The things I enjoyed most about staying here: great location within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and sires. Our room had a gas fireplace that was in working order and we enjoyed it daily! Great complimentary robe for your stay! Breakfast burrito bar is vary convenient with fresh food daily. Coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave in the room for extra convenience! Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Great location right across the street from old town. Easy parking right in front of our room. We had a room with a private courtyard which made travel easier with our dog. Room was quiet with no room above. Breakfast was kinda meh. Nice amenities in the room like, fridge, wet bar, microwave and robes. Would recommend and stay again.

Clean but older building. Very close/walking distance to downtown. Breakfast was poor with the "basics" but coffee was real good. If the breakfast was bigger and better it would have justified the price of the room.

I am perplexed at how high of a rating this place has. Upon checking in and getting into our room, we immediately regretted not booking with the previous hotel we'd stayed in during a prior visit to Santa Fe. The most positive thing about Old Santa Fe Inn is its location. Other than that, I was not impressed by the rooms (albeit relatively comfortable and clean). It was chilly in our room and we saw that there was a fireplace, but after trying to ignite it multiple times, it would not work. We called the front desk. They came and said the pilot had blown out but they'd get maintenance to fix it the next day. That never happened, so we stayed chilly. The breakfast was not good - the best thing that I got there was a bottle of Tropicana orange juice. There were about three hot options - all preprepared in packaging: an omelet with "cheese" (cheese was awful and didn't taste like real cheese), a breakfast burrito, and a breakfast sandwich. Once you told them what you wanted, they just took it out of the package and heated it up in the microwave. Felt like the service I'd get at a gas station. In another review, someone stated that they were served scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and sausage at breakfast. We did not have any of those options during our stay. Our previous hotel that we stayed in served a delicious hot freshly made breakfast each morning and the menu changed daily. It was just a drastic difference that we did not see coming. There were no happy hours or any extras which was expected for the price we paid. We also saw several weeks after booking our reservation that the price for the room had decreased but at that point, it was too late to change. Would not stay here again.

Such a cute little hotel! We chose a balcony room and we have a small glimpse of the mountains off in the distance and the balcony is pretty big. The fireplace in the room really ties the perfectness all together. Clean bathrooms too. Very private room and a remote control heat/ac unit. Also is walking distance to the square and lots of food and shopping

I have stayed here twice. Once in the fall in a King room with fireplace and once in a double room with fireplace after a December snowfall. The first time was before the renovation and the second time after the renovation Both times, I have enjoyed the heated bathroom floor, this is a great perk when it's cold out. If it's winter, I would definitely get the room with a fireplace. Gas logs and it does out out some heat. The location cannot be beat, kind of midpoint between the Railyard and the plaza/O'Keefe museum. Literally did not have to drive anywhere since these areas were my focus. Breakfast is included and it is not bad, plenty of good coffee and options, though I would say the biscuits are a bit heavy. Staff is very nice and got to talk to the Kitchen Manager who is a wonderful man. The only ding I have is the somewhat nonsensical daily "Resort Fee". I know that many local hotels charge it. It is visible when you make a reservation but to me it comes across as a money grab and not in a good spirit. This hotel refers you to the La Fonda gym and there is no sauna/spa services. I would rather this be reflected in the base price of the room, but ... anyway, despite my objection to that, I will probably stay here again because of all the good aspects. Also, now La Fonda owns this property so who knows if they will f'k it up and make it as unaffordable to most of us as their namesake place. Hope not.

The rooms are really lovely and spacious and warm, and this is in the perfect location. But the breakfast is pretty bad, and limited: Raisin Bran and limp bagels (the breakfast burritos were not on offer when I went). I’ve had the same breakfast at a budget hotel half the price. If this was remedied even a bit this overall experience would be much better ! Otherwise, highly recommend.

We LOVE Old Santa Fe Inn!!! I got married recently and several of our guests and family members stayed here. (I also stayed the night of the wedding and had an incredible suite.) The rooms are absolutely charming, with comfy beds and pillows, and gorgeous art works on the walls. Their complimentary breakfast was great and the staff extremely helpful and accommodating. The downtown location was close enough to be convenient, but also quiet and removed from the crowds. Free, ample on-site parking. Highly recommend!!!

The breakfast was extremly poor. No eggs, no bananas and since the hotel is going through renovation, well, the breakfast area was kind of sad, I would imagine after renovation the experience may be better, but this for me was very dissapointing. I was happy to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room so I was able to store my breakfast groceries or leftover dinners. The room would def benefit from having a little dining table by the fireplace, it would make it so cozy and convenient. The location was good as not in the heart of downtown, but a couple of blocks away which made it quiet at night. I loved having a park across the property. The rooms are dated and the AC wasn't working propertly so we got a bit warm at night. If it wasn't for Santa Fe's good weather I would have been complaining so loud.

