This is a small restaurant but amazing place. I visited due to 2 year anniversary special $10 per bowl. Normally, it is varied between $16-20 depending on which flavor. I tried the miso ramen. The broth is super rich and flavorful. It makes you want to keep drinking it. Strong miso flavor with black sesame oil on top. Super delicious combination and aroma. I feel a little salty in the end but what is better than having a tap Asahi beer with it. The chashu pork is tasty, balanced very well without too much fat. It has been torch flaked before served which is a bonus. Pork gyoza is perfectly cooked with outside crispy and inside soft and juicy. The fillings are full with cabbage and pork which is worth the price. Overall, food is perfect and exceeded expectations. Customer service isn’t very relevant due to self service order, can’t give a score on that one. Restaurant wise, dark lighting, clean environment. Definitely worth a try if you live near around the area.

It's the best ramen ever! This is food for your soul! The team is always friendly and service impeccable! The broth is just unreal, so rich and flavoursome. I just wish they would be open for lunch during the week, especially in the cooler months.

4.25 ⭐ - One of my favourite ramen places in Gold Coast! Probably tasted almost similar to the ramen back in Japan. Both the original and black garlic was amazing, thick broth and a bit on the salty side. Noodles were cooked perfectly. 🍜 Pork gyoza - was very salty that you didn't need soy sauce

Great food, although next time ill ask for less ginger on my vegetarian ramen. Cute atmospheric restaurant and lovely staff.

Finally I found authentic Japanese ramen. Soup was full of flavour and noodle was cooked properly. Not very hard. Chicken was very crispy and tender inside with unique sauce on top.

Very kids friendly, first they brought the color pencils & paper for my daughter to play while waiting for our food, second, they have kids ramen on the menu as well. Staff are super nice, warm and inviting !! I ordered spicy ramen, it is so tasty !! Thank you guys for providing us an excellent dinning experience.

Best ramen in the gold coast so far. Been missing good ramen since leaving Sydney and this place is top quality. Got the black garlic ramen, was perfect temperature, broth was a nice thickness with so much flavour, the chashu was so tender. Everything was great. Service was very friendly although food was a little slow but they'd only been open for half an hour and quite a few people already seated. Restaurant was very clean and decor was cute. Wish they had a little more variety with the ramen but still awesome ❤️

Wow. Super tasty ramen, loved the chashu pork, noodles are cooked to perfection. The soup is packed with meaty flavour. Best ramen I’ve had so far in Australia!

Had a lovely meal with my partner today. This is for sure an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant with very decent food and decent price. No other ramen restaurant in Gold Coast can beat the maze ramen in tĥis restaurant. The spice is strong enough and the amount of flavor reminded me of my time in Tokyo. The broth of the tonkotsu soup is very thick and tasty and you can tell it is cooked with a lot of effort and passion. Unlike a random 15 AUD hakadaya ramen, this is for sure a bowl worth trying after a beach walk. Thank you very much for the nice service as well 🙂

I have been very lucky to eat a lot of ramen from a lot of different places and countries. Goukai is one of the top bowls of ramen that I have ever had. The tonkotsu is ridiculously thick and noodles deliciously chewy. Probably the best seasoned eggs in Australia as well. Can’t recommend more highly!!

Ordered the spicy ramen and chicken karaage for dining in. waited around 45 minutes. The Ramen broth is super tasty! similar flavour back in Japan. If you don’t mind to wait, highly recommended the Ramen👍

My partner and I endured hours of start /stop highway traffic from Brisbane with the sole intent on smashing one of QLDs best bowls. And honestly its the best we have had. The broth was thick and flavourful, the chopped ingredients were fresh and delicious. Not the mention the chashu. Goodness me it was divine. Absolutely worth the drive, fantastic work Goukai.

Very good ramen place I frequent quite often. One of the best on the Gold Coast. The place can get busy during peak hours. Had the Black garlic ramen a few times and their karaage chicken. Meals are packed with flavour and the portions generous. You can order by QR code or at the counter.

Killer ramen joint. Really good melt in your mouth chasiu, and super thick broth. Good selection of toppings, and a pretty great 19 bucks for a beer and bowl deal on Friday/weekend lunches. Cool skate/surf/hiphop vibe they got going too.

Absolutely incredible every time we've come here. The tonkostsu broth is amazing, thick, soupy and everything I've ever wanted in a ramen. Had the karaage and gyoza and they were beautiful as well. Service is quick and the atmosphere in the place is perfect. We drive down from Brisbane to come and eat here, some of the best ramen we've experienced in Australia, easily top 5.

They cook one of the best ramens here north of Sydney. It’s quite out of the way for us but I’ve always tried to come here for ramen when I get the chance to be in the area.

Best Ramen! Authentic creamy Tonkotsu flavour not too salty, nice portion. Go on weekend and couple with cold beers! Nice music, Japanese feel decors.

A hearty bowl of delicious ramen is exactly what was required after a long day of exploring the gold coast. Thankfully, Goukai delivered in abundance. This is some of the best ramen we have ever had and at an affordable price point to boot. The Karrage chicken made for a worthy opening act!
