Dragon Hill Lodge is in need of a renovation but with that said, they work so, so hard to bring fun events to the area and really try to bring quality food and dining as well. Dragon Hill is definitely a weekend destination for those down south and a lot of people like eating here as well. The grounds are beautiful. If youโ€™re able to I recommend visiting. They also have specials such as a pool membership.

A great military lodge. Clean rooms, great tours at the tour desk, air conditioning... The food is a little bit expensive, so you're better off walking into town to get something to eat. The pool and gym are clean and functional too. There is an amazing playground for little kids.

Great MWR lodge. Minus one star on location, as there really isn't anything else left open on the post anymore. But it is a short 15 minute walk to the subway outside gate 1. And the War Memorial is a quick 10 minute walk. Clean and spacious rooms. Plenty of food selection. Plus a mini-PX.

The hotel was great, the restaurants inside were good, but my god was it almost impossible to get a taxi from the hotel to go anywhere. It made the trip so much more of a pain because getting to any location was a problem in itself with no base cabs because they had apparently been sent to camp Humphreys or something. If they fixed the cab service, everything would be great

Clean place, albeit a little dated. Nice bar inside with clean slots machine areas too. Food is not bad either. Kids can play outside on nice spacious playgrounds.

Pros - Nice American sized room and on a former military installation, so the surrounding area is very foreigner friendly. There is a pedestrian gate right by the hotel, bring your ID card for reentry. There are a few restaurants, an indoor pool, a small food court, a shopette, a small shopping market, and a travel desk inside the hotel. AAFES taxis can take you to and from airport and bring you right to the hotel. Cons - Unfortunately our room was not clean when we arrived, there were long hairs all over the bathroom area floor. Also the sink constantly dripped. When we arrived we didn't realize Yongsan Garrison is almost entirely shut down, so there really aren't any American amenities outside of the hotel. With relocation going on right now, it felt more like temporary living housing for the soldiers than a resort. Also, the travel desk is a great option for tours, however almost all of them are not available right now.

We stayed at Dragon Hill for 2 days, and there were some up and down sides. For the up sides, we loved the buffet at night. The food, especially the steaks, were really good. The staff were really kind. For the down sides, the view of our window was this building with a big pile of trash. Overall, our room and stay was okay.

Beautiful hotel, BUT not so clean room. When I went to go turn up the refrigerator temp I found sticky syrup stuff at the bottom of the fridge and shelves, and noted a tupperware in the small freezer compartment with who knows what in it, very gross. I further investigated and noted the microwave had crumbs. I again further investigated and noted the bathroom sink with hair and what was dingy who knows what around the sink. I at this point stopped looking, no need this tells me a lot. Someone will be notified. So if you still decide to come to this hotel, I HIGHLY recommend you inspect your room and if anything is found make the staff re-clean it thoroughly! This site is forcing me to select a star rating before posting, if it was up to me I would not select any stars. Trust me when I say that I took pictures, will instead show management.

My family stayed here twice since we came to Korea. The service has been good both times we visited. I like the playground for my kids. Also, it is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Seoul tour is a quick taxi ride or a nice walk as well.

Convenient, but starting to show its age. Glad it remained when Yongsan transitioned, because it does offer a convenient place to stay and explore Seoul. This hotel has looked the same inside and out for the past 25 years. Few changes here and there but the 1990 aesthetics are still very apparent. Need a bit of a refresh of decor, but otherwise pretty reasonable for the price.

Room was a very standard hotel style room, nothing exceptional at all, about what if expect from a basic hotel in the states, but that would come with free breakfast. The food was OK at best, but incredibly over priced for what you get. Also didn't get their advertised specials, such as kids eating free, we were charged for both of my kids' meals and told it only applies to kids under 5. It was a find stay, but I'll definitely look for other options next time.

This place merits higher rating in terms of service, quality of accommodation, pricing and overall good feeling! Its a first class operation with premium services at very reasonable prices! When required this is my choice to stay over my long time membership with the Mariott Hotel chain

You raised prices yet your microwave is still from 1984. All base amenities are closed. Once bus service is closed you will be also. I prefer to stay at the Hamilton. Much cheaper!

