South City Hospital is the best hospital in Karachi very caring doctors & nurses. Very clean & very nice atmosphere. One of the most renowned hospital. Cost is very high but service is good 👍 South City's ER is now 20+ Bed facility with experienced and qualified nurses and doctors. Unaffordable for normal people. No discount for those who can't afford or come here in emergency. Recommend this hospital to rich people.

Dr Mumtaz Meher hav not performed my sis surgery, instead Dr Samiullah performed according to our information. They do worsening the case intentionally to make more 💰 money.. PLEASE I BEG U DONT GO TO THIS SLAUGHTER HOUSE PLEASE 😔 My sis case got fully damaged, she got hospitalised three times. She spent almost 1 month 20 + days in hospital in severe pain. All they keep us asking money money money every week . My sister is still doing her treatment from other hospitals ...all I can say they have messed up her case ,took so much money ...n give ur patient unhealthy to u... My sis got a new life as she was dieing because of wrong treatment by wrong dr..... May ALLAH guide them Not everyone is millioner or billionaire...If you take so much money then please atlest do the treatment properly.... Do the treatment with honesty n loyalty....why junior doctors do surgeries when a patient pay for senior consultant.... Stop playing with innocent people's life... My family will never forgive them because they have destroyed my sis life....

It’s like a hotel hospital. It’s worth taking private ward for peace of mind. I just hope the admin and doctors remain true and just in treating patients. Lives are in their hands and accountability cannot be overlooked by any undertaking. Allah will hold accountable for any wrong done to people when needed help the most.

One of the most renowned hospitals in Karachi. Famous by its name, used to have doctors with alacrity but their standard has dropped a bit since a lot of people still keep complaining about how they weren't examined properly. Consultancy fees is pretty much but varies with each department. There are about 5 parking areas but they are not built together hence there's a parking issue too. Overall it's a fine place to get your loved ones checked from..

The staff cannot managed the scheduled, only patient suffer with the times and the staff just watching mobile and talking with each other all doctors have emergency surgeries all the time.. every time when you come for follow up visit new doctor will see you ..at the time of appointment particular dr is available but when you arrived at hospital dr is busy in emergency surgeries so you should wait for doctor if you are lucky and staff will tired with their talking then they will give you options...

AVOID DR. SALIHA ISHAQ - Rheumatologist I shouldn’t even call her a doctor. My mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis for 40 years. My mother started having extreme shoulder pain and went to Dr. SALIHA for consultation and to learn how to manage her arthritis. She was negligent and indulging in malpractice! Below are the reasons I am making these accusations: 1. Her clinic form doesn’t even have the question to add any other medical conditions (only has a question on diabetes). My mother has ulcerative colitis and she didn’t even bother asking. A patient in excruciating pain won’t remember telling the doctor of all the medical conditions. It is on them to ask the patient and it SHOULD be on the form. 2. She gave my mum an injection on her shoulder. When my mum inquired, she kept saying that it’s a pain killer. When my mum insisted to tell the name, she again said pain killer 3. The injection was for Rs 4000 and her assistant told my mum it’s not a pain killer so that’s why it’s expensive I was furious upon hearing this and asked my mum to go again to find out the name of the pain killer. The assistant refused to tell her the name of the medicine that was injected. The doctor did the same and blamed my mum for not mentioning that she has Ulcerative Colitis. The name of the injection is not on her file as well. While my mum was waiting, the doctor asked the assistant to prepare injections for three other patients. We stopped one of the patient of their way out to ask if they knew what was injected to them and he said “painkiller”. So no one really knows if she is injecting steroid or what? This is bizarre. She is arrogant and has no interest in her patient. All her raving reviews might be because no one knows what’s in this injection that works like a charm. Wish I could sue her!

Awesome awesome clinic in Karachi, very neat and clear, people and staff were courteous. Smelled great, felt like I was visiting some building in US. If you think Agha khan is great wait till you visit this. Went to see Dr. Noshad the urologist, great as the clinic itself. Small little play area for kids while you can enjoy coffee or tea.

