Avoid this restaurant, or at least their daily menu. The meal is bad quality, also looks different from a la carta you can see on the images. Example for allis the gallego soup, having 1 small round piece of chorizo, and was half volume as it is on the image. Service is slow, maybe because there is one waiter for 28 seats in the terrace.

Very disappointed at the low quality of the food. This is my first review as the owner points out and he states this is suspicious. He is correct it is my first review but I was pushed to make it as I have never been so disappointed before. This first review indicates my strong dissatisfaction with the quality of the food. There was very little fish or meat in the paella and it was mosty rice and very bland. I notice some other reviews criticising the paella so I am obviously not alone. Hope this clarifies the matter. Perhaps the owner will take genuine criticism and seek to improve things. My experience of reviews is that a restaurant can have many good reviews and still be very poor.

Unfortunately me and my group (group of very nice people and mostly woman speaking Spanish) were treated like trash. Food was ok, service horrible.

For the menu (12,-; 13,- for the terrace): portion sizes are on the smaller side and wine is watery. Waiters rushed us a bit. Paella was tasty however.

Menu del día is a fair deal. 12 € for entry plate, main course and coffee or dessert. One drink included (beer, wine etc). Nevertheless, the quality could increase.

Portions were generous and prices are good, but i was disappointed by the paella. I found the meat to be quite dry and it tasted rather stale. the melon/ham and chocolate cake dessert was fantastic though, and the staff and service was great.

I had the hake, Galacian style. It was extraordinary, the large chunk of fish firm, fresh, delicious. The sauce and accompanying potatoes done just right. For seven euro this was a great price as well. We will return.

There is only one sign to be needed and to be recognized. If the chief in the kitchen is this kind of a women (remembers me to my childhood of my grandaunts, who cooked the dishes), than... great cooking, delicious food. Obrigado, Thank you, Gracias.

The place for local to have lunch menu in weekdays, which includes one starter, main dish and drink. Check it on the pics. Cheap, fresh, fast.

Nice Café/Bar in the heart of Santiago de Compostela run by a very friendly owner! Paula is heart and soul at the Gaiola. I swear, never got such a tasty biscotti - even better than biscotti from my mom (Sorry Mom 🤗❤️) . Next year, I will come back, when I arrive SDC.

We had just arrived after a long trip by car and this place did the trick. My kids weren't huge on the food (they're little) but the grown ups thought it was great!
