So my friend couldn’t stop telling me about Talisman and how GOOD the food was. I finally visited them today and I swear I don’t think I’ve ever had such good food ever! The food was absolutely delicious 🤤 and I couldn’t get enough of it. I had duck legs with veggies I can’t remember the name of the dish but I will never forget how sumptuous that meal was! Food with some serious soul in it. Food you’d definitely recommend to all your friends and family. Talisman, keep it up 👍🏿

We had a number of hours to kill due to our flight arriving at Wilson and our later flight from main Nairobi airport......what a great place and of course saved us eating on the BA flight to London where, in Club class they offered us curry or a fish dish, BA catering at its worst! If you have the opportunity and time, make sure that when you in Nairobi that you go and eat at the Talisman. The place's layout, furniture and intricate woodwork on the window frames, windows and doors are really stunning! Their food is really well prepared and very tasty. If you love spicy and HOT🔥🔥🔥chicken wings, you must try their Talisman chicken wings. Really tasteful. Their steak was done as requested and the sides was done to perfection.

A really lovely find, very atmospheric restaurant in Nairobi. Definitely would recommend a visit. Lots of exciting menu choices, the steak was superb. Nice puddings and decent wine menu. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Definitely ask for a frog with coals in its mouth if you are getting cold in the outdoor seating!

My sushi platter was AMAZINGLY delicious, probably the top five sushi meals I’ve ever had. This was quite a feat for a restaurant that has a diverse menu and doesn’t specialize in sushi. We had a party of 15 and everything I saw on the table looked delicious and was superbly presented. The apps were delicious as well. Ambiance and food were outstanding and I cannot wait to return!

Excellent restaurant in Karen. The Salmon Fillet is my favorite. A surprise was a black gyoza filled with ground-up salmon mixture. Highly recommended dish and restaurant.

The highlight for me was the food. The salad was very fresh and the food was tasty. It also didn't take long after ordering despite the place being almost at full capacity. Service was very good. The server kept tabs on us and ensured we were okay. It's best to make a reservation to get good seats outside, the spots seem popular. The place has lots of trees and greenery, expect to see many insects like bees and caterpillars around you! They were quite harmless though unless you are skittish. Overall, a nice place for lunch, dinner or a group meeting.

Had a fantastic lunch with some delicious sushi platter and a nitro bistro beer that was very creamy and delicious. It was a child friendly step up thanks to the playground and painting and my daughter enjoyed both :)

The atmosphere is beautiful and you feel taken care of by the wait staff. The Zanzibar seafood soup is top tier. You have to get it as a starter. The sushi I had was just OK and the ceviche was horrible it was so oily 🤢

Take the best culinary experience you've had and 10x that. Expectations were high and they delivered. The snapper, the Gyoza, the pork belly, the Toddy.... everything was top notch. Tony our server was also hands on and made us feel at home. It was super busy though, so a reservation is recommended.

Urban eatery offers multi-cultural or continental food, with a premium asthetic. In my opinion one can order multiple cuisines at once to satisfy mixed cravings. Went for lunch at the Talisman it is an amazing restaurant. The design is rustic and the food was absolutely amazing. I had a calamari dish for starter, twice cooked sticky duck legs with Bao bun for entree and for dessert I had a Classic Bakewell Tart with almonds and blueberries. Each of the dishes were executed to perfection. For a drink I had the Tali Mocktail. I would recommend that they improve on their mocktail offering. Overall it is a fantastic restaurant, with real fire place, nice ambience and great food. I highly recommend them.

At peak time one is likely to miss a spot so it’s advisable to book in advance if possible. They feature a new painter every month and their art is displayed all round the restaurant and is on sale. The squid appetizer was overcooked and rubbery, my steak, although cooked perfectly, was tough and could not be cut with the dinner knife provided. A steak knife was not offered and only supplied after requested. Not once did our server ask us during any of our 3 course meal, if or how we were enjoying our meal... Maybe they are aware of how their standards have dropped since last year! This used to be one of my favourite spots in Nairobi, but due to the price of food plus the diminished service and quality I don't think I'll be returning... Very sad to see a great establishment decline this much!.