We stayed at the dragon hill lodge for 5 days Room 669. It was okay, beds are comfy, need new pillows. Sheets and towels were clean. Carpets clean, the bathroom can use some attention on cleaning and sink keep clogging. Shower leaked all over the floor. Front door had to be hard closed just to lock. I was awakened by the room next to me 3 nights around 12 am. The checkin desk was great, courtsey and professional, the adventure desk was so helpful. The food was fresh and tasty, the christmas meal was nice and festive. If you like to adventure out to go shopping the hotel is really close to the trains and taxis.

One of the best places an American service family can stay in Seoul. It's sad to see it so empty. Breakfast here always hits differently.

We returned after 10 years to find the DHL, which is still an incredible place to vacation when in the Seoul metropolitan area. We scheduled an All Day City tour via the DHL, which was amazing.

Great stay - staff went out of their way to accommodate the family. I was here TDY and they helped me add an extra charge to upgrade to a suite so the family could enjoy Seoul while I was at my conference. Love the convenient location, spacious rooms, and staff who bent over backwards to accommodate. Weโ€™ll be going here for years!

  • 5/5 Robert F. 4 months ago on Google โ€ข 5 reviews
DHL accommodated and we had a very nice, very long stay (84 nights, 20 Sep -13 Dec). Room 836 was super quiet. We requested the extra dishes to save, having spent many nights at Green Street, the Deli (almost daily), Subway, Pizza Hut, and more, plus the Exchange and the little shops (bought all kinds of stuff), but I would not have it any other way. Even Oktoberfest (x3), Thanksgiving (x5), and the Santa breakfast (x10) at DHL were incredible. Both my wife and I used the Point a couple times per week, and enjoyed at least a dozen free movies (Oasis), with free popcorn. I recommend DHL for anyone capable of getting on post, although we signed family and friends onto base a few times, to include cars. What a perfect location to the bus lines (many) and subways (Line 4 & 6). We hope to stay one more time at DHLโ€ฆperhaps in early 2025. Thank you for everything. Please be aware that jet lag is a killer if flying from the U.Sโ€ฆyou will wake up at 0200 fully charged (guaranteed). It takes several days to adjust. The cardio room at the Point is open 24 hours to help with the jet lag. Recommend channel 3-1 (TV) for the hours to all the amenities. Lastly, although our stateside phone service (T-Mobile) worked for free data (email, text, internet), it still costs 25 cents per minute to call. Therefore, my wife purchased a Korean SIM for her phone so she could call Korean family & friends (talked foreverโ€ฆlol), without the T-mobile charge.

Downtown Seoul, excellent accomodations with restaurants, shops, barber, US Post Office, bank, spa, pool, movie nights, bars, playgrounds and lots of events through out the year. Really a world class resort for military and their families.

It's one of my favorite hotels in Seoul. The restaurant, though, was so unexpectedly expensive just for the table you chose. The window tables charge like 200k more.

Best American breakfast in Korea! Lodge is aging in style, but still maintained and very clean. Bar and restaurants are great. Bakery options are dwindling. Staff is very nice. There's a tiny shopping area inside with a variety of fairs.

The rooms feel a little dated. The wall outlets are mostly in inconvenient spots. But overall the location is beautiful and provides easy access to the city. I wish the restaurants have breakfast hours and food.

Itโ€™s a nice location but the AC made awful loud sounds and it was incredibly hard to sleep even a baby had a hard to stay as sleep because of it and the sink was clogged up we told the staff of the noice on Wednesday but they did nothing about it itโ€™s Saturday now. Frustrated because itโ€™s not a cheap hotel and we donโ€™t feel relaxed or rested. The hotel food was okay small menu food options and the pool water was very cold and no towels to dry your self. The staff was friendly tho. :) the coffee, donuts and breakfast on Lower Level were the bomb.

