Marghiloman Estate ( 19 century historical building ) Getting here from Bucharest - Don't go through DN2 or E85 that goes out of Colentina, Afumați and through Voluntari - the high traffic is going to ruin your day. Instead take the A2 highway till Fundulea exit (you can stop here to get some snacks/drinks - you don't have shops at the place) and then you have good roads that go through 2 villages (Gostilele+Măriuța)and a lot of beautiful fields till Hagiești. (< 1h drive) Once you get to the place, there is the building (sadly in advanced state of decay) some fishermen on the nearby river and a beautiful and peaceful view. Very, very quiet place. I recommend it if you want some relaxation and just some lay back on the yard overlooking the river, behind the estate.

cladirea e in paragina, cu usi si ferestre acoperite cu OSB, multa mizerie înauntru (daca ai curaj sa intri). Daca ar fi reamenajata, ar fi ceva deosebit. Privelistea din spate cu lacul e foarte frumoasa

Marghiloman mansion was built, on two levels, between 1869 and 1874, encompassing parts of the masonry of a boyar residential complex dating from St. sec. in the 17th century. The building is typical for the architecture of the boyar residences from the 19th century. Although listed as a historical monument, the Marghiloman mansion in Hagiești has become a ruin that serves as a shelter for the sheep herds of nearby shepherds.

It's a peaceful place by the water. I really liked the silence in the evening.

(Translated by Google) You can park next to him. It can be visited for free only outside, with locks and shutters on doors and windows. It is in an advanced state of degradation. (Original) Se poate parca langa el. Se viziteaza gratis doar in exterior, avand puse lacat si obloane la usi si geamuri. E in stare avansata de degradare.

Unfortunately it doesn't look too good and there is nothing that tells you about it's history and about the Marghiloman family. It is abandoned and it's a hazard, I do not recommend going inside.
