We were there on vacation. Staff and location was good. We stayed 4 nights. The room was not serviced during our stay. The garbage was not emptied. Their was a $24 charge for parking per day. When you pay $349 a night you think that would include packing. Parking was extremely dark as well. The carpet on the balcony was old and dirty. The hotel needs a good refresh and a coat of paint. This hotel is far from a 4 stars. The staff at the restaurant were excellent and so was the food.

Let me start by saying the location is perfect the hotel is beautiful.HOWEVER - the rooms are TINY, dated and dark. - A/c doesn’t work - No fan in bathroom - Not the cleanest - There was dirty dishes literally the hallway the entire weekend. 2 cups of sauce were on a table for over 48 hours. - Room service says they are open till 10, they close at 9:30 - Booked a balcony room was not given a balcony room. When I asked they were fully booked nothing we could do - No one pays attention to the amount of people allowed in hot tub, no children between 9-10 pm. - Staff was friendly -ish - Overpriced for what you get - Lack of staffing ( but I think that’s everywhere) - Not all outlets in room work - no breakfast or mention of, for the price you pay it is NOT WORTH it With the exception of the location and the history of the hotel, I would not recommend. The Hilton and delta are in the same area, rates are around the same. Read all of the reviews. Trip advisor has a bunch of similar ones.

Pros: - Relatively clean - Chose this hotel for its central location. Could not have asked for better, everything was walking distance. - Good for families + there's a pool - Plenty of towels - Good service from the concierge. - Restaurants and convenience store close-by Cons: - The suite we had looked dated, could be better and could benefit from some renovations and updates. - Didn't enjoy the sheets and pillows, everything was clean but it would have been nice to have more comfy pillows and more than a sheet to cover the mattress.

This hotel is in a great location for walking around the city. My family and I went for winter break, and my husband booked the holiday package. Upon arrival, there were stockings with candy, a stuffed animal, and a blanket for the kids. That was very sweet. The grounds inside the hotel were great and beautifully decorated. The pool area is nice and there were concerts every night we were there which was also great. There is a restaurant at the hotel that is very good. We liked the dinner better than the breakfast. With the package, my husband booked breakfast and dinner. This worked out well as it was very convenient and the food was very good. We planned to get there in time for dinner on Tuesday night, but with unforseen circumstances, we arrived later and could not use the dinner vouchers my husband purchased. He explained what happened to the manager and they were very nice about it and refunded us our money. The service was great. Staff at hotel and restaurant very friendly. Rooms are small, but we made it work. Would definitely stay again. Great for families.

We mainly went for the pool and the location. We loved the location, but the pool was disappointing. The water was freezing, the air temperature was cold too. It wasn't possible to enjoy it. Also for this price, we would have expected better service at the hotel, like someone to help us with our bags on arrival and departure and daily room cleaning. That's the bare minimum at any hotel and it wasn't provided. Also what was supposed to be a city view was just a view towards a busy street, not what we expected at all. We also didn't have coffee in our room for the coffee machine. Overall it wasn't good value for our money.

We were looking for a room in Old Quebec with clean and modern facilities and Hotel Palace Royal met all those qualifications. The room was large enough for a family of 6 but we were only two. Spotless with comfortable furnishings and two televisions and plenty of closet space. There is a coffee maker in the room and creamer was delivered on request. The hotel restaurant offers a large selection hot and cold items, buffet breakfast each morning at an additional charge. Excellent choice for those looking for an early start. We were at the beginning of Old Quebec with a variety of local dining options only a few minutes away. Unfortunately on some evenings the bar was not available due to lack of staff. This is a great place for tourists and families who like location and do not plan on using a car. Parking is available on site for a daily rate. I don't see what else you would want in accommodations.PS: The pool would be a hit for families with children.

We loved the location. So close to all the action. Great little skating rink and coffee shop right outside the hotel. Great pool and hot tub to relax the body after all the adventuring. Room was a little small and had double beds instead of queens but it was pretty comfortable. We had dinner in hotel restaurant and it was very good with great service. The lighter Bistro menu that is advertised all over the place is not available in the restaurant.

