This restaurant, inside the Outlaw Inn, offered a nice variety of food options and the indoor "patio" was skylit and comfortable. Their house made strawberry vinaigrette tasted like farm fresh berries. Eric was an excellent server. The upstairs bar offers a full menu and is welcoming with a small patio and plenty of indoor seating. There is currently some active remodeling. I can't speak to the hotel amenities, we only stopped for lunch. The parking lot was accommodating to our trailer which a different eatery was not.

I am here for two days and have eaten at the open range twice. My server, Sierra, was excellent and the food is very very good Then it happened!!! I ordered the the house specialty desert. "Grilled Carrot Cake a'la Mode". I can't remember having a more delicious, sublime desert ever. Yes, it was that good! Go, just for this desert! Words can't do it justice. You could center an evening on the experience.

If you want to wait extremely long in a understandingly patient and nice way for overpriced food, then have management be rude and uncaring to you then this is your spot. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL. Myself and one other person went to the Open Range for dinner. When we arrived we noticed it was busy, a party of about 15 or possibly more sitting at a long table, also a party of 5 sat down minutes before us. We were seated promptly and a server ran by to tell us she would be back soon for drinks. We waited 15 minutes before speaking to anyone again or even getting a simple glass of water. Finally the waitress came back and apologized for the wait, saying they had a large party. Myself and my guest were very understanding seeing as how the large party of people was taking a lot of their small staff to maintain. We ended up waiting over 45 minutes for 2 meals, all the while the polite and cheerful server (Samantha, who was amazing and at no fault) apologized profusely for the wait. We also witnessed about 4 other tables other than us also wait agitatedly for the long wait for food. When we finally got our food, it was pretty good but definitely overpriced for what it was. Upon leaving the restaurant we noticed the family of 5 that arrived before us was leaving too, their waitress mentioned a 10% discount because of “how patiently they waited”. After I paid for the meal two other couples behind had mentioned how they had, had their drinks comped because they waited so long for food (and we were there BEFORE these two other couples who got discounts. I asked for the manager and she was a rude y’all red headed woman with glasses. This awfully rude and disconcerted manager didn’t even introduce herself and when I told her that it’s rude to offer discounts to some people and not others, especially when we waited the same amount and LONGER than others, she just asked if I already paid. When I said yes she just scoffed and said that she was sorry and that she wasn’t there at the time when we got there. Even though I saw her walking around busting tables the ENTIRE TIME I was present. She even began to walk away from me when I was still talking and explaining that it’s unjust to blankly give some people discounts and not to others, particularly concerning that my party and I waited understandingly and patiently. Bottom line if you want a wonderful waitress who is sweet, attentive and apologetic go here. Also, if you want overpriced food, rude management that is unfair and bluntly uncaring then you can also go here.

Very clean. Pleasant staff. Room was clean up to date decor. Bed comfortable. Linens clean fresh smelling. Nice shower good water pressure. A little too much water softener.. breakfast was a sit down serve style included with the room. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We are musicians who play in Rock Springs, WY a couple times a year and one of our employers (a local community center) puts us up at the Best Western Outlaw Inn. We love the hotel, and their free breakfast that's actually a REAL cooked-to-order breakfast, not a glorified carb-and-sugar overload! When you check in, the front desk gives each person in the party a form to fill out, where you choose what you want for breakfast and give to your server. You get to pick 3 items from a pretty extensive list that includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit and cereal (hot and cold), just to name a few. You then pick a drink (milk or juice) and coffee and/or tea is comp. We've partaken of this service 3-4 times now and each time, our plates arrived quickly, the food was hot and fresh, and the servers (mostly long-term employees) were polite and efficient. Last time we went, I got the pancakes and expected to see just moderate size hot cakes - they took up the whole dang plate, I couldn't finish them! We look forward to our next stay at the BW Outlaw, and breakfast at the Open Range!
