Truly one of the most memorable tours I had. Our guide Dan, was a rare gem. A historian by training and once a news presenter, Dan brought Transylvania to live. He wasn't just going through the known facts, but the lesser known as well. Why was Corvin Castle built the way it was, what does the actual historical evidence reveal about murder holes, what was the social dynamics like for the towns in Sibiu back in the day? This is where Dan's knowledge makes this not just a typical tour. Highly recommended!

I will give 5 out of 5 stars without thinking twice because Timisoara City Tours guides are just beyond the expectations 😍 ... All the one day and two day trips are organized so amazingly that you will never get bored and you will start loving the city ... Timisoara is a really nice and historical place . And guides make you feel the place is more interesting .. If you're traveling to romania then just book the packages and go with them .. it's worth the money .. ❤️ and Romania is absolutely worth a visit 🇷🇴

As part of a corporate event, we booked a Timisoara Food Tour with Timisoara City Tours. We could not be happier with our choice. Our tour consisted of 3 stops at restaurants where we had 4 courses of food in total (plus some drinks for sure). Everything was yummy and the concept to try out different kinds of food in different restaurants (plus an explanation what you're eating and where the food originates from) was simply great. While walking to the next stop, we were guided "along" the top downtown sights of Timisoara. If you've limited time to spend and you have no plans for dinner yet, the food tour is a perfect option to consider. Our guide Dan really did a great job, is a studied history teacher (despite that he's quite an entertaining guy, so no worries) and fluent in Romanian, English and German. I personally can at least confirm his German and English skills. He's passionate about his job and really enjoys showing people around - especially after COVID was forcing the whole industry to have a 2 years break. Thank you for hosting us and ensuring we're having a good time, Dan! We'll definitely show up the next time we're around and try out the new Romanian fast food tour, you're planning to implement. ;) See you!

Good Tourguide , history and stories of Timisoara and Transilvania be told very good

Our Erasmus group, representing staff and faculty of universities from different nations, were led on a whole day tour through Timisoara, on foot but also briefly on a boat. We were introduced to the multicultural history of the nation (and how it is reflected in the city's impressive architecture, which was also detailed by the guide) and into the relatively recent developments brought about by the 1989 revolution, in which Timisoara played a leading and transformative role. Our guide, who was born and raised here, was absolutely informative and enthusiastic about the city's political stories, its buildings, and key figures. He also could offer an insider's knowledge of places off the beaten track, such as the Faber Cultural Center and the Communist Consumer Museum. I personally enjoyed the guide's take on the potential of the city, which he could point out in recently renovated buildings and city initiatives. The visit to the Museum of the Revolution, while sobering, was well balanced by this. Bottom line: This was -- from 10 am to nearly 7 pm -- an engaging, informative, and even inspiring tour. Kudos and thanks!

Great tour! Our guide took us through the history of the fortress and the City. We highly recommend the tour which combines old and new, spicy details about the former rulers of the region that gave flavour to the story.

Best experience I ever had with a local guide. Ludovic is a very knowledgeable guide with plenty of inside knowledge about the city, even my teenage kid loved the tour. This guided tour is a must if you ever have the chance to visit Timișoara.