I wouldn’t have even given Dr waqar a one star on review. This doctor is criminal! My uncle was his patient for many years. He is been visiting him for his kidney condition. My uncle’s kidney was leaking protein. Dr waqar Kashif put him on cortisone medicine ( that is actually not suitable, if the patient has a high blood pressure). Dr waqar Kashif kept prescribing him cortisone for four years. My uncle’s kidney’s never healed with this medicine, his situation become more worst. My uncle went back again to this Doctor, but this time he gave him more high dose of cortisone medicine. Because of that his body started swelling, his immune system started attacking his own body. He became unable to walk or use the washroom. We found him faint and his tongue was out with puss. My uncle is in ICU now! And the specialist said “Dr waqar Kashif did all my uncles treatment wrong right from the beginning”. I live in US. I verified from the kidney specialist about this treatment; he also acknowledged and said: “the treatment was given wrong, we never put on cortisone to any kidney patient, who has a high blood pressure problem”. Please pray all for my uncles life. Doctors are saying he cannot survive😞 Dr waqar Kashif should be punished for playing with innocent lives. PLEASE AVOID THIS DOCTOR!!!

We went to Dr. Amna Tariq at the outpatient psychology clinic. The experience was terrible, she didn't know what she was doing and kept forgetting the problem each day. Moreover was reluctant to spend time with my kid. On day one we clearly explained the issue and asked for counseling help and she claimed that she will spend time with kid and even promised to spend 5 or 6 sessions for the package money if needed to help us. On day one she only asked his name and boom session one over. On second day she asked 10 general questions and there goes session 2. She spend around 30 mins on session 3 but the funny part is she forgot the name of kid and what the issue was and we were back on stage 1 again. On day four, this is what she said "Now that I have diagnosed the issue of ADD for your kid you can start therapy sessions (asked for more money)". On day 2 it was clearly explained to her that the kid doesn't have any issue like ADD, we just need counseling for some minor problems. She wasted my 4 days and 25k for nothing, no promises were fulfilled. I believe she herself needs a bit of counseling LOL. The reason I chose south city was due to amazing doctors like Javed Husain (Chest Clinir) & Agha Sajjad (Pain Management). South city really need to keep a check over scammers like Amna Tariq. I don't care about the money but the time of mine she wasted. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PSYCOLOGIST TO EVEN SOMEONE I HATE.

They are responsible for the death of my nephew . They have no morals, ethics and will prefer making more money by worsening the case intentionally. “TO BE PARENTS DONT GO TO THIS SLAUGHTER HOUSE” They first told us wrong gender of baby and said everything thing is fine but on 7 month said baby should be in incubator and had surgery. After few days my baby boy passed away. “TO ALL TO BE PARENTS DONT GO ON INTERIOR OF THIS HOSPITAL THEIR SERVICE AND FACILITIES ARE JUST LIKE ANY PUBLIC HOSPITAL AND CHARGES LIKE 5STAR HOTEL”

Had my son admitted for observation, the doctor never came and saw him in the ward, would not discharge him, had no justification for 15 drips, reports were all normal and had to put up a fight to get my son out. When questioning the Dr on duty, she showed me charts with all normal labs and bloodwork, then tried to justify asymptomatic treatment for 15 drips even though my son could have normal intake. I asked her what her common sense tells her since she is educated. When intake is normal then what is the need for 15 drips. This is what I see as educated ignorance. An institution training their staff on defrauding the public. Gave them an ultimatum of 15 minutes to release my son, would not give me a dc summary even though they owed me money, like they wanted to milk the whole deposit I had given them. The reason for one star is the that some staff understood why I was upset when they couldn’t justify the treatment, hence their acknowledgment and silence. When a mindset like this is in place, defrauding from top to bottom, overcharging for unnecessary treatment, working of of self diagnosis, not being able to justify action, showing lack of humanity, compassion and common sense to do the right thing, then it’s understood why there is no growth and progression towards goodwill and right action.

