Monument built in memory of the 11 citizens of Galatiu who died in the events of December 1989. Unfortunately, the vigil flame no longer burns, and the paving on the esplanade is slippery in winter.

28 years ago, in January 1990, here was a communist thing, some kind of artesian that didn't work. People started to put candles, for our dead in the Revolution. Later, when the question of a monument to heroes arose, this place obviously became the best. The monument is simple, but it is well cared for.
