My husband and I recently stayed at the 1840 Carrollton Inn for our anniversary. What a great experience! Everyone on the staff, from the desk personnel to the housekeepers, were wonderful ... very nice, professional, and helpful. Our room was absolutely beautiful! Very elegant and extremely comfortable. And I don't want to forget about the breakfast! Delicious and complete! This isn't the normal breakfast you get at other B&B's. We tried the special 1840 juice, omelet, pancakes, and more, and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We are already talking about staying in the future. Thank you, 1840, for a wonderful stay and memorable anniversary!

My husband and I had a great babymoon getaway! The host who checked us in was very helpful and friendly. We were even allowed to check-in early and park while we used our discounted aquarium tickets. Quick walk 10-15min walks to dinner spots, shopping and the aquarium made everything feel casual. Great customizable breakfast too! The fresh cookies at night are a nice touch:)

We had a great stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful and I ur room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and we hope to be back soon. The only need for improvement is the EV charging situation. One station has no power and the other has power but will not initiate charging so we were out of luck. The staff did know one station was out of order but did not know the other one was having issues as well. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Excellent service, location, and value! Right across a canal and <15 min walk from most everything in Baltimore Inner Harbor. Room was very clean. Location seemed safe but it’s a quiet residential area and at night there’s few pedestrians, so stay alert. Parking lot is gravel and a little tricky to navigate, but that’s expected for cities - it is well lit with security cameras and electric car chargers.

Very friendly staff and nice quaint rooms. I have stayed in historical hotels before, and they typically tend to feel their age. The 1840’s Carrollton Inn has the vintage look and feel but the amenities like the bath, shower, toilets, lighting etc… all function in a modern way. The lobby area has several small areas for larger groups to hang out together in a semi private setting. Walking distance to several restaurants, little Italy, and a Starbucks. They also have room service and coffee service, which arrived at the exact specified time.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was super clean and beautiful. The breakfast was incredible. They have a private lot to park which is a big bonus because it's expensive to park anywhere in the city. We just ubered from the hotel and saved money on parking.

Staying here was a superlative experience. You won’t get anything like the care and service they provide here in chain hotels, so skip them and stay here instead. We stayed in room 201, a beautiful sun filled room that overlooked the courtyard. We also took the romance package which was very tastefully done, and well worth the money. Abundant rose petals and candles, lovely huge strawberries and several bouquets. The concierge was kind enough to conspire with me to make it a surprise for my partner; calling me when we were out for dinner to confirm that we were away before setting it all up. All in all, they deserve their rating and I will definitely choose them again if I’m stopping by in Baltimore.

We stayed here because the hotel where the conference was being held was sold out. A little research on Google Maps and this popped up. Best decision I ever made. The location in Little Italy and the Fells Point was most convenient. We could walk to all the places we wanted to go. Parking is right next to the hotel. Breakfast served in room, dining room or outside courtyard. Coffee service early was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Bathroom had a jacuzzi. Absolutely no complaints. We will stay here rather than a big hotel. Great accommodations in Baltimore.

Wonderful B&B with very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are more traditional than modern but still have everything you need. I loved the extra touches of breakfast being included & freshly baked cookies downstairs. Parking was easy and free next door. I would recommend & stay again!

I had won a free night, and I am so so happy I won! The suite was gorgeous, and it felt so nice being able to have a staycation before the work week. I love that they will deliver coffee to your room in the am, and you're able to set a breakfast time that works for you. The breakfast was quite tasty as well! The front desk staff are very helpful and accommodating. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. Thanks again!

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful experience! Beautiful room, quiet property, and very kind staff. Having the option to choose your breakfast items and eat in the courtyard was so nice! Highly recommend this location. We'll be back!

What a beautiful hotel! I love historical buildings and this one was amazing! The décor in the rooms was period accurate with furniture to match. My husband and I got the romance package and when we walked in our room there were rose petals and candles lit everywhere, as well as chocolate covered strawberries in our fridge. Beautiful tile in the bathroom, whirlpool tub, big shower and super comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing. Brought it right to our room. We both got the omelet and they have gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options. Also fresh baked cookies in the evening for a snack! Beautiful garden outside to have breakfast in if you'd like. We will definitely be back!

We are B&B enthusiasts. This was an okay B& B experience. The food was okay but not amazing. I wish they would have taken advantage to the Baltimore food scene and offered a more diverse menu. The rooms itself was large and over all nice. The furniture was not comfortable. Our room did have a large bathtub and shower that were amazing and worth it all. The service how however, was amazing. The staff went above and beyond they were professional and attentive. 5 stars for the staff and service!

Better than franchise hotels. Hands down. Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night and it was lovely. The option for breakfast in room was free of charge, and the staff even let us park our car in their parking lot even after we checked out! The staffs were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the jacuzzi was big enough to fit 2 people. It was just lovely, lovely experience and I will definitely visit again.

My hubby and I went to a concert at Baltimore soundstage, which is only 2 blocks away. This was the perfect location to base our self at. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful with nice furniture and furnishings. Breakfast was amazing! We sat in the courtyard and had cocktails under the lights, and it was a really nice experience. I highly recommend it!

