Very fancy looking hotel in a building with a long history. The building and public areas are well kept and are very clean. The pool is near the top of the building so you can get an astonishing view at the top. It's also conveniently located on the river walk for easy access to restaurants and gift shops. It's also in a central location so you almost never need to ask for your car from the valet service. The staff are very friendly often greeting you whenever you pass by them, and even starting conversations with you in the elevator. Breakfast and dinner is provided, as well as 3 free adult beverages. The hotel rooms themselves are nice a cozy, the beds are pretty good but they tend to shake if the person you're sleeping with moves a lot in their sleep. This is honestly one of the best hotels in the area, so if you're a tourist this is a great place to come.

Hands down the BEST hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff has been so friendly, our room was very clean, and we feel very safe and comfortable. Wonderful for kids. Free breakfast, light dinner, popcorn, and drinks. Really helps families stretch their budget. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs, but the best is exploring all of the nooks and crannies of the Hotel. Great views and sunsets. Balconies and decks to relax. Walk out to the Riverwalk and not far from the Alamo. This a great base for exploring the city. I highly recommend this Hotel!!!!

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! We loved this hotel! The rooms were nice and the roof top pool was amazing, as well as the view from the terrace. One of the security guards even showed us around because this building used to be an old bank. The vault is still there in the basement! The free breakfast and happy hour (including 3 adult drinks) just topped off our fun visit here. We'll definitely be back.

The employees, and I mean all of them from parking to housekeeping to front desk were over the top helpful, kind and welcoming! The amenities are really awesome, especially for people with families. Our room was clean and very comfortable! The outdoor rooftop pool is one of the best in San Antonio and We've been going 40 plus years to celebrate our anniversary. This year was 45! We were treated with a room upgrade and a bottle of wine! I love the history of this place too! The lobby is magical, like stepping back in time!

Excellent variety of food available at both breakfast and the snack/dinner buffets. Note that the eating area gets a little crowded, and the 5:30-7pm line for the free drinks from the bar is very long, especially earlier on. Feels a lot like an all-inclusive resort or cruise cafeteria during meal hours. Fantastic rooms, and the building is gorgeous. Clean tub, comfortable beds - even the sofa bed in our suite was nice! Great view from the rooftop pool/hot tubs. Very easy access to an indoor pool and the Riverwalk. No problems with either valet service or luggage storage for a few hours after check-in. Overall, we felt like the staff would do anything and everything we needed, but most things were already taken care of without us even needing to ask. Rachel, the breakfast hostess, was especially warm and friendly. So glad we decided to splurge on a nicer hotel for my kids' first trip to the Alamo - easily walkable.

Breakfast and dinner included on my package. Free drinks at happy hour. The jetted tub was worth the extra fee. Reasonable valet parking compared to the neighborhood. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. 10 plus for the employees !!! Only detracting factor room was a little worn. Chair had seen better days. Altogether tho worthwhile stay for the expense. Shout out to Rachel who was working breakfast on Wednesday and Thursday. She had so much enthusiasm and positive energy it brightened the morning and helped me start the day out in a good note.

Stayed at this hotel the last week of May 2023 for just one night. It was exceptional! The location is perfectly situated in downtown San Antonio right along the river walk, very beautiful. The entire building is kept very clean as is the room I stayed in which was spotless and had great views and a large balcony! On the reservation we noted that we were visiting on our honeymoon and the manager personally checked us in, wished a big congratulations, gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, and upgraded our room to a very large king bed suite complete with jacuzzi for no extra cost. Now THAT’S what I call above and beyond service! Also have to mention that the breakfast and dinner that are included in the room price were decent, not the highest quality food but tasty and filling with lots of variety none the less and the service staff were so friendly and welcoming to everyone. Three alcoholic drinks included per adult guest at dinner, a fabulous way to kick off a fun evening on the town! Truly this hotel is fabulous and I tell you, don’t look any further for a place to stay if you’re visiting San Antonio, you won’t regret!