Another month and another great stay. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. The renovations only compliment the true Santa Fe experience you expect when staying here

We were looking for a place to stay that captures the feel and style of Santa Fe, close to the center of town, and at an affordable price. The Old Santa Fe Inn exceeded our expectations. Authentic architecture with tasteful decor throughout the complex that is clean and well mantained. Surprisingly comfortable beds, spotless bathroom, an excellent hearty breakfast, and very helpful staff. Amy and Kristen were a pleasure to meet. "Hospitality from a simpler time," is their slogan, and the Old Sante Fe Inn delivered on that promise. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this charming and quaint little Inn! The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the room was excellent—especially the fireplace with the big old armchair next to it! The breakfast was fabulous too with a great selection for every taste with fresh fruit, eggs, grits, waffles, cereals and baked goods. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again next time I’m in Santa Fe!

I had a group of 8 rooms I needed for a trip to Santa Fe. One of our travelers was very interested in this property after reading some reviews online. I contacted Old Santa Fe Inn and they confirmed rooms were available. They said since my group was somewhat large, I could not book through reservations and I had to email a 3rd party (guy named Ed Pulsifer). I did that and never heard back. I called the property a few days later and they told me a manager would arrive in about 15 minutes and give me a call. They asked me to forward my email to the Front Desk address which I did. I never received a call back. I called in the next day as I was fearful rooms would get booked up as we approached our trip date. They confirmed they had sent my email to front desk, and I was given Amy's email address (GM of the property) to send my details too, which I did. Amy never called or emailed me back. After being consistently ignored via email and voicemail over multiple days, I called general reservations again and explained everything that had happened. They confirmed for me that by this point in time, rooms had been booked and they could no longer accommodate our entire party. They were very apologetic and told me they would email Amy the GM about what had happened and cc me. That email was never sent. Avoid this property at all costs. The only possible way I can get a reply from them is by leaving a poor review on Google. It seems they are interested in responding to those.

Lovely hotel very close to the tourist district. Parking was convenient and easy; the room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and quiet; the breakfast was not very good. The packaged tortillas were a travesty.

We stayed here the 24th of September for one night. We just tried to pick a hotel near everything. As you know sometimes it’s a hit or miss… This was definitely a hit! It was perfectly located to the plaza, shops and food options! The room was comfy, the soaker tub was amazing and the fireplace was a great addition to the room. I highly recommend this hotel. Check in was quick and easy and they gave me a map and recommended places to check out! If you are in the area I would definitely stay here :)

Good hotel with great location. Plenty of parking that is included. Walking distance to delicious restaurants. Site, building, and room were clean and tidy. Next time I'm in Santa Fe I plan on staying here again.

A long week of meetings was made so much more comfortable by being able to start my day with warm smiles accompanied by a great breakfast and ending with time sitting by the fireplace and winding down after a long day. A quick trip to the Plaza to see all the holiday lights and great food choices!

Cute, clean, cozy Inn. This was my first time staying at an inn, I typically do large hotels but this was the best choice. The fireplace made it so cozy and housekeeping did a thorough job!! The location was in walking distance to Santa Fe's "downtown" and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only one negative would be the breakfast, it was very basic and the biscuits were always cold, but because of their location you can get a great breakfast at Cake's Cafe!!! Everything else was great. One more positive was the cookies they left out were excellent!!!

My family has been staying at the OSFI for over 9 years during the holidays and on many getaway mini vacations and we have absolutely loved every stay....until now. We've experienced the new owners and their many changes they have made over the last 4 years.....and they are still making changes. Staying here made our time in Santa Fe so much more meaningful because of the authentic Santa Fe hospitality, but that hospitality has definitely changed. The greatest change is the breakfast. What and how they serve breakfast now just blends in with any other hotel in town: commercial and not unique. We are sad that we can no longer have this unique experience at the OSFI. The location is great for those who love walking to the Plaza and having a parking spot for the duration of their stay. However. The rooms need upgrading, which one of the managers let us know that is in the works for this year. I just hope it does not look like the standard commercial bathroom of a Marriot or Hilton. The "Hospitality from a Different Time" motto the OSFI is becoming less authentic and we are sad to see this happening to such a iconic place in Santa Fe. The bar and cafe idea they plan to install this year turns me off as well as the TV's that are always on in the lobby and breakfast room which have taken away from the charm this hotel once had. The bussers tub that is left in the breakfast room is unappetizing. The staff are pleasant enough and very accommodating, but it's the atmosphere of the previous owners we thoroughly enjoyed with their homemade breakfast, cookies and the lovely atmosphere of being away from TV's and such, even for just a moment. It really felt like we were in a special place, but not anymore. I am very sad to say that this may be our LAST memory at OSFI.

