First time to visit this place. We asked someone on our way in if we can bring Hero, our puppy, in and the lady said yes. We went on, came across a few security personnel throughout the day and all is good. Even asked the customer service desk for some directions and all is still good. We came back the next day and after a couple of hours, a security approached us to tell us that pets are not allowed. My face was like 😒 are you serious? I mean, okay, that’s fine, I understand but what changed from yesterday and today?!? Hubby said not to argue as we need to go anyway, but i feel a bit sad that puppies are being discriminated. 😥 as you can see he’s a tiny fella on a leash that couln’t hurt. And he’s hypo allergenic too. Fully trained to pee on pod and outdoors.

Halifax's main covered shopping mall is of a modest size but is modern and filled with natural light in certain sections. It has most major retailers that anyone would need and has an easygoing vibe. The food court is airy and has ample seating. When its rainy or snowy outside and you can't spend the day by lower water street or the boardwalk, I wouldn't mind hanging out here. Free wifi and parking.

The Halifax Shopping Centre (HSC) is a decent mall, however, it's very geared towards clothes shopping. If you need anything else your selection is very limited. The food court downstairs though had excellent selection!

This is a VERY nice mall. It’s always clean and bright inside. Seldom do you see stores that are under reno or empty spots for rent. It’s never been overly busy thank goodness. Parking garage on property and it’s free parking. I’ve never had problems finding parking near the door. Also the food court has great options. Lots of good stores here.

Nice mall with lots of shops and stores and nice decoration. Heated on the winter and has free wifi available for all customers. There’s also places where you can get food which is always really important. I like the parking too, there’s always space for your car :) My go-to mall in Halifax.

As far as malls go, this one is fine. It's got stores and hallways and food places, and really, isn't that what you want from a mall? There's no skating rink or anything like that, but I wasn't expecting one so I can't say I'm all that disappointed. I didn't need to use the bathroom while I was there, but I have no reason to believe they were unclean. If you are reading this review with the hopes of finding out about the state of the bathrooms, then I'm sorry to disappoint you- I simply don't know. The mall is well lit, but not so bright that you would need to wear sunglasses inside. You may want to bring them though, depending on what the weather is like outside, as it would be impossible for me to predict that at the time of this writing. All in all, I'd say that if you're looking for a mall, this one is as good as any you're likely to find in the immediate area, but that's just one person's opinion.

The remodel a few years ago has made this look like a new mall. The atmosphere is great. There's a variety of stores, although more seem of the higher end variety. The food court has a great variety. For the most part there's at least something I'll find when shopping or killing time.

One thing I have always liked about the Halifax Shopping Center is how clean it is. Caters to a very diverse segment of the population, but doesn't seem to have any of the issues you see in TO.

I enjoy the Halifax Shopping Center, it's so bright with all the new renovations. It has all the stores I need and use, so I don't have to go place to place. I prefer one stop shopping. It has plenty of escalators and elevators. The maps inside the door makes it easy to find where you need to go. The Food Court is beautiful and clean as are the washrooms. I have always found custom assistance most kind and helpful. It's quite large with 2 floors and the food court on the lower level. It's close to home and convenient. I can only think of a couple of stores they don't have that Micmall Shopping Center has. So I prefer to save the bridge fare, unless it's essential I go to Dartmouth. Of course if they don't have what you need in stock they can always check Mic Mac mall for inventory. I highly recommend Halifax Shopping Center. I just really miss the David's Tea and Second Cup. It has a lot and all the natural light is beautiful.

Halifax shopping center has come a long way. Always seem to be expanding and improving. Use to play second fiddle to micmac but has caught up and probably surpassed in regards to the quality of stores and experience.

Went to Winners looking for a new battery bank and Merino wool socks and they had a large selection of electronic accessories and socks but I was surprised that they had NONE of each since I am usually successful when shopping there !? Inventory is always changing so check weekly if you are looking for something specific since it may arrive next week !!

Great shopping center and they have done a good job of laying out arrows and directions to promote social distancing. Sadly there were a lot of idiots shopping today who ignore the arrows and spoil it for everyone.

It was great. A lot of people but not too many. I really went to mall walk a bit. Elevators were nice. We did not do all of the mall, there are several levels, we had a bit of a walk around, in a couple of shops then had a nosh in the Food Court. Was a lovely time.

Great food court. Security guards on hand to make sure that everyone follows covid rules. Cleaning staff wiping down tables constantly. I feel safe there.

Too many high end stores. Lawtons... Koodo, foodcourt very nice, bath and body works. Hardly ever go there even though it is closer to me thsn Scotia Square. Not a fan of Halifax Shopping Centre at all.

Had a lot of fun, all employees wore masks

No anchor store since Sears folded. But a decent selection of small chain stores. Food court is organized for social distancing. The markings in the mall reminded me a bit of the Twister game. You can't quite follow the arrows. And I found a lot of great shoppers didn't even try when it was obvious. Lots of good outside and covered parking.

First visit was good. Nice stores, social distancing and cleaning protocols are in place by the shopping centre.

I preferred it before the renovation. If you go, good luck trying to follow the arrows laid out on the floor. Whoever came up with that layout must be related to whomever laid out the streets in Boston. If you've been there you know what I mean.

This place has everything you could ever need and is accessible from literally everywhere. In fact, most people live within a 30 minute drive from the hsc. If you’re in town and need a place to shop, check it out you will not be disappointed.

Atmosphere is wonderful, quiet and very nice to be there. Lots to offer 270+ stores, all sizes will always find something that will be perfect for you. Options when it comes to parking, taxis in the same parking area which makes it for everyone driving or not. Wheelchair friendly as well.