Fantastic hotel! Service: the staff is kind and attentive. From check-in to waitstaff to maintenance and everyone else, they always are happy to greet you or assist in any way. Location: right on the river walk in a classic great looking historical building. The rooftop has a pool and one of the better views of downtown. Amenities: complimentary breakfast and dinner with drinks will save you a lot of money if you choose to eat at the hotel. I found the food to be good quality and always stocked. The hotel bar has good food as well for a fair price. The valet parking is is pretty good as you can text or use an app to call your car before you leave the room Rooms: our room was clean and pretty spacious and the bathroom was nice. Elevators can be a bit slow but not excessively. Overall: I’m very happy we booked this room. It was in a great location downtown with a great staff making our stay pleasant. I would quickly book this hotel again if I stay in San Antonio

Great stay experience. Free breakfast and dinner buffet ( they offered the first alcohol drink too but I remained sober 2 yr+ and proud of continued sobriety .) Easy access to river walk at basement level. Good indoor pool. A hidden gem at the top level terrace to oversee the city. Nighttime can be a bit noisy hearing from the singing crowd probably on the boat of San Antonio River. Interesting anyway:)

Several very notable substandard aspects to this hotel. - the dark carpet in the room was badly in need of a deep cleaning. Leaving an odor in the room. - the room had bugs; one brave soul crawled into a cup of fruit I was eating that I briefly set on the table - anyone staying in the Fernando tower must take two elevators with a walk between, and the walk between is not climate controlled. - I asked the front desk to hold an arriving package for me and I would pick it up; they told the Amazon delivery person that I checked out and the package was returned - the two queen suite with terrace/jacuzzi was very dated. It had some broken furniture. And the furniture that was there was very old and odd. There were four or five large wall lockers—can’t imagine who needs that amount of storage (we had four travelers and couldn’t even dream of filling one.) - we departed after one night of a five night reservation due to the above issues. - the restaurant (which does not do room service) is very overpriced and chicken Caesar salad was pretty embarrassing - with parking and fees, the per night cost of our room (“suite”) was almost $300. There are many far better options at that price point in the city with comparable locations. - I don’t really co-sign that the evening reception or breakfast is “free” — it’s baked into the room price. As such, the evening reception seems lacking. The non-beer drinks are abominable.

ALL employees were SUPER HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY! We were there for our wedding anniversary, and they gave us a bottle of wine to take to the room...NICE TOUCH! The morning and evening buffet were nice, free happy hour was great (not watered down), and again, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean, everything we needed, and remodeled nicely. Valet parking was on point, just be sure to give them a few minutes to get your car. I sent the text 20 minutes before leaving, and my truck was out there waiting on me. When we go back to the River Walk, this will be out place!

We chose the right hotel. Far enough from the party area of the river walk, but just around the corner. Daily, free, breakfast and dinner/cocktails. Wait staff is fabulous. A special shout out to Rachel who had pointers for everyone. Room was fantastic. Shower excellent (we are tall people, so above our heads is great!). Pools and hot tub nice and clean. Wish we had found the 9th floor patio sooner.

The hotel hosted our family/corporate event this past weekend with 50+ rooms and 100+ guests. Everything was great. The property is beautiful, spacious, clean, and in a great location. The staff were professional, accommodating, and attentive; in both the booking/reservation process and during the weekend. The caterer - Signature - they recommended had great food and service for our meetings. The free breakfast and the KickBack evening drinks and food were a hit with our whole family, especially those with small children. It was a wonderful experience for us all.

The hotel is great, but the hospitality is excellent! Annette, my favorite for cocktail hour, was so awesome and friendly! Clayton and Alex were a perfect start to our stay in valet. So happy with the room, but the people are who make this hotel so special! We will be back because of the excellent service. You don’t find this level of customer service very many places anymore. Everyone here was great.