Booked this for a 2 night wedding anniversary trip after coming across it randomly on Google. What a wonderful experience. Although the surrounding streets aren’t amazing, the on-site parking was very convenient and the Inn’s security was very comforting. Stacia upgraded us to a suite completely free of charge because it was our anniversary and she was just lovely and welcoming in general. The other staff members were very accommodating as well. Breakfast was good (try the 1840s juice) and the chocolate chip cookies and coffee downstairs is such a nice touch. The Inn is very conveniently located to walk to the Inner Harbor and also Little Italy where there is AMAZING food! If we ever come back to Baltimore we would definitely stay here again!

What an absolute Gem in the City. The Staff was Welcoming and Rooms were delightful, very clean and cozy. The coffee bar and cookies made me feel at home. The breakfast was 5 star served in the beautiful Victorian dining room. I can't wait to stay here again. Super convenient to the Harbor and great dining.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place! The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The staff was friendly and so helpful. The breakfast was customized to our order with great attention to detail. The grounds are beautiful. Easy walk to Inner Harbor. Easily the best stay we have ever had. Thank you for a lovely time!

An oasis in the city proper, quiet & cozy environment, and fabulous staff service. I would have given a 5 Star review if there were changes in the breakfast menu daily. However I must note, there are multiple options on the same daily menu.

An amazing luxury hotel. The decor and amenities are one of a kind. Each room is regal and one of a kind. And they honestly have the best beds I’ve ever slept in! King size marvels. (I have back pain and could not believe how well I slept!) All around, this is a hotel to stay at and feel like you’re in the lap of luxury. I can’t wait to go back again. A stay I’ll treasure forever! Thank you.

I needed at the last minute a place to stay in downtown Baltimore and Carrollton Inn fit the bill perfectly with a more comfortable room to similarly priced hotels nearby. Room was clean and comfortable, free WiFi, free bottled water, and an outstanding breakfast. All staff were polite and accommodating. Love that they will bring coffee to your room in the morning at a time you request. Also like the option to have breakfast on the quiet patio. Location is in quaint Jonestown, close to downtown, and they have a small free parking lot for guests. Only complaint--which can't really be helped--is street-facing rooms can get some street noise and light from nearby Lombard.

I came across this hotel just by searching for a weekend getaway. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend. I loved what I saw and I went for it. I was a little nervous that the room wasn’t going to look like the picture. But let me tell you, IT WAS JUST LIKE THE PHOTO!!!! We LOVED it!!!! Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was awesome. We are definitely going to be booking again with them soon. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great place for a special occasion! This was our first time staying, very impressed by the suite! It's an easy walk to one harbor, longer to fells point, but doable. Breakfast was very good, and sizable. It's more expensive than we would normally do, but much better than a standard hotel. They even had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! I think my only "complaint" is the street noise.

This little place is so awesome!! My chocolate strawberries were waiting for me in my small fridge in my room when I arrived!! The historical plaques outside each room and mini art gallery are different and interesting. Very clean establishment and the staff is so friendly!! If you stay here make sure to sneak downstairs for fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the evening.

Wonderful stay!! Our Suite was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was great. The location is really nice for being able to walk to Little Italy for dinner and you're close for other Inner Harbor attractions.

We were looking for a romantic and relaxing place to stay for our 25th anniversary. This hotel met and exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean. The king bed was very soft. The double jacuzzi was exactly what we needed. We choose to have the full breakfast served to our room but the dining room is super cute. The berries were so fresh and sweet; really, all of breakfast was delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was in walking distance to Little Italy, Inner Harbor and Fells Point. We look forward to another visit soon.

What a beautiful, quaint venue! The room was wonderful, the staff was very kind, and the breakfast (made to order) was delicious. Bonus points for the coffee delivered to the door of our suite in the morning! No issue with the parking lot either. I'll share a pic of our room. I also picked up a teacup from the gift shop. Thanks again!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. This little boutique hotel was the best possible choice we could have made in the heart of the city. Everything was within walking distance. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfortable. Room was huge. Bathroom was enormous. Jacuzzi bathtub... I'll say no more about that :-).

Hi Lauren - please contact me as this was not the ideal solution. Terrible service. They bait and switch, the front desk staff is rude, and quite frankly M***o in particular is as creative and helpful as a box of burnt sticks. They acknowledged a booking I made for a newlywed couple but on the day of the booking refused to honor it without my ID present. Mind you, I live multiple hours away. I understand consumer protections, but people and businesses book stays for other people all the time. There are forms and procedures for this. But in this case, there was endless loops of conversation and arguments with M***o because the manager was on vacation. How do you have a manager on vacation, but no one else in charge? In the end, I had to embarrassingly ask the newlyweds (yes, newlyweds) to find another hotel, and M****o was able to "break policy" and refund me. That was odd, because the couple couldn't stay since that would have "broke policy." None of it made any sense. So, just stay away from this place if you are looking for an easy, stress free stay.
