Hidden gem 💎 This restaurant withstood its expectations with ease. The food was great 👍 We ordered beef and chicken with rice (optional), caju, pepper, vegetables and sauces. I recommend the beef more than the chicken - it's more delicious and juicy. Although we made a reservation, the place was not that busy on a Sunday evening. Bonus: the house desert - mango ice cream 🍦! Unexpectedly delicious! (It has hot milk rice at the bottom - wonderful combo!)

The service was the major disappointment! The curry was great, the vegetable stir fry a little bland, but I didn't have big expectations from it, the yellow bean dessert was good. What I didn't like was the fact that after we paid for the meal with the card we clearly showed that we didn't have small bills for the 10% tip so we tried to call the server but they avoided us, and after waiting for about 10 minutes we left and didn't leave enough tip. The whole experience was ruined by that small moment, which is a shame because the place has good food. 27/3/2022: The service still sucks, the food is still awesome.

Had a pretty unpleasant experience, I do not recommend and will surely never go again. Fish spring rolls were good, the glass noodle salad with seafood tasted too much like cilantro and lime (literally covered all the other possible flavors), but the problem was tom yum soup. I ate tom yum soup in many locations across years, but never as spicy as this one. I asked for it to be mild, literally the minimum amount of spicy, but it was not edible at all. Gave it back as they did not tell me it would be that bad and they still charged me for it and insisted I pay, which is a bad act if you want to gain customers instead of driving them away. After I got the order, no one came to ask how it was, if everything’s fine.. I tried to get their attention for 15 minutes to give back the tom yum, which i think they did not communicate further properly in the kitchen. The mango sticky rice is also good, nothing to say there. Overall pretty overpriced for what they offer and extremely poor customer service, no professionalism at all..

Loved the flavour of Tom Yum. Do ask to make it less spice if you don't like spicy. Mango ice cream was yummy

The service was fast and efficient. The food on the other hand was a bit disappointing. I have eaten Thai dishes more than once. While over all correct, the dishes I ate here had some minuses: - the stir fried meat was not as tender as I expected - I did not found the fitness of the Thai aromas in the dishes. While spiciness is expected for Thai, it should not overkill the other flavours.

Underwhelming. I was seated on the terrace. The ambiance was okay. The service was rather good. Nothing special, yet the waiter was quite helpful. The food was so and so. The pork was rather chewy. I don't know if it is a cultural thing for Romania, but the pieces of meat were way too large for bite-sized. Also the Thai flavors were pretty much toned down. On the plus side they have both the QR code for the menu and the paper version.

Very tasty food, good choices and authentic thai cuisine. Our waiter Doru was perfect, very funny and professional at the same time. Would definitely recommend. 4 persons, 1 bottle of wine, 1 starters, 4 mains and 2 desserts = 577 RON

So I was looking for restaurants to try and came upon this place. So I decided to give it a go. Service They were able to sit me outside with no issues. Food came amazingly fast. Service was professional and accommodating. No issues what so all Food I got some wine, water, Beef Thai fried Rice, and Crispy Stir Fried Prawns in Black Pepper Sauce. All the food was freshly cooked. The beef in the Thai fried rice didn't have much flavor and the fried rice was ok. Seemed to be missing something. The Stir Fried Prawns were pretty hot and fresh with a great flavor. Recommendation While the food was good, I think it's pretty good considering the location. If in the area of say give it a shot.

Kunnai in Bucharest presents a journey into Thai culinary traditions. The restaurant exudes an ambiance reminiscent of Thailand, blending elegance with cultural touches. The menu showcases a spectrum of Thai flavors, from vibrant curries to delicate appetizers. However, while many dishes capture the essence of Thai cuisine, some may not fully match the authenticity experienced in Thailand itself. Service varies; while generally cordial, there can be lapses during busier hours. Pricing is on the higher side, reflecting its upscale positioning. For those seeking Thai flavors in Bucharest, Kunnai offers a notable option, though with a few areas that could use refinement.

