The aesthetic of the hotel was really amazing, but that's the only good thing I can say of this hotel sadly. First problem was the shower, I have small hair by my shoulders and don't lose much hair, however everytime I had to wash my hair the shower would clog and the water would flood the entire bathroom, this happened 3 times, and since the bathroom has no ventilation, it would always take at least 24 hours to dry. The cleaning team would unclog the drain everytime, but as soon as I tried to wash my hair again it would rehappen, it was hell. Then we have the lock on the bedroom door, since I was travelling alone, it was really important for the lock to work so I could feel safe. However it was broken. I had to ask the front desk to come check it and the only thing they did was schedule someone to repair it the next day, they didnt move me to a room with a working lock for the night, no, they just told me to wait for the next day. Since anyone at the entrance could take the elevators up, I felt uneasy and didn't sleep the entire night. The next day they did come and fix it, however if someone used a key to open the door from the outside, the lock would unlock to let the person in? I never had that happen in any hotel before and it seems to defeat the point of having a lock to start with... Lastly we have the cleaning of the rooms, after 6 days of no one changing the sheets or the towels I had to request a change of linens at the front desk, it's absurd that in a 11 days stay they didn't intend to change the linens once. Besides that the curtains and lamps had a few spider webs and dead bugs they didn't bother cleaning during the whole stay. Besides that, the curtains gap a lot between the rod and the walls, so there was always outside light entering the room, you could never get the room fully dark which sucks if you need darnkness to sleep. Aditionally my bedroom window was in front of stairs and another hallway so if I had the curtains open, any guest could look into my room and belongings, great for privacy right? I also had requested a room on the top floor for personal reasons, they completly ignored that and gave me a room in the first floor, not even in the second, just straight up first floor. For this price tag I rather stay at cityhub or citizenm, my whole stay in motel one was an absolute nightmare. Do not recommend for female solo travellers specially.

Loved it! Brand new hotel, lovely design and excellent breakfast with many options and good coffees. Slept very well, bed felt like 5* quality with several pillows to choose from and shower is very comfortable. Location is amazing and very central, so can recommend for anyone who wants to experience this vibrant area of Rotterdam. Great value for money, will definitely come back!

Excellent stay with several highlights and high value for money. Great quality of room/bed/shower and rooftop bar for drinks and delicious, sustainable breakfast with many options. Hotel just opened in January 2023 and was 1 month open when we visited. Staff very friendly and helpful, also nice to our children. Great location in the centre (we visited Markthal and went for dinner nearby). The room was clean and very comfortable and we had no issues with the airco (I read some review that wrote about this, but we really had no issue, just put in the right settings!)

Just impressive. The views of my bedroom amazing, the views in the roof even better. The service of the reception great and especially of the receptionist in the night shift. My key didn't work and he help me with everything. I paid for the breakfast and it's worth it, because I was googling the cafes around and you would pay the same for a regular breakfast and here it's a buffet with food for all kind of people. And the service really kind!

Been here for 2 weeks now. The room was nice, only thing I missed was a minibar. The room has aircondition that you can set to the temperature and setting that you like. The hotel has amazing breakfast with a barista available to make fresh Coffee. The location is good, alot of shops nearby, market hall is really close. The staff at this hotel is superfriendly and serviceminded, i definately want to come back.

Beautiful and modern hotel in the heart of Rotterdam (super close to the Markthal). I had an excellent breakfast experience in the bar located in the rooftop - wonderful view! Fresh and tasty food with many options (including vegan and bio). Breakfast staff super attentive and friendly! I’ll definitely come back! :-)

An excellent location by a river , a cross the square from St Lawrence church. My room over looked the Markthal. The checking in service was excellent , so friendly and attentive . The room is comfortable and had everything I needed . Highly recommend . The entrance seemed to be round the back

Nice modern hotel with super friendly staff. Good safe location near the market food hall and metro. Breakfast can get full and you may need to sit in awkward spots. Might not be the ideal choice for families with young children. Parking nearby is a challenge but you can temporarily drive into the area infront of the cathedral to drop off luggage. Overall decent value, and can recommend.

This was our last hotel after a 2 week tour of Europe and it was the best hotel. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The room was very clean and well presented. Breakfast room was awesome with a great view of the city. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel/motel. Central location for easy walkability. Rooms are small for two but okay for short overnight stay. No mini bar or even a hot water maker. Easy to get to from Rotterdam central. Right along a canal. Room was clean, air conditioning created a white noise all night. Not as quiet as other hotels. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast choices. I recommend for overnight stay, but I would not stay here longer than this.

Nice location, small but comfortable rooms. 📌 The hotel is located near many restaurants, shops and points of interested. The only bad thing is that people from other floors can see you through your window. You have to always pull the curtains to have some privacy.

