👍👍 Very calm and quiet place. You can absorb calmness in this place. Mind realaxing to watch the art done by the Monks. They are very friendly and also let us practice the art also. Must visit buddhist temple.

It looks great at night as well! It was very informative for kids and adults to visit, but if you come on Sunday at 17:00 you'll usually have an excursion (we were told by locals).

Beautiful place! The main hall, where Bhudda sits is bound to be peaceful! The only thing that boggles me is the cafe that they have right in the middle downstairs! They sell meat there:( Ahimsa being such a strong principal to Bhudda, how can this cafe exist there!!! Minus one star for this crime!

I've been to Vietnam and visited some Buddhist temple. This one looks alike. If you want to fall into asian peaceful quietness, that's the place to do it. Also you can try buryat national dish - so called "busi", taste like he khinkali. See photos. 1 piece for 40 rub. Enjoy!

It’s always nice to accidentally bump into an awesome place like this. We were lucky enough to see and hear the monks chanting in front of Buddha and pictures of Lamas. I’m not a religious guy but the place is literally filled with peace and freedom, which is amplified by gorgeous interior design and quietly praying visitors. Whoever you are, whatever you believe in, come visit this oasis for several minutes at least.

The Northermost Buddhist temple in the world, a beautiful architecture which mixes "Eastern" elements with pure Russian "Mir isskustva" (Art Nouveau). If you attend one of the services, you'll see a very varied and helpful community of Buddhists from different walks of life and Russian ethnicities. Exiting the temple and passing the gate, you'll find the former house for monks with placques remembering both monks and laymen (Russian professors of Buddhism, mainly) killed during Stalin's "Terror" in the 30s.

A special place in St Petersburg for me and my family. The Mahayana Buddhism is generally practicing here, as well as yoga, meditation, there are some nice classes like A little Buddha, volunteering helps to develop compassion. There is dining room where you can taste our buryad food.

Found it to be very peaceful, it was my first experience at a Buddhist temple. Hope to return in the future and learn more about Buddha and his followers.

I recently visited a Buddhist monastery in Saint Petersburg over the weekend, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Despite the crowds, the spiritual atmosphere was palpable, and I felt a deep sense of tranquility and peace. This monastery is a must-visit for anyone seeking a profound spiritual journey.