We went for dinner. The place is very nice and the food is very delicious. We took for starter garden wraps, and royal shrimp cake, very yummy, for the main dish we had seafood red curry which we loved it. The pad thai was amazing delicious which i recommend. And the duck in oyster sauce was very dry. Not so good. The dessert yellow bean custard was surprisingly very delicious. A must try. As a recommendation to be more nice atmosphere is to put some music, it was no music and all i can hear people talking loud at all the tables. We went there at 8:30pm, and they put some music around 10:30pm, which was so undertone, we couldnt even hear it.

This was the best curry I e had in Europe. It was a slow but increasingly delicious spice and the beef was tender, which is also rare in Europe with the amount of tough rump steaks. It was a nice restaurant with great service as well. I would definitely come back for more of the curry and other items that had a great plate presentation. Some of the appetizers came out like works of art and were equally delicious.

Absolutely delicious food! We had 4 different dishes, one chicken with cashews, one noodle dish and two with beef. The desert was an icecream with sweet rice with milk. Everything was really tasty, the service was very good, the restaurant ihas a fancy interior, with a intimate and relaxing atmosphere. I recommend this restaurant and I will definetly return here.

Nice Thai place. Had satay, curry sausage, as well as red and green curries. Pretty authentic flavours. Everything was super and the prices were reasonable. Nice atmosphere and the waitstaff were great. Open kitchen so you can see everything going on if you want. Recommended. Will go again next time there is a craving for Thai.

Best ramen in Bucharest, I could come here every single time for the ramen itself. The 4 star rating is for the service, I don’t mind beginners, that’s alright but this isn’t a cheap place, as we can all agree that an international restaurant shouldn’t be, but considering those facts, you could hire some better servers.

ผมมาทานร้านนี้เมื่อ 4 กย 2566 I am from Bangkok and I dined here.the atmosphere is good. Foods are very good. When they knew we are from Thailand they prepared hot tasty dishes for us. Pham Thai is really Thai style with crushed nut and chili on the side like in Thailand. Thai omelette is delicious.stirred fried beef with basils is truly mavelous.many more dishes to be tried. Highly recommended for Thais who visit Bucharest and also for the locals.

Outdoor sitting of 4 tables seemed like a public place. No privacy with all the residents of the nearby block being able to check on us. Food was a mix of market available sweet and sout sauces mixed with a day old chicken, microwaved and served. No bevergaes from Thailand or dessert or any sort of Thai experience. It's a pity for what the restaurant used to be and disgrace for Thai cuisine.

Great experience with Thai food. Everything we tried was tasty and beautifully arranged. Too bad though they only have foreign wines and no local ones. Good service as well.

Great service. The food was not really my type but the desert were really good. Overall a nice place. Careful with how spicy you order the food, they are a bit spicyer than usual.

The place is comfortable with a peaceful dark elegant decoration. The Hugo cocktail based on prosecco with the addition of mint is refreshing. The flat sauted noddles with chicken were earthy and generous. The beef salad was fresh and tasty. The desert, mango ice cream with sticky rice was a miss. Not enough rice for the ice cream to balance the flavours and textures and on the top of this a sirup was added which made the whole thing far to sweet. Overall a pleasant place.

First time in a Thai restaurant, I was completely amazed. I am not usually the gourmand type and not looking for food experiences, but this really was a great culinary experience. The food was absolutely delicious and impressive. I love the way they mix flavors. Not special ingredients, something ordinary, but the way they mix is the secret. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it. I don't usually give a 5*, but these guys deserve it. A single warning though: you might find the prices a little "spicy" 😉

Sunday early evening, still calm. Nice dark-grey place with tasteful decoration. The dishes portion were generous, perfect to share. The food was good as it should be. (I am Thai, I know well what I am talking about.) The cocktails were delicious. Kind of slow to be served but worth every minutes waiting. Beer goes better with Thai food than wine, in my opinion. The mango ice-cream was too sweet. Maybe better without the syrup.

Not at all the original taste of Thai food. Quality of ingredients (shrimps, chicken, lack of vegetables) below average. The waiter was bored and hardly cooperative.

  • 5/5 Sergiu M. 2 years ago on Google
The place is modern with a colour of thai culture. I reserved a table cuz the place is packed. The menu is very diverse. The food is delicious. You can see the chef's in the kitchen. They only thing to criticize is the smoke from frying in the kitchen. The service is good too.