Good central location. If you’re driving the Markthal car park is close by as is public transport. Receptionist who checked me in didn’t seem to know her job with a dispute over payment arrangements, which I really didn’t need after a long day travelling. The room even by UK standards was extremely compact with nowhere really to put luggage and a bathroom where to use the loo unless you’re a midget you have to have one leg out of the door. Strangely the corridors are very wide – it’s a shame the designers didn’t make these narrower and rooms larger. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable but the whole experience was not great value for €180. At this price, the lack of any tea/coffee making facility and bottled water in the room seems a bit cheapskate. Rather like the nearby Citizen M it’s style over substance. As a frequent visitor to Rotterdam I’m unlikely to stay here again.

The location of this hotel is perfect. One of the few buildings that survived the Rotterdam blitz, St Lawrence Cathedral, is just next door to the hotel. 2 minutes walk and you are at the most famous Market hosting the so called “Sixtine Chapel” of the Netherlands. Opposite that, are the Cubes and the Metro station.

My stay at Motel One in Rotterdam was marked by both positives and areas for improvement. The hotel's location is excellent, nestled in a perfect spot with numerous parking possibilities nearby. Despite the room being on the smaller side, it was comfortable and efficiently designed, offering a cozy retreat. The standout feature was the staff's exceptional service—friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist. The hotel's modern aesthetic creates a welcoming atmosphere. However, it's worth noting that the lobby downstairs could benefit from some enhancements to match the overall quality of the stay. In terms of value for money and convenience, Motel One in Rotterdam delivers. While the rooms may be compact, the overall experience is elevated by the attentive service, strategic location, and easy access to nearby parking options. If you prioritize efficiency, a central location, and hassle-free parking, this hotel is a solid choice, with the potential for improvements in the lobby area to enhance the overall guest experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Motel One in Rotterdam for a one-night getaway, and overall, I was quite pleased with my experience. First and foremost, the room design was absolutely exceptional. It's evident that a lot of thought went into creating a comfortable and visually pleasing atmosphere. The modern decor and clever use of space made the room feel cozy yet spacious, and the large windows allowed for plenty of natural light to filter in, enhancing the overall ambiance. The hotel design as a whole was equally impressive. The sleek and contemporary aesthetics throughout the hotel added to the overall sense of sophistication and modernity. It's evident that this establishment values aesthetics and design. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a wonderful night's sleep. The quality of the mattress and bedding exceeded my expectations. The basic amenities in the room were convenient and met all my needs. The well-designed bathroom was clean and well-stocked with toiletries. One of the standout features of Hotel Motel One Rotterdam was its fantastic location. Being right next to Grotekerkplein Park, and just a 5-minute walk from Blaak Station made it incredibly easy to access the city's public transportation system and explore all that Rotterdam has to offer. This proximity to the station is a major convenience for travelers. However, I must mention that I did encounter a minor issue during my stay. While the room was generally tidy, I did find two black hairs on the bed. It was a small oversight, and it didn't significantly impact my overall experience, but it's something the hotel should definitely be mindful of in the future.

A great place to stay in Rotterdam. Nearby to metro/tram links, as well as attractions, such as Markthal or the "cube houses". The room itself was smaller than anticipated but nicely furnished. The shower was top notch and plenty of room in the bathroom. There were no amenities in the room and the ac was controlled by the main central heating system, so there was limited control on how hot/cold the room could be made. The hotel bar/lounge area is beautifully furnished with comfy chairs that you can curl up in and read whilst sipping a drink and enjoying the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and able to recommend places to eat/visit (Little V is a must if you like Vietnamese cuisine). Overall a great place to stay.

Affordable. Great Design. Just like advertised. Wonderful 5 night stay. Comfy mattress. Good Wi-Fi. Excellent location. Very clean. Great shower. Good environmental standards. Super friendly staff -- everywhere. They seem to enjoy working at this new hotel. The kind woman who staffs the breakfast area was very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Also, I was so touched when checking out, the staff member who had checked me in five days earlier, inquired as to how my family visit went. Now that's impressive customer service! The space between the foot of the bed and the wall (with TV mounted on it) was pretty tight. Okay for me, but probably not for large people.

Great hotel, great location, kind atmosphere, helpfull staff, clean rooms. Sounds perfect? Allmost... I woke 4 or 5 times the night I stayed on the 2nd floor because I got wakenend by the sound of birds/animals between the walls. I am not a mad person who hears things but that sounds were too loud to ignore and could not be declared by me (I did not use any drugs or alcohol). I sleept in the hotel because of business appointments. I was really tired and broken because of poor sleep. When all was quit I would most definitively give this hotel a 5/5 rating.

Top location, super friendly staff. Rooms are quite small. For one person okay but with two it gets crowded quickly.

As it is typical for Motel One, this one did not surprise either. The rooms have everything you need, and nothing that you don’t need. Location is super central and the rooftop bar is great too.
