Charming and opulent museum that feels like a travel back in time. Here we can find a lot of objects that take us back to the 19th and beginning of the 20th century Bucharest. The Romanian capital was once known as "Little Paris" due to the great influence of the French people. This is a hidden little gem in the town center that makes us feel nostalgic for a time we never lived and in which people went to great lenghts to create beautiful and picturesque objects. Absolutely recommended, cheap and the staff is very nice and helpful, you can tell that they are passionate about what they do.

It is an amazing place to visit in Bucharest. It transports you back to a different time, when the city was having a beautiful historic center. The apartment is decorated for the interwar period and it's full of memorabilia. Highly recommended it!

If you visit Bucharest old center (centrul vechi) you should start here, and take a trip back in time in the 30's. You will understand why Bucharest was called Little Paris. You can also have a vintage photo session there

(Translated by Google) An old Bucharest apartment, beautifully renovated, every salon, or office, the room trying to recreate the atmosphere of old Bucharest, bohemian. I would have liked to listen or live the stories of every thing in the house. You can schedule for one hour of photo and the albums are great. He wrote that tea could be served, but I did not realize how it had to be done. It is not based on a ticket, but on a donation basis. Congratulations to the owner!

Very nice kind guy who works there! He speaks about the museum and will tell you about the style and some of the history. It's an experience both socially and visually. 10/10 it's one of my favourite museums in București. However.....it is a very small museum. But definitely worth the 20 lei, and photos are allowed and encouraged, as well as taking videos. The museum is in a nice location too, Centrul Vechi.

Walking in Bucharest you can see only the facade of old buildings but visiting this Museum i could finally see the life behind those massive old walls. “Micul Paris” is a great place to go back in the 20’s and see how people would decorate and organize their home. The man who welcomes you is very nice and you can also take pictures in vintage costumes. Go there, it’s a great experience.

(Translated by Google) I visited this Museum of Little Paris. I was impressed because I did not imagine that there was such a place in the heart of the Old Center. It's an atmosphere from another century. Both the pieces of furniture, the decorations of the salons carefully assembled, the clothes, but also the vintage photos, leave you with the feeling that you want to come again to see them. I recommend a visit. It's a "must see" (Original) Am vizitat acest Muzeu al Micului Paris. Recomand o vizita. Este "a must see"

The great museum. It's interesting designed, I wanted to look at the details. However, it's not very French museum, because there was a room dedicated to Romanian and Turkish culture also. But I got the knowledge why it's French on the Romania area.

The place is arguably a private-owned museum that you need to pay a fee of 35Lei to enter and that’s in the high price range considering that it’s not a famous attraction destination in Bucharest. I don’t think that I will pay that much money for visiting that place. Maybe I will if I find fount that there’s something worth paying that money for.

You've got to check out the Micul Paris Museum in Bucharest! It's an absolute treasure that takes you back to the time when Bucharest was fondly called "Little Paris." Trust me, it's an experience you won't want to miss. As soon as you step inside, you'll be blown away by the attention to detail. The museum beautifully recreates the atmosphere of late 19th, early 20th-century Bucharest, with stunning architecture, period furnishings, and historical artifacts that tell the story of the city's French-inspired heritage. What really sets this place apart is how interactive it is. You can try on vintage clothes, learn some fancy dance moves, and even try your hand at cooking traditional Romanian and French dishes. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they'll make you feel like you've stepped into a time machine. Oh, and the cafes! They've recreated these charming Parisian cafe where you can sip on coffee. It's like being transported to a different world. If you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or just someone who loves discovering unique experiences, the Micul Paris Museum is an absolute must-visit. It's a hidden gem that reveals the secrets and treasures of Bucharest's past. Trust me, you won't regret it! PS: It's also an amazing romantic expereince for a couple that can rent it for a special night out, marriage proposals or any kind of wonderful atmoshpere. I love the owners and the energy of the place. You can't miss with this one.

This is a lovely "boutique museum" with only a few rooms, but lovely done with an overwhelming number of period items collected from former aristocratic and bourgeois houses, from throughout Bucharest. Make sure to book in advance the painted photography! It's worth it!