Hi, we just stayed at the hotel for two nights celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and while the hotel is located in a very convenient walking location to the old city, has very nice amenities (swimming pool, jacuzzi and restaurant) and pretty decent size of the rooms with comfortable beds and balcony, the service was lacking! The hotel was sending me emails to upgrade and purchase additional services prior to our stay so I did add the chocolate and sparkling wine package for 58 CAD to help us celebrate our anniversary. Since we changed the rooms at the arrival, the package had to be brought from one room to another. Once it was brought, we have only gotten a plate with pastries, nicely wrapped but not champagne. When I brought it up to the clerk's attention, I couldn't communicate it because he didn't speak any English. There was no manager on duty apparently that night. Fine. I brought it up the next morning and the woman was unpleasant and completely not caring. She offered me $20 CAD discount because the did deliver the pastries! But not even once she said "sorry for the inconvenience" even though I told her it was for the anniversary celebration. She made me feel cheap because I had to chase that stupid bottle of champagne. It wasn't about the money, it was about acknowledgement that they messed up. Had she said I am sorry or even offered me a couple of free drinks at the hotel's bar to celebrate our anniversary, I wouldn't even bring it up. Mistakes happen. But she was rude and this left a bit of unease in my mind about this stay. I will definitely choose a different hotel next time.

Great location, so close to Old Quebec! Enjoyed our stay, used the pool, hot tub and sauna and enjoyed it all. Beds were comfortable, facility was clean. Spent two nights, not bothered at all that staff didn’t clean the room while we were there. Asked chambermaid for a few extra towels the second day and she happily offered whatever I needed. So glad there was a nice restaurant on site so we didn’t need to go out in rain last night. Dinner at the steakhouse was very good. I would definitely stay here again.

-Lack of privacy. Some of rooms has blinds, but not all the rooms. -As you can see from my photo attached, black out curtain is just for decoration. There is no rail, can't physically cover fully. Another huge privacy concern and maybe not a great hotel choice for the one who like dark for sleep. Light comethrough the door for whole day. -My room's Pop-up push drain doesn't work. Couldn't use bathtub. -Heater doesn't work, both thermostat, electronic fireplace(maybe its fake for decoration? But don't know why cool air comes out from it's vent) -There was fan noises all night long. (Wasn't from my room) -Full of chlorine smells, saw a staff pouring 🪣 of it. Hotel need better ventilating system -I would expect all hotel has "Do not disturb" card to hang on door but this one doesn't -One of night stand has no switch knob -Full of dust above washroom sink

My experience here could have been great except the hotel has the WORST customer service. The manager, Keven was rude. When we arrived, we noticed there were homeless people sleeping on the stoop of the hotel that we had to walk over to gain entry. I mentioned this to their security. Two days later as I entered the hotel, I slipped and fell on spilled liquid on their stairs. I broke the glass of my phone and scraped my hands and toe. I went to the front desk and was asked to fill out a form. The next day no one from the hotel contacted me. The day after I went down to the front desk but they were too busy to meet with me. I was asked to write and email detailing what I had already written out for them. The manager, Keven called me and let me know that the hotel bears zero responsibility for their property and I would not be compensated for my damaged property. The Jaro company needs to know what type of place this is and how horrible their customer service is. It had ruined a wonderful trip to Quebec City.