A family member with recurrence of cancer was visiting karachi from Canada and needed to get a routine image to see the growth of malignant nodules. We specifically asked the imaging specialists at south city to ensure the ct scan report identified and commented on the nodules. The report then came with a clean bill of health and no mention of the nodules WE KNOW are there. This is alarming bcs someone with a confirmed case of cancer is being told they’re good to go with no tumours of any kind. I always believed that we had talent in pakistan that could be relied upon but this experience tells me that you cannot trust even the most reputable hospitals to do the most basic job of imaging and reporting. It is truly a failure….God help our people

I am sorry to say but there is no match of cost vs available services. Just as example in most of patients admitted in ICU have some kidney injury and they dont have machines to do dialysis in acutely ill patients who are on blood pressure support medications. I dont know how they are running their ICU without CRRT or CVVHD services , there is no ICU in all over the world without this service specially when you are paying approximately 02 lac per day. Its very unfortunate as you are leaving the patients to die at the end in a simple words. More then that apparently looks highly educated overseas trained doctors are not willing to arrange any family meetings to counsel the families. using medical terminology to explain the patient condition. If family is going to ask some questions in depth , they are replying these are medical terminologies and leave this to us . even mentioning juniors doctors ( from patient relatives ) dont ask this question as its not your domain. You can never even think of talking with same attitude and behavior in Wisconsin. I will mention the names of those so called International trained doctors who are building their bank accounts on the behalf of US degress. How rude you was Dr Waqar kashif ( nephrologist ) with the families of patients. How can you shout on the relatives of dying patient ? I wish at least you should be polite, humble and follow the least medical professional attitude. I wish and pray that neither you are any member of your family will have the same attitude in entire life. I will keep adding here as soon as I am getting more informations.

I usually don’t post reviews but was compelled to write this one, I am very disappointed with the service at South City hospital, I don’t blame the administration but a few thieves are sitting as secretaries and trying to scam people in the name of doctors. I’m a doctor and have worked at SCH so know that doctors consultation rates are fixed, I referred my family to Dr. Sobia Haque’s clinic, in the first consultation they were charged 7000 by the receptionist, when said the fee is 5000 rs she left the table rudely and said that is the fee and you have to pay it and threw the money back at my parents, they paid and came back home and discussed this with me, I asked them to call again for follow up and confirm the charges which they did, on call the lady said the consultation fee is 5000 to which my father said that we were charged 7000, she disconnected the phone, my father called back on the number and there was no answer, he then received a call from that lady and she started apologising for taking extra money and asked not to disclose this information to Dr. Sobia and ranting about how she could lose the job, when asked how much we have to pay for follow up, she said 5000, when during the consultation my family asked Dr. Sobia about her fee, she said it’s 5000 for first time and 4000 for follow up, when went for payment, the lady said that Dr. Sobia is trying to defame her by quoting the wrong amount and she was adamant that the follow up fee is 5000 and also misbehaved. I want to highlight this issue to the administration, please scrutinise these people who are trying to scam people on the name of the doctors, this is highly unprofessional! Dr. Sobia, please be aware of these scammers who are trying to defame you, I know how hard working you are as I have worked with you and I don’t want these people ruining your image. Thanks

It looks A 5 star hospital only for VIP’s but I didn’t feel like that. I experience good take care of my mother while she was admitted in hospital for three days. Administration need to be more linkup with doctor as we experience some difficulty for getting approval from their admin office though our insurance company whereas nursing staff and mera medics are very helpful through your experience. Doctors are good and experienced. Facility is excellent. I couldn’t find over prices except food I took from garden cafe. It’s a bit expensive. I didn’t find tuck shop with the facility to provide stuff for relative waiting and standing outsides.

The paediatric outpatients is a jumma bazar. There needs to be a system of appointments only. Anyone who does not have an appointment goes through ER. Its so crowded, coughing kids everywhere, people thronging the corridor, even literally sticking themselves to the consultant’s door ! With receptionist going crazy. This is not the way. For a “fancy” hospital like south city there needs to be a much better system in place !

I had experienced to get my gallbladder surgery in this hospital, can you believe it the general surgeon mumtaz maher whom I especially went there he was not present in the surgery even he didn't come to the hospital that day instead one of his junior doctor operated me on behalf of him without my permission without informing me but hospital bill has his presence and fee very well the funniest thing that I didn't even see him not even recognised his face not in the clinic nor operation theatre and after surgery I am suffering many problems even I have complained in the hospital but south city hospital also culprit because they didn't take any action against him my complaint is still pending from a long time it was a horrible experience and I don't suggest anyone to go there because eventually when I went to see Dr mumtaz maher he admitted in that he didn't operated me but still didn't ready to compensate even he threatened that "how can you prove that I was not present in the surgery" he is not a doctor but he is a dacoit.

