Lovely place to stay. Get up close with kangaroos and cockatoos. Explored the lovely trails along Yarra River and at the edge of the golf course.

We loved our stay. Cottages are located in beautiful surroundings next to a golf course. Lots of birds and kangaroos. Cottage is clean and has a nice deck with BBQ. Plenty of wood for the fireplace. Great location to visit the wineries in the area. We can highly recommend staying here.

The most incredible accomodation with stunning views, surrounded by nature (kangaroos and cockatoos everywhere) everything is so well thought out in the accomodation, fully equipped kitchen, the most generous morning continental brekky, gorgeous fireplace, and I loved the huge bathroom with spa (bathroom floor heating is lush) and the bed is so so comfy! This is our second visit and we will def come back!! We love it.

My wife and I stayed at Yering Cottages in May this year and we absolutely loved it! We spent the weekend here and felt the cottages were separated enough so as to give each occupant privacy. Kangaroos are plentiful and the staff were lovely especially Sue King who we dealt with in the lead up and throughout the weekend we were there. Thank you Yering we will be back!

This was great to spend some time away and outdoors. The cabin was clean and spacious. The best bit was sitting on the deck and watching kangaroos or birds. The staff was friendly and accommodating giving us a refund when we didn't use the golf portion of our package. The location is great too. Far enough away from Melbourne but not a long drive from the city.

We had the most relaxing and comfortable weekend stay at Yering Gorge Cottages, surrounded by wildlife and beautiful vineyards. We received a lovely welcome pack on arrival, the cottage was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We will be recommending Yering Gorge to everyone we know. Thank you.

We've spent an unforgettable night in Yering Gorge Cottages. Watching kangaroos while having a BBQ on the patio was perfect. The cottages are in the middle of nature yet close to a great golf course and wineries - what more could you wish for. On top, the super friendly and helpful staff make this a great place to stay!

My bridesmaids, mum and I stayed in the 4 bedroom cottage the night before our wedding. Found the cottage quite dirty, dusty, covered in cobwebs and you could see on the walls where it had been patched up and not painted. Cottage was neglected and under maintained. A couple of our guests unfortunately left some items behind, I understand our belongings are our own responsibility but staff had no interest in helping retrieve the items after being contacted numerous times straight after checkout. Was just told they were ‘thrown’ out without being contacted prior. Found staff to be rude to our guests when questioned about this. Upon check in I asked on the off chance a late check out could be organised, was told sorry we are fully booked this won’t be possible. I understand it was late notice to be asking for a late check out but the following night I had booked a 1 bedroom cottage with my husband which was next to the 4 bedroom cottage and there was no one to be seen in the 4 bedroom cottage. The views were great, kangaroos grazing at our doorstep, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious but the overall state of the cottage was far from up to standard for the price we paid per night. Disappointed with our stay in the 4 bedroom cottage, felt we did not get what we paid for. However the 1 bedroom cottage we stayed in was tidy and was comfortable.

We love Yering Gorge Cottages! This is the second time we have stayed now and both trips have been awesome! The cottage is always clean and the breakfast basket is a big bonus. The staff are very friendly and the booking process is super easy. We have had a late check in on both stays and the staff have been very accomodating and helpful with our check in. The cottages are a great accomodation option if you wish to stay and play golf as you don’t need to leave the grounds at all! Always nice sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea in the morning and using the bbq to cook at night whilst looking at the views. We will definitely be back again!

We loved it! Stayed here for my brother wedding over two nights! The cottages had gorgeous views and there were tones of kangaroos around for our international. The rooms were very spacious and the beds were comfy! Will definitely book again!

One of the best experience I have ever had. The cottage was perfect. A great place to be away from all the hectic city life and just wind down. I loved everything about this place and I highly recommend it for everybody.

Amazing! Cottage room was spacious and lovely and warm upon arrival. The views were extraordinary! Surrounded by friendly kangaroos and mums with joeys peeking from their warm pouches! Definitely recommend the cottages and will be back next time we visit the wineries in the area.

A very comfortable place to stay. Loved the quietness and privacy. A bonus seeing Kangaroos and many different birds close by. The breakfast hamper and the BBQ hamper were both very good. Friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

We have just arrived at Yering Gorge Cottages and have been welcomed with a 5 star experience. We had a late arrival and our cottage was set up ready for us to jump in and have a lovely sleep. The breakfast hamper looks to die for and we cannot wait to make the muesli option. It feels like a true country getaway.

We’ve stayed here twice now and it was fabulous both times! Beautiful cottages, super clean and the most phenomenal surrounds. We definitely hope to stay again soon!

We should have stayed an extra night. The cabin was spacious and inviting. The surrounds were perfect, right next to the Yarra River. We'll be back.

We love our cottage very much. Tidy, clean and well organised resources available for us throughout 2 nights we stay. We got a really great space for our family of 5 plus the kangaroos surrounding us. Every morning we wake up with kangaroos surrounded us from side windows or front gate (it is cute isn’t? 😂) just we hope the breakfast hamper could have more portion and more variety if possible.