Wonderfully preserved building with modern amenities. Renovations were excellent, I hope they continue to do a great job of maintaining the original bank details, while modernizing necessities. The safe deposit boxes in the Teller bar were an awesome touch. Staff was kind but seemed a little over worked(I blame COVID). Hospitality team was awesome. The rooftop areas, (yes plural) we're beautiful. Great views of an expanding metropolitan area. If you stay here, be sure to view the original bank vault door and other antiquities on display on the river level .

I stayed here this past week for company training. The hospitality at this hotel was phenomenal! All the staff were very friendly and greeted us throughout our stay. For this hotel to be aged and with a very interesting history of once being a bank it was extremely clean and intact. My room was great! No complaints at all! Breakfast was the same all week, but it was always hot and fresh. The kickbacks in the evening were nice, really enjoyed those. The location is amazing, right on the riverwalk. Walking distance of restaurants, bars, and shopping. One of the people in my group had a discrepancy at check out, however the General Manager Mr. Garcia was able to get it cleared up. He was professional and ensured we had a smooth check out. I’ll definitely stay here again while visiting San Antonio.

If you are considering staying at a hotel downtown, then this is a great option! We have stayed at a handful of hotels downtown, and we stay for 5 or 6 days at a time. Here is why we like this hotel and why we will most likely stay here again in the future. Not only is it a great location, but the rooms are spacious as well. Our room even had a patio, which I thought was cool. The hotel also has a speedy valet crew, which is very important for us in particular. They have free breakfast every day, and it is pretty good! Yes, we would like bacon, but it is not a big deal considering they do have plenty of options. The hotel has an indoor pool/hot tub, which I enjoyed on a rainy day. The rooftop pool is on the 23rd floor and has 2 hot tubs. I used them often and really enjoyed the views while relaxing. You get three free drinks a day, every day. How cool is that? That is very smart of them. There are also great drinks, thanks to Annette. She is really cool, so consider leaving a tip! Some of my favorite spots, like Pinkerton's, 1Watson, and Domingo, are walking distance. Our room had a large refrigerator, which was great for us, considering we stay for a week at a time. Our room got COLD, every day. We have even stayed at a very high-end hotel in town where the room did not get cool enough for our comfort, and it was tiny. Drury Hotel also has a restaurant/bar called Teller's bar, which has some great food options, including pizza! The Majestic Theatre is also across the street. 😉 The only thing I can think of that could be better is offering room service because Teller's doesn't open until 5 and adding bacon to the breakfast. It really didn't bother me much considering the location and amount of free food options. Overall, we definitely recommend this hotel and will be back. The pictures posted are mainly the views from the rooftop. Shout out to the valet. 😎🏨✌️

Great hotel and close to the Riverwalk. Prices are affordable, and room walls aren't paper thin. I couldn't hear my neighbor which is very nice. Also included with the hotel is free breakfast and dinner along with popcorn and fountain drinks throughout the day. My stay was in December, so they had it fixed up quite nicely. Staff were friendly and helpful and if I'm not mistaken, the valet was free. Just make sure you tip these guys as they get your car quickly and are very professional. Overall, it was a great stay and I will always stay at this hotel while I'm in town.

Second time staying here and it was great. Christmas was the first time and this time New Year's Eve. Great service bar and dinner was great. Morning breakfast was excellent. Valet parking was very convenient, great service! Loved the easy access to the River Walk. The only thing is that elevators did take long, I guess taking the stairs would have been an option, but not for us being in the 9th floor 😅Overall our stay was wonderful! ❤️

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We had an amazing time. The staff are always polite and extremely helpful. Would like to acknowledge two people in particular. Mauricio in the dining area is always very pleasant and goes out of his way to make sure the guests feel welcome and comfortable. Epiphany at the front desk was extremely helpful with us and very polite. Will definitely be staying here again.

