The hotel is brilliantly located right near the Nevsky Prospekt area. It is new, very clean and has everything you need! All the staff are very friendly and happy to help with any questions such as directions and recommendations of places to visit. The restaurant was superb, there were a large selection of Russian (and other) dishes - the Venison Dumplings are a must try! Also the servers were very attentive and friendly. I’d definitely recommend staying here!

The hotel itself is located in the heart of Saint Petersburg near many monuments, it is easy to get to by public transport. The interior of the hotel is absolutely fantastic as it is designed in the imperial style, it is spotless and the stuff there are really nice. The restaurant menu is full of choices for any diet preference. The food is mainly Russian dishes with touches of modern cuisine. the food was amazing to the point where you were not just eating with your mouth but with your eyes as well. The Garden Street Hotel is a well designed family owned hotel, quiet and comfortable...and within walking distance of major attractions. A real gem, tucked away on a quiet side street close to Nevsky Prospect, the main street. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was well serviced, clean and comfortable. The restaurant provides an excellent buffet style breakfast with fresh and varied choices. The a la carte dinner menu, mainly of Russian cuisine, also has a nice selection of dishes and are wonderfully presented. The Borscht and the Salmon Salad (with baked vegetables and beetroot dressing) plus the chef's special Potato Dessert are a few dishes I recall...the food is delicious and our waiter, Arslan, provided quick and excellent service. To celebrate ringing in the New Year....and in keeping with a Russian tradition....we and other hotel room guests were presented with a bottle of champagne and mandarins on New Year's Eve. Overall the Garden Street Hotel was a delightful stay during our time over the festive period in Saint Petersburg and we would not hesitate to stay again upon a return visit.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It has a cozy, home-like feeling and it is in a great location so perfect for tourism. They can also recommend best routes to go around St. Petersburg if you ask at reception. The restaurant is also worth visiting. The menu is very inclusive, has something for everyone but it also gives the perfect opportunity to try all the local cuisine in a nice setting and affordable prices. Personal recommendation to try the venison dumplings and the beef stroganoff.

Great location and service. However, the beds in the twin room are so tiny I wasn't able to turn over comfortably.

New, comfy, cozy, in a quiet area but walking distance to Nevsky and other interesting places! Highly recommended

Great stay with great staff specially Natalia and Daria, the location is amazing with proximity to city center, will come again for sure in my next visit
