👍👍 I have been training there for 3 months and it was amazing. If you look for a club where you can improve your level, it is the place to be. The 3 trainers are very complementary: some focus more on technique, others on cardio, but you will for sure be better session after session. Prices are similar... People often mention training, trainers, Thai, Muay, time, good, gyms, friendly, great, session,

I have been training there for 3 months and it was amazing. If you look for a club where you can improve your level, it is the place to be. The 3 trainers are very complementary: some focus more on technique, others on cardio, but you will for sure be better session after session. Prices are similar to the rest of the club, but if you decide to pay for one month, it will be cheaper than any other club in BKK. Cardio, punching bag, Paos, Sparing, Abs, stretching... The training cover everything. Finally, those who manage the club are fluent in English, don't hesitate to talk to them if you want a special program. They are also very interactive on facebook, you can send them questions on their page, they will reply quicky. Remark: if you don't have a very high Muay Thai level, it is useless to search and train in professional muay thai gyms, they won't take care of you much, as they are focus on those preparing for muay thai fights, plus they don't speak english which make it mote difficult (already tried)

I have been training here for three weeks, and I'd like to share a few observations: The training regimen here can be quite repetitive. It typically involves a cycle where you start by skipping rope for 10 minutes, move on to the heavy bag for one or two rounds, and then transition to pad work for four rounds, with each round lasting for four minutes. After each pad work round, there's a set of 10 push-ups and 10 sit-ups, followed by a short break. This routine has been consistent every time I've trained, without exception. I've noticed that female participants tend to receive more attention than male participants. Despite being an intermediate Muay Thai practitioner, I haven't had the opportunity to engage in sparring or clinching sessions in this gym. The typical sequence for guys, including myself, appears to be bag work, pad work, and then it ends. The exceptions are two or three very advanced male participants who have had some experience with clinching and light sparring. However, if you're a female participant who have some fundamentals, the trainers are more than willing to volunteer themselves to spar with you. For me, my primary goal is to regain fitness, so the repetitiveness of the training doesn't bother me much. I've received valuable guidance from a few trainers who corrected my techniques and helped me improve. On the other hand, there are some trainers who simply shake their heads when I make mistakes but don't make an effort to correct them, which can leave beginners feeling somewhat lost. On a brighter note, there are some cute kittens in the gym, which is a pleasant bonus for me.

Awesome Muay Thai gym with experienced, friendly and accommodating Trainers. There are 4 Instructors. The workout is pad work intensive and you get to do min 4 rounds with different Trainers. Feel free to walk in and ask for a training session as they don’t have a fixed time for lessons. Highly recommended. Equipment like hand wraps and boxing gloves are available for you to use. They have chilled bottled water on sale too. Just come Your workout attire.

It’s affordable (400 bht per one group training) and worth the price. Trainers are professional and involved. Probably, comparing to other gyms, the equipment is a little bit old but for me it was ok. Thai boxing is not about shiny gloves. Moreover I would it recommend to everyone, not only beginners.

I have tried more than 10 gyms in Bangkok and Pattaya and this one is the best in my opinion. The trainers are caring, very professional, and actually teach you and care about you not like in most gyms (and they are also so funny). They do their job with passion and not for money. No matter if you are a complete beginner or someone professional, they will adapt the training for you! It’s suitable for everyone. The gym is also very affordable compared to most gyms in Bangkok (5900 baht for 1 month unlimited trainings, and 400 baht for 1 session). It is located in Sathorn military base and it’s in a very quiet and relaxing environment with nature and many cute cats! I love it.

Me and my partner had some great training sessions here. The gym is located at an army base, surrounded by greenery and very open and clean. The teachers give you good technical advice and provide a very intense workout at the same time. They are friendly and tough at the same time ;) thanks a lot!!

Very friendly environment. Had my first Muai Thai training here. Cost is 400bhat/session which is a lot cheaper than other gyms. Though coaches are professional fighters, they are still very friendly towards beginners.

For 400 baht you get 1h30 of mostly 1 on 1 training, depending on how busy it is. Trainers are great, can communicate in English and very friendly. Really great gym for beginners.

There is nothing better than learning Muay Thai in Thailand. If you are into mma or any martial arts, this should be a stop on your trip. Great instructors, great value for the money at 400 baht for 1 and a half hours. They adjust to your skill level so that it's just right for everyone.

Went yesterday, loved it, going back today until the end of my stay in Bangkok. Great ex champion teachers with a great friendly attitude!

Great experience. Super friendly people, old school style with really close attention to detail from trainers. No frills just classic Muay Thai from seasoned and knowledgeable older coaches. A weird location to figure out at first maybe, it’s actually inside the army base.

At Mankong Phranai Muay Thai Gym, you discover more than just the art of the "Eight Limbs"; you uncover the strength and resilience hidden deep within yourself. The trainers, with their years of experience, have an uncanny ability to see potential where you might see none. They push you, not just to be a better fighter, but to be a better version of yourself. Sweat, tears, and sometimes even blood become symbols of progress and determination rather than signs of weakness. The camaraderie within the gym walls is palpable; everyone supports, uplifts, and grows together. Mankong Phranai is not just a place to train—it's a sanctuary where spirits are lifted and dreams are forged. Five stars barely scratch the surface of what this place has meant to me.

Awesome local gym that hasn't been "americanized". REAL Muay Thai experience with trainers that care about your technique, rather than running you through a cardio session.

teachers are nice and fun, and the training area is outside, which brings lots of trees and a cool natural feeling. equipment is in good condition, and price isn't that expensive. ❤️

If you are searching for a gym to do a Muay Thai fight camp, look no further (reach out to them through Facebook). The expertise and commitment the trainers have to the fighters here is hard to compare. Mankong Phranai gym is the best kickboxing gym in Bangkok!! I want to the thank Kru Air and Kru Dai for all of their time spent with me, I have sweat like never before and feel prepared to go back home but am already looking forward to my next trip back to Thailand. I have many good memories of my time at this gym and want to say thank you a million times🙏🙏🙏 -- นกฮูก

Great gym for beginners. Visited with six friends and the trainers gave us a hell of a workout while teaching the basic techniques. Would highly recommend! Tip: use the Line messaging app to contact Ann at the phone number listed on their profile and website. Her English is great and she was super helpful in ensuring trainers would be available (even last minute)

Every time I'm in BKK i train here. It's exactly what a MT should be - outside and simple, with trainers that push you just enough to be absolutely exhausted at the end, while adjusting to your level. Can't recommend them enough! Location may seem hard to find the first time, behind the fence of the military compound, but don't let that put you off!

Went here for over a year. I really enjoyed the low key vibe and one on one training. Sometimes the trainer just destroyed me, other times we worked on technique, every time I left feeling like I got my 400tbh worth. This gym is one of the things I will miss the most about Bangkok. If you need air conditioner and high gloss attention, pay 1000tbh and go to some mall gym.

I've been training at Mankong Phranai for more or less two years now. I've been trying out some other gyms before or in between but have always been coming back here. It's smaller than other gyms and might not look as 'professional' as some of the big ones but the training you get is just as good. The trainers usually really try to communicate with every student, try to see your level of experience and then will adjust their teaching style accordingly. If you come more frequently they will remember you quite fast and try to work with you on improving your overall skills. Moreover making appointments is rather easy via Facebook or LINE messenger and the coaches and owners are just really cool and friendly people. Very much recommended.