The place is beautiful but that's all. The service was terrible. It seems attitude is very popular. Absolutely no room clean up or fresh towels dropped off after 4 days there. We had to call and go to the front desk. And here is the kicker, $180 per night and we still had to pay $25 per day for parking. I will not recommend. No warning about the parking. Omission is worse.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 night. On our arrival to the hotel we felt the room was very warm. We lowered the temp and went out to eat. Came back 2 hours later to find no change in the room temperature. We called the maintenance and he did something to the thermostat. He told us that it will take an hour for the temperature can come down so be patient. We waited for 2 hours and no change. My husband went downstairs again and they said this is not an emergency and they will look into it at nighttime. We had a very uncomfortable night due to the room temperature. We found out in the morning that they were lying to us and they have no air conditioner ( read other reviews ). We were told no housekeeping for 3 days. On our last day we were expecting housekeeping and fresh towels. I told the front desk rude lady to please make sure our room gets cleaned. She wrote the wrong room number and did not even make eye contact and was talking to the other front desk while I was taking it her. The housekeeping did not do anything. Just left a few new towel they were stiff as bricks. No new soap or toilet paper (we were out) no trash pick up and did not even make the beds. The side tables had dusty and disgusting. The front staff was rude. Zero stars and will not recommend especially for $400 a night

I been to this hotel 2 times before COVID but I just went again this pass weekend and I was very disappointed, we were there for 2 nights and after the first night I asked for our suite to be cleaned and they said of course and they never did it. Also this hotel had valet parking now they don’t. but there is still parking that is 26$ plus tax but the issue is we went out for dinner came cane to park the car and there was no spots at all, then they told us to go park in next hotel but then the supervisor at night said she will take off her car to get me in and she would void the charge for parking but after we check out I got the bill for the parking. Also the restaurant for breakfast was much better before as you had a choice of à la carte or buffet now it is only buffet and it is very overpriced. The lifeguard on Saturday was not there at all. I really don’t know what happened to management but these weren’t issued before.

Hotel was fine. It’s not a 4 star, maybe it used to be. Our room was a bit dirty - someone’s old mask was there and some garbage on the floor near the bed. The pool and performers are cool and our view was nice. The hotel is very dated and also doesn’t include breakfast!

Rooms were clean and beds were soft and nice to sleep on, the size of the room was good (Two beds and one pull-out couch) and the pullout couch is really uncomfortable. The pool was clean and we enjoyed the balcony but that was about it. Two lamps in our room didnt work, the shower drain was clogged and there was no picture on our balcony like other rooms and there was four holes in the wall where the picture was supposed to be. I'm pretty sure other rooms were fine, just our room (910)

I had a bad experience of staying in this hotel. I stayed at place royal for one night for a business trip. The hotel is close to the touristic neighborhood. The price was higher than the quality of the hotel. They have a common pool and hot tub on the middle of the building (interior) that causes the smell of chlorine spreads in all floors. The pool and the hut tub were not clean, by staying in the hot tub for a few seconds you could feel the mildew smell from the water. I left the hut tub right away and let the staff now about the quality of the water. But the worst came less than two weeks after my stay! When i learned i got a skin wart in the sole of my foot! When i consulted a doctor she right away asked if i go to public pool or spa, the only place i had gone was that pool and hut tub at place royal. Very disappointed and upset of my experience.

I came to Quebec City May 12-15 for my birthday and to celebrate Mother's Day. Having never been to the city before, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get to old Quebec from the hotel. The front desk was very helpful and friendly, and w were able to get into the room before the 5 pm check-in time. The room was super clean and spacious enough for 3 adults. The sofa bed was not very comfortable and the sheet was a plastic material so that was the only downfall of the room. Room service also did not service our room the first day so we had to go to reception to ask for coffee and more towels. Other than that its a great place to stay!

This cannot be a 4 star hotel. It was so disappointing. Yes, the location was amazing but that was it. To boil it all down, the communication was terrible at the hotel. On the first day, our room was hot. We called because we couldn’t get it to turn down and the temperature was climbing up. Someone came but they couldn’t do anything. They told us we could call the front desk but the mechanic had left for the night. We called and were told there was nothing to be done. Check in the morning. We checked in the morning and they said they would send the mechanic. We have no idea if the mechanic ever came. It was still hot and was not working. They didn’t seem to care and never communicated if someone came. We checked again and they said they would send someone. Nothing changed and we have no ideas if anyone came. When I explained it at checkout, I was told “ok, can I send the receipt to your email?”. No concern or thought about how to make it right or make the situation better. Also they do not do daily room refreshes. I understand that I don’t need towels or sheets every day but no new coffee, no making the bed, no emptying trash. When they did come to give coffee, they did not do anything else to the room. That is not a 4 star hotel. Finally, on Friday night they had live music in the center of the hotel, our balcony overlooked that. It went til 930. Our child was crying and couldn’t sleep because it was SO loud. Again, if this had been communicated at least we could have had a plan. Dust was all over the room and the fixtures. The bathroom wasn’t very nice. The towels were cheap. Very disappointing with how much we spent.

