This gym used to be great, but since switching from LA fitness to Esporta it has gone down hill. To start off, they had two squat racks but got rid of one so if you’re trying to get in a decent leg or back day you’ll have to fight for the one rack they have. Their staff has also gotten rude and try to sell you stuff during your workout. I was approached by two personal trainers during my workout to try to sell me personal training. When I said no they gave me a dirty look and mumbled something under their breath. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I will be changing gyms.

June 2020 - This place is clean. Came today to get in and get out at 5:30am when the gym was suppose to open. But there was a line that started before opening hours and made the ppl wait until 5:37am. When they opened the doors we still had to wait until staff got theirselves together. I was on a time crunch and didn't need this. UPDATE: Aug 2021 The name of the place changed from LA Fitness to Esporta Fitness...they say LA Fitness memberships that we had prior to the change transfers over, nothing changes.

They tried to charge me $110 just to join the gym which is what they call the “basic” membership💀 and the 2nd membership is $25 for the first time then after 14 days he told me it’s gonna charge your card $59.99 for literally no extra gym perks so I asked him “why the extra $60 if it doesn’t add on to nothing” and i quote that he told me “it’s just what all the members of the gym have to pay” then the beginning of the next month you pay $25, so that’ll mean you’ve just paid what you were planning to pay for the first membership😂. $110 though!!! The absolute audacity when the gym is already so low quality. I’ve been to gyms that charge $20-$40 a month for an entirely better experience this this one. I wouldn’t recommend this because all of their plans are scams just to get an extreme amount of money out of you, then with that amount of money the over all experience isn’t that good . If I could I’d give it -5 stars💩

One of the nicer LA Fitness locations in the area, but still needs improvement. Obnoxious guests using inappropriate language, occupying multiple machines, slamming weights, dropping plates, not racking weight, and tonight is was loud music over a personal speaker . Swearing and racial slurs in their music was making everyone uncomfortable . Staff was notified , walked right past them and said nothing.

Steve Jones, took the time to identify and resolve my year long problem of being double charged. Going to the gym constantly and no one ever said anything. If you need a passionate, trainer who will be respectful and considerate to your needs— he’s your man! I Highly recommend him and I am a 32 degree Mason and a proud member of Kappa Alpha PSI!!!!

It’s ok clean but use to the Livonia ones with everything missing equipment and saunas

Going downhill and turning into a ghetto gym. Staff is loud, obnoxious and spends most of their time flirting with the female members. Club used to be open earlier on the weekends, arrived several times to find out that there is nobody there to even open at 8:00 a.m. we'll be looking for another gym if things don't improve.

Edit: back to 4 stars This gym WAS a good rating- pool, track, and free weights! Then they went down to only one squat rack, that was ridiculous. One is not enough to handle this gym's volume. (Changed to 1 star bc then there was an hr wait for anything in the rack) Now, they added back their additional squat rack (writing this on 4/25), I kicked the rating back up. If the gym had one of those precor stretch chair things, it would be a 5. But thank you for putting back the additional squat rack!

Been going here for a few months and noticed that a LOT of the equipment is broken management clearly doesn't care when these thing have been broken for months people REALLY don't care around here I'll be changing my gym next week

Sadly, this once wonderful gym will let anybody come in, and do whatever they want, no matter how inappropriate their behavior is. After fearing for my safety here on two separate occasions, as well as witnessing people lingering on the machines not working out, machines that I needed to use, I am done. Never coming back here again. This place needs security, because that’s how ghetto it is.

Smallest yet best LA fitness gym I've been to. Usually commercial gyms are restricting due to their rules and regulations. However, this location has a private gym feel to it. One tiny critique for me, personally, is the lack of certain equipment due to its size. Overall, I'm quite happy with this gym. Update: still my favorite LA Fitness and I've been to 6 different locations.

