Beautiful park. It's got a walking / jogging path around the perimeter. The entire loop, including the section where the garden club is housed is one mile. New bathrooms, picnic facilities and playground make it a great place for picnics and play dates. Plenty of space for games or getting away from folks. Pond full of ducks and geese. Rose garden is often used for weddings and photo shoots. A gem of a park

Haf an amazing time discovering this park. There is so much to do here. We ate across the street on some grass. Before we walked and saw the ducks and geese. They have a rose garden that is even fun this time of year. Plus my kiddos found painted rocks

Beautiful park with a very nice pond and gorgeous rose garden. Just very sad that there was so much garage in the grass. We picked up a huge shard of glass from a broken bottle

Great playground for 2 to 5 year olds. Adjacent to pond with birds and near rose garden. No dogs allowed, but benches outside fenced playground.

Had a really nice morning walk during our stay in Sac. Quiet and relaxing. I wish I had gotten to see the roses bloom, but these peonies were just as beautiful. 😊

This place is Awesome! For several reasons but il name a few..... 1. Great for walks ! Lots of trees 🌳 with shade 2. Duck pond and other birds 3. Basket ball court 4. The ROSE GARDEN 😍 5. Library & Pool 6. Tennis Courts 7. Kids Playground Really spacious and a lot to do. Forsure family friendly and dog friendly, there are signs to keep dogs on leash. Overall a great park to enjoy πŸ˜‰ If you haven't, you should!

I have been living in the East Sacramento neighborhood for about 6 months and this park has been a great workout place for me. I ran from my place to here and make few circles around the park. And in the morning and the evening it was beautiful. The restrooms were maintained well by the city and there is a pool as well. If you are the owner of the houses around the park, you are blessed. I hope the city maintain this place well in the future as well. Good job and keep the good job please!

Large beautiful park. The playground is large and lots of fun for both children and adults. There is a section for five and under for little ones and a larger space for older kids. There is a small pond with lots of ducks and geese which is extremely entertaining for children. There's a public pool, a rose garden, a walking or jogging trail that goes around the entire park and a basketball court. On the property is also a public library that offers programs to the community. This park is very well kept and maintained I highly recommend a visit with your little ones or family, a nice place to picnic.

The rose garden here is beautiful! And I heard it was all volunteer created? Don't quote me on that. But it was really nice to spend 15 minutes here to start the day

Such a fun playground with two for different age groups. Climbing areas and balancing areas are so fun. It's a nice green space around the playground too.

Honestly my favorite park as an adult person that takes their nephew. Good amount of room for chasing. As a plus size person I can fit in everything there. Love that. The Mary go around is amazing. 10/10 park. Just wish it wasn't so popular. Lol

What can I say about McKinley park except that it’s one of the most amazing addition to where I live when I come to California Sacramento. It’s amazing to walk around, very good to run through. Taking dogs for a walk. Also to practice tennis. Most of my steps if not in the gym is walking around McKinley Park. There is a lot of activity that happen in Mckinley park that is much appreciated during the weekends and the holidays. The area around the park is rising in prices so I really appreciate the fact that I live a cross the street. The park has: Tennis area Library Rose garden All different and all really good outlets.

Always a great place to take the family. The playground is awesome. If you want to get in shape, there is always someone walking or running here. Even at 2am. Another great piece of info, if you walk around the whole park (following the trail), it is exactly 1 mile around. Just remember to watch out for duck or goose poop.

A library with a very helpful librarian, a swimming pool, a very nice playground, squirrels, pigeons, geese, and ducks on a lake, a horseshoe pit, beautiful roses, ample space.

Good but too crowded to go. The sandbox is mini-mini, the carusel is for big kids only since small ones could be easily hurt with all kicking and swirling around. Nice park although. Ducks, a lot of green grass, nice picnic zone.

McKinley Park is my favorite park in the area. It is safe and there are often lots of people at the park. The rose garden is absolutely beautiful and there are lots of benches to sit down and enjoy a snack or read a book. The pond does have a lot of geese, but they usually get out of your way if you get too close. They can be aggressive.

So great! Expansive play structure enclosed by picket fence for a touch of added peace of mind. Located in beautiful McKinley Park, right outside of the library. Complete with swings, spin around, monkey bars and plenty of places to sit for a spell. Play yard is suggested for toddlers 2-5 years.