Iโ€™ve stayed here multiple times. The food is good, especially after eating Korean food for months at a time. Not to say Korean food is bad but sometimes you just need something different, and this fits the bill.

This place is great when you are looking for a bit of a western experience. (And there's nothing wrong with that.) We've stayed multiple times for simple staycation. It's great with kids because there's an awesome playground and the pool for them to play in. The restaurants on site are tasty, so it's a one stop shop. Then if you're looking for a little slice of Korea, it's just a short walk off base to the subway or the flavors of Itaewon.

This hotel is located in a great location. You can definitely have fun and explore the city from there. The rooms for 2022 are kept up but aging. I am sure there are many reasons. I gave a 4 for service because it is housekeeping only unless you ask (bare minimum) or you pay after premium hotel price in Seoul. The deciding factor for a solid 4 star is the lack of shuttle bus from the airport. For any one flying in or out, THERE IS NO SHUTTLE FROM THE AIRPORT. You have been warned. WHY Dragon hill lodge?

  • 4/5 Ortabia T. 1 year ago on Google
Stay on Solider side and the other side (taller side). The taller side was better with no room issues. The doors on the Solider side were very hard to open and or close. Staff was friendly and choice of 4 sit down restaurants was great! Was here for a retreat both times.

Excellent hub for your Seoul experience! Great for families, couples or self. Several meal options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Full gym/workout machines, covered pool area and tours coordinated from concierge. Stayed here with family for a week and loved it. On-post Taxi stop is immediately outside of Lodge entrance. Convenient Taxi drop-off at the walk-in gate about 100m from the Lodge. Address/directions on the back of your room key. Visit while this place is still available - wish this place wasn't closing down.

(Translated by Google) There is a trap that no one can go to, escort required. It is a great place when it comes to cost performance, and it follows the laws of California, so unlike the Pyeongtaek base, payments are made overseas when using a card. Based on the kindness of the server and the neat environment, it is an excellent place that cannot be compared with Pyeongtaek. It is said that DHL (Dragon Hill Lodge) will remain even if the company relocates. Starting with Green Street, there are many places to go, such as Sables, and the server people are great.. However, it is difficult to expect the half-moon shape of the omelet you make, and there is a culture where the napkin was not cotton and tips were paid. being. I enjoyed burgers at my own pace, but it was the first time I realized the beautiful harmony of pickles and mustards. When I asked the server people, it was a homemade pickle, and when the mustard came in, the barrel was large and the amount was large, so the maturation was different. The story that other people also asked. I couldn't eat Tomahawk and Lobster at Sable, so I'm hoping to go someday... Great location. However, the air conditioning is controlled by the front desk. It was around 75 the whole time we were there which is too hot for us. We wish we wouldโ€™ve known before booking. They should really advertise that the rooms canโ€™t control the air temp. Also, the breakfast is not free if you use any other long-stay promotions. However, clean rooms and nice staff. Loved the stay except the fact that on day of checkout, a maid walked in 2 hours early with her key card and we were in the shower.

Checking in and out was painless. They have a bus that goes to and from the Incheon airport. Maybe things have changed, but I am reviewing my stay from 2016. There are things to do inside and outside of the Hotel. It was a Hotel on an army installation where i was stationed so it was very convenient for me and my family. There was a shoppette on the first floor and next to it was a mini casino/ game room. I would go back if i was visiting the area again. :)

Golden age of the Dragon are long over. Bathroom is outdated, which includes the shower. Food is over priced and cheaper accommodations are available downtown. Give the property back to the Koreans, they can upgrade the hotel. The non-flushing toilet is a bonus.

Worst service ever at the Pub. Servers didnโ€™t know what was available at the kitchen. And didnโ€™t even bother to get me food. I waited after 45mins of waiting for our food the server notified us that they were out of the meal we ordered. After ordering a new meal, we waited another 25mins for the server to come back and tell us that they also didnโ€™t have the meal that we ordered. Very disappointing.
