The first Ghazwa, the first Islamic battle. The Battle of Badr was the first large-scale confrontation between Muslims and the Quraysh. More than a thousand men engaged in the battle, which lasted hours and resulted in a decisive Muslim victory. Six years later, the Quraysh in Mecca peacefully surrendered to an army led by Hazrat Mohammed صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم . The battle led by "Ishq" , "Wafa", Allah Pak sent Angels led by Jibraiel AS who helped but first Muslims bow down before Allah & ready to sacrifice each & everything. Hazrat Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم pray that these 313 is ready for Shahadat (sacrifice) if they lost than no one read your name here. Muslims all night in pray to Allah. Than Allah helped them. Till today All Badari Sahaba is on the top and matchless.

This is the Battlefield where the biggest victory of Muslims against their strongest enemy. Most of the powerful personalities of Arab world were hell died by a small army consist of very few Muslims, like 313 with no proper weapons. There is enough parking space available around the wall of Battlefield. This Battlefield is now cemetery of all the martyrs and great monument of martyrdom. There are some handcart shops available for visitors.

An enlightening accomplishment! I finally visited an Islamic historical site that could educate many people that they can overcome any battle - physical, mental or politico-economic- if they place their trust in Allah. Badr - a little town that bears testimony to one of the many mental and physical battles endured and defeated by our Beloved Prophet Mohamed ( may Allah’s prayers, peace, and blessings be upon him) …to share a more civil, humanistic, fair, and peaceful lifestyle to local tribes (of that time) and ultimately the world. The battlefield has evolved into a little town with well-lit streets, fields with children playing and families enjoying their picnics, surrounded by swathes of lush green date orchards. The sunset call to prayer starts on a cool and breezy November evening (winter in Saudi Arabia). As the melodious sounds echo over the town - The Battlefields of Badr - I’m delightfully reminded that this is symbolic of the victory of the Muslims. Our Beloved Prophet Mohamed ( PPBUH) and 300 Muslim civilians won the battle against the 1000 big, brutal, and well-trained anti-Islamic soldiers. A battle and a victory that bears testimony to the Muslim’s trust in Allah. It bears testimony to their wit and wisdom, smart strategizing, courage and confidence, determination, firmness and forcefulness in confronting the enemy. It was an immensely challenging situation. Mental and physical challenges similar to this still has currency today. Let’s take inspiration from the Muslims who fought in the Battle of Badr. Let’s take inspiration from their trust in Allah. Let’s take inspiration from their courageous and wise attitudes, … so that we can meet the gaze of our internal and external battles - be they physical, mental, politico-economic, or socio-economic.

The place is surrounded by mountains and mostly barren land. There is Masjid Al Areesh just next battleground where Prophet SAWS fixed his tent. This place has huge significance in Islam.

I have to state that as a muslim I loved it. As this is the place where the most important battle of early Islam was fought. There are 14 martyrs of Badr that are resting here. All pilgrims should visit this site and give their salam to the martyrs and make dua. There is a fence being built around the cemetery. For anyone else visiting there is not much of interest you will only see various graves surrounded by a fence. There are some old ruins near the area but are in a real state of neglect.

It’s a very surreal and emotional 🥹 place to visit where the first of the Sahabas became martyred in establishing Islam and its message. They were the chosen ones to pave the way for the rest of the Sahabas. This is where Islam gained its first victory over the idol worshippers.

Subhan Allah The Battle of Badr (Arabic: غَزْوَةُ بَدِرْ Arabic pronunciation: [ɣaz'wat'u ba'dir]), also referred to as The Day of the Criterion (Arabic: يَوْمُ الْفُرْقَانْ, Arabic pronunciation: [jawm'ul fur'qaːn]) in the Qur'an and by Muslims, was fought on 13 March 624 CE (17 Ramadan, 2 AH),[2] near the present-day city of Badr, Al Madinah Province in Saudi Arabia. Muhammad, commanding an army of his Sahaba, defeated an army of the Quraysh led by Amr ibn Hishām, better known as Abu Jahl. The battle marked the beginning of the six-year war between Muhammad and his tribe. Prior to the battle, the Muslims and the Meccans had fought several smaller skirmishes in late 623 and early 624.

The battle of Badr was the most important and the first major battle the Muslims fought. On Friday 17th Ramadhan 2 AH, the Muslim army, which numbered around 313, faced an army of 1,000 of the Quraysh. Through the help of Allah, the Muslims emerged victorious.
