Morningside Park is a hidden gem nestled in Scarborough. Its sprawling greenery, serene atmosphere, and well-maintained trails make it an urban oasis. Perfect for families, joggers, and nature enthusiasts alike, it provides an excellent escape from city life. The park's barbecue and picnic facilities make for memorable gatherings. Its ravine, bubbling creek, and diverse flora and fauna add to its charm. A visit to Morningside Park is an invigorating experience, one that truly reflects the beauty of Scarborough's natural spaces.

Very large space with amazing park, plenty of benches and great scenery. This space is filled with pathways which go through the woods, up the hills and bridges to cross the ravine. One of Scarborough's best parks!

First visit to Morningside park for us today. Nice and quiet for a Sunday and so much parking in 3 separate lots, the further you drive in the more parking available. So many spaces for families to sit and eat and BBQ. Many trails going in a few different directions including water side trails. Met a very curious and friendly Racoon. Some but not many Canada Geese and over all very nice and peaceful. Great for families and kids, bikes, scooters, roller blades what ever your choice of exercise.

I always love going to this park with my family. Lots of space - you can hike, bike, run, go fishing, have bbq with family & friends. It’s also nice that it connects to other parks like Colonel Danforth to the east.

An excellent park to come with friends and family for some quality time. There's a lot of beautiful green spaces throughout and an ample number of parking spots as well. There's a separate kids playground as well as a long trail that can be explored too.

One of the best place in the city. Two Creeks merging at one place. I love this place for walking and for hearing stream of water. There are two parking lot, partially feel during weekends. One of the best place to do barbecue because here they have more than 9 fire pit. And also best place for gathering in the city.

This park is always fun to visit. It is a very well maintained park with something for all ages. The trail is lovely to have a walk and it is stroller and bicycle friendly. Plenty of space for flying a kite, playing soccer or other activities. There are public washrooms that are decently maintained. There is construction going on at the parking lot but it does not block spaces and there is a secondary parking space. We will definitely come again to see some autumn leaves.

This one of the biggest parks in Toronto. Has few picnic areas. And a lot of parking also available. But usually during the summer weekends it becomes very crowded. Has a beautiful creek. Splash pad available in the picnic area 1. Has bike renting facility. And washrooms are also available. However I know winter maintenance.

Very good place to a take a long walk. I really enjoyed the atmosphere there. The ambiance gives us a positive vibe. Fortunately we were able to see deers there and we found it was a little bit adventurous because it was a winter morning. We were also a bit nervous because of seeing giant foot prints of some animals. But it was not a dangerous place as we expected by seeing those.

Huge park with lots of parking space and many picnic tables. There are many fixed BBQ grills available for use as well. It has a nice long trail along the stream where you can go for a walk or cycling. Bike share bicycles are also available. There's also a sandy play area along with a splash pad, good for young kids. Overall a very beautiful and clean park.

Great park for picnic. We loved it there. It’s was quite busy but park is spacious so no issues. Parking is a problem though. There are three parking lots but they were all full. Had to wait for someone to leave so we could park.

This park blew my mind. We drove to the very back, past the family areas, where it was lush, green, quiet, and beautiful. The creek is soothing. It was easy to forget we were in the city.

We walk here at least once in a month no matter how severe the weather is. You can walk up hill, down hill, by the river and in the forest.Trust me, it is an amazing place to visit. The park is a "must visit"place in summer. There is a huge play ground, water play, picnic spots, barbeque station and many more. There is a clean public washroom and ample parking area. Five stars without any hesitation.

Beautiful park. Nice large green spaces. Picnic areas that you can barbecue and have large gatherings. Large modern playground and splash pad. Walk/bike nature trails and paths. Typically busy on a weekend. Just remember to clean up after yourselves if your partying. The mess ruins the park. Have fun!

A large park with vast expanses of nature to explore. A ravine runs through the park and there are several bridges crossing it in different areas. Washroom facilities exist on site and there are multiple areas to park and lots of parking available. During winter the back parking areas are closed off. The park features a splash pad in the summer and a playground. There are lots of trails in the park that will lead you off the beaten path where you can explore the flora and fauna more extensively. Many areas lend themself to perfect photo opportunities. This visit was during the winter and there was very few people around. Summer use is much heavier.

