Usually hotels in a prime location have free parking for guests, but that's not the case with continental forum. You need to shell out 4 euros a day for that. Better park in the adjoining city parking at half the price

Everything was great except the bathroom which is separated from the room by "glass-walls" ... When you share the room with somebody, it's embarrassing!

Close to city center, private parking, nice rooms, the bathroom should have been cleaner

I've stayed there on several occasions and I can tell you everything was great. Location is perfect, rooms are clean, staff polite, everything you can ever expect from a serious and organized hotel. Glass bathrooms can be a little awkward though.

Clean large rooms, good beds with comfortable moder mattresses, easy access and parking, and good service.

We booked a room for 2 adults and one two year old child. The room looked nice, but extremely small. The price was very high for what we got. A super small room, the mini fridge wasn’t working, we had to refrigerate the snacks we had for the two years old at the hotel restaurant downstairs, the bathtub had not been cleaned, covered in hairs and the soap bar they offered was also used and covered in hair. The price is not justified for what they offer at all.

This review is actually for the people from the management of this hotel. We’ve booked 2 nights for a family room without free cancellation. 2 days before our staying, one of our children got sick and we kindly asked for a cancellation or a rescheduling of our reservation. The quick answer from the hotel side was: “We are sorry for this situation, your money will be fully refound in a few days”. Thank you again for solving our situation in this way! 🙏

This is how hotel should look like outside and inside. Perfect service, there is everything you might need in the room, from cleaning your shoes to shaving. Very good breakfast.

The first stay in the room was great, however later on when we went to stay again, they had overbooked and removed our reservation, leaving us stranded without without space available in nearly off of Sibiu. The bathrooms are nice, however the translucent walls are awkward.

The hotel looks awesome from outside. The lobby/reception is beautiful. The staff is helpful if caught in a good mood. Our room was so small, that after placing our luggage in the room it was barely possible to move in it. the AC was making random noises, shower door was not closing properly hence leaking over the whole area. the "bathroom area" aka glass cube was not ventilated and even after trying to find an option to vent the room , we had to use the rattling AC.

They list themselves as "pet-friendly" on Booking.com, so you, the unsuspecting customer go ahead and book your stay with them. You book not one room, but two. And you pay upfront, because they ask you to do so, even though it's an antiquated practice and literally nobody does it any longer. "Pay at the property" is what most hotels will demand of you nowadays. But, nevertheless, you pay them. And not 10 minutes later they send you a message in which they say that, yes, they are pet friendly (for an extra fee), and AS LONG AS YOUR DOG IS NO LARGER THAN 10 KG. Which is not great news for your Golden Retriever pup, obviously... I now cancelled the booking. No doubt I'll have to wait a while for the money to reappear in my account. Do yourself a favour and book the Ramada. It's what I just did. They're cheaper, have nicer-looking rooms, and they don't actually LIE to their guests. I know, because I just called them and asked if pet-friendly means only friendly to very tiny pets, and they -- very politely -- assured me that pet-friendly ACTUALLY does mean ... pet-friendly. To conclude, the Forum Continental Sibiu? Ew. Avoid!

Rooms are so and so , bathroom has a glass wall that I dont like, last time I was there the toilet water broke and couldn't sleep from the noise, at midnight I had to go to the reception, the lady was nice trying to change my room unfortunately that was not ok for me so a guy showed me how to stop the water from a faucet in the wall. Location is great and they have a small private parking in front of the hotel.

That’s definitely not a four stars hotel ! It needs a renovation ASAP ! The bed, the pillows?!! Come on guys… You can do better !!!! Actually everything is old in the room, so it wasn’t comfortable at all. The breakfast is ok, have fresh fruits which is nice, but definitely needs more diversification. We didn’t found a parking spot, and the personal didn’t helped with that, when we asked what should we do in that situation, they were just like “I don’t know” ! So who’s gonna know actually? Not even a driver service ! No one to help with the luggage, you just check in as a motel ! So yeah again definitely not a 4 stars hotel. The location though is perfect, you can do everything by foot.

Great location! Nice and clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. The only issue was with the hotel parking (it was full), but it was understandable because we visited during the Christmas Market.

Our room was hardly cleaned during the stay. We came back to our room and the beds were badly made, the bathroom had not been cleaned and even the toilet seat/bowl was not cleaned. The carpet in the room is dirty and worn out. The towels were replaced but we specifically left our towels on the rack as per the hotels own suggestion to use them again. Would not recommend this hotel with this low level of cleanliness. They should train their cleaning staff to call themselves a 4 star.

3 star hotel with all strict necessary amenities available in-room. Had a night stopover and found the room to be clean and good value for money. Did not have breakfast but we were offered free coffee before hitting the road (very rare to have free stuff offered to you in Romania).

