Forget other mediocre sushi places, this is THE best sushi place in Dakar. I had a great evening enjoying their miso soup, tempura, sushi and cocktails. Here’s my 2 cents: The good: Great menu, food and service staff. Each pieces of sashimi, tataki, sushi and maki tasted fresh. The service staff were courteous and friendly. It didn’t take painfully long to get our orders. Highly recommended. The other bits: Make sure you plan and book in advance and have enough time to park the car nearby. As almost all businesses in plateau, parking is a pain in the backside. Have a great time.

An experience of perfection. Very attentive and helpful staffs, with a lot of fellow diners making a great ambience. From the perspective of a Korean who came from 2nd authentic sushi-land after Japan, the platter was flawless from the beginning to the end. Right thickness, texture and fragrance of neta (topping) in combination with right amount of shari (rice) were extremely delightful, almost made me cry when I had to finish the last piece. White fish, prawn, tuna and salmon were all well matured and handled, and tamago (egg) was well crafted to have the spectrum of sweetness and depth. Totally recommended! Also try the hojicha (roasted green tea).

The food was fresh, and well made ... I loved how clean and shiny ... the place was super cozy and it smelled sooo good. The chicken noodles soup i ordered last was soggy and tasteless. Besides that the price was a bit high but it was worth it.

This place can be a bit hard to find if you don't know where you're going, but it's totally worth it. They do have vegan options and if you're curious you can just ask and they can probably put something together for you. The drinks are amazing as well and the atmosphere is very private

Fab place, with great decor and amazing sushi! It was a little quiet when I was there, but just meant I had very friendly, quick and efficient service.

Very beautiful place, quite costly, excellent food! The chef was very attentive, the other staff members were sometimes a bit slow although it was not too busy. One could see that they are still new and gathering experience. They do a premium service like for example we got a little greeting from the kitchen (so delicious) before ordering food. One person arrived a little later at our table and did not get the same attention. Also it would have been nice to be asked a bit earlier if we would like to drink something while waiting for the missing person. Nevertheless a great experience and definitely recommended.

I had never eaten Japanese food before, so I asked the waiter if he could recommend something on the menu and he just moved to the next table.

😠 Horrible service and not so good food. Waitresses are lazy and rude, and meat served is not always fresh. Quality of restaurant has dropped with new ownership as current owner focuses more on decor and marketing. Only good thing about this restaurant is the location.

😠 I came in, ordered a coffee and a brioche. I'm not Senegalese; I'm a foreign visitor, and last I retrieved money from the bank, I could only get round numbers, no change. I didn't have 1,100 CFAs, only 1,500, so when I ordered, they told me they would have to send someone to get change. This was fin...
