Since management change, everything is excellent. It was mother's day and needless to say, Packed. We didn't have to wait on a table as the management and staff worked together to clear tables. I felt bad for the waiters though. It was getting late and you could see how tired they were. If they weren't tipped properly, shame on you! I think the cooks need a tip jar. They kept the bars as full as they possibly could. Considering how packed, they did really well. They could use some flavor in their peas, cabbage and greens. At one time they had flavor. Overall....Triple A

Good selection but sometimes you have to wait for food.. Especially on a night like steak and shrimp. UPDATE 12/26/2021. Came here for the breakfast in the morning. I haven t been here on about 2 years. They have remodeled and it looks nice inside. The breakfast was delicious. The ladies that come to the table to take your plate and freshen up you drinks were friendly. Kim was my table host and she was amazing. Pictures posted below.

This is a hard place to rate fairly, since it's a fairly inconsistent experience each time. Certainly never bad enough to make me never consider coming back, but between the unruly guests that let their children run around like it's some sort of playground, and the customers who do unsanitary things on the buffet line, it makes most experiences... different... to say the least. Ever since COVID it's gotten a fair bit better. Without the messier items like the chocolate fountain being publicly accessible and the like, use of gloves while self serving, and people in general being a little more self aware of germs and the like. The food itself is okay. Some items better than others. The sliders are my favorite item they have, I could eat nothing but those and be happy. Though the price for dinner and a drink gets expensive enough to compare the quality and price to that of the casino buffets. Still reasonably priced for lunch though, and certainly when I would recommend dining in. Staff is very friendly, and there's generally enough of a selection to make everyone happy. It's certainly a nice change up when the only buffet you're used to is Chinese food. So all this considered, from price to experience I would say a solid 3.5 stars. Maybe closer to four, but certainly not four or more.

One of the worst locations I've ever been to! It's was dirty disorganized and hot. Half the food didn't even look appetizing. The labels for the food were missing. They didn't offer many dishes and what they did have were not good. The mac and cheese was overcooked and old mind you it was at the beginning of dinner. The sauce on the wings and baked chicken was nasty. The ice cream machines were empty and needed to be filled but never got done. It got one star because our server was awesome.

I had an opportunity to travel to Shreveport, LA, to visit family. I love to travel and patronize restaurants that I've never been to, to see how they compare to the ones at home. For lunch, we went to Golden Corral Buffet & Grill on Youree Dr, a restaurant where we could pile our plate high with our favorite foods for an economical price. This one was just like the one at home; clean, roomy, great selection of foods, great service. Speaking of great service, we could not have had a better server than Yolanda. She was friendly, very helpful, and so attentive to our table. She had such a likable personality that my sister was very impressed with her. Needless to say, we enjoyed our meal. The fried chicken and fish were delicious. There were many other entrees from which to choose. Endless vegetables, delicious soups, and salads. I had my usual dessert: peach cobbler with ice cream on top. We ate to our heart's content. This was a bright spot in our day. All in all, it was a very pleasant trip.

Both my boyfriend and I love Golden Corral. It was his birthday. At least 20 people joined us. There was no ice cream and no tarter sauce...We were very disappointed; it was a Friday evening. Lots of people eat fish on Friday. No ice cream for the birthday cake. Still GREATfood and GREAT customer service. Darlene in Bossier City

Mr Larry had the steaks tasting great! My server was absolutely awesome! He kept us with what we needed and took away what we didn't.

I really don't know how this place is staying open. The food was cold not being kept at a good temp to keep it fresh. The steaks are more like cut up chuck roast. They cut them thick but because of the cut they are tough as boots. Anyone with tastebuds may want to beware. Keeping the food hot would really help The only thing I can really say that is good about the place is the Staff. They are gold. We won't be coming back.

