One of my favorite hotels! I love the castle and the very welcoming staff. If you can get a room with view of the courtyard, it will be perfect. The beds are so comfy, service is excellent. We bumped into the hotel manager on our way in. He not only welcomed us but also warmly gave us his card for anything we needed during our stay. How sweet is that?! The staff are super attentive. I literally had a hotel staff in my room within 30sec of my call inquiry about bedding- this nearly never happens in other Marriott hotels. The staff proactively took our luggage for us into the room and loaded to our car when we were leaving - super attentive to all the details. Made great recommendations for places to visit, places to eat… Arh I can’t say enough how great this hotel is! Happy travels

A fine hotel!Helpful and polite staff, central location, perfect building (if you ever wanted to love in a burg now is your chance) and very nice rooms. The pool is also very nice.If the weather permits it you should drink a cup of coffee in the courtyard while observing and exploring the beautifully decorated fascade (full of nice historical references).Would easily recommend.!

This hotel has a great location in the center of the historic district of Roeun and from the outside is impressive- however I don’t think this should qualify as an “Autograph Collection” Marriott. The inside of the hotel could be described with a single word- “tired”. The lobby looks like a hybrid of something you would see in Tony Montanas house in Scarface with a dated Airport lounge. The colors chosen are a blood red mixed with black and spots of chrome/faded gold throughout completely undermine the historical attractiveness of the property. While the reception desk had friendly staff- the breakfast was disappointing as was room service with almost no options to choose from. We were upgraded to a suite which took 2 elevators and 4 long hallways to get to… this all said it’s still probably the nicest hotel in Roeun.

I had the best sleep on our whole trip at this magnificent hotel in Rouen. High quality bedding & furnishings. We loved the deep bathtub and circular shower, lots of counter space, large bath towels and a robe and slippers for both of us. The view of the courtyard from our bedroom was right out of Beauty and the Beast. The spa area is so serene. Large pool with stair to enter, large starlight steam room, jacuzzi, sauna and workout room. It was pure relaxation! The best part of our stay was the super friendly staff - especially the gentleman that took our luggage abs parked our car. I look forward to visiting again!

Gorgeous historic hotel located right in the center of the best of Rouen. The rooms are dated but public spaces, spa, fitness center, have all clearly seen a renovation. The spa offering is fantastic - massive pool, and great additional facilities such as dry and wet sauna. Our room unfortunately didn't have working A/C or WiFi, but the hotel was able to take care of us accordingly and to our satisfaction. The breakfast is really fantastic - great selection. Huge thank you to Thomas, Maxime, and Aglie for the hospitality and making our short stay so memorable.

Excellent historic hotel (circa 1500's). 5/5 stars. Perfect side trip from Paris. 1 hour 20 mins nonstop via train. Our room was #201. Very spacious with nice Cathedral view. Hotel offers a spa and free indoor pool with sauna. Very popular with guests. Also, an excellent breakfast buffet. Special thanks to the hotel staff. All very warm and professional (Teo Lacoste, Clara, Leopoldine, Timothy, and Valentine). Great Cathedrals, restaurants, and shopping. Joan of Arc Chapel is fantastic.

This was an amazing hotel right in the city center of Rouen. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and some within the hotel. It’s a very stunning castle like hotel with tons of history. Parking was kind of a nightmare though during construction there is no where to park. I had to wave down the concierge to help me after driving around a bit. They have automatic bollards that drop to get into the hotel. The rooms are very large. The only issue we had was they turn off the air conditioning and switch to heat. The night we were there it was in the high fifties and sleeping was very difficult. We were able to request a fan. The concierge who accompanied me to our rooms gave me a tour of the restoration work being done which was very cool.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are very courteous and helpful. Being a Bonvoy member, I have stayed in many Autograph hotels across the world and I found the rooms, aesthetics and upkeep of this hotel to be subpar to others. The room was outdated and needed a lot of updates. Chipped paint, discolored grout, clogged sink, stuffy smell to mention a few. After a shower the bathroom and whole room got so humid and wet it was unbearable. Again the front desk staff and everyone we interacted with was extremely polite and nice. However, I would probably choose a different hotel for my next stay in Rouen.

