An amazing piece of history, hidden in the middle of the city. It housed a great family of artists, who came fro Germany to Romania. The building itself is a jewel of art, but contains paintings and sculptures, as well as a lovely garden in the back.

A talented family of painters and sculptors. The museum offers the original art of the Storck family, but for the 10 lei entrance fee I would have expected more than just access to three rooms. It has a garden as well, yet it was not that well maintained. Some of the vegetation took over the place.

A nice small gem in the heart of Bucharest. It’s a family memorial house where you can observe sculptures and paintings. If it’s not too crowded, you can ask to visit the backyard which is a little green paradise, unfortunately not as much preserved as it deserves.

Currently spotted by instagramers and in hype. Loved it. You can visit the house and the garden. There are many sculptures and paintingsplus the interior design is quite cool - tapestry marble columns. Various sculptures of Romanian royal figures or German writers. The garden is impressive it has a japanese tree which creates a cozy private little place inside. It has flowers, fig trees and a stone little fountain. You can throrougly visit it in 20 minutes so its great for a pre brunch stroll. Its located in an area near small cool fancy restaurants. Great and artsy. At the entrance you cand find big blocks of stone depicting some gods I guess which were interesting due to the fact that they came from the University of Bucharest after WWII bombing. Also various white statuetes embedded in the exterior walls, that added a personal touch to it.

Charming place in the middle of the town, the beautiful home of Cecilia Cutescu-Stork and Frederic Stork is a museum impregnated by their passion for art. The murals, the paintings, the ink landscapes, the statues and other sculptures make the house alive with the spirits of the two artists, who dedicated their lifes to making and teaching art.

(Translated by Google) The wonderful house, with many special works, exceptionally explained by the museographer who was a guide of note 100. The passion, the culture, the good sense of this lady made the visit to this museum house become an unforgettable memory. It is extraordinary that there are such people, who passionately share with others their ocean of general culture. Although they work in the cold because unfortunately the house is not heated, the dance is a monument of culture, of sensitivity that takes you through history and art with great professionalism. I didn't know when 3 hours had passed in this museum. I'll be back!

It has one of the best Interiors I have ever seen. The house turned museum is a must visit place for sure. Not only you get the chance to see some amazing art, the house itself it's a work of art that needs to be admired.

5 stars for what this place could be, not for what it really is. The house is gorgeous, but sadly it rapidly approaches dereliction unless some renovation works start in the near future. The art exhibits are lovely, I especially enjoyed Cecilia's drawings of the places in Spain and Portugal that they visited. The garden and the passage to get there are a shame, because of the state they are left in. Bonus points for the part of Bucharest where the museum is situated, it's one of the quietest and most beautiful parts of the city.

Absolutely amazing pieces of art inside. The building itself and the garden are also very special, but it is such such a pitty that the authorities do not invest anything in restoring this monument! It makes me sad every time I see this happening in Bucharest, and it is very often. It really is worthy of a visit, you will be blown away by the avant-garde elements of the style for both the sculptures and the paintings. That couple really was something. I definitely recommend it as a hidden jewel in Bucharest. The personel was very friendly and kind. Me and my friend we spent more than an hour admiring every corner and piece, and the kind man just waited for us at the entrance door. It was no one besides us at around 16.00 on a Friday, during corona times. Again, warmly recommend visiting this place!

(Translated by Google) The building, the victim of time and carelessness of the authorities, has deteriorated greatly. The collections of the two artists are mostly well preserved. And I say mostly, because mural painting requires reconditioning. (Original) Cladirea, victima timpului si a nepasarii autoritatilor sa degradat in mare masura. I fell in love with the house, with the story and especially with the Art. Cecilia & Fritz were two of the greateast creators of their time. Their art benefited from their mutual admiration of the human body, their love for nature(their personal garden is tempting the visitors to dream of far long gone days) and their ability to translate beauty into stone. The whole house is painted by Cecilia and has Fritz's masterpieces adorning it. Left to decay by their heirs and not reinforced nor restaured, the beautiful home will collapse eventually if not for some miracle intervention. One of the pending great loses of the world of art and a gem to be regretted soon, this is a place where beauty has called home for many, many years. It's worth a visit and the time to listen to the story. The only thing that I can do is to invite you to have your own experience of it. Enjoy! Love&Joy, AMA

It includes two artists studios with works by the three sculptors in the Storck family (style resembling Rodin) and paintings by Cecilia (style resembling Gauguin). Some of the walls also have beautiful murals made by Cecilia. I would definitely recommend getting the guided tour, it enhances the experience. Considering the low fee, I would definitely recommend this to any art buffs in the area.

