Yosemite one day tour has been wonderful experience with the multicultural/multi nationality group, which is the true spirit of San Francisco. The trip was very lively, entertaining and enjoyable. The best part of this tour was our lady tour guide and driver Denise. who is excellent guide and driver as well. she has been giving continuous commentary through out the trip. Her commentary and description of places were extremely informative mixed with great sense of humor. 5 star to her efforts in making this trip extremely pleasurable and memorable . If you are visiting San Francisco, this trip with Extranomical tours is highly recommended.

This review is LONG overdue. We took this bus tour from downtown San Francisco to Yosemite Natl. Park before the tragic fires of late in the area. We were lucky that (like the description on the website says) conditions WERE right, and we were able to tour the area of the Giant Sequoias, Swinging Bridge on the Meadow Loop Trail, and get so close to Yosemite Falls that we could almost touch it. The website is pretty easy to navigate. Determine where you want to be picked up, purchase your ticket(s) and you're done. You ride for an hour and half or so before your rest stop, at which time you'll be able to stock on snacks, and other necessities. This is a LARGE grocery chain (can't remember the name) and if you can't find it here ... including an umbrella, you must not be looking hard enough. Same trip in reverse on the way home. As far as the park goes, well, let the pictures speak for themselves. My wife and I travel LOTS. We have been all over the United States, and this was some of the top 5 scenery we've EVER witnessed. Enjoy! Good job Extranomical Tours!

We had a great time visiting Yosemite Park last Monday. Our tour guide was Denise and I am so glad we had her. She was knowledgeable not only about the park but also the history of every place we visited. It was definitely a treat to have her. She went above and beyond trying for all of us to see everything eventhough it was somewhat challenging due to some construction going on in the park. We felt very safe with her driving around the mountains, that is one thing for me that makes me really nervous. But I felt safe and her narrative of the history made me take my mind of it. I will definitely return and recommend this tour to my friends and family and hope that the get Denise.

I did their Yosemite day tour and I had the best time ever. Denise was our tour guide and she's just a gem. You can clearly tell she adores her job, and she knows everything about San Francisco and Yosemite. She even gives you tips on Netflix documentaries to watch and people to follow on Insta. And she's the sweetest ever. Her recommendations are gold. Highly recommend taking a tour with them!

OVERALL: this is going to be one of my entire life'slst memorable experiences; everything went smooth, and it truly was an experience of a lifetime, all in one long day, that just flew by and never felt stressful GUIDE: Roman provided wonderful commentary, but much of the ride was quiet and you can read or listen to music and just enjoy the scenery, but he explains all the important bits in an easygoing manner and you can tell how he loves the park; TOUR CONTENT: you'll see many of the most fantastic sights the park has to offer (Sequoia giant trees, Yosemite valley view with Halfdome and El Capitan, a walk thru the valley...), and at each you'll have time to walk around and explore on your own; it's a long day, and certainly packed, but never felt really rushed or too crowded, it was just right. He also stops at a few minor spots for photo opportunities apart from the main stops. DRIVE / BUS: Roman was driving fast, but felt very secure on the road, he clearly knows every corner, felt very safe; the bus itself is quite uncomfortable, so if you have back issues or so, take caution: there are no curtains, so the sun will directly shine in all day in full strength, the seats are tight and narrow; take some neck pillow or so best (all pics taken on the actual tour)

We visited Yosemite National Park with Extranomical Tours. It was a comfortable journey thanks to their experienced driver who also doubled up as a tour guide, educating us about the place and keeping us entertained throughout our journey. Bonita our guide showed us a few of the best spots in Yosemite National Park like the Yosemite Falls, Bridal veil Falls and El Capitan. However, we couldnโ€™t visit Giant Sequoia that was closed due to heavy snow. We were also given 2 hours of free time to explore the sites around, which I felt is a little less for a place like Yosemite. Overall it was a great experience with them and I highly recommend it.