A place created by passion. A place full of history and beauty. A wonderful place, the existence of which I did not know, which produced a huge surprise for me and to which I will direct you to visit. Thousands and thousands of small pieces of history, of creation, of aesthetics. Congratulations to the young Brailean who lovingly continues his uncle's passion.

(Translated by Google) A good idea, the place is interesting. I liked it until I was apostrophic that I used the bathroom. The tone with which the person from there spoke to me, the strong beats in the door gave me a bitter taste. There was no announcement that he knew he was not for clients. I would have given him 10 lei donation, I would take a tea but I did not need anything. I left him 5 lei and I left. I do not come back. Post edit: Your colleague told me very clearly: the toilet is not for the public. I work in tourism and I am careful about the details. I'm sorry, nothing explains that gesture. When I saw the street announcement, I'm glad we found a new target for tourists when they arrive in Bucharest ... Thanks for your understanding, the fact that you reviewed the response convinced me to modify the initial evaluation. Good luck! Imi pare rau, nimic nu explică gestul respectiv. Cand am vazut anuntul in strada ma bucuram ca am gasit un obiectiv nou petru turisti, când mai ajung in Bucuresti... Multumesc pentru intelegere, faptul ca ati revizuit raspunsul m-a convins sa modific evaluarea initiala. Mult succes in continuare!

Fun little museum. Lots of trinkets and garderobe items from the "Little Paris" period of Bucharest, when we already got rid of the Ottoman souveranity and more cultural exchanges between Romanians and French people took place - while Paris served as a model regarding our city's architecture. The guide made us a brief presentation of the rooms we were about to see. Also talked about the origin of the "Little Paris" nickname. He said that Bucharest was the meeting point between Istanbul and Paris. After the Unification of the Romanian Principalities under Carol I, the middle class appears - the burgeoisie, a class between boyars and slaves. Now people can afford through their businesses and merchandise to be wealthier, have more exchanges with other countries and therefore afford to buy clothes they couldn't afford before, accesories and other items present in the museum's collection. The Ottoman room and the Parisian room were the most impressive for me. Lots of objects from the two different cultures. I enjoyed both of them, even if they are a little crowded. The tiles in the bathroom are made of cobalt. The guide said that the photos made at their photo cabin, which have a sepia effect, are the only one from Europe which are still manually painted after.

Knew the place years ago as a photo studio and this fall, walking round the Old Center of Bucharest I made this amazing discovery. I immediately walked in and up onto the 1st floor where a whole past epoch, La Belle Epoque, started unfolding before my eyes. The curator, a true gentleman in looks and manners, introduced me into the atmosphere offering a few guidelines. Afterwards I could enjoy the tour of this beehive sort of apartment by myself. Objects of all sorts - from pieces of furniture to personal items - delicately and finely displayed were filling the rooms offering the visitor a sensation of time travel in the most natural way. The quality of the articles the museum holds is exceptional in every way. Sincere congratulations to the artist, photographer and curator who gave life to what had been for years just an expression - Bucharest, the Little Paris.

The museum itself is really nice and quite cute, some really interesting rooms and it gives you a good insight in middle class life of romanians throughout history. The real star of the show however is the man who runs it. He told us a lot about the history of Romania and its people. He then asked my girlfriend and I where we are from and told us history about OUR respective countries neither of us even knew about. Amazing experience, both entertaining and informative.

An amazing place, that is the essence of what Bucharest was and could be... a small city, but with a french twist. You have to see this place in order to understand how negative was the impact of the communist period and also the actual period. Very nice place and cheap (30 lei) worth a visit. The friendly and knowledgeable tour guide even played music from the gramophone!

A wonderful experience, the boy who welcomed us as soon as we entered, was super kind and told us everything in detail, after a while we agreed that he also spoke Italian, so he caught up with my husband who didn't understand Romanian much. Beautiful place that deserves to be seen, the atmosphere of times gone by, the decoration, the wardrobe. I really recommend it!