We stayed at this hotel for New Years and it was very close from the Toboggan festival which was very convenient and the hotel also had music attractions every night what was very cool. The only party that we did not aprove was the curtains because you don’t have privacy and I like to sleep with blackout curtains.

The staff weren't very helpful / informative upon arrival and during check-in. That aside, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and clean (king interior balcony) and it was very conveniently located. Most points of interest were less than a 15 minute walk, and many were closer.

    1. called reception after the 1st night requesting basic toiletries, the receptionist said it'd be delivered within half an hour, called up again after 1 hr had passed...he said he had forgotten about it and said would arrange for them...that too didnt happen. Finally found a cleaning staff on the floor below and had to take the toiletries from the cart. all this happened before 10 am. While going out, took this up with the lady at the reception and she refused to have any knowledge and said their systems were down and they couldn't do anything. 2. the price i paid all inc. was 559$, the service was not even good for a 100$. you need to stop advertising it as a 4* hotel because clearly it wasn't. and the lack of basic courtesy of the staff was the cherry on the cake. 3. when you describe having a pool for use etc, the least you can do is provide slippers/ cloth moccasins' that even Travelodge provides to it's guests. 4. hospitality was below sub par. was the worst ever experience and i wish to dispute the charges on my credit card. I wish i had spent 100$ more and stayed at the hilton or fairmont

The hotel was nice! We were there for 2 nights. We chose the indoor garden room for the shows. The friday night show with Maude was great. Beautiful songs and relaxing music. Saturday night there was a band of 3 people. The music was way too loud and we couldn't talk to each other on our balcony, We couldn't hear the lyrics to the songs, drowned out by the music. We enjoyed the pool and spa . The last negative points are 3 cupets of coffee in our room for 2 people for 2 days with 3 cardboard cups.( I waited to get more the second day but they never came) No wine glasses in room, you have to go down to the bar and ask.

The location was fantastic. We looked out our window to see the city gate and ice-skating rink. The kids loved the pool after our long days exploring the city. A very fancy hotel right between and a short walk from the Citadel, plains of Abraham, and old city. Parking on premises a huge plus. The beds were comfortable for even my picky spouse. The floors were a bit slippery. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but there were so many dining options 1-2 blocks away in any direction.

Our family had an amazing stay at Hotel Palace Royale in Quebec City! One of the highlights of our trip was definitely the hotel's indoor pool, which the kids absolutely loved. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of seating and towels available for guests. The pool itself was the perfect size for our family, and the kids loved playing in the water and splashing around. I also appreciated the fact that the pool area had a hot tub, which was a great way for the adults to relax while the kids played. In addition to the pool, our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a great stay. The hotel's location in the heart of Old Quebec was also fantastic, with easy access to all the major attractions in the area. Overall, we had an amazing family vacation at Hotel Palace Royale in Quebec City, and the pool was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and fun family getaway. Five stars all around!

This was our first time in Quebec and we loved it! I booked this hotel based on the price and location. I was looking for something nice but also budget friendly since we were road tripping with our kids. First off, the location is fantastic and you can’t beat how close it is to Old Quebec. It’s literally a one minute walk. The room itself was just okay. Nothing fancy and pretty basic but the mattress and pillows were great! The kids loved the indoor pool which was a plus after a day of waking the streets. I read that people complained about the smell of the pool in the lobby. You do smell the pool, but I don’t think that’s something can be helped since you walk in the hotel and the pool is located up the stairs on the second floor. Wasn’t a big deal to me, but you can smell it. The cost for the hotel was budget friendly based on its location and I would definitely stay here again. It’s a great location, good for a family with kids and won’t break the bank.