Well, probably the best asian food in town. Had a chicken meal with vegetables, which had just the right amount of everything, very well balanced proportions. Also ordered an extra rice with vegetables that was so tasty. It’s a must visit for asian food in Bucharest

Although it's the first time I've tried Kunnai, it most certainly won't be last! Both dishes were amazing, and so was the mango sticky rice dessert. The taste took me straight back to Thailand. Highly recommended checking them out!

Probably one of the best thai restaurants I’ve ever been to. Amazing food coming from an open kitchen setup and a modern atmosphere. Staff is very friendly and attentive Be sure to book a table.

  • 3/5 Ruxandra D. 1 year ago on Google
The atmosphere was lovely and the staff is very nice, and I would have loved to finish the delicious baked and marinated prawn glass noodles, but the spice was unbearable after about half, and the menu doesn't classify it as spicy (our waiter said it only had pepper and coriander, it's just the quantities and spice of it I wasn't warned about). My mother ordered the tom yum soup and also had some trouble with the spice, but she likes it - I personally asked and switched my entree from tom yum to spring rolls specifically due to a stomach problem. If there was an indication on the menu for how spicy the dish would be,so that I could avoid it, or had been warned I could have given it the stars it deserves for the delicious flavours it had. I can't not recommend it either - it is definitely pricey, and I would just like to raise awareness on the spice level and the fact that it's not properly pointed out, and if I had the knowledge, I would have spent that money on something not harmful to my stomach condition.

I went in and ordered their duck dish and it was very good. The place is very nice as well and with the current pandemic restrictions was pretty empty, so we could choose almost any table.

  • 4/5 ratoiulcelbun r. 2 years ago on Google
Very good Thai dishes. I suppose fairly original. As good as one of the very few Thai restaurants in town. So far I know also the eldest. The best point to notice is the constance of the cooking quality, which unfortunately it's a seldom quality among restaurants in town

  • 5/5 Grigore V. 2 years ago on Google
It's a pretty location. Really quiet part of Bucharest and plenty of parking spaces. The people serving there are nice and quick to bring you anything you need. The food was good, quickly served, and really hard to choose from as there are manny dishes. Overall, I recommend this place if you want try something new, you like thai food and want to eat well.

Several years ago, when I first saw Kunnai restaurant in Bucharest (I guess it was just launched) I thought about trying their Thai food once. I had the chance to order their food this year (cause pandemic happened and I preferred to use their delivery service instead) and Wow! It was such an experience! From the amazing authentic Thai food, to their presentation, to the packaging used and the kindness of the person who delivered it (Dorin, if I'm not wrong). I'm a big fan of Asian food and their food was taking me to Thailand in a second. I can't wait to get back to Bucharest and finally enjoy their restaurant in presence, too. Excellent job!

Food was ok. Not as good as I thought it would be. Service was very good. They got me a seat though it was full and a reservation was required. Disappointed with the shrimp cakes, thought they would be better.

  • 3/5 Curro L. 1 year ago on Google
Nice atmosphere with Thai theme in a lounge setup. It is located in a new apartment buildings. They have a setup with Asian looking cooks but the ingredients used for some of the dishes are European adapted. For example on Phad Thai we got cabbage while no sprouts, chives, etc... The noodles used were also not suitable so it tasted like some average noodles with a 12 Euro price! The other dish, spicy chicken salad was better and more closer to a Thai taste.

The desserts were, as usual, amazing! The food was, too, the rice was amazing, but the noodles didn't really blow your minds, but it's a matter if preference, I guess. Kunnai is always our fancy go-to restaurant when we want to treat ourselves ❤️

Lovely Thai fusion thing going in here. Pleasing, clean and comfortable venue 9n different levels with attentive and friendly staff, who have good English. We had two quite excellent starters; corn fritters and vegetable wraps served with spicy and tasty soy and sesame, sweet chilli and chillu and lime sauces/dressings. For mains we had a chicken dish and vegetable green curry both accompanied by bottomless rice. Both dishes were super. Washed down with four Tiger beers, the bill came to £43 which we thought very reasonable indeed. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