Equipment broken re: leg press d80171 not a full range of equipment available. No sauna or hot tub. Great training mat, nice pool, no ski replication machines, no cleaning stations, no medium size easily accessible lockers, nice changing room and adaquate weights and weight machines/benches for a small group

These people are nice and the pool was warm. I enjoyed my swim.

The yoga room is 64.5° instead of the promise 69 to 72°. After many calls to corporate talking to managers and all sorts of people, they cannot get the room temperature to be medically proper to do the stretching of yoga. It's time to cancel the memberships because they're just incompetent. They have to be incompetent because they keep promising that they fixed it and it's never that case as it is now. bri an is the regional manager and he says it will be fixed but it isn't. Maybe it's time for a new regional manager

Pretty clean gym. No sauna and they got rid of the steam room. Unreal..... that was the best part about working out here. Hitting the steam room after.

They do not have enough space or equipment for as crowded as this place gets during the week. They also removed all of the spray bottles guests could use to clean equipment, which a bummer for those who enjoy using a clean machine.

No effort whatsoever by staff to enforce the mask wearing rules. People working out in groups shouldn’t be allowed either. They really do not care about the health of their members.

See if you have gympass through your insurance to skip the annoying sales pitches associated with LA fitness... ... This location is smaller, but has a variety of equipment. Some stretching items are missing, which is annoying because other gyms have them. My latest complaint is that they got rid of the cleaning spray bottles. stupid! Even planet fitness has spray bottles at their many cleaning stations. They inconvenience of the dispensers location and terrible cleaning fluid makes majority of people not clean equipment after use. Yuck

The people are very friendly, the staff are very nice, could not find my car, they glad helped me find my car, its very clean there, they test the pool and hot tub everyday, I recommend it very highly, I like the one on Mack and Moross, has a hot tub and a large pool and a sauna besides the workout gym, some don't have all these features, such as the one on old 8 mile road only has a small pool and its main feature is it's workout gym

Been a member for a few weeks now after a year of hemming & hawing, procrastinating. Was always welcome in check it out... Guess pass and welcome with open arms A lot of care and attention from the manager "Coach D" Derek, great staff. Now that I am in and swimming, machines. using showers, using everything... am just grateful for the encouragement. The clean facilities, traco, plenty of equipment, no Wait Tinmes, No crazies (yet!!) & people i have met so far and never any high pressure tactics. Both Staff and met members from others Clubs. Derrick always kept in touch encouraging me to get back, join and get to it!! He is a credit TO and the Face OF thus Facility and it shows on his employees faces. Thanks All!!

Really nice gym and not too busy, but no sauna :( they do have a track up stairs to round around which I thought was really cool. Would be 5 stars if they had a sauna

This place is by far the best gym I have ever been to. The workout is intense but such a blast! Your workout is different every day, which also helps. So much better than "normal gyms"- I actually look forward to going each day! The trainers are also amazing which helps big time!! I recommend to anyone to try this place out!

Good gym for the price, only a 49$ invite fee. Just wish there where more of certain machines because some machines there’s only 1/2 of.

I have been using this gym for 3 yrs. My rating reflects the unprofessionalism and poor character, of some of the new staff. One women in particular is Kathrine/Kathleen(blonde hair & bangs). They are also very pushy when trying enroll members for personal training.

many of the TV's on elliptical are broke and cable direct TV is out on all the TVs I have brought this to the attention of staff for 3 weeks and no results. Very disappointing

I've only been to a couple LA Fitness locations, but this one is great l. It doesn't have any courts but it does have a large turf area with a sled, bake ropes and space if you want to do some interval training. Staff are nice, most of the equipment is in great shape though vinyl is starting to rip on some benches. Overall good location

The staff are always extremely pleasant and the pool is clean. Darin had done a fabulous job on setting my daughter up with a new account. Was straight forward and honest. Thank you!

I have been asking them to fix the hook in the handicap stall of the lady's restroom since January 2023 and it is still not fixed. I informed Darren that there is trash in the bottom of the bin where they keep the weights for the Aquafit class and it is still filthy. I spoke to Nick this past Saturday and he acted as if it was my problem.

