Disappointing. Always crowded and so much recommended place for Middle Eastern cuisine, was quite a disappointment. Because of the crowdedness and the acoustics, it is impossible to have a conversation without shouting at each other. The basics, such as hummus and labneh were okay, and it’s definitely good value for the money you spend. When it comes to the main meals that are a little bit more complex, at least in my case, it was very underwhelming. Extremely dry chicken, soggy fries, overpowering sauce, dry rice, everything about the meal was wrong. The food comes out quite fast, though at the expense of the quality of the food. The staff was friendly, though the service level wasn’t that great, probably because of the amount of customers.

What an awful experience we had. Very poor quality of food. No flavor, no taste and overpriced though. The chef/owner should have tried their menu from any other place and get some idea of what they should have been serve. Not sure, have they ever eaten a real Falafel or Lahmacun in their life.

The restaurant is very beautiful and the atmosphere is very nice. The staff is super kind and the food is delicious. The prices are very fair (quite cheap actually for the quantity you get). We were served so much food we couldn't even finish it! Will definitely come back

Always love to come here. The place is beautiful and the food is not expensive. You get a very big plate full of flavors! It wasn't that warm when they served it, but still super tender and tasty. Highly recommend it.

Went here for an early dinner. Was seated promptly but then waited and waited for the server. Once we got menus it took another 10 minutes to get our order in. When we arrived they told us we had the table until 6:30pm. We barely got our food by 6:15 after being there for over an hour. The food once it arrived was fabulous! My wife had the El Couscous meat and I had a kebab with rice. The mint tea was a refreshing addition to this meal.

Let me start by saying, book in advance, we tried to sit in this place 2-3 times before actually making it. The place was always packed, and after finally making it I understood why. In a nutshell, fast service, friendly staff, average prices, delicious food. We went there at around 19hs and we managed to get a table without reservation, there was place inside and outside. The day was a bit warm so outside was ideal, although when we left we had to go inside to pay, and I just say that the atmosphere looked really nice. We regret not sitting inside. Everything that we order arrived fairly fast, and the food was on point. No complains there. They accept card and cash. To pay with card you go inside. Really recommended.

Loved the atmosphere, and wonderful terrace outside. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quantity you get. The pitas were very good. Update: came here for dinner and were not disappointed. The Bizar Bazar (meat) for 2 was excellent, they don't let anyone leave hungry! The chickpea beef stew was especially good.

Bazar is a pretty popular place in Rotterdam, located on one of the busiest streets. You’ll notice that it’s packed almost every evening, so you’d be wondering if it’s worth going there. I’d say it depends on what you want and expect - although it says it’s a restaurant, it’s not. It’s more of a cafe with come-and-go service, with waiters clearly overloaded with work, and therefore they can’t offer you a service you’d expect in a proper restaurant. If you’re looking for a casual place with fair prices and like middle eastern cuisine - you’ll like it here. The food is really not bad. Some dishes are very delicious and good for sharing, as portions are very generous! Just set your expectations right and enjoy 😉

Pros: - The food was tasty. Bear in mind that this is basically a fusion restaurant between Persian, Turkish and Arabic dishes and almost none of the dishes are as authentic as the original recipe. So, if someone wants a new experience, here's the place to try. - Inside looks beautiful and is a change of scenery when it comes to restaurants in the region. Cons: The staff came off as rude and impatient. It was basically a watered down version of Dick's Last Resort. Also, our table was not attended and we had to go to the counter many times to tell them our requests.

Vibrant and colourful restaurant with just the busy vibe you’d expect. The staff was service-minded and our waiter was very helpful and charming. Unfortunately we had to wait very long to eat. We had table booked for 7pm and the food wasn’t served until about 8.45 pm. The portions were generous and looked colourful and fresh, but unfortunately the taste was very bland. A lack of seasoning and not much of a grilled taste for the kebab/skewers. Chicken and tuna rather dry, so was the bread. The hummus tasted mostly of tahin. We were full, but not impressed. Good value for money though, considering large portions. The major issue to us however was actually the poor acoustics. All the otherwise nice chatter between people and noise from kitchen and staff seemed to hit the walls being thrown in all directions, with no absorbtion at all. One could only really talk to the person next to you. A few of us in the group eventually felt physically unwell due to this issue and actually found it quite hard to eat and focus on the food. Presumeably not an ideal place for someone with hearing devices or tinnitus. Acoustic panels or other improvement would be highly recommended. All together Bazar was therefore a disappointment to us after having read all the good reviews.

Nice and cosy restaurant in the middle of the cultural street of Rotterdam. They offer a lot of delicious meat dishes but they also have a breakfast. This review is about breakfast. They offer the Bazar breakfast for 11 euro per person. This includes coffee/tea and fresh orange juice. The breakfast consists of yoghurt with fruit and a pancake and bread with a boiled egg, cheese and several dips. It's breakfast has been one of my favourite breakfast options in Rotterdam for years. Of course there are so many other possibilities, but the fact remains that the location is super and for a moment I feel like I am on holiday :). The hospitality of the staff depends on the visit. Today, the staff just didn't throw the breakfast on the table. Another time they are friendly again.

Pros: Food quality was very nice. Persian dessert was fabulous (ab havij bastani). Crowded place which shows the popularity. Cons: My Coca Zero was replaced with Pepsi Max and after i told them to change it to another drink, they didnt. Staff have room to improve their hospitality. Will i go there again? Absolutely

Loved their food and the restaurant ambiance. Personally would have liked a bit more service. Nobody asked if we enjoyed the food or if we wanted extra drinks. If we hadn't asked ourselves we wouldn't have gotten any. Therefore we didn't tip but kept the initial price. The prices here are great. We spend only €30 for 2 lunches with both 2 drinks. Would definitely recommend.

We had the shared lunch and it was very good. The interior in the restaurant is lovely. Service was a little on the slow side but the place was also reasonably busy so it wasn't bad.

The first place we went to in Rotterdam and it was amazing. We were attracted by the quantity of the review and the place worth all of them. The dishes are big and the service is fast and very friendly. The place itself is very well decorated. If you like or want to try a different cuisine this is definitely your place

Charming middle east decoration and atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is tasty and portions are large. Prices are fair and the experience is great. If you go on the busiest hours, better to make a reservation. 100% recommend!

Best place to visit if passing by Rotterdam. The ambience of the classical eastern and Moroccan styles is well defined and the atmosphere felt cozy. The price is graded in the food which is well served and can fill an empty belly. Drinks from all over the center bar. Well done⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had high expectations when reading the other reviews but I was really disappointed. The restaurant is a kind of fast food but disguised into something a bit more chic. The food is average at most. The place itself is quite big with some oriental decorations and the staff is very nice and welcoming.

I know this restaurant in Amsterdam but never went to their Rotterdam location. I was happy to see the Rotterdam branch has a great terrace. From the menu we choose the chicken share option for 2. Nice to try different dishes together like salad, stew and sauces. It all was very tasty and plenty. The service was friendly and quick. The stew had a hair and they didn’t hesitate to change it and brought quickly a new one. All in all a great experience. Looking forward coming back.

A very busy place for typical Moroccan cuisine. Shrimp kebab served with rice was outstanding. Located close to Rotterdam Central, this is an interesting restaurant to visit.

Bazar is a well known place in Rotterdam for decades. I go there at least once a year and it never disappoints. Great vibe, ambiance and food. 4 out of 5 stars because the staff could be more friendly and downstars (way to toilet) needs an upgrade.
