The customer servive is not there. When my girlriend said she didnt know anything about jewery they both we rude instead of being freindly and showing her. Then, the worker kept making werid faces after every question we would answer. We also had to ask fot jewery boxes for our items we just bought. Worst customer experiece ever.

The first lady that helped was so nice very helpful in trying to get my ring fixed after the stone fell out second lady was rude and snotty and tried to tell me i didn't have correct insurance to have my stone replaced when it has been replaced multiple times before so i knew i did, then tried to upsell me a different ring.

If you want sell jewelry and feel unsafe while doing so, get absolutely lowballed, get interrogated and treated like a criminal and also much be 21 and older to sell them anything which is not any kind of law. this by all means is the place to do so. Save yourself some time and go 8min down the road for better prices and better customer service and not get legally robbed. I will never be going back to this place. Thank you, have a fantastic day.

Currently no one is answering the phone to see if an appointment is needed. I don't see any posting of store closing or hours changing due to covid.

I purchased a14k yellow gold Cathedral style ring as well as a loose 2.43 ct round brilliant Natural Diamond that J*Kamin had set in the Cathedral style ring. Also, I purchased a 14k yellow gold Benchmark Super Light Comfort Fit 7 mm band as well. I waited two weeks for my rings to come back to me. When J*Kamin called me I was there in a flash, I was ecstatic! It was everything I knew it would be! I put my trust in J*Kamin Jewelers! I have for over 40 years! He is the best in the Rockford area hands down. Very trustworthy. J*Kamin knows his business. Him and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. When you call his store you will always talk to someone and not an answering machine. From my heart J*Kamin thank you for allowing a dream to come true! You truly are the best! My husband of 50 years recently passed away and I felt comfort in wearing his wedding ring on a chain. I had several other pieces of jewelry he had given me over the years and took them with me when I visited J. Kamin Jewelers. Jay and his staff made me feel so comfortable as he worked to use my "memory pieces" in the design. As he listened to me speak about my husband and our life together he slowly began to sketch a design and explained the process of making a custom piece. Jay kept me updated on the status of my piece and delivered it quickly and within my budget. I would highly recommend Jay for all your jewelry needs.

Went looking for a ring that matches my husbands and was amazed at how welcoming this little shop was. We were immediately greeted and when told what we were looking for were helped like any other customer even though our budget wasn't very large. Jay the owner helped us out with what he had and what could and couldn't be sized, his other (female) associate was also very nice and helpful. I left another jewelry store disappointed, I decided to stop in at J Kamin and I’m glad I did. They had exactly what I wanted. It was a custom piece. Jay completed it before his projected date. It is beautiful!!! I have since taken things in for repair or refurbished. I highly recommend going in for all jewelry needs!!!

I was so happy to find this local, trustworthy, and friendly jeweler! When I walked into J. Kamin, I was greeted promptly and we started to discuss what I was looking for in an updated wedding ring set. Jay was able to show me options of how to use my existing stones. I selected a band, and he helped design a ring to complement perfectly. The turnaround time was about 4 weeks for a custom design, and sizing of a band. They kept me apprised of the status and were so helpful and kind during the entire process. I am so happy with the final outcome and felt this was the first jeweler that really understood what I wanted and came through with the perfect ring for me!

I first found this place last summer and have had several watch batteries replaced since then. Each time I have found the service to be professional and reasonably priced. My watches were ready when promised and in the same condition as when I dropped them off. Thank you for the consistently great service.

Everyone working at J. Kamin’s are very nice professionals, (Jay hires only the best). I have purchased several pieces for myself and for gifts, and have never been disappointed. I’ve looked at many beautiful items and even with my limited knowledge of fine jewelry, everything seems to be priced fairly. You never feel rushed and Jay and his staff always find the time to be helpful and to converse with you. Today, for example, I brought in a Garmin Vivofit that needed a battery. Jay didn’t have the battery, but his assistant looked online and found the batteries at Amazon(where else?). I will order them and Jay will install them, when they are delivered. The only problem, I can see, with shopping at J. Kamin’s, is you will find yourself wanting one of each of the pieces in his showcases. Oh, I almost forgot, I trusted Jay with the diamond from my engagement ring, which he reset in a beautiful pendant that was his original design. The finished piece turned out quite lovely. I would highly recommend this shop for everything from battery replacements to rings for that very special day. As an added bonus, my husband even enjoys stopping in once in a while just to say, “howdy!” However, he wishes I wasn’t with him (for obvious reasons).

I’ve had two great experiences with JKamin Jewelers. The first time I took in two watches to be repaired and needed to be sent away. They were back in less than a week. The second time he was very patient as he helped me pick out a gold necklace from his catalog. He ordered the necklace based on my description, and in came in to be exactly what I wanted. The necklace was also received in only a few days. Jay went out of his way for me both times, so I will be back, and most definitely recommend him to you.

We had a very pleasant experience when dealing with Mr. Kamin. He is very knowledgeable in his field and beyond helpful! We selected a new solitaire diamond stone for my 40 year old wedding ring. It’s a dazzling beauty and just the right size for the setting and budget. We also had other rings sized and watches repaired. All work was completed within a week. Went in for jewelry repair and resizing of 2 rings. Rings are done -fixed and shiny, in less than 2 weeks. They look better than brand new. Beautiful!

I was very pleased with this business. Friendly and very helpful. I brought two watches in to this jewelry store to get the batteries replaced. He noticed my wedding ring ( white Gold) was missing some sprockets holding my diamond in. I left my rings there. I picked them up today ( a week 1/2 later) He did a awesome job, replaced the missing sprockets. ANN & BRYNA went out of their way to help me find a bracelet for my wife. I was traveling for work and out of state. I was going from store to store and finding the website was not accurate showing who had it in stock. I called to the local Kay jewelers near my home, stated what I was looking for. While I was driving/traveling, Ann calls me said she looked on their corporate site and verified none were avail where I was and that they could have 1 in a day for me. I was saved. My Wife was Amazed on her new gift and couldn't believe how beautiful it is! Amazing customer service and I week always go to Ann & Bryna at Kay Jewelers in Machesney Park. Hands down the BEST!