A truly remarkable house. You can still feel it was the home of two great artists: a sculptor and a painter. The only downside: it looks as if it has never been repaired; frankly, grime and even black mold cover a lot of the works of the walls and even some works of art.

The Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu Storck is located on the northern side of Bucharest, at No. 16 Vasile Alecsandri Street. The Museum’s heritage was mainly formed by the donation made in October 1951 by Cecilia Cuțescu Storck and daughters Gabriela Florica Storck and Cecilia Frederica Storck Botez, towards the People’s Town Council. The house – an architectural monument – was built by the two artists between 1911 and 1913, and preserves the creations of an entire family of artists. Karl Storck (1826-1887), a sculptor, was the first sculpting professor at the School of Fine Arts, founded by Theodor Aman. He is the author of the first monumental sculpture of Bucharest, which still exists today, and portrays Mihail Cantacuzino. Carol Storck (1854-1926), sculptor, Karl Storck’s son, is the author of three of the allegories decorating the Bucharest Palace of Justice, and of the monument “General Dr. Carol Davila”, located in front of the Bucharest University of Medicine. Frederic Stork (1872-1942), sculptor, Karl Storck’s son, was a professor at the Bucharest School of Fine Arts. Cecilia Cuțescu Storck (1879-1969), painter, wife of sculptor Frederic Storck, was the first female professor in an art academy, not only in Romania but also in Europe. She taught painting and decorative arts at the Bucharest School of Fine Arts. The Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuțescu Storck collection encompasses sculptures, paintings, drawings in ink and charcoal, pastels, watercolors, and gouache works. Additionally there are a series of plates and bronze medals, as well as other collectibles, such as ancient coins, and icons.

Small but very cute and artistic house museum. It has a nice history. You can see Celilia’s paintings and Frederic’s sculptures as well as a small part of the house. The entrance is 10 Lei (2€) and it takes 10-15 minutes.

A very welcoming host for a student exhibition. The museum is like a portal to another place and time, when everything was calm and easy to live. Great atmosphere as it should be in a house of a great artist. Worth a long stay, the only way to get impregnated with the spirit of the place.

Although we visited on weekend the place was not at all crowded. The house is very impressive with ceiling and walls painted by Cecilia Cutescu Storck, many beautiful sculptures representing different human emotions made by the painter's husband and also beautiful paintings by the lady owner of the house. The visit lead me to the atmosphere of the 20th century around 1910 when the house was built in an English style.

It is a very lovely place to enjoy a quiet walk in the morning or afternoon. The place is not big and it allows you to pay more attention to the beautiful art you will find inside and details. The yard and garden are not very well maintained and it is a pitty but with the ticket price so low it is understandable. To be minded: tickets can be paid only cash.

I've been passing by this museum quite often but managed to visit it during museum nights. I was so happy I did and fell in love with it and its history. The house is gorgeous and houses sculptures, paintings, drawings in ink and charcoal, pastels, watercolors, and gouache work from Frederic Storck, Karl Storck, Carol Storck and Cecilia Cutescu, as well as other collectibles. The highlight of the museum was the mural in the main room, illustrating the different facets of love. A must visit for art aficionados.

Really tiny museum. It is not really worth the visit. During my visit it was under maintenance and there were builders and workers everywhere (and they where laughing, shouting, in general impeding the whole visit and admiration of the place). It truly wasn't anything special and the con was the prohibition of taking photos (even without flash). The guy in the ticket office was helpful.