Worst service in rooms. They charge 10 times more then other hospitals with one of the worst service I have seen. I have asked 5 attendants for almost 6 hours for one glass water in the room. Didn't get it. Asked for blanket and pillow waited 3 hours didn't get it . After that I went to reception made written complain and then got a bottle of water. And I paid almost 5 lacs for one procedure and after this kind of service is un acceptable .Never again.

I have been consulting with Professor Nadeem Rizvi for many years now. His professionalism and mannerism are great. His exceptional capabilities were evident during the time of Covid which was a very difficult time for the entire nation. His skills of treatment are on dot and his diagnosis are perfect. I would highly recommend him for any treatment for pulmonary issues. South City has been maintaining its standards and I hope that they continue to do so and provide great medical services.

Doctors are good specially Dr. Rashid (Pulmonologist) very professional and experienced, ICU and HDU staff are good and professional but our experience with Delux room rental and stay (It sounds funny) is okay. Only few of the staff in the ward seems like love their profession but others are like surviving their needs including the doctors on duty. Cleanness rate 5 out of 10 Staff response rate 4, they ignore the bell and it is assumed that you should be monitoring your patient yourself. In ward doctors rate 2, if you are lucky you may see them smiling and polite and helpful. Discharge experience is the worst similar to other hospitals in town like Dow, Tabba etc. Our stay in this hospital was 13 days.

Been sneaking the views before my surgery but I am here to share my experience with south city . I had a knee surgery and it was quite hard to make this choice of operating during this pandemic but my situation required it . Firstly before admission I had to give my along with my attendant covid test and chest screening which is one of the most important factor according to me . Let’s jump to service SOME nurses are RUDE no doubt especially the head nurses I would say they come in as formality but in my experience 2% of them were rude therefore nurses assigned for evening and night are friendly cooperative so saying this all the nurses are rude will be unfair and happy news the head nurse comes only once in the morning to see progress so mostly you are surrounded by helpful staff . On duty doctors are all kind and whenever they entered my room they brought some sort of positive energy the way they listened my issues was impressive. The nicu staff is also kind and cooperative giving encouragement and smiles before surgery .i encountered three different phisyotheraphist and all were gentle and cooperative! My doctor was AMAZING after all he gave me all the positive energy before surgery came to my room twice to checkup !! Overall the experience was good 🤍

The guard outside the emergency is a little insensitive and could possibly be a little politer to those who have gone with their loved ones either with mild or severe injuries. Yes, he is doing his job and only one person is allowed but they should give one or two more people at least ten minutes in the room. It's an okay hospital but they really need to train their staff to be polite. He can follow the rules but have a little courtesy towards females at least. Kindly tell him to talk nicely. Yes, he needs to keep a check but he doesn't have to get over excited and rude about it!!

Just had our delivery at south city. Dr Nasifa and team in labor department was amazing. Nursing staff was great. We had booked private room and it was clean and amazing. Separate nurse staff for mother and baby, who were extremely attentive. Medically they deserve a 5/5 but unfortunately the sh**y room service cost them a star. Breakfast for patient was served cold who likes cold omelette. Only cereal choice was corn flakes flavor less. They list fresh squeeze juice but only have nestle. I would recommend having their French toast for breakfast and club sandwich w/ fries for all other meals. The rest besides their jello is terrible. Yes I’m being picky but when you book with south city you expect top notch service. Aga Khan has amazing food terrible medical service. If south city can improve food quality and the annoying disrespectful ROOM SERVICE staff they may get their 5th star. Low key wanted to rate 3 but the rest of staff don’t deserve the lower rating because of annoying waiters. Only other down side is maybe having additional visiting hours in evening maybe extended till 8pm. Besides that checkin was a breeze. Dr Saghir the pediatrician consultant was great both dr sana were great 90% nurses were amazing. Medical performance unmatched in karachi. Maybe reduce epidural fee 😅. Highly recommend this place. Check out tomorrow.

