Amazing Hong Kong vibe with red signs and Chinese cuisines. Basically, go on the main road, see some alleys you like, go there, get good food, get out. So simple, yet marvelous experience. Try the street vendors, great food source with dirt-cheap price

Come in the day or night, each has its own charm and delights . Love the day for the dried fish maw stalls and the food offerings are different as well. In the night , the food stalls changes to another set of vendors . Back here 4 times this trip and returned for the handmade crochet bags. Sunday is a good day to come, not so crowded!

Streets are a bit crowded but there aren’t too many times where people fully stop so isn’t a traffic jam. Street food is as good as you would expect though make sure you check side streets before making any seafood purchases. There’s a Michelin rated soup shop, too, which was absolutely fantastic!

China Town in Bangkok is undeniably a gem, captivating visitors with its vibrant and lively atmosphere. Daytime explorations reveal a bustling scene, but the real magic unfolds at night. The streets come alive with an array of street food stalls offering an incredible variety of culinary delights. From savory to sweet, the diverse food offerings make it a culinary adventure worth savoring. The energetic ambiance and rich tapestry of flavors in China Town create an unforgettable experience that shouldn't be missed while in Bangkok.

Lots of affordable street food, from the normal ones to the extreme! Various shops available from fashion, souvenirs to traditional Thai holistic medicine shop. This district is packed with people especially at night, so be prepared for the noise and excitement. Rich with Chinese culture without having to go the country itself. One of the place can’t be missed when you’re traveling to Bangkok.

It is rather interesting. It is like a travel back in time to older overseas Chinese street style. It is like a selection of New York China Town mixed with Penang (Malaysia). Lots of street food (and gold shops), usually more alive in the evening, I have been told. Do keep an eye on those side streets; a lot of lovely places for coffee too.

China town, last time I visited 6 years ago, it felt more authentic. This time, I brought my husband, and it was nice but very much the same same stalls, It's, of course, a must to come and see Chinatown once the sun sets. Don't come here with a stomach full of food 😄 we found scorpions and crickets, but they were much harder to find than last time I visited. How about Wheelchair ♿️ accessible?! It's very easy, some getting used to walking on the streets sharing with pedestrian and cars. - Thai traffic can varie but so far, we've had no issues being on the road sharing with cars.

Very interesting area to visit with a lot of hustle and bustle. There are many good vendors. One of the restaurants was a bit of a let down. Seems like in a lot of places you get reheated food. A lot of the times it is served mildly warm. It is a great experience with a lot to do and eat though. The street food seems way better than the actual restaurants.

Plenty of people, many things to do and see but we didn’t find anything to eat because it was very dirty. The whole street was smelling bad, so I would recommend you to have a tiger balm with you and use it under your nose. I saw locals doing it and then I understood why 😅 if you go around 6pm you will be able to see the sunset 🌆

Visited 27/01/2024 Cooling Saturday Evening. The following sharing are based on our unbiased personal opinion and experience We took the country lost efficient transport to Chinatown. And we were glad we made the right choice. Once we are near to Chinatown traffic start building up and only the bike can passed thru. This was the first time I experience suck a huge crowd in Chinatown. Barricade was set up on the road for pedestrian walking. The queue was crazy long and everyone is walking shoulder to shoulder. We didn't ate much this time round in Chinatown but we manage to grab some drinks and dessert to enjoy by the roadside. We always believe to do what the local do and eat what the local eat. 🍲 Follow us for a gastronomic experience and discover the world finest in its purest form

I was in Chinatown, Bangkok during the Chinese New Year celebration.. the entire street was lit up bright... And so many street food options.. it was also very crowded but everyone was in a happy mood, taking pictures, eating street food.. you can reach there by the metro, fairly simple. Spend the evening eating local cuisine.. it's a paradise for non-veg eaters...

A great day out in the Chinatown area. We were fortunate to be there for the vegetarian food festival and Chinese national day. It was great to see the dragons out on the streets. We also enjoyed the Wats shrines and street foods as we wondered through this historic district of Bangkok.

The best area to stay in Bangkok. It's like the whole Thai cuisine is packed in this chunk of the street. There are new types of street food every time I come back, so it's always interesting to walk this area and explore new things.

Such a lovely place to walk around and wander in Bangkok! Definitely come hungry so you can enjoy the various street foods. Most, if not all vendors also accept cash only too.