Fantastic, beautiful, clean, friendly and the best location you can imagine!! Couldn’t imagine a more lovely accommodation. We had a city view family suite and it was perfect for our family of four, including two teenage sons. Separate sleeping areas, 2 TVs, 2 sinks, separate shower/toilet area, but the best part was our view!! Highly recommend, don’t hesitate, book it!!

  • 3/5 Deepnath M. 11 months ago on Google
The hotel rate was pretty pricey. The location is great, as most of the attractions in Old Quebec City are within walking distance from the hotel. There are also a lot of good restaurants nearby. The bus terminus is also located right next to the hotel, providing connections to the other parts of the City. The views are amazing as well, especially of the atrium and pool area when it lights up at night. However, we expected better service/amenities considering the amount we paid for our stay and also since it is a 4-star hotel. Even minor things like tea bags were not provided and we had to call back every time for refills of every item. The hotel doesn't have a water fountain which was another big issue for us as well. The room was pretty nice and spacious, though the bathroom was small.

  • 4/5 Epic G. 9 months ago on Google
It’s definitely an older building but that really hasn’t mattered here, what it lacked in it made up for with the splendid atrium and the wonderful location. I’d recommend to anyone a stay here, even if the property could use some updates. For example, the toilet clogged (which was promptly fixed by staff) and the hot tubs jets weren’t very strong.

Lovely stay at this Hotel, my first choice for every visit to Quebec City! Prime location, and wonderful views. The pool area and the lobby takes one back to yesteryears of grand luxury. The modern hotels of today cannot compare. 1 star less because they were short-staffed. There was no longer bell-hop service to help with luggage, and they've made changes to their services. House-keeping frequency has been greatly reduced, towels are no longer refreshed daily. So if you're staying for more than 1 night, please keep this in mind! The rooms are starting to show their age. There is rust on shower curtain rods, the bathroom's wooden door was swollen due to moisture and inadequate exhaust, so it would get stuck. Light fixtures in the rooms and hallways weren't always straight. But regardless of all of these minor issues, which can be expected of such an old building, it was a very pleasant stay, and it is always a joy to return to the hotel, for a wonderful break!

My family and I stayed here early November of 2023 and we had a great time. The hotel was clean and nice, the room was also very nice and we loved our view of the city. Very close to Old Quebec so the location is also great. It was quite busy and we had to wait at the check in line for a while and to ask questions too. Some staff were friendly, others weren't. It was a bit of a mixed bag on that one. The girl at the pool handing out towels looked very depressed and wasn't super friendly. The music was also quite loud in the pool area and we could hear it from our room which was a little annoying too. The hotel also charges a service fee that they don't tell you about. Apparently it is refunded after your stay, but they didn't tell us about it to begin with and put in on our credit card and never said a word to us. We had to call them after our trip to find out what it was for and only then were we told. So be aware, they do this in case you don't show up and then they charge you a fee. Besides that, the location is excellent and just moments away to Old Quebec. Lots of amazing stores and shopping too. We did enjoy our stay here a lot but for future visits we'd most likely pick a different hotel.

Positives. Great location. You are walking distance to everything. The rooms were nice and well appointed. But, not very quiet (more on that below). The staff was friendly and accommodating. Negatives. The rooms were not serviced every day. They would only empty the trash and restock the coffee every other day. I was constantly raiding the cart to get coffee in the room. The interior rooms overlook the indoor pool. That was nice most of the time. However, when there was live music, you could hear it clearly in the room despite closing the doors and curtains, etc. It made it hard when putting the kids to bed. I would be willing to try this hotel again of we were on an outside room. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