We stayed here while attending a wedding and it was a great experience. Very private and lots of local wildlife

We stayed hiring out 6 cabins in total for our wedding weekend (2 nights). The cabins are beautiful and the scenery and the isolation of the location is serene however i have a few suggestions/comments. 1. There is a huge golf club that do amazing meals but u cannot order any take away to the cabins. You can only order mainly DIY hampers which for a wedding day is not suitable with hair and make up, there simply isn't time to make things yourself etc. Due to the cabins location and isolation of it I feel the property is missing a huge opportunity not allowing takeaway to the cabins its also a lack of service to its guests. 2. As we were there 2 nights I asked for my room only to be serviced after the first night with fresh towels, bed re made etc as the second night was my wedding night and i was also getting photos in my cabin. When i asked for this to be done I was told they don't offer this service and it was $45 extra to service the room. The cabin is $340 a night and they don't refresh the room? I found this a bit outrageous.3. When I booked in Jan/Feb (for a November stay) I asked for the 2 brm cabin to be free standing as I would have lots of visitors for hair and make up and photos etc. I was advised this wasn't possible as rooms already allocated and they couldn't move rooms around even though there was over 8 months to go before our stay. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed our stay but the property seems to be run by two main ladies who are polite to a point but they are set in their rules and they are not interested in being flexible. I just felt a bit like they were paying me for the privilege of staying instead of he other way around. There wasn't really any flexibility with anything.

No hot water in the morning they gave me golf club shower instead. They said I should call in the morning, but I think they should maintain well before their customer come. Very cold at night, so no hot water is really ruined my holiday.

Incredible location and we were blessed with perfect weather. Was very enjoyable and relaxing even without golfing or touring. Cottages are beautiful and very private. The only con would be the beds, a full king would have been better than two twins. We will definately be back many times.

Lovely spot! Views and wildlife are incredible! Mini bar prices are a little frustrating especially as we had no electrify or water in the morning. Great walks nearby to see the massive kangaroos.

Amazing little cottages. Great view and cereal options.

Everything was perfect, they give bread milk etc for breakfast. Bed was comfortable. The view is very relaxing with all those kangaroos hoping around and people playing golf. Free rent golf clubs and balls for driving if you're staying here (a big + for my hubby). The only cons is that its bit hard to find places to eat. Would definitely recommend and come back here again.

This was a wonderful getaway! I highly recommend it for those with young children who like to explore nature. We had cockatoos and kangaroos at our doorstep each morning and night, and driving to and from other places was fun because there were always kangaroos hopping around. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast hamper lovely. A great place for a relaxing family weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottages. They were as spacious as expected, very clean and the views and quiet open location did not disappoint. We enjoyed the bushwalking optioned around the cottages and were delighted to spot some wonderful wombat friends. The location is great, close to many sites and places to eat. We ordered the cheese board and hot breakfast and were very impressed with the generous servings. We would definitely stay again.

Our 2 nights stay at Yering Gorge Cottages were lovely and memorable, in fact it was the highlight of our 3 weeks Melbourne trip. Cottage is clean and well equipped, view and its surrounding is just breathtaking. Will definitely come back given the opportunity to visit Melbourne in the future *A must visit for golfers*

We loved our stay at Yering Gorg Cottages. It was easy to check in and easy instructions on how to find our cabin. The cabins are great inside. Nice, clean, cosy and very spacious for a family of 3. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the wild life in the evening. In the morning it was cold but so beautiful seeing the fog over the mountains. My only critique is that they don’t offer any vegetarian hampers that you can choose from so we had to bring our own food from home. It would be great to see more variety hampers on offer.

Beautiful little spot tucked away above the golf course. Peaceful and detached cabins amongst the kangaroos, just 45 mins drive from Melbourne city.

Great as always. Kangaroos roaming around the estate are great to watch with a roaring fire. The perfect place to spend a few days. Bonus if you’re a golf fan (I’m not)

Spacious, clean and well-equipped accomodation in an idyllic setting. Perfect place for a rejuvenating holiday. You'll find plenty of kangaroos and wild parrots in your backyard and the golf course area. Customer service is excellent too — one of the temp staff went all the way out to help us find a place for dinner when a lot of places were booked out.

  • 5/5 Stanislav I. 1 year ago on Google
Cozy, amazing and you’ve got everything you need. Many kangaroos around, parrots as well. Echidnas came to greet us to our cottage. We came by taxi so it a bit challenging to explain where to come (a 5-min drive needed after entering the golf course with not much navigation) and there are very few cars in the area. But if you drive your own car- not an issue obviously

😐 Tried this place and my experience was not that great. The food quality is not good & taste is below average. Not sure why this place is famous when there are many restaurants that serve great Indian food with quality, quantity & price.