Tour is long but the views are priceless, Denise our tour guide was all above expectations. She was full of knowledge in every department, every question. Driving skills let me tell you, excellent. I have a current CDL license and she handled our bus in the winding roads, cities, interstate and let me tell you she made it look easy. In the last leg back she played a movie about this solo rock climber that climbed the El Captain. Looking at that mountain while she explained and then watching the movie, the hair on my back rose an inch. This tour is a must, yes it's long, lunch is from a grocery store but was perfect.

Been to a couple of tours in the states and this is by far one of the best (Yosemite Tour from San Jose) and much of the credit goes to the tour guide, Denise. Sheโ€™s knowledgeable, passionate and goes beyond her scope to share with us different stories and history, including the water problems in California. It was a long drive and she kinda took on the mission to keep us entertained along the journey and honestly. Certainly much thoughts have been put into it and it made the long bus ride much more bearable. Definitely recommended. Thanks for the lovely tour, Denise.

Did the day tour to Yosemite. It was a long day but definitely worth the views. The tour was smooth and we got to do multiple stops along the way. Sarah, our guide was amazing and knowledgeable. One thing to note: the company changed their pick up location on me twice, once less than 24 hours prior so make sure to check your emails!

Itโ€™s been a week since my tour and I still canโ€™t stop talking about how great it was! I had Rob as my tour guide and he really went above and beyond. I will say that finding out that we werenโ€™t seeing the Sequioas so late wasnโ€™t ideal and the company should have informed us but outside of that Rob was a great guide. He made the trip a true experience. We were able to see all that Yosemite had to offer and then some. Iโ€™ve gotten so many compliments on the pictures I took because Rob pointed out all the best places. Iโ€™m definitely going to recommend this to my friends and family.

Fantastic Tour - I booked the Muir Woods/Wine Tour for our anniversary trip. Alberto (I believe) was a great tour guide, funny, and very informative. I would highly recommend!

Rob was the best tour guide, I loved all his stories and information. At the start Rob would tell us how long we would drive before the first restroom break, then advice us to buy enough food and water to last us for the day, especially enough water for the walk to the giant sequoias. Rob stopped and many spots to let us take picture perfect photos and was a willing photographer also! It was a perfect day with an exceptional guide & driver.

Tour starts with the pick up of everyone going. Long if you are the first person. Took about 45 minutes to pick up everyone. About an hour to Muir Woods. Lovely park and woods. Then 45 minutes to first winery, Ru Vango. Super nice! Lovely tour and wine. Short and sweet with time to walk around. Then 30 minutes to Sonoma town, quaint and tons of restaurants and shops. We got in and out for lunch but I would recommend a reservation. Tasca tasca was nice and friendly. Second winery has a great band, wine was mediocre. It was muscardini. Third winery was lovely, Mayo Family. Wine was good but your was long winded. Last stop was quick to take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. Took almost 11 hours overall. Driver had interesting facts but also just talked some of the time.

We booked the Muir Woods, and wine tasting tour. From the moment we got on the bus, to the moment we got off the bus, our driver and tour guide, Roman, had us in stitches!!! He was so knowledgeable, witty, and funny, that it made tour so memorable!!! We might forget some of the things we saw, but we will not forget Roman!

We went on the Yosemite tour, the bus didn't look like anything luxury, however the seats were really comfortable for such a long journey and the AC system was brilliant! We had Don as our driver, he was wonderful, told us the most fascinating stories of absolutely everything from his experiences in the area and some incredibly interesting ones about gold rush towns and places we were passing by, he was very comical! Yosemite itself was amazing, Don stopped at every place he could so we could get out and enjoy our time, we even made it to the sequoia hike, Don isn't joking when he said coming up is hard, however it's still very doable and our group seemed to encourage each other getting back up, we saw deer so close down there so it's worth it! He made plenty of stops for toilets breaks too. The only thing I wish the tour had was maybe a 15 min stop in Mariposa as it has some great gold rush town architecture which was right up my street, maybe its something that could be added on in the future, but it was honestly the best trip I've ever done in my life. Extremely good value for money, fantastic tour, views and tour guide! Couldn't recommend enough!