Been there for the second time within 2 months. First time for taking blood samples of my wife, today for taking my blood samples and an x-ray of my elbow. Didn't expect western standards, but was surprised by professionalism of staff and their friendly help. Recommendable if you're a foreigner and in need of help.

Clean environments but be watchful of payment they want. Receptionists are trained to pretend for quoting lower rates & then giving higher bills in the end

South city hospital lab wifi is not working since last 2 days and one cannot access online report of the tests performed. Also they are soooo poor that they cannot afford a 100 Rupee mobile card to whatsapp lab results. Extremely disappointed.

This is not a hospital you should be taking covid patients to. Untrained, incompetent staff, absent doctors, poor ventilation in the facility, no covid protocols being enforced. Some examples: The hospital staff nursing you had their masks half on; a nurse jabbed a canula into my mum the minute we entered for no reason (she ended up not needing it); we had to wait an hour for a doctor to show up and examine X-ray and blood test results that were immediately available (the staff lied and told us we had to wait 2 hours before results were available); they were allowing people accompanying patients in without masks; the whole "ward" was a tiny room with poor ventilation and 4 sick beds; and they charged us $20k+ for a few hours of monitoring, two lab tests, and a hasty doctors visit. A sick man, obviously a severe covid patient in need of a ventilator, was wheeled in with six half-masked staff seeing to him while he remained unmasked (yes, these people don't even think about the fact that different variants could be circulating around and that having existing patients exposed could lead to coinfection with different strains. Any well educated layman knows this, but this hospital doesn't seem to care). The attitude of the doctors and staff was apathetic and ignorant, and none of them seemed concerned about undertaking steps to protect themselves or family members bringing patients in. This is NOT how any hospital should be isolating or treating covid patients - grocery stores in the United States have better Covid protocols than this so-called elite private hospital. If the law worked as it should in Pakistan this hospital would be shut down for malpractice.

Dr. Zara Shah Skin Specialist brutally burned my face (photo attached). I found her a pathetic incompetent dr using substandard laser and microneedling equipment and destroying skin just to make money. This is sad that such fraudulent doctors in connivance with hospital doctors somehow manage to escape the clutches of legal action.

Never visit this hospital for dental treatment as they charge you quite extra charges without informing earlier and above that doctors are different when you enter the room whose name can not be seen in doctors directory. They are butcher

This review is for the killer Dr. Waqar Kashif. He deserves a zero-star rating. I wish there was such rating. My brother was his patient for over 6 years for his kidney issues. He also had high blood pressure. Dr. Kashif put him on Cortisone. On almost every visit, the doctor kept increasing the Cortisone dosage. My brother never healed. His situation kept worsening and his legs and body started swelling. He also developed autoimmune disease. The doctor continued to keep him on ever increasing Cortisone dosage. About seven weeks ago, he lost consciousness and passed away. He was only 58. To our surprise, we just found out that Cortisone is not suitable for patients with high blood pressure I am putting out this review so one should think hard before handing over the care of their loved ones into his hands. DUMP THIS DOCTOR if you or others in your family are in his care. Doctors like him are giving a bad reputation to South City Hospital. This doctor should not be allowed to practice medicine. The hospital also has many other issues such as lack of humanly treatment of patients, poorly trained staff, etc. Hope the hospital owner is working on the issues identified. Aneela Ahmed

I am from Islamabad and i made a call today for the first time because i had heard a lot about Doctor Sadia Virk at South City Hospital. However, I was deeply disappointed as her assistant Shabana seemed quite ignorant. They lack basic manners, making it difficult for patients like me, who just want to speak to the doctor, especially since I am coming to Karachi. Neither do they answer the calls properly nor listen attentively. It's disheartening to see such behavior in a hospital that charges so much, yet the staff lacks even 1% courtesy.

I went to the hospital in high fever straight to the emergency. They got all tests done in no time. Started treating my fever right away. Got diagnosed with pneumonia. Got admitted. Stayed there gor 4 days. Had an out class experience. I was actually impressed by the staff; their competence and professionalism. Cleanliness was spot on! I don't think so there is any other option better than South City in Karachi
