My lamb taste was great but I ordered a well-done cook they still serve red raw meat and also come with a very small bowl of salad. Chip is way too dry for me. Service is great but only a few Ask for the English menu if you need!

What a busy place this is, well worth a visit but expect a wait. They dk serve you drinks whilst you wait so it's a pleasure and quite fun. Great food and drinks, everything I could have hoped for. Atmosphere was one of busy organisation, everybody whizzing around but knowing exactly what they were doing, and doing it very well. I loved it and wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm ever in the area again.

The pros : good service, very prompt delivery of our order, competitive pricing, good selection of food The cons : outside tables are also used by smokers , passive smoking from other diners can be a nuisance

The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere is very busy. Get there early if you want a seat but don't worry. They do turn the tables quickly.

Went to Le Berry with my wife and son and had a really great experience. Our waiter, Charly, was super friendly and spoke very good English, which made things easier for us. From the moment we walked in, every staff member greeted us warmly and the same when we left. The place was buzzing, with a long line of people waiting, which says a lot about how popular it is. The food was absolutely delicious, great quality and generous portions. Highly recommend.

Is a must if you come to town, the food is spectacular and the service is the best. I recommend going early is always full it doesn’t matter if it’s a weekend or a weekday lunch time is full. The kids menu includes a ticket to the Mary goes around in the main place and I think that is cool. The food is so delicious, the onion soup is crazy good. Also is kid friendly they have chairs for babies.

Recent visit when the restaurant inside was packed full and we sat outside, that in itself would be a good sign but unfortunately where our table was placed was just over a drain that dispensed the smell of sewage on and off during the meal. Service was enthusiastic although occasionally had trouble getting their attention, this was with locals in the group. Food was ok, with large portions but I've had better steaks elsewhere in France, (it beats most UK steaks though) asked for and got rare. Would probably visit again, but try for a table inside.

Great Brasserie! Alex was a terrific server, very good English and on top of all our questions. The food was sumptuous, and no long wait. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Very busy place bus the staff work really well in trying to accommodate everyone as soon as possible. The food was good, the desserts are massive! Great staff personnel trying their very best to explain things in English. Visited by mostly locals.

Every dish is excellent, this place is always busy with locals. We went twice in 3 days and tried as many things as we could on the menu. Highly recommend Steak Tartare and Escargot. Beware the main size serve of Steak Tartare is huge and can serve 3 people, there is an entre size available if you only want it for 1. The ice cream is made in house with real berries and is delicious. Will definitely be back here to try everything again.

Given Le Berry doesn't take reservations, we arrived a few minutes before their 7pm opening with the hope we could be seated for dinner. We noticed a few others had already been seated on their outdoor, & enclosed, patio and asked that our group of four be seated inside; fortunately the interior was empty of patrons. That changed VERY quickly - by 7:30 all the tables inside were full and the outdoor patio was filling as well. Our waiter was amazing; very patient in answering our many questions regarding the menu, as well as questions about local ingredients. Portions were filling. I was glad that I hadn't ordered an appetizer, so was able to order dessert (vanilla ice cream/chocolate sauce/Chantilly/meringue). Fortunately, my husband was able to assist in eating this enormous, decadent, and delicious dessert! Our dinner at Le Berry was the perfect sendoff as we return home after 2 weeks of hiking in SW France. Merci! Dined in: Thursday, October 6, 2022

This French restaurant serve delicious French cuisine and provide excellent service. There is a long queue to secure a table. One of the best restaurant in Pau. Be bold and try a plate of escargot. The ribeye steak just melted in your mouth. Super delicious!!

It was a pleasant experience! Our hosted was great and helpful. The water was helpful and patient. The food amazing! We had steak. I have never had steak soooo soft(medium rare) in my life. To end our evening we had coffee and pastries. All went well!!!

I recently visited Le Berry with my friends and, despite a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing. Most of the dishes lacked flavor. The duck breast, in particular, turned cold and dry after just one cut and was served without any sauce, which made it even less enjoyable. I’m not sure if that’s their usual style, but it didn’t work for me. The fries were extremely salty, while my friend’s *haché* had the opposite problem..no salt or seasoning at all, leaving it bland and difficult to enjoy. On the bright side, the hospitality itself was warm. The waiter was kind, and the wine he recommended was genuinely good. Unfortunately, the dessert experience also fell short. We tried the tarte aux myrtilles and the baba au rhum, and I would recommend getting dessert elsewhere. What made it more frustrating was seeing the same dessert served with whipped cream at a nearby table, even though we were initially told it wouldn’t taste good with cream. They eventually brought cream in a glass, which felt odd and inconsistent. We went because it was recommended, but the food didn’t meet expectations. At times, it even felt like we were taken for granted because we didn’t speak French. Sadly, based on this visit, I wouldn’t return.

This was the best restaurant I ever went to. The food was so unbelievable good, I would consider it perfect. Our waiter Paul was amazing and very kind and helpful. He spoke perfect English and was unbelievable helpful.(all the waiters were also very helpful). The atmosphere and everything was so perfect it should have gotten 6/5 stars. The price was so low for the high quality and the size. If you visit Pau or even close to Pau you must visit Le Berry, it will be an experience I will never forget in my live. I am so thankful that I experienced Le Berry.

This is a very cozy restaurant, it has a great ambiance. We are visiting Pau, as non-French people, we feel that this restaurant has the energy of a busy Parisian bistro. We got there at 7 and we were the third or fourth group seated, we didn't have any reservation but were seated pretty quickly. But by 8 the restaurant is full. This place is packed on a cold November Monday night, I guess this shows how good the restaurant is. The escargots are great, the steaks are good, and the desserts are amazing. By the time we were done around 9, there were more people lining up to get in. On our way back to the hotel near the airport, Pau itself is pretty dead at this time, but you can't tell that based on how many people and how busy this restaurant was. Overall a great experience.

Went to Le Berry with friends and had a really great experience. The waiter was friendly and spoke passable English, which made things easier for us. The place was buzzing, on a damp Sunday evening which was a good sign that it is a popular eating haunt. The food was absolutely delicious, great quality and generous portions. Highly recommend. I should avoid the Veal brains unless you are brave!

Mon restaurant préféré, surtout qualité service, rien à dire, les places sont délicieux et les desserts. On n’en parle même pas mon plat préféré le magret. Je recommande pour tous les personnes qui viennent sur Pau. Ce restaurant est incroyable.

This was maybe the best experience i have ever had. Not only was the quality of the food incredible, the service was outstanding. Our waiter Paul was very kind, helpful and hardworking. All waiters were great. And i highly recommend the entrecôte. Last but not least, i thought the atmosphere was great. It wasn’t touristic but very local. Big compliments to Paul, the other waiters and the cooks.