Variety and quality of food options are fantastic, and the setting is beautiful with a great ambiance. I went for dinner, but there is a huge new area for kids to play, if you go during the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you want to ask for food recommendations. The samosas with coriander are great as a starter and the sushi platter is great to share between two people.

The food is always great, the atmosphere relaxed, and the service is always attentive and friendly without being overbearing. There are quiet corners where you can enjoy a more intimate dining experience as well as umbrella shaded tables in the open air where you feel more a part of the Talisman community. I would leave zero stars if I could ,came for lunch on Sunday and the service was such a disappointment, the waiters paid no attention , talisman- if you’re not capable of serving guests don’t take extra bookings , the wait to place our order was long , the waiter paid no attention on giving us the menus , we didn’t see our waiter until the food came and needed extras but there was no one bothered to serve us or get us any extras , we had to literately hunt for him to pay the bill ! Absolutely disappointed with the service !

I loved the ambience the warm inviting environment. I ordered some burgers and pork ribs and I was in for a treat ,very delicious and sweet. There is a kids play area not so far from the restaurant and that is really good for monitoring your kids while enjoying your food but it depends on where you seat. I have been to Talisman many times before and the food and service has always been very good however last night I experienced a very rude reception from one Ruth. We were abit late for our booking and immediately we got there my husband apologised and she rudely responded by telling us how late we were and we should make our orders very fast. Best food experience I've had in Nairobi. Everything on the menu was delicious and presentation was great. The pork buns was the only item I found lacking. I had the salmon starter, pork belly entre and creme brulee for dessert. The atmosphere is beautiful. Great vibe for a special occasion.

However the food could have been great. I ordered the sweet& sour chicken. The sauce on it didnt feel natural compared to what am used to at Chinese restaurants. Horrible experience. I had made a reservation for two, 1 week in advance actually. Got there and all the tables that seat two people are occupied. They insisted on us occupying a table met for six. The table was too big and located on the edge of the restaurant. We were literary seated outside the seating area. The place was too cold and on enquiring on the jiko we were told none was available yet the other guests had one. The waiter took 30 minutes to finally get us the menu and take our orders. Food arrived almost an hour later. A White couple who walked in ten minutes after us, were served in record time and by the time out food was being served they were already having desert. Themes of subtle racism were everywhere... I wouldn't recommend the experience...

They take a very short time to deliver the food and the hosts are very warm and keen to ensure you have an amazing experience. No background music so it is a place to have conversations without interruptions. The parking lot is not so spacious.

Talisman is a wonderful restaurant! Tonight I had the Salt & Pepper Squid followed by the Kung Pao Chicken. Both delicious, and both very generous portions not a volume combination for the faint hearted. The Kung Pao chicken is packed full of chicken, it’s really a very generous bowl. I had no room for dessert! As always the atmosphere & staff on point, kids running around having fun and a good buzz on a Sunday evening. As someone travelling for work this is nice. I’m not sure I’m quite a regular but it’s a must eat every time I stay in Karen.

When you go there, the bbq baby back ribs are a must! Slide off the bone, and the sauce has you licking your fingers. Don't get me started on the pork baozi!!! The feta samosas weren't as good as I expected, but I must say the sauce made it worth it. All the sauces that accompanied the dishes were amazing. Need to know what was in that sweet nectarine like sauce that came with the baozi. 🤤🤤🤤 They even have blankets if you are cold.

Fastest service I get in whole Kenya and really friendly staff. The food was nice but not perfect. I would revisit to taste others kn the menu.

The foood was amazing environment was amazing the painting wow the artist is magnificent and they allow to have a professional photographer with you in their garden i really enjoyed the environment plus its amazing pro tip ask the waiter to recommend your dish well adding to the best waiter is FABIAN thank you

Never disappoints! Consistent with food. Always new dishes in the menu. Plenty of fusion in the cuisine. Nice cozy atmosphere. Gets packed over evenings esp weekends. Better make a reservation.

Amazing food, beyond expectations. Fresh and innovative. Slick service and good ambience. Can’t recommend highly enough, but make sure you book!