I heavily base my ratings on the staff performance, and while the Inn itself was well maintained and comfy, it was the staff that will bring me back here. All were welcoming, kind and extraordinarily patient, given some of the more challenging guests I watched at the desk. The location is perfect--an easy, short walk to the center of all the action in Santa Fe. The room was clean, tidy and had ample parking. I was traveling with my pet and the crew went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for a relaxing visit. THIS is the way you get guests to return: excellent management and hiring friendly, helpful people. I will make this my Santa Fe resting spot when I travel there. Great job Patrick, Amy, Heaven, Sadie, Cynthia and anyone else I failed to mention!

Paper thin walls in #16. We're staying here for the NMFMA conference for two nights. Night one we can hear both rooms at whisper. I don't understand how people are giving this place a "quite" review? Room needs an update along with Carpet. Bathroom is tight while parking spots are tighter. It's clean. Bed is comfortable. No problems checking in. Second night in and same problem. Neighbor is watching a movie at a reasonable volume (I say reasonable, because I could hear his phone conversation through the walls without issue. He was not yelling). Other neighbor is on a work call. It's 1030 and no chance of sleep in the future. 10/10 do not recommend because of the walls. The movie was Ironman, by the way.

This is a very quaint hotel. The rooms are cozy. I've never stayed somewhere that had big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was nice. The hotel is walking distance from Santa Fe Plaza and the Round House. Its a nice walk.

Had a lovely stay for our anniversary! The inn was very cute, charming and clean and the staff were all so nice. Really enjoyed the fire place in our room specifically! There is free breakfast also and it was pretty standard fare. Also the location was great, we could pretty much walk anywhere we wanted to go downtown. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely visit in Santa Fe and enjoyed the Old Santa Fe Inn quite a lot. The room was comfortable and the staff was very nice and accommodating. And the location is amazing -- an easy quick walk to the plaza and centrally located to everything else in Santa Fe. Two disappointments: we had really looked forward to the breakfast burritos but they turned out to be pre-packaged and microwaved. The rest of the breakfast was pretty boring. And we paid extra for a "junior suite" which wasn't much of a suite. Next time we'll just do a regular room and make other plans for breakfast. Other than that, however, we had a great visit!

We enjoyed our short stay here and will plan to return. The traffic noise dies down at night. Conveniently located for walks to the plaza. Lobby is being renovated so we avoided the limited breakfast. Clean and comfortable!

Charming hotel with an excellent all inclusive breakfast and Starbucks coffee. Rooms were very clean and we enjoyed sleeping with the fire on all night. 5 min walk to downtown Santa Fe! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants access to downtown Santa Fe!

The staff is first rate. The room was clean and beautiful. Gorgeous shower. It was really nice to have a fireplace in the evening. We will definitely be coming back.

We absolutely loved staying here! Great staff ( shout out to the lady on night shift that got us a great room last minute!☺️), clean rooms, an amazing hot breakfast with Starbucks coffee, evening cookies, perfect location, to downtown shops & tourist attractions. We will be back!

Didn't stay here but I did book and had multiple conversations with different staff members. Everyone I spoke with was kind courteous and professional. We regretfully had to cancel our reservation and I hope to have an opportunity to stay here next time we visit. Thanks for the great service and kudos to your staff for all its service!

Perfect spot so close to everything. Staff was friendly and so helpful. The room was lovely. I had a king with fireplace. I'll definitely be staying there again. I believe they offer a breakfast as well (i missed it).

Pretty cool hotel. It's a quaint 1 story establishment with a motel kinda vibe, but it's clean and offers free breakfast. If I can only learn how to properly make a breakfast burrito...

  • 4/5 Marc P. 2 years ago on Google
The location is very good (within easy walking distance of both the main square and the Railyard), the room was nice, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was solid - all for a price that was a decent amount cheaper than other nearby hotels. My only compliant is they put us in a room that was right next to one of those doors that you push the horizontal silver bar to open which was very loud and woke us up as people started going to get breakfast at 7AM. If you can request you can request a room away from the entrance to the reception area, you should be good.

The inn could use some updating, but the location was great. We had a patio for our little dog and a fireplace in our room. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

This place is perfect! My husband and I came in for our anniversary and were really impressed. The location is only a short walk to the plaza and the breakfast was fantastic! The rooms were clean and spacious as well. We will definitely be staying again for our next trip to Santa Fe!
