Very nice staff and great location; clean and safe with military police stationed right nearby. However, the food was pretty bland and the shrimp tasted frozen. Unfortunately, the best Baiana food is usually served at places less clean and safe than this.

Some of the best food we ate when in Brazil - the shrimp bobo is such a generous portion with tonnes of shrimp in it! Very tasty. I had an ice cream but it wasn’t really worth it. Otherwise, would highly recommend this place!

I have to mention the lady in the yellow dress, she must be a tour operator w/ (family of 4)- she was very demanding to the staff, and frequently was asking for things, my point being all the staff attended to her many requests without delay. This restaurant had the best moqueca I have ever had in Brasil, perfect mix of sizzling cooked sauce with crunchy bits on top and add their home made chilli sauce and you're in heaven. Their deserts have great ice cream on top. Their menu is pretty diversified so there is a bit for everyone. The service was great, they go out of their way to satisfy your every needs. For example they added an extra ice cream scoop so I could sample the crema sort on top of the coconut one. And they were happy to refill the chilli sauce (pimentinha).
