It is one of the oldest and most famous places for Chinese food. They also have birds outside, which is a good attraction for children. I've seen many Chinese enjoying food. Good for families.

One of the oldest names in k-town pertaining to authentic Chinese food. The mellow vibes coupled with tasty food is a treat for sure. Squirrel fish, fried chicken spring rolls and chowmein have been my favourite for a long time.

Among old continental Chinese resturant in town located in posh area of China Town, Kharkar Chorangi, Clifton, Karachi. Big hall and beautifully designed interior for an instant gives feel we are in China while parking is manageable. We have ordered watton soup, fried rice, Mongolian Cutrry, Club sandwich and Fried fish. Overall taste was good but in terms of price it's on higher end..

Excellent Family restaurant! Been there million times since I was child, still the restaurant carry the very same ambiance, quality of food and its taste. Its commendable! Kudos. I still remember the same person opening up the main door and warmly welcoming customers, felt Retro. Friendly staff. Ordered piping hot Thai soup with shrimp crackers as startup, loved the taste. Main course include Chicken Manchurian, Drum Sticks, Squirrel Fish, egg fried rice. No comparison, all the cuisines were flavoursome. Although its Hakka Chinese or comfort food I still love their food making traditions and taste of food they’re holding since few decades. This is a reason for a extra star. Definitely YES anytime, High recommendations.

China Town is old but gold when it comes to desi chinese cuisine. Spot on, always. Ample portion sizes. Taste is always great. The staff is attentive and courteous. They could work on the over all ambiance of the place though. There was a strong stench of bleach and the shrieking of the parrots was very off putting. Animals like birds shouldn't be in cages anyway. Let them live.

Quality of food is good but now its too much expensive. During pandemic they dont offer proper sitting area where you can enjoy food with family members. Paying high cost without proper sitting area and good ambiance is not worth it

Food quality was surprisingly good. Quantity was huge as well. And prices were very reasonable. With the advent of new restaurants, it's a shame that people don't patronize this place like they used to. Would recommend and definitely go again.

Good food, but the ambiance of the restaurant needs to be redone. It's quite an old place, which gives a very shady look. However, their chef's not bad.

I came here for the authenticity it is known for. And I was satisfied to a point but in my opinion, chicken sauce was too gingery, prawn balls were all raw flour, and the fish with sauce was too smelly and sauce was too sweet. Otherwise the service, atmosphere and value for the money was on point.

Outstanding experience!! We went after years and was fearing that the standard may be compromised. But China Town out done our expectations. Loved everything we ate, from CT special soup to chicken prawn fried rice, fried prawn balls, chicken chilly dry, chicken in garlic sauce, chicken prawn chow mein. Service need to be bit better.

China Town is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Karachi that was always known for a better Chinese taste. Most Chinese restaurants in Pakistan have a Pakistani taste Chinese food. Perhaps Golden Dragon in Islamabad and to an extent, China Town in Karachi and Kim Mun in Islamabad are amongst those few Chinese restaurants that still have a "Chinese" flavour to their dishes. China Town has a huge sitting capacity. Ground floor is ok but basement has bit of a suffocating environment, specially when more people are eating. Quantity of serving is quite good. Overall, we enjoyed our food in China Town and will go there again.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. This time we went after a long time and it was not the same. We got the lunch deal that came with a soup and small servings of variety of dishes. The hot and sour and the chicken corn soup were so unsatisfactory that I dont have words. We have probably had better from thelas or carts. Then the lunch plates came. The beef looked like leftover scrap meat used and the fish was old, soggy, smelly. The chicken was okay. This experience was unlike my previous ones. Very disappointing. Although I must add the service was good. The staff are nice and welltrained.