Roman was an excellent host of the wine country and the Muir woods. He talked the perfect amount throughout and was approachable and very knowledgeable. It felt like his explanations were more of a conversation that we were all involved in. He was super punctual and helped to keep us moving while also allowing us the space needed to enjoy ourselves. He drove safely and was willing to provide us with recommendations for things outside of the tour. If you want to quickly peruse the wine country and see some incredible trees you should definitely take this tour.

Yosemite National Park tour with Andy Howse was fabulous! Andy is knowledgeable, kind, & honest! He is the perfect guide. The scenery was so beautiful it seemed unreal, but it is real. El Captain, the waterfalls, & for sure the BIG SEQUOIAS! Fantabulous tour & guide. Andy is off the charts great at what he does.

Thanks to Roman, the San Francisco to Yosemite tour was beyond our wildest expectations. The best driving, jokes, and sites that California has to offer. We will be recommending this experience to all of our family and friends and will never forget this day. Also, I highly recommend hiking to the Falls Lookout, but bring waterproof hiking shoes and make sure you have 4 hours+.

We would have loved to leave a review for Denise on the website but we booked through a third party. Nevertheless, Denise was absolutely wonderful!! She made the day easy and smooth while making the most out of our time. Denise is also kind and so informative and you can tell she loves her job!!! No regrets with booking with this company!!!

We decided to take the Muir Woods and wine country tour on a recent trip (our first) to San Francisco. The tour began with a visit to the majestic redwoods in Muir Woods, followed by visits to three wineries in the Sonoma Valley to sample their products, a terrific vegan lunch in Sonoma, and a short stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for photos. Our tour guide, Doug, was knowledgeable and informative. Throughout the tour, Doug provided information about the local landscape, the native Americans who once called the valley home, and a tremendous amount of information about the grapes grown in the area and the wines produced. I recommend the Muir Woods and wine country tour to anyone, especially first-time visitors to San Francisco.

We had a great experience! Dustin was an awesome and fun guide to Muir Woods, Napa and Sonoma! Would totally do this trip again. I appreciated the communication prior to the trip and the fun atmosphere created by Dustin!

We were long over due for a family vacation and the Redwoods and California Wine Country tour delivered! Our tour guide Doug was amazing and provided a fun and informative experience. The beauty and peacefulness in the woods makes you stop and wonder why we don't take more time for ourselves to experience such a wonder. I would highly recommend this tour. Do it for yourself - you deserve it!

I liked the tour but it was not very covid safe. I wish the company would have required vaccination proof while booking or boarding. Or if the mask mandate was enforced on the bus (a lot of passengers took their masks off on board) - a reminder that they could get kicked off for not complying would have gone a long way, plus not allowing passengers to eat on board. I would recommend the tour but only once masks are no longer necessary, maybe next year.

Great tour company! We booked a tour on our last day in CA to Yosemite. Very last minute! Josh on the phone answered all our questions and made us comfortable with booking. On the actual tour, our tour guide Parker was fantastic! Great driving skills and great facts about the park! This tour isnโ€™t filled with fillers and waited time in stops. Itโ€™s straight to the point, one 25 minute stop both ways to grab some lunch and dinner. Lots of time in the park! Best experience for the price!!

I am writing this review while I'm still on the bus on the way back to San Francisco from Yosemite. I had a great day visiting Yosemite with Trish of Extranomical tours! she was very informative and entertaining throughout our tour. Yosemite itself is breathtaking and like nothing I have ever seen before. I would highly recommend Extranomical Tours to anyone visiting the Bay Area! it was an excellent experience! Thank you Trish!

The van drives dangerously slow, which creates a hazard for other drivers. Van TCP #36854-A, 1741-A in particular needs to drive faster. It did not take any of the numerous pull outs around the mountain so that other drivers could pass.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Overall this was a great way to experience Alcatraz. From the moment we got on the boat, to the moment we returned from the island, it was fun and educational.