Probably better during summer or fall. This park has a great playground for kids. The parking is free and you can also rent a bike. Nice trail for biking between the road pathway and the incline ground. Nice space to do a picnic with your family. Bbq available. Dog park close by. Ping pong table available. After climbing, there is a lookout (probably better during summer/fall). Lot of animal footprints. I really enjoy walking and rest looking at the landscape. Ps: There were quite a lot of plastic/coffee cup/ plastic bag garbages… despite the garbage bins….

I think this is the best park in an urban area and well preserved. I always like going to this park for walking, trekking and cycling. You can occasionally spots deers, foxes and other wild animals. Its has a very good cycling path.

Ample parking; clean washrooms; paved trails. Late Oct & early Nov, 2021, salmon were swimming upstream Highland Creek. Many good spots for watching them. 2021-Nov-12 update: probable sighting of coyote north of the road between the 1st & 2nd parking lots.

It is best place to visit during summer times. There are many ways to get there but best way is to go from the highway road side. There are only one seating bench there but you can sit by river on the rocks. I would suggest this place for the bicyclists who wants to roam around nature.

🚘 free parking ⛺ Shelters available for rent to make parties 🔥 Fire pits available for rent too but couldn't find it on the city website 🍖 There are BBQs there and each one has a dump for charcoal 🏞️ Can walk along river or in the trail. 🚲 You can ride your bike there too on the trail and also rent a city bike. The screen didn't work to rent one though so you have to download the app 🙄 🌲 Also lots of field space for gatherings or playing sports 🏃🏽‍♂️ Every bench has an exercise suggestion, you can make it a workout as you walk along the trail.

There is beautiful scenery along the bicycle trail in this park. We usually cycle all the way to the lake and along the shoreline so I'm not sure it's still Morningside Park that far into the trail. There are a few hills so it's not an entirely flat trail but it's well worth the effort.

We had an amazing time at Morningside Park yesterday! The park offers plenty of free picnic areas with tables, making it perfect for BBQs and gatherings. The availability of washrooms was convenient. The vast green space, along with separate areas for larger groups, was fantastic for various activities. Being close to the 401 highway was a definite plus. Overall, a fantastic park for families to enjoy quality time together.

Wonderful Experience I have been a regular visitor to Morningside Park, and I can say it is a fantastic place that I thoroughly enjoy. This park has consistently provided me with wonderful experiences. Firstly, the natural beauty of here is truly captivating. The lush greenery, well-maintained paths, and serene atmosphere make it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park's abundant trees, colorful flowers, and scenic views create a tranquil environment that instantly uplifts my mood. Another aspect that I appreciate about Morningside Park is its diverse range of recreational activities. Whether I'm in the mood for a peaceful stroll, a picnic with friends, or engaging in outdoor sports, this park has it all. Furthermore, I have always found the park to be clean and well-maintained. The presence of well-placed garbage bins, regular maintenance of pathways, and the overall cleanliness of the park demonstrate the efforts put forth by the park management and staff. Overall, Morningside Park has become one of my favorite places to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy recreational activities. It offers a delightful combination of natural beauty, recreational options, and a serene atmosphere. If you're seeking a peaceful and enjoyable escape, I highly recommend visiting Morningside Park.

The park itself is pretty large. The trail runs from the Morningside park from the north to the Greenvale park to the south, about 3.5km one way. The trail is paved, well maintained. Some spots along the trail had unpleasant smell, something like sewer smell.

  • 4/5 Chelsea San C. 2 years ago on Google
It’s a big park, there’s paved trails or you can even go off the main trail to explore the creek a little better. Lots of birds so this is perfect for bird watching. Lots of picnic tables and benches, so this is perfect for summer bbq or just relaxing. It’s also good for cyclists. Only con is that there are construction equipments on the parking lot and some trails lead you to the construction path which is not the best sight to see.

Very beautiful park for a walk, picnic or biking. The trails are very quiet and the people at the park are friendly. The whole surrounding atmosphere is positive.

Its very nice and lots of parking but not much to. Beside hiking and a small children area for play, its just lot of area with grass or hills. Its good in its current state but maybe could be improved with some more stuff. But I won't hold against it though. Its in the middle of the city so adding some more things to do will be great.

I haven't been to this place in years. The park is more appealing. And there is a rental for bikes. Pleasant to be there

Nice picnic area for a family events. There is a sandy park with swings, a splash pad, washrooms, a small stream nearby to dip your feet into and parking. My family will probably do another event here; its green and open so children can run around and still be in sight.