The location is great if you are looking to explore Quebec City! Just a short walk will get you to many wonderful sights. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. I am disappointed with the room service only being every 3 days. We have to ask for more towels, get our garbage changed out, and recyclables changed more regularly since we are a family of 4. The room design is nice, the pull out couch is good for my two young sons. The door between the bathroom and bedroom is nice to have more privacy. The tub is very comfortable and large. Our balcony overlooks the pool and is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee. I do not hear noise during the night, the hotel seems pretty sound proof. We ordered pizza to the room one night and it took awhile to come, and also was not very good. I am hesitant to eat at the steakhouse because of this. I was hoping for live entertainment during our stay, but unfortunately nothing is happening during our stay, another disappointment. I felt being a weekend, they would have had something. The hot tub and pool are clean, but the sauna is not working. The front desk assistants have been helpful. I have had to ask for towels, more paper cups/coffee pods, and silverware so far. Again, no housekeeping is a bummer. As a mother, I’m not full vacation mode cleaning and running for more housekeeping needs daily.

The hotel seems short of staff. The service received was good and helpful when it was available! However, we waited about 30 minutes to check in! Our room didn't get cleaned or bed made (we didn't expect clean towels or bed linen). It is a lovely hotel and I would stay there again should the opportunity arise!

Loved my short stay at this hotel. One of the nicer hotels I’ve ever stayed in and nothing disappointed. I had requested an indoor balcony over the garden and was given a great room and the balcony was a nice touch. The living room area is spacious and comfy. There are two TVs! shower was great and clean. Entire room was very clean and fresh. Bed was unbelievably comfy. Check in and out was easy with elevators from parking to the lobby. Parking was $21 for the night. Location is perfect for exploring old Quebec. Highly recommend this location!!

This hotel was a nightmare. Relocated 4 times in 3 hours due to MOLD issues. Please please people do a thorough walkthrough before you settle into a hotel room. Check the bathroom, the tub/ shower. Under every furniture. And turn the bathroom fan on to make sure it works. Check your bed sheets and spread, make sure they were changed and clean. The staff were nice and cooperative. It is a nice looking hotel, but it has its issues.

Great location and within a short walk to Quarter Petit Champlain. Our suite was clean, quiet and spacious. Front desk staff we're friendly and helpful. Don't use underground parking if you have a large SUV or Pick Up truck

Checking-in took forever and the room was very dirty. There were dust and strands of hair on the floor by the walls. We also had to request for new blankets because the sofa bed’s sheets have stains on them. We waited for an hour to get them but decided to leave the hotel and walk around - the blankets were in our room when we got back tho. However, we still ended up not using the sofa bed because even after getting the sheets, the sofa bed still didn’t feel clean. The pool was nice and there was a live band. You also have to show the receptionist your vaccination proof to get a bracelet to access the pool. However, no one was at the pool to check and make sure the guests have bracelets. Saw some people without it using the pool. Giving 2 stars because of the location.

Good location but rooms very dingy and old. A/C makes noise and they reply because hotel is old, bathroom full of black mould in shower. Took the second day to get soap to room.Do not buy package with Beffroi restaurant as food is only at par and not what advertised! Their breakfast service staff and manager very rude, need a reservation for an empty restaurant, after making one for 20 minutes later they kept letting people in with no reservation before we got in.left after arguing my point with manager. Nothing special. Nice hotel. Clean. I liked: The pool area. Very nice and relaxing area. Biggest complaint: Underground parking is very tight and might risk not being able to park as it gets full very quickly. Have been politely told by hotel reception that it's not the hotel's problem as it is the city's parking even though it's the parking offered to clients by the hotel...

Stayed in the signature Queen room with city view. Very beautiful room with lot of space, nice furniture, closets, locker, fridge, coffee maker etc etc. Totally enjoyed the stay. The location is also great at walkable distance to popular tourist spots. It would have been great if the room rent included the breakfast.