My family and I recently stopped by to visit! As a caretaker of my parents, I truly want to take my time and say I’m so happy I got the pleasure to meet Raymond since he truly helped me with all the random trips I needed with the car!! I’ve never had such caring and great valet experience as he offered!! I will for sure trust more into valet thanks to him. The hotel rooms were really neat, clean and ready for us when we got here and super easy to access everything!! I love it here.

The breakfast buffet is superb. And the dinner "kickback" is very nice. It's a full meal, buffet style. A main dish, a couple sides, salads, and drinks. It changes nightly. The room service was great. Nothing was missing, she even folded some clothing my kids left on the couch, and made up mine and my daughter's need with a blanket we brought with us.

Stayed here for a business trip per a recommendation from a colleague. Happy we made the choice to stay at this great hotel downtown! It is an older historic building that has been renovated multiple times throughout the years. The food provided which was free breakfast and dinner was excellent! Annette knows how to make the best drinks, be sure to give her a tip at happy hour with those three free drinks!

I always love staying here. Drury Plaza is my #1 pick when choosing a place to stay. Breakfast/dinner always great plus the 3 complimentary drinks 🍸 makes for an enjoyable time. My only downfall this last stay I was charged incorrectly for the parking garage. When checking out and asking for assistance the manager I'm assuming was not very helpful. Lisa the person I talked did not seem like she wanted to solve the issue. When later on I called to check about the issue they said I would get a call back. I did not. I had to reach out again to find out more information. Amanda was able to assist me and provide the information I seek.

Honestly, this is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. I kept looking for dirt and there wasn't any! The staff was outstanding! The hotel is beautifully restored and has a gorgeous open design. There is a happy hour with food every night and a breakfast every morning. Both are included in your stay. I would probably give the food 3 stars. It isn't gourmet but it's decent. I would absolutely stay here again!

  • 5/5 Sharon T. 5 months ago on Google
I think this has been the best hotel stay I have ever had! I can’t believe it’s only rated 3 stars. I have stayed at the Moody Garden Connection Center in Galveston that is listed as a luxury hotel but this hotel is so much better! The staff are out of this world amazing! Every person we met was so helpful, cheerful, and went out of their way to help us. The breakfast buffet (included by the way) was phenomenal! I can’t wait to stay here again!

The entire staff was friendly and helpful! From the girls at the check in counter, to housekeeping, valet, and everyone I chatted with during my stay. The hotel felt safe as I traveled alone, appreciate the use of the hotel key card to access the ground floor elevator and entry doors. Room was clean, housekeeping staff great with changing the towels, making the bed, and emptying the trash daily, Maria even tucked the end of the toilet paper roll under to create a neat triangle. 😀 And Albert and the valet team! Imagine my surprise after checking out, that my car was not starting with me being 5 hours away from home. They were so nice and patient, especially considering they had many visitors and were quite busy at the time. Finally after about 1.5 hours of multiple attempts, and the team jiggling wires and what not, it started! Their genuine concern that I make my journey back safely, in the middle of their hectic workload made an impression on me. Well I made it back guys!!! Thank you all so much. In today's fast paced society with so much happening around the world, the staff here made my stay feel like home, and I cannot say enough about their kindness and hospitality. Thank you, and I will definitely recommend others to your establishment.

Wow! That says it all. This is a beautiful hotel with ample room space, beautiful architecture, and GREAT AMENITIES! in addition to an indoor pool, there is a rooftop pool and two Jacuzzi to enjoy. The complimentary breakfast and dinner offerings are quite good, and the spacious dining room reminds me of dining in a large hotel. Well situated fir walking where you want to go in San Antonio.

The hotel was nice, great location! I just wish we had a better view from our room, for the price I would’ve wanted a better view for sure. Not impressed by the pool. Breakfast was good. The best part of this hotel was valet service, hands down.

