If
you’re
on
the
lookout
for
a
quiet
stay
when
visiting
Târgu-Mureș,
Capra
vecinului,
which
literally
translates
as
“neighbour’s
goat”
may
just
be
the
right
place.
Accessibility:
it
sits
right
at
the
entrance
in
Sângeorgiu
de
Mureș,
which
in
all
but
name
is
just
another
neighbourhood
of
Târgu-Mureș,
and
it
manages
to
strike
a
perfect
balance
between
the
need
to
move
in
the
city
(the
place
is
actually
15
min
on-foot
–
the
lazy
version
of
it
–
from
the
historical
downtown)
and
the
tranquillity
of
life
in
the
countryside
(the
actual
house
sits
a
good
200
yards
from
the
main
street,
and
is
well
shielded
from
traffic
noise,
in
between
gardens
and
orchards).
Btw,
the
neighbour’s
goat
does
exist,
and
in
early
autumn
the
apples
falling
to
the
ground
left
me
feeling
somewhat
Newtonian,
in
a
most
romantic
way.
House:
clean,
clean,
and
clean.
I’m
a
bare-footer
whenever
I
get
the
chance,
and
this
is
one
of
the
few
places
I
could
trust
to
walk
barefooted
outside
my
room.
You
won’t
get
blown
away
by
the
design:
it’s
not
Transylvanian
traditional,
if
you’re
expecting
that,
and
is
modern
in
a
rather
anonymous
way
(the
good,
and
not
distasteful
kind),
but
it
is
the
kind
of
pleasant
and
comforting,
minimalistic
anonymous
that
provides
functionality,
adding
the
bonus
that
rooms
are
thought
out
in
such
a
way
that
they
provide
virtually
perfect
intimacy.
Room
design-wise,
there’s
the
touch
of
someone
who
understands
how
to
create
a
welcoming
atmosphere:
light
and
colours
in
my
room
were
a
soothing
palette
of
delicate
yellows
+
there’s
really
good
air:
spent
all
the
time
in
with
the
windows
open
(there’s
no
AC,
but
I
think
even
in
hot
summers
it
won’t
be
needed).
Staff:
very
polite
and
non-intrusive
+
truly,
truly
quick
to
answer.
I
had
all
my
interactions
online,
and
all
my
questions
and
needs
were
very
promptly
answered.
The
feeling
I’ve
got
was
that
of
being
a
guest
in
someone’s
own
home,
in
a
good
way.
Loads
of
thumb-ups,
definitely
worth
considering!