Beautiful, hectic, super-busy Chinese neighborhood. You can find lots of different shops with unique souvenirs, various restaurants that offer Chinese delicacies, and so much more. For taking photos, it definitely looks better with all the lights on at night.

One of the places that must be visited when we are in Bangkok. Come in the afternoon after 6pm. You will find the area very busy, hectic and full of people. There are so many street food, both main menu, dessert or snack. You will also easily find cannabis here, either drinks or cookies and brownies. There are also shops selling medicines and souvenirs. On this busy street there are many foods that are featured in the Michellin Guide. Don't come on Monday, because almost all tenants are closed

When I came to this area I was very taken and touched by so much poverty and vulnerability and the absence of hygiene almost everywhere. The area is instantly recognizable with its huge red Chinese billboards. Being here is an experience in itself, to see this environment and breathe in the warm air here in the middle of the day and hear the bustle. I got a kind of feeling that I was in China.

Chinatown is the best place to get popular food and cheap food. Ate a lot for the past few days there and if you’re buying snacks back to Singapore that’s the best place to buy as it’s very worth and the people there can communicate well in Chinese if you don’t know how to speak Thai or English well.

Initially I was so skeptical about visiting this place and I thought there was nothing to do here. Trust me you will simply love this place irrespective of your food preference. There is so much to grab on the go, the sticky rice and pan cake is a must try from these places. However be careful of what you choose to eat and ask them to explain the main ingredient. Have fun can spend around one to one and half hour.

One of my favourite Chinatowns to visit in the world. It is livelier than most, and really crowded (but that's part of the experience!) Stall owners are really friendly as well. You get super unique food, and the scents as you walk past each stall and lane change, adding to the whole Chinatown experience!

China Town in Bangkok is a vibrant, bustling neighborhood that's like a lively Chinese market. You'll find delicious Chinese food stalls lining the streets, offering tasty dishes to try. The area is colorful and filled with interesting things to see and buy, making it a great place for a stroll. However, it can get super crowded, especially in the evenings, which might not be everyone's cup of tea. But if you're up for the excitement and want to sample some fantastic Chinese cuisine while soaking in a unique atmosphere, a visit to China Town is a good option when you're in Bangkok!

Chinatown, also known as Yaowarat, is a vibrant and bustling neighborhood located in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. As one of the oldest and largest Chinatowns in the world, it offers a unique and exciting experience for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in the city's rich cultural heritage. To get to Chinatown, you can easily take a taxi or a tuk-tuk from various parts of Bangkok. If you prefer public transportation, you can hop on the MRT (subway) and alight at Hua Lamphong Station, which is located near the entrance of Chinatown. From there, it's just a short walk to the main bustling streets. One of the main attractions in Chinatown is the vibrant street food scene. As you wander through the narrow alleys, you'll be greeted by an array of enticing aromas and mouthwatering dishes. Don't miss out on trying the famous dishes like roasted duck, crispy pork, and the delectable dim sum. Exploring the street food stalls is a delightful adventure that will truly tantalize your taste buds. Beyond the culinary delights, Chinatown also offers a glimpse into the Chinese cultural heritage. The streets are lined with traditional Chinese medicine shops, goldsmiths, and countless market stalls selling everything from colorful silk garments to intricate porcelain wares. The area is particularly lively during the Chinese New Year celebrations, with vibrant decorations, dragon dances, and firework displays that fill the air with excitement and energy. The atmosphere in Chinatown is electrifying. The streets are constantly abuzz with activity, and the neon signs illuminate the night sky, creating a lively and captivating ambiance. The mix of Thai and Chinese cultures is evident in every corner, providing a truly multicultural experience. The friendly locals, bustling markets, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life make Chinatown an enchanting place to explore. Exciting and chaotic fun in this crazy night market. We had various fun and tasty things to eat. Special mentions to the crispy pork. Also to the spicy grilled squid that was so hot it made us all cry, but was still amazing. It's a very festival atmosphere and very hectic. If you don't like noise and crowds, give this a miss. If you like chaos and food, you're in for a treat.

Definitely go to China Town if you’re in Bangkok! Make sure you catch the transition from day to night there as well, as it’s incredible to see how the main road transforms from the day time, with regular shops and vendors, to the Night market - bustling with people, dragon costumes, neon lights and street vendors. China Town also has one of the best street food in Bangkok and you can find a lot of Chinese delicacies as well (plus some Michelin rated food vendors). There are a lot of beautiful buddhist temples in the area as well. Shops are also quite interesting and you can find unique products here.