Went the day after Veterans Day and I am a disabled Navy Veteran and I asked about my military discount and was told they were not accepting the discount until 5 p.m. the following day. I have ate here before with my 11 year old son and 17 year old niece and only spent $36 something but on 11-12-23 they tried to charge me $50.41 for 3 adults when it was 2 adults and an 11 yr old female. I was angry and left instead of paying the outrageous price to eat there. I do not recommend this place on Sundays. Also, the older woman at the front taking payments was really rude and rolled her eyes and had an attitude when I said nevermind about eating there because I didn't have enough money and I even apologized and she is very unfriendly. She should either be removed from dealing with customers period or fired

Our waitress, Brandy, was great! I'd left the table to get a bit more, and when I'd returned, found a fresh glass of iced tea already waiting for me! She had several tables (with 2 to 4 people at each) but managed to keep everyone well covered. Very impressive 👍👍👍

Definitely eat here! Best Golden Corral I've ever eaten at. I've seen more selections at other G.C. but at this location, everything I had was scrumptious. I asked my hostess, who was awesome, for some teriyaki sauce for my steak, and she came through for me. The restaurant is clean and smells wonderful, and the staff is very friendly. I live sixty miles away from this location, but I'll road trip to come back here and enjoy the super tasty food.

Had been craving buffet food and stopped in, most of the meats were dried out, but the sides and desserts were decent. Service was great though. Just a bit expensive for the food quality.

The fried chicken was hot and fresh. Everything was good and our waitress was so friendly.

They're extra mid. Depending on the crew working you could get some good food. But restaurants often have a high employee turnover rate, so getting consistency is always an issue. But as of lunch time 1/29, they had goin on.

Been a long time since I've have had a breakfast buffet. Eggs were great, bacon crispy and the biscuits and gravy were top notch. Only strike was either the water or ice(both) that were used in the sodas, tasted like lake water. Intolerable. Probably because I was in Louisiana.

Had a noisy lunch with my MIL, SIL & wife around noon at the Youree Drive location. The place was packed, yet Caroline kept our table cleared, our drink glasses filled, table clean, and the food was hot & fresh. The catfish, baked chicken with cabbage and black eyed peas, excellent! The carrot cake, moist and good. We'll be back!

The food is good the drinks are not good at all. Taste like mold smells. The service was very slow. I ate half a plate of food before we got our drinks. I didn't drink mine but the other people in my party had to ask for refills. Last of all it was warm like the ac was off.

I try to drop in for dinner when im staying in the area. Staff is always super friendly, food is pretty decent and usually fresh. Only issue i ever usually see at any of the Golden Corral locations is people's lack of control of their children. This is always a good location for a late lunch or early dinner .

Had a great experience at Golden Corral with Chance. He was attentive and quickly offered me refills and took my dishes even though his section was full. Checked on me me periodically. Mushrooms on the salad bar looked sad this evening. Most of the food was fresh though.

Best buffet ever, everything was fresh delish, seasoned perfectly, not to much salt in the cooking! I know, because I'm a professional chef! Thank you golden corral for a great meal for me and my daughter !

The food was fresh. I had the Baby Back Ribs (DELICIOUS). The waitresses were friendly but it's HOT as hell in there. Especially the bathroom and it's too small and I'm not a big person so you know it's small. I think they may need to invest in another cooling unit

Went to Golden Corral to have thanksgiving dinner ; I stood on the line just like everyone else, when we got close to register a group of 6 that are standing in the line behind cut line and went in front of us , while the cashier said nothing . When we got our seat got our drinks , the waitress ignored me to give me refill drink , she’s giving everyone around us , this is a horrible experience . The building change the look , so is the inside renovation.. but the hospitality is still bad , desert is disappointing, for the price would expect better food , deserts , plus very very salty , the steak it have no flavor …

It was Sunday for lunch so was busy. However the food was mediocre at best. The meat for the grill was ugly and probably shouldn't have been displayed. Much of the food was dry. The buffet was messy. The tables and carpet were awful. We won't be going back to this location. WAY overpriced for the food and experience.

The city of Shreveport is way to big to only have a few buffets , there was so many people there trying to eat, the restaurant could Not keep up, I don't understand, they know the times they get busy, they know which foods get eaten the most and they were out of everything, I had one piece of chicken and that was after I ate everything I didn't want, everyone needs to do this business a favor and stop going there, that or they need better management.