I actually take a soup for a customer in a reasonable price. At a glance I observed that it has excellent decorations and put view just like Chinese environment. Mostly red color was very impressive and same is used in good texture. The seating arrangement for family and party was adorable. Quick response staff is also mentionable. I like it

Been there today after such a long time. It was my hundredth visit there but I have never been this disappointed with them before. The food quality was not what it used to be. Their quality of food has reduced drastically. Also, they had put too much salt in the gravy it was very difficult for us to eat it. I remember going there, with all the people waiting to get their table but today there were hardly any people. Their basement was all closed (never seen that closed before). Never expected this from China Town. It was my favourite!

Visited yesterday (Dec 6, 2023) ordered soup and 6 different dishes as we were 7 people, not a single dish was good. All of them were from pathetic to in best case average. The prices are higher than some of the other good well known chinese restaurants. It’s not worth going there. Not sure why so many people recommended it to us.

The food here is the original and most ancient Chinese available. Its tastes fabulous. You can literally order anything on the menu and rely on their taste. Their service is a little slow but they have this really efficient manager. You can rely on him too. Valuable asset for the business. We ordered their American chopsouy, chicken almond, fried rice, corn and Thai soup, crackers, beef chili and one other gravy. Everything was delicious with generous servings. The restaurant could be cleaner but real foodies come there to stuff themselves so it's alright.

We have been dining there since its started loong time back. We found the taste, variety and freshness today, same as the first day. Now they have reduced their rates to certain level so anybody can have it. Best it is open from 11 am to 12 am

This was a good place once which is why I came here. The service was unprofessional, the waiter did not know how to serve. The American chopsuey made me feel like vomiting as the noodles were stale and the sauce was full of ketchup sauce. Pepper chicken was as if an amateur has made it. Only thing good was the fried rice. Very very disappointing experience.

One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Karachi maybe the oldest. The quality of food and service provided is still top notch. The ambiance is nostalgic for anyone who has lived his teen and young adult life as a chinese cuisine lover in Karachi.

Went to Chinatown after a longtime with 15 other people and found a bug looked like a cockroach in one of items I ordered....portion of the food got less with high price.......i asked for a manager manager Rashid .....he treated the issue in the most bizarre way .....he did not want to bring this issue to his boss.......he had no communication skills at all.....no SOPs he knew ...he had no clue how to deal a customer in that situation.....of course not going again there

Like not much changed in Karachi for CHINA TOWN it's same . Quality food .. Sitting make you feel n smell of China Town .. Soups , Fish , Manchurian, chicken lollipop jumbo prawns , fish crackers .. worth to taste. During pandemic they also suffered but delivery came with same flavor and hot. Now little expensive but still worth to try. Staff is OK. Car parking 🅿️ issue solved. Recommended !!

Visited 1st time here… it was a dinner plan… best for Chinese food lover… their fried prawns were delicious, bar BQ fish was also a good choice though their presentation was scary for me. Other items tht i tried were vegetable chawmein, fried rice with some chicken curry, dumplings. Unfortunately I didn’t have the pictures

China Town Restaurant is one of the old and the best Chinese Restaurant in Clifton Block - 2 , near Bilawal House , Karachi. They are offering authentic Chinese dishes and serving in the same way as they do in China. It is a must try place.

Food was ok, but not very tasty. Ambiance was not good. There were many mosquitoes flying over our seats. My wedding mensiversary was totally spoiled. Also, their seating arrangement made us part of the chattering of family sitting beside us

  • 3/5 ZYSS -. 2 years ago on Google
Food was barely ok. Service had much to be desired. Price point was very reasonable. But unfortunately it seems they thought that as reason enough to give bad service and mediocre food. Hope they can do enter in the future.

I recently had a really bad experience with the hotel food too. 😔 Everything I ordered was just not up to par, and it was such a letdown. 🙁 I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, to be honest. 🚫🍽️ The quality was just not there, and it really affected my overall experience. 👎 So, if you're looking for a place to eat, I'd suggest giving this one a pass. 🙅‍♀️ Better to find somewhere else where you can enjoy a delicious meal. 🍕🍔🌮 Hope this helps, and I hope your future dining experiences are much better! 🤞✨