This luxury hotel is a 15th century monument located in the historic center of Rouen. Everything about this hotel is wonderful, especially the contrast of historical facades and modern interior. Location and view: 5/5 Service: 5/5 very helpful and polite Breakfast: 5/5 Room: 5/5 Amenities: 4/5 because when making reservation, the guests should be warned that in order to be able to attend spa services, the guests should make a reservation a week ahead, otherwise it’s fully booked. Very nice swimming pool and sauna

As an avid traveler, I have had the pleasure of staying in numerous hotels around the world. However, my recent experience at Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde in Rouen has left an indelible mark on my memory. This exquisite hotel, nestled in the heart of the old town, offers a perfect blend of luxury, history, and impeccable service. Located within walking distance of the city's most iconic landmarks, Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde provides an unrivaled experience for those seeking to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Rouen. The picturesque streets and charming squares that surround the hotel are a testament to the city's medieval architecture, painting an enchanting setting right at your doorstep. In conclusion, Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde surpassed my expectations in every aspect, making it an unforgettable stay. Its perfect location within the old town, the combination of historic charm and contemporary luxury, and the exceptional service delivered by the attentive staff create an experience that I wholeheartedly recommend. Whether you are visiting Rouen for leisure, business, or simply to indulge your wanderlust, Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde guarantees an extraordinary stay in this mesmerizing city.

In 30 m from the moment we arrived in Rouen, they solved our parking problem, brought surprises for the children, took care of us in a good room and brought all the luggage. Wonderful service, perfect location, recommended hotel.

Its a beautiful hotel, inside and out and the valet parking was easy and efficient. The rooms are well decorated and a bit tired, but normal due to waer and tear. Our only problem was noise. The rooms on the courtyard side are meant to be the quiest. (Reception told me this when I asked to change rooms). However the courtyard acts as an amplifier and if people are out there it sounds like they are in your room. Also because of the beauty of the courtyard people and kids come and go constantly to look at the architecture, hence more noise. I would suggest bringing earplugs, like we did.

We are frequent travelers and stayed here as part of a three week trip. This hotel offered us a great location right in the heart of the old town with a historic location and excellent service. We checked into the Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde and they parked our car for us. It was quite early so as we expected our room was not ready. They provided an excellent recommendation for lunch and we were within walking distance of all of the city's most iconic landmarks. We returned to the hotel to find that our luggage was already in our room - a room that was quite large especially by European standards. After a relaxing evening we enjoyed a fine buffet breakfast and we were ready to continue our travels. The Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde exceeded expectations - a great visit.

Great location and friendly staff. Live music at the bar was too loud and not quite good. Nice cocktails. The outdoor terrace was very cozy. Was disappointed about the coffee in the room as for a 5 star hotel instant coffee bags shouldn’t be acceptable. Pool area was big and well maintained. Again, for a 5 star hotel more quality checks should be made like the WC door and the bed creaked.

Excellent historic hotel (circa 1500's). Great location to Cathedrals + restaurants. Lots of WW2 history in Rouen, France. Nice spa and very popular indoor pool too. Special shout outs to Leopoldoine, Clara, Teo Lacoste, Timothy, Valentine, and Thomas. Excellent staff. 5/5 stars. Absolutely great side trip from Paris. Easy train 90 mins.

Amazing Place, the staff very welcoming and caring but the Spa was not very quiet because they allow kids and they were very loud, running around and splashing!

Wonderful staff and great location. Room just ok. The shower arrangement is poor. Ridiculous that the room was so hot. The hotels in Paris are not following this nonsensical energy reduction usage guidance, I can tell you that from being there a few days before. 28 euro’s pp for a simple breakfast buffet is unreasonable. The modern inside decor seems strange considering the ancient city it’s in. Website directions need to include the odd parking /valet location arrangement. Did I say the staff was great? Stay elsewhere in a B&B and save you money.

A beautiful old building right in the heart of Rouen center. Valet parking makes life much easier and the comfort level of the hotel room is very high. A very good breakfast (buffet style). All in all highly recommended.

The most fabulous Marriott hotel de Bourgtheroulde in Rouen looks great and feels great. The service level is everything you need. The rooms are simple stylish and very comfortable. Always first choice when in Normandy.

Beautiful hotel, in fabulous gothic mansion. Rooms and view are fantastic, and location can’t be beat. Very good breakfast buffet (worth the 28€), and friendly staff. Great pool, but gym is tiny with a couple treadmills and no weights.