“Darrin” AKA mike is a straight A** Hole. This guy told me his name was two different things. Then proceeded to mock me when I told him my name. When I asked him questions about memberships he would continuously cut me off. Then he just straight hung up on me. If that’s how they treat people inquiring about memberships. I can’t how they would see you once you become a member.

This is the cleanest LA fitness I've been to so far. The staff is very helpful The guy who works there ,Nur set us up. Very pleasant, helpful and fast. I love that there always someone disinfecting and cleaning equipment and mirrors. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!

We visited this location recently and were helped by Nur, who couldn’t have been more helpful and cheerful. Even in the midst of a holiday rush, he was patient, efficient and welcoming. My wife and I will certainly be back with this kind of superlative service.

Nur was awesome. Here for the holidays and he was so easy to work with. Will be stopping in everyday. The facility is nice, bathrooms are great and it isn’t over crowded which is much better than my other gym.

NUR, the General manager was great. Facilities were great. Overall a great experience. One of my Very best experiences at any workout facility in the country.

Working out at this location has been safe.. 6 feet distance on machines and the pool is 1 person per lane (3) lanes .locker room has only 10 available lockers. . Get sanitizer upon entering.

No worries here. Lots of space to workout safely. They provide spray cleaner for everyone. Someone is constaintly monitoring the cleanliness as well. It is so important to be able to workout and maintain a good healthy body to boost our immunity. Grateful the club is open and the employees and managers provide a healthy place to workout. 🙂❤

They have great equipment

Horrible hours since Covid. They Should open at 6 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Let people get their work out in even after sleeping in an hour on the weekends. They redid the gym but whomever made the choices clearly didn't have common sense or ever works out. Ceilings are low. If u r tall forget about some of the cardio machines. Then they have machines all over the place instead of all back in 1 area all leg in another. Also, hard to breathe. Its usually hot and stuffy in there. Wuite the opposite of what a gym should be. Another thing that sucks about All LA fitnesses in the area the personal trainers, who should be setting an example, NEVER clean the gym equipment before or after themselves

Clean, GREAT childcare staff my kids love going and playing in the kiddie Korner. I usually work out in the am and I've never had to wait for a machine. There is an indoor running track upstairs, best gym in scs and the pointes.

It's nice to be in the gym again. You walk in, get your spray bottle, and go work out. It's nice that everyone gets their own spray bottle to use for the time they're there. The only hard part right now is doing cardio. It is harder to breathe with a mask on. Cardio time gets cut down quite a bit.

Lazy people do never open this facility on time

LA Fitness has everything I need to fulfill my fitness goals and this location is always being cleaned. The other location on Moross is disgusting compared to this one.

I intend and hope for all Aswell as Mike Richert, to be able to see this. I came to this location for a 3 day guest pass due to me being in town for the weekend, and upon entering the facility yes it is friendly until you meet there sales team. In specific person speaking of the Personal Training Director Emma McCarthy. Her attitude and demeanor was welcoming and comforting until I informed her of me only being in town for the weekend and her whole persona switched to this rude and arrogant “pay $20 for a day pass out gym is not for outsiders”. I understand the pressure that working in sales can bring to a person that is only making $7.50/hr plus commissions. But verses taking it out towards the people that can possibly recommend others to come and try out your gym is one of the many of the 13 “fatal errors” you can make. Instead of trying to force a sale . Force a conversation with a smile . I would highly not recommend someone personally train with Ms. McCarthy only due to her underlining tone and attitude towards people. I feel like in my mind and heart someone would not be able to see a positive transformation through life and body if they were to work with her as their personal trainer.

Place is pure garbage. No ac in building. Squat racks in the corner not facing a mirror. Anyone that says this is a good gym, has ZERO gym experience. Also the place is small as hell do better bozos.