Most Chinese part of bangkok. At night this places glows. The neon lights with Chinese writings gives this place a good view. Here it's filled with Chinese food shops, street foods as well as big restaurants. All Chinese foods are sold here. It gets crowd at night. Many people walk the footpaths and eat street food. Good place to hang out if you are interested in Chinese cuisine.

This is one the most amazing neighborhood in Bangkok you can’t miss it. Actually is more than one, it depends on the hour you decide to visit. China Town on daylight is different than in the night where lots of street foods “restaurants” open to attract local and foreign customers.

Visited during Vegan festival 2023. Various options of food were available and most of them were delicious. It's expensive though. Toob-tub was the most impressive. Next year, if you had a chance and had no allergy to peanut, you should try.

Visited on a weeknight so the street was not closed to only allow pedestrians. The atmosphere is amazing. It is hard to go to any public places in Bangkok and not experience the smell of delicious food. Anything that you can imagine and more. Fantastic experience.

SO BUSY!!! There's so many tourists that it's difficult to move. There are still cars driving through as well! I do love all of the traditional medicine shops, and of course all of the food! An hour was plenty of time there though! I don't usually get claustrophobic but there were THAT MANY people there! And, it's still hot at the end of November. Worth the visit? Yes. Try the rolled noodles at the Michelin guide restaurant!

This place is definitely worth a visit. Every time I fly to Bangkok, I go to China Town, and it doesn't disappoint. There are many food places and things to buy. I always find something new. This time, I found a street vendor selling a coconut ice cream. It was perfect for the heat of Bangkok and super delicious.

Lots of cool restaurants and shops. Restaurants charge tourist prices and food quality will vary but in my opinion it's worth it for the ambience alone. Really surreal to be in the heart of such a busy city. Wonderful!

Having explored various Chinatowns in different cities, China Town Bangkok left me with a moderate impression. While it's worth a visit, it didn't quite capture the vibrant allure I've experienced in some other locales. It's pleasant but lacks the flashy charm I've encountered elsewhere. But I have to say, I visited during the week in low season. So this might be different for you! :)

Very bustling place at night. The Kway chap at this stall is soooo good. I like the small portion. Leaves you feeling satisfied and room to eat other things. Across the street, you can find shark's fin soup (I know, it is cruel, no more next time) and bird's nest soup. They are yummy.

Chinatown is actually quite a huge area, probably extending beyond Yaowarat Road. I prefer Chinatown in the daytime, as are plenty of famous Chinese cuisine and Michelin Bib restaurants. There are also all kinds of markets and temples. Chinatown at night is pretty much concentrated along Yaowarat Road with its sidewalk food vendors starting their business. Most people dine here for the atmosphere.

This is the best China Town we have been to in comparison to Tokyo, London and New York! By far the best and most animated place. This must to be top of your list if you are visiting Thailand and Bangkok! We found it far more fun than other famous street's of BKK.

There simply aren't enough words to describe Chinatown, which is undoubtedly one of, if not THE, places I adore in Bangkok. Here you'll find the largest Chinese community outside of China. This place is brimming with life at all hours of the day. Chinatown is a captivating blend of tradition and modernity, with charming shops and establishments lining the riverbanks and labyrinthine alleys. There are daytime and nighttime markets, delightful street food, gourmet restaurants, hidden bars, art galleries, and so much more. And let's not forget the incredible festivals celebrated here, leaving you with unforgettable memories. Chinatown is the place you keep coming back to for a thousand amazing reasons. I absolutely love it ❤️

Went there during the vegetarian festival. Pretty crowded but a great experience. Lot of street food, tasted many of them and were great. There are so many restaurants for Chinese food, spices, tea and coffee shops, toys shops etc. Very nice place for cheap and tasty food and shopping. Went toany alleys and were very crowded. They were selling so many Chinese cheap items.

Always here to visit the 林真香🐷 shop, buying the porridge and the fried dough here. Very bustling with the tourism back. With several visits to bangkok, this place seems to be the only place to sell the fried dough (炸油条) with kaya. Its super good, McDonald’s have it too but the texture just can’t be compared to the street food one. Lots of seafood restaurants here too. This place is more tourist friendly as more people can speak Chinese here.

One of the best places in Bangkok, Thailand if you like a real crowded place, jam-packed with street food vendors selling all kinds of food made of living creatures with 2-feet, 4-feet and even those without and more than 4 feet creepy crawlers. Try to take a bus from the Asiatique, and you will appreciate the walking in Chinatown even more.