This was a location in Shreveport Louisiana. While they charged extra those day since they had steaks being grill cooked, I'd sooner, and rather paid less and got just the regular buffet. The roast was great, the beef well cooked and the vegetables wonderful. The fish was good, the grill chicken was excellent and the veggies from all the different offerings were excellent. So since it's rare for me to find one of these I took advantage of it, got two plates of items, and felt good and happy with it. The steak was a little chewy but ok.

This is the first Golden Corral I’ve ever been to that didn’t offer a Military discount. That was disappointing. The grease dripping from the top of grill fan into the lettuce, tomato, etc was just nasty. They emptied the pan when I told someone but left the food that had been dropped in!! Saving Grace and only reason they get a 3 star was our server Carolyn! Her service made paying worth it!! Thank you Carolyn!!!

I've been here several times in the past and never had a complaint. But, this last trip was just bad. We had a party of 6 and couldn't find a table to fit us all, when I asked two different servers they were basically like 🤷‍♀️. When we finally found a table, it was gross. There were a few other groups around us complaining about the tables also. The buffet was messy and missing several food items (we went early afternoon so not close to closing), the servers were pretty much non existent and had to be found if we needed anything, and the bathrooms were nasty. I'm not sure what changed since I was here last but wow, it really went downhill.

This has been the absolute worst visit I've had at golden corral. The food was actually delicious this time, however that does not make up the awful attitude of the guy server, we were told that we shouldn't let anyone else into the room that 6 other people was sitting in. I listened to him tell 2 older ladies" that they couldn't sit here." After they said they were told to sit back here by another employee. "Matthew said, Well I don't know how y'all are going to get waited on" absolute atrocious behavior. I have never understood why, they have such an awful attitude " when all they do is bring you, your drink." Matthew you are a terrible employee and should be held accountable for your behavior. You can't treat customers like this.

The food was decent. The steaks were either rare or well done there was no in-between. The guy cooking had a short impatient attitude we only saw our server twice once we sat down and when we were leaving

Besides the quality of food, the employees did not make this a pleasant experience. Hello is this microphone on? I only give one star if I see bugs, dirty filthy bathrooms, or over the top rudeness. Well, I didn't see bugs but Jesus take the wheel everything was nasty. Including the staffs attitude. I can't in good faith recommend this placr based on principal of the value of my money. The sevice was good . The food was great you need more desserts on the table . I only saw three cakes , more cookie options as well , there were only two kinds of cookies to choice from. The one in Florida had 4 different kind of cookies to choose from. Plus 6 different cakes to choice from. Plus 3 different cobbler to choice from. The cobbler, were apple, peach, and cherry . Your dessert table look kind bare !!!!

I don't typically eat buffet food, but I was impressed. The food quality was good, and the prices were great too. We returned the next morning for breakfast, and they experience went well too. Staff was extremely friendly both morning and evening. Keep up the good work.

I took a group of seniors , playing the senior games here, twice in the past week. Everything was wonderful both times. Cashiers, waiters, manager, servers were all very friendly with excellent customer service. Food was delicious too!

This has been the worst golden corral we have ever been in. We couldn’t even get the ranch refilled while we were standing next to the gal with it empty. Don’t ask for any money because the guy cutting it doesn’t want to help you. Go to the desert and put your dessert on your plate and touch it and you’ll get yelled at. I was astonished when they yelled at a young lady. Customer service sucked, Which would’ve been a little forgivable had the food been decent. It’s cheap but it’s not worth the money I paid. Went home from the buffet hungry. The company, the management, and the staff should all be ashamed of the store.

The food sometimes be Luke warm, You can tell it hasn't been switched out for awhile. I think they shouldn't let young kids fix their own plates unintended. Saw kids playing in the mac& cheese. This place could be good if they make a few changes. Just keeping it 💯 I will visit again to see if it's any better.