Very Disappointed! We are still waiting for someone from the hotel management to get back to us regarding the beyond horrid customer service/behaviour/comments of the individual we had to deal with at the hotel restaurant, (that we were advised was indeed part of the hotel, as I asked). We reported the incident to the front desk that same evening. Then when no one got back to us & we checked out the next afternoon I once AGAIN mentioned the incident and asked to now have the General Manager contact us. (BTW the 2 sets of front desk staff were wonderful and seemed very understand but they were not the Manager) As of today 4 days later no one has contacted us as requested. This just adds insult to injury. For that reason I have rated as a 1 star. Depending on the response from the hotel I may change it but with the so called “Manager” of the restaurant completely ruining our entire stay and our last dinner out to end our vacation. My review remains as a 1 star (it looked like a very nice place, great menu and we spent hours that day looking at me yes and locations trying to find a restaurant and sadly chose this one). It was further ruined as it was a late dinner we planned and little to no other places were open. The indifference of the hotel management not addressing our issue that begins with our specific accessibility requests (mentioned twice) on our online dinner reservations being ignored and the behaviour of the Manager of the restaurant has me completely shocked!!!

Everything about this hotel was spot on. The only problem is the price, but what do you expect for location location location. We got one of the pool facing indoor balcony rooms. It has two rooms, one with 2 queen size beds and the other had a pull out couch/Livingroom. Large bathroom and lots of space was unexpected for a downtown hotel in the middle of all the action.

Awesome hotel at downtown Quebec City. A walk way from one of the gates of the walled city. Near all the restaurants and citadel. We also saw a live concert right from our balcony. The sauna and pool with hot tub was fabulous

I stayed in a really nice suite. Bed was comfortable, the staff was great, there's a nice pool that I'd like to try the next time I stay there, no snack machines though

Great location, very close to Old Quebec. The rooms were clean and spacious with good seating, microwave, fridge and coffee. The pool area is spectacular. We enjoyed the staff who were friendly and helpful despite it being such a busy time of the year.

Very clean. So close to Old Quebec. I would definitely stay there again. Our suite was a little odd as it only had one relaxing chair in the whole suite. A waste of space. Next time I would get a suite with a couch that overlooks the pool. Just a hint 😉

We had a wonderful stay here. The city view from our room was a perfect view of the entrance to The Old City and on the distance the St Lawrence and the top of The Hotel Frontenac. The staff and service were fantastic. In particular the The Front Doorman was extremely helpful and unbelievably nice I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone who asked

Quite a bit dated. Not a 4 star hotel. Great location. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Pool deck is dangerously slick. If this hotel had updates it’d quickly become a top hotel.

Great location. But everything else about this hotel is is just baddd. You would expect them to at least clean your room after you paid $450 a night? Nope, they will only give you clean linens if you ask like 5 times, but you will have to setup all of it on your own. And still no cleaning the room even if your room needs serious cleaning. Also dirty rooms in general and whole hotel smells of chlorine. Fix up the ventilation for god’s sake

If you are even slightly sensitive to migraines I would highly recommend not staying here. I haven't had a migraine in a few years, but the very intense chlorine scent from the pool in the center of the hotel triggered a migraine so we had to leave early. Just wanted to warn anyone who may have a similar situation!!! I see a lot of reviews here of people complaining about the smell in the lobby, I didn't think it would be an issue but it is.

Amazing experience at this hotel. Will return again. Walking distance to sites, restaurants and shops.

Well-situated, this hotel has big rooms with a small living room and French doors leading to the bedroom. We had dinner at the Beffroi restaurant located in the hotel. It is a bit more expensive but well worth it, especially if you are a meat lover. The hotel and restaurant staff are courteous and very friendly. It was a great experience even if it was for only one night stay. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a great experience at this hotel! Location was perfect, close to the old city and the skating rink next door was a nice perk. The staff was also great and we enjoyed time in the pool. There was even live music at the pool over the weekend! We’ll definitely stay here again.

The staff was highly professional and courteous. The room was cleaned. The air condition was not working. I contacted the front desk and in 7 mins we had an Enginner checking the AC system which was fixed 10 minutes thereafter. If we return to Quebec, the RP will be out home.