  • 5/5 Rachel R. 11 months ago on Google
This is the best service I have ever gotten at a hotel in my life, and I am not young! From the valet service (which is only $39 for the night and you can leave your car there after you check out if you want to walk around some more or go eat) to the housekeeping staff and the staff that clear your table for the free dinner buffet... every single person went above and beyond to be of service. My mother had just had eye surgery and was on medication and the housekeeper remembered which room she was in and kept guiding her back to her room! Note: we were only there for ONE night for mother's day weekend. Truly amazing to encounter nothing but helpful and friendly people, and really made our weekend so wonderful! Thank you to all the staff and the management must be doing something right to retain such amazing employees and keep them happy!

Good hotel. Pricey but worth it if you make the breakfast and happy hr drinks/food! Clean rooms. Nice beds. Had a living area, which was nice. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and also basement leads to riverwalk. Valet makes it much more enjoyable. The view from our balcony was nice!

Although it is an older building, it is in very nice condition. Our room / suite was really nice. We has a 2 queen bed small suite on the 19th floor with a great view of the city. The hotel amenities were in great shape. The service was excellent from everyone that we came in contact with. The included breakfast and 3 free evening drinks / food were really quite good. The location is great, it opens right onto River Walk and is a short walk from the Alamo, the Tower of the America's and lots of things to see and do.

  • 4/5 Adrienne W. 1 year ago on Google
I had a king room here, it was large and clean. Bed was comfy. There are a lot of things at this hotel that are kind of dated in appearance, but the service at this location is amazing. Staff went above and beyond out of their way for conference attendees to make us feel comfortable. Free breakfast and free happy hour is something many people can get on board with. Selection of treats was good. Lots of space to congregate with friends. Cool historic building with direct riverwalk access. Everything was convenient and cost effective.

LOVED this hotel! First off - THEY HAVE CEILING FANS! That’s enough in itself for the five star rating. 😂 The staff was awesome, rooms were clean, and the complimentary breakfast/dinner options were great! Plus the three complimentary drinks were perfect after a long day. Highly recommend this place! I’ll absolutely be back.

We booked this stay for a birthday trip for a weekend. Upon arrival we had an issue with one of the cards we were using to pay. The manager Larissa came over to assist and promised us that she would figure it out and still checked us in. She did figure it out and went above and beyond again to help us fix it. Our room was on the 10th floor and I am afraid of riding elevators. I hadn’t rode one since 2011. She had no problem going around to open the steps for me but the group I was with was encouraging me to get on as she was standing there. She finally said Do you want me to ride with you? And she did. She went above and beyond her responsibilities as a manager to help me combat my fears and worries. Her and her crew were amazing in everything that they did. They were so friendly. She surprised the birthday girl by getting her crew together to sing happy birthday. This hotel offers breakfast, a 5:30 kickback which is dinner, and a happy hour every night where you can get 3 free alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. Overall it was a great trip. I can definitely recommend this hotel for anyone to stay at. To Larissa, Mauricio, Tammy, Roosevelt and everyone else name I am forgetting thank you so much for your nice southern hospitality and a great stay!

The rooms is too small and bit outdated. The bed was soft and comfortable though. The hotel over all is ok. It has hot tub and rooftop pool which was super cool. 1 of the Hot tub was dirty though with lot of dust and hair in it. The observation deck on floor 22 gives you some awesome city views. They included breakfast and evening snack and drinks in our booking. I could hardly enjoy it as I don’t enjoy typical breakfast but if u enjoy typical American breakfast it had plenty of options. Drinks looked good and people seemed to enjoy them too. The place was always clean otherwise. I am giving 1 extra star for their staff. Every person we happened to interact from staff was super friendly and they were always happy to help. If you want to enjoy customer service, go here. We saw them singing birthday song for people over breakfast too. People are super good. Location wise this is on quieter side of river walk. 3 star for hotel and 4 star for staff and service!

Had a wonderful experience at the Drury yesterday just for a short meeting. Albert greeted me at the valet parking garage and was very polite and knowledgeable. Gave great directions and explained how to request my car from my phone when I was ready to leave so there was no wait. The hotel is beautiful and a great downtown location for meetings.