My wife and I visited our favourite shopping mall , Tygervalley , on Tuesday 16th February , 2021 . We had last been there in March , 2020 , due to the Covid 19 Lockdown. We strolled around , as in the old days and conducted business. At Spec Savers we received a warm welcome and excellent service. At Game we were disappointed that there was no Information Desk . Needing to go to the lower floor to Pick 'n Pay Clothing - the lift was not available. The going down escalator was moving , but not the going up ! Needing to collect a Store Shopper card at Woolworths as advised on Sunday 14th. inst. and to cash in on Promotion Merchandise . We spent 90 minutes waiting for a Temporary replacement . We had previously raised the issue of lack of benches for the aged and tired customers - still not a seat in sight. We will visit Tygervalley again , as we love the shops , restaurants and the unique milieu

Tygervalley mall has the essential stores you are looking for, From grocery shopping to Clothing to restaurants and travel shops and tech stores as well. It has public transport entering the nearest entrance - bus and taxi and more than enough parking for your car as well. It can get busy but never overcrowded and that is what I love especially with the pandemic and having to be very careful and conscious of protocols.

I love the mall grow up going to this Mall. The stores are great and you will always find what you looking for.

Plenty of outdoor free parking although can be hard to find close parking in normal business hours. Mall itself is quite long and takes a while to walk from one side to the other. It does have multiple entrances though so it's quick if you know where you want to go and near which entrance it is. Paid outdoor and undercover parking is also available.The Game side lift has been out if order for a while which is a bit inconvenient for trolleys and prams but an escalator is available nearby. General look and feel is nice and I enjoy visiting there. Especially the food court. I also enjoyed some if the more hobby and entertainment style stores there that are normally unusual in most malls. Mall is clean and seems to comply with COVID requirements. Bathrooms and facilites are well placed, clean and hygienic. Overall a nice experience. Keep up the good work.

About the most popular place in halifax and perhaps Nova Scotia. I actually rated it 5 star not that it meets up with bigger complex inn Toronto or Calgary but because it is resourceful for it compactness. Store in it are doing great with there wares. It's is an exquisite place and pristine .

Power went off today. No communication. Probably beyond their control, but because all shops closed immediately it was nearly impossible to get back to the car, as the entry to the garage was through the SportsCheck.

Pretty inside but, not alot of the stores are useful to the average person. They need some furnishing and home decor, an actual sit down restaurant, and something dept store like... maybe a big homesense.

A beautiful place to shop here since they had a face lift. There are so many storefronts(businesses) here now which makes it much more inviting to a consumer. I also find the selection of restaurants with such wide varieties to my liking.🙂🙂🙂❣

Walking by a lovely lady gave me a sample, she then gave me another, she then talked my son and I into coming in... I really wasn't interested but she did my nail with a magic thing and my nail looks amazing. So I bought the deal. Really impressed with her sales ability and happy she stopped me. Stopped by this mall to kill some while waiting on another engagement. It was a very nice mall to stroll through! It appeared clean & well maintained. I feel like malls are a thing of the past with everyone online shopping, but there is nothing like a good trip to the mall to lighten your mood & your pockets! It’s new and very clean. It has good selection of stores such as Zara and Apple store. Food court has good verity.

Not too difficult to find parking. Mall is always night and cleaning looking. Air quality is good and it’s never too difficult to find where you are going. If you do there’s the information deck and they are always friendly. Staffing throughout the mall is usually helpful as well.

The parking lots are a bit of a hazard and spots are quite small. We were in a small truck and had a hard time finding a spot where we wouldn't hit someone else. Lots of amenities within walking distance and close to a bus depot.

Staff was very helpful and it's a very good layout. Online they said what I was looking for was sold out Online and in all stores. When I went in the department I was looking for, I saw what I looking for right away. I recommend this store, for all reasons!!

I don't shop at it very often as I find it too crowded for me. I did notice that it's very high-end brand oriented. If you look around at Mic Mac Mall and this mall, you will see a big difference in the type of stores selling their wares. The service is still the same, though.

Beautiful shopping experience with great brands like H&M, MAC, The Body Shop, Zara and Sephora. For families with children, the Children's Place offers a lovely collection for children of all ages.

not much there for a little guy like me.... bring people who like feminine things here though. the food court is also terrific. if you're getting bubble tea in the shop here don't order the ones with boba in, they're basically tasteless

I think this is the biggest mall in Halifax. There is absolutely everything here: electronics, clothes, dishes, food court, service areas... It is always clean and safe here. There are many guards around. Parking is free. It is possible to park both on the street and indoors. At this moment, the road surface is being repaired, be careful.

A beautiful and relatively large shopping mall. Reputed as the largest shopping all in Atlantic Canada..has a wide range of stores amd environmentally friendly . Clean amd well lit. It's car park needs a bit of renovation though, can quite dingy.

I really like this mall, lots of variety but I absolutely hate the way the food court is laid out for lines. There is no distinction between who is in a line up and who is waiting for food, it's also very crowded and people are always passing in between the lines. It's very chaotic and there needs to be an established line rope or something because people don't know how to form a single line. 🙃

To be honest, I really am not a fan of the HSC anymore. The layout is nice, but all these high-end stores they are bringing in definitely aren't in my budget range. I miss the stores that used to be there, such as Stiches, English Butler, Sears to name a few.

I'm not sure what all we bought there , but we picked up some cold bottles of 7-Up and Pepsi because their prices are the cheapest around for chilled pop , and we bought some extra bags there because we like Dollarama's huge green shopping bags the best .

When in Halifax, this is the place where everyone tends to land for their shopping experience. My favorite outlets are Zara, Sunglasshut and Sportscheck. Ohh yes, don't miss the amazing food court and try some delicacies.
