Delightful stay at La Reserve, Saint Jean de Luz! The room was comfortable and well decorated. The hotel staff were friendly and the service was impeccable. We had dinner both nights in the hotel restaurant and the menu was delicious with beautiful presentation and excellent wine recommendations. Thank you!

Average hotel with poor service. Expensive for what is on offer. €11 for a pint of beer (Much cheaper in the main Saint Jean De Luz village. Bar staff - it seems the simplest of questions (do you have a food menu) caused confusion. No bar server after 23:00 (23:00 one evening and about 23:30 the second evening) No option for room service after that time either - unlike every other hotel I have ever stayed in. No evening bar menu - it is either dine in the main restaurant or choose from a small range of tapas (3-4 offerings) only other option is to eat down in the main town (5-10 minutes drive or 20 minute walk) For a hotel not to offer a bar menu or late evening drinks / room service in the day & age is surprising and also disappointing. When charging so much you should offer much more (€6 for a bottle of water) The location is good and the hotel is quiet but lacks on so many fronts. Food - only had the breakfast which was average ( dinning room is plagued with flies so would like to see some of the breads etc covered) Bar - slow / confused service, limited menu, sometimes rude when answering a question. Room - good size but wouldn't hurt with a bit of a make over / updating. Location - not bad if you are happy to commute to the near by town. I would be reluctant to recommend this hotel but if I did it would come with all of the above warnings. Note - the check in staff were very friendly and helpful my only issue is with the bar staff. Their training could be improved greatly.

Romantic and wild location. Not possible to go to the sea. Pool is cool as the climate. Even hot summers is a bit cooler. The restaurant is excellent gourmet style. Breakfast is a bit busy. Used family room and was large with a view. Town is near but better use car.

Every staff member at La Reserve was absolutely wonderful! Very kind and attentive from check in to check out! I highly recommend this hotel. The room, restaurant, pool, massage were all fabulous! And great quiet location close to the beach/boardwalk.

Just absolutely gorgeous Bed and Breakfest nestled in a beautiful & historic part of Philly, close to many tourist attractions. We were blown away by how welcoming and attentive the staff was. It felt like from the moment we checked in we were treated like family. The inn manager, Maria especially went out of her way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. During the weekend they make a killer breakfast that feels like restaurant quality. When we went they had swiss pancakes with fruit and bacon or a veggie omelet, both excellent! I assume it changes weekly. Weekdays have a continental breakfast which was still FAR better than you see at most hotels and still included a really good frittata. They were scheduling timeslots for meals (2 rooms at a time) as a covid pre-caution which was really nice (even though everyone we met was vaccinated). I enjoyed sitting and chatting with the other guests. We were in the Independence Suite (Included the bathroom), it was very quiet and peaceful the whole time. I cannot recommend this place enough! Support small businesses when traveling!

Very nice place, good atmosphere and good food. Great service as well. I strongly recommend the experience for families, groups or even for singles wishing to visit Sf Jean de Luz by themselves.

A lovely spot, with large gardens, perched a 15 minute walk above the town (and it's a pleasant walk too). Excellent staff and service: very good food and bar. Room itself could do with some updating, and it was not well provided with, eg, coffee, milk, conditioner etc.

Preferred the stay here than in St Sebastian. It’s only about a 30 min drive, and it’s much more pleasant place to wind down. Excellent service and excellent location. Highly recommend.
