We had a fabulous time at this traditional Romanian restaurant last night. My husband, who is Romanian, wanted to take me there because it is located at the oldest inn in Romania 🇷🇴- so there is a lot of history! The restaurant is located in a courtyard and the setting and ambiance are very charming. The restaurant gets very busy, so be sure and make reservations. The traditional Romanian 💃 dancing and singing made it worthwhile to go! Prices are reasonable, and food was good. Mariana, our server was efficient, but not very friendly. There was a young server, BALAMI, who brought us some items, who was quite friendly. Other than her, staff weren't very engaging ( including the hostess staff). This is a shame, because friendly staff would really add a lot to this already amazing place.

Five stars for the atmosphere. Be ready to enter very traditional Romanian culture with a great vibe and music. There was also live music and popular dances. Food is good and waiting is quite fast. Make sure to book a place as the place is always full

Lovely food. Almost non existent service. The folk band and dancers were brilliant. Very generous portions. It was really hard to get a waiters attention but it is a busy place. Absolutely a must for the beauty of the building , the food and the music. I believe they have an app that you can order directly from the kitchen. No wonder!

It’s really worth it and it doesn’t cost so much for the quality that you receive and the service that there is. Great location in Old Town, in the inner courtyard of the Inn, sourounded by trees and the amazing architecture. Very tasty Romanian food, same with the drinks. They have a band that sings and dance folk music. The atmosphere is unique especially if you want to experience Romanian culture.

Traditional Romanian food in a historic building that is considered the oldest "han" from Europe. Good service, central prices, but the garden and atmosphere is worth one trip for sure. If you catch live music (traditional) nights as well, you will have fun!

Organised a wedding at Hanu lui Manuc and expectations were exceeded. We had a great interaction regarding the arrangements (with Silvia), who was very organised and focused on details, making sure everything was covered down to the detail. Service before, during and after the wedding was very good, timely and personal. Food was of great quality, portion size more than adequate. The venue was excellent. Away from the general crowd, with both indoors as well as outdoor areas, private staff, and a marvelous and historical room to celebrate the wedding. Overall we are very happy we choose Hanu lui Manuc for our wedding, and would highly recommend this place to others. Next to the wedding, we have enjoyed multiple lunches with both big and small parties, and the service and quality has been consistently good. Hanu lui Manuc earns a highly positive review. It is located right in the center of old town, and offers excellent food/service. Definitely worth a visit!

Very pleasant experience! We went for dinner with our friends and the food was great, the service impeccable, although the place is aaaalways busy. They also had live music and traditional dances, which added a nice touch to our night out. We had a good time at Hanul lui Manuc and we will come back again for sure. Delicious food in a cozy ambiance, with a very kind and polite staff. I had the lunch menu, so for about 5€ I had a lot of like-homemade food! The location is perfect, in the heart of old Bucharest. It's probably not the cheapest restaurant in central Bucharest but the prices still seemed affordable.

Huge place and divided in 3 different parts of the restaurant, a fine dining should I say. It's one of the historical building of the town. We were seated like in a winery area. We enjoyed the flamed lamb with some grilled veggies and of course "ciorba". A bit pricey though for their foods.

We had baked potatoes and a pork steak, which was very dry. The waiters were playing TikTok videos at the table behind us as they were waiting for the dishes to be ready.

Also the communication with the staff was easy, as everybody speak English. We tried traditional food, which was very good. Also there was a traditional band and dancers, so you can get a "taste" of traditional Romanian songs and dance. Prices were very good and affordable, in our case 18 euro per person but we ate a lot, so it can be cheaper. Overall an excellent experience and excellent value for money.

First visit to this old inn/restaurant on my last day of my Romania trip. I liked it quite a bit. The service is really good and the waiters are attentive and friendly and even made an extra suggestion to go with the dish that I ordered as it is more traditional which I wanted to try. The restaurant in itself does not look fancy but it preserves the old style and it is very cozy inside. It felt good to sit in there. The food was in my opinion good and the prices were also fine. We always make sure to visit Shreveport we travel to Romania. Great, delicious and traditional food. Mici is really good and so is the stuffed cabbage. Service can get a bit slow depending on the time you go. The entrainment is great. Love the singing and dancing shows the have. I believe it's mostly at night on the weekends.

Really enjoyed eating in this courtyard on a sunny day as cats roam around. It’s a historic inn serving traditional Romanian dishes. I found the service to be super quick compared to other restaurants in Bucharest. The sarmale which was pretty good. Definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful medieval restaurant with a huge interior terrace. The staff is very welcoming. Good food in general with a pretty large selection. If you have the chance to find it available when you visit, I recommend the bone marrow with gresh grated horseradish. It is absolutely fantastic. No parking, but you can park in one of the city centre car parks.

This is the perfect place in Bucharest when you want to see somewhere authentic and peaceful. It’s interior garden is wonderful and there are cafes and restaurants in it. You can visit here and enjoy your time. It used to be used as a hotel in old times for the merchants and they preserve the environment and the building. Its massive, multiply balconied courtyard hosted many performances and fairs and was a popular place for Romanian Television crews to shoot folkloric performances.

Very good food in a traditional environment that is very nice but gets busy too. The caramelised lamb knuckle was eye-watering in the most positive sense, and we loved the lentil soup too. Water is overly priced.

I heared about the Old City Center to be expensive but this one blew my mind completely. I mean, an expensive area is Dorobanti, like Paris Street but there at least you get what's worth for your money in some places. Here the prices were absolutely outstanding and after spending 200 ron (one person) in 3 hours I went home thirsty and hungry. The waiters were ok-ish, but at this price range they could at least provide a smile. The place got crowded soon and many of them.were overwhelmed. The music was deafening at several moments. The only good parts were: - the best french fries I've ever eaten; - the most spectacular Bulz I've ever seen; - very clean bathrooms. But the prices .... a 12-15% off the menu listings and I would've given it 5 stars.

The food is good, however we found the menu to be overwhelming, there are too many dish options, menu is pages long. I feel that if the menu was smaller, dishes would be fresher and more tasty. Walk-in for 1. I had the Lamb Pastrami and two beers. I was mostly served by the amazing Joshua- he spoke in flawless English and Romanian (but was originally from the Philippines). I asked for personal recommendations, and for choices between options for my main course, and he was extremely helpful. I had the Lamb Pastrami. The lamb was very salty but I like saltier food. I was glad that the garlic sauce was kept separate, as it wasn’t to my taste. But it was a wholesome, inexpensive meal, in lovely surroundings. I was told it gets extremely busy, so I am glad that I was there before the dinner rush.