Being a 4 star hotel, we didn't expect any problems regarding the cleanliness, but we were very wrong. The first room we got was very dirty, from stains and hairs on the bed sheets, dust everywhere, dirty bath tub with hairs in it and so on. They offered to change the room, but the next two were equally dirty. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find another accommodation, so we couldn't take the refund they offered, so we had to insist they clean one of the rooms. What we found under the bed was disgusting: food, crackers, food wrappings and a lot of dust (it looked like they didn't clean there for months). The hair dryer was filled with dust, behind the TV was full of dust... Very disappointing...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Ratio price/service is way too high. Wireless connection available, but no internet access... for 5 days. Expensive dinner for all you can eat but the food was not really there, they didn't refill anything for one hour that i've sat at the table. So no, no, no. Don't even think staying there unless you get a 50-80% discount.

(-) Definitely not a 4 stars hotel (maybe in the past). Rooms are quite outdated with “heavy usage signs” and should be renovated. Finding a parking place could be difficult sometimes. (+) Breakfast is good, staff is friendly and the location is very good.

We absolutely love this place. We stayed here when we first arrived in Sibiu from Canada and we are staying here again for two days before returning home. The reception staff was fantastic, the hotel room is very elegant and clean, and the location is perfect just adjacent to the Old Town. It is also walking distance to the train station and to Promenade Mall, where you can also do your Covid-19 test if required for your return home.We highly recommend this place. Thank you Continental Forum Sibiu. Sincerely, Chris Motiu, MBA

Well-located hotel with a deep dedication to the colour blue and true 2000s oligarch style. Clean and comfy rooms, although they have weird glass cages for bathrooms... Very friendly and helpful reception staff!

Good breakfast, clean, parking 4€ per day in front, big rooms, walking distance from city center

asked for a twin room and i got 2 beds stuck together like a single bad and the bath walls are made of glass so the privacy is limited.

It's a very good hotel, with nice people, clean rooms, and a large restaurant with good food.

Showers need renovations, the hotel can’t guarantee a parking spot, though I saw a lot of signs standing in front of the hotel with a “reserved” on it, interesting who you need to be to get this kind of reservation of a parking lot? Strange for this kind of a hotel, would rather pick one in the area with guaranteed parking lot and with less noise from the street. Poor breakfasts. Not good value for money.

I felt great at this hotel, everything was great. The rooms were very clean and large, the staff was friendly. The breakfast was wonderful, we had a lot of food, all of them were fresh and very tasty. The same goes for dinner, we had a great variety. I have nothing to complain about this hotel, I will gladly return!

Clean. But that's the only upside i could find during our stay. Badly designed showers, toilets, only had a single blanket streched over a double bed so not ideal, only one bathrobe although we were 2, cold room, advertised as breakfast in room but in the end you gotta go down in the public restaurant. Squeaky bed, same for the couch, bad matress, didn't like the pillows either Bad coffee, all prices displayed in euros only but would only take local currency. Buffet style breakfast, low quality products, feels cheap, tastes..not good Looks nice from the outside but a poor experience is what you eventually get. Can't wait to leave this place, horrible, wouldn't visit again

We had the deluxe family room which was wonderful. Its colors are bright and it has a nice terrace with lovely view. Very close to the old city

Great location. Some small refurbishments can be made here and there but all in all good experience.

It’s a pretty standard hotel. The staff is impeccable. The rooms are generally clean and well-equipped. Ours had a bit of a leak in the shower-to-room wall, making a wet spot in the carpet (because it interestingly has not only a glass shower stall, but a glass bathroom). Nothing about the hotel is remarkably charming, however. Just nice.

A really pleasant and relaxing stay! The location is perfect! Right at the beginning of the main road where all the shops and restaurants are! The staff at the hotel are really polite and courteous! Love the wide variety of food you get for breakfast. There arent any queues as its a smooth flow of people coming in and out of the dinning Hall! The staff serving us is really hard working and clears things up very quickly! Loved my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there again! Lastly, The Sibiu Public Bath is literally a walk around the corner so if you want to enjoy a relaxing swim you can!

Rather disappointing. It looks nice from the outside and the lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas. Unfortunately the room was not very clean (plums of dust) and the shower didn't work without a bit of "engineering". The air conditioner couldn't be controlled and the room was rather warm. Dogs are allowed but you can expect them to complain if the dog is above 10kg.

So there was nothing actual to complain and the location being near to the market places is very good. Still I have to say I was underwhelmed by the (baby blue) interior style and things like missing light on toilet and shower. By the way - be careful when exiting the shower, or better use a rope to descend. The breakfast was crowded and poorly organized... No way to go there again as long there are other options...

The feeling that I was staying in a hotel that was built and designed there in the 70's or 80's. All the hotel facilities look outdated, the breakfast was simple and basic, not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The hotel urgently needs renovation and renewal

  • 2/5 Jessica B. 1 year ago on Google
The experience was not good, air conditioner made noise all the night even it was turned off. Bed is small as well.

  • 1/5 Tudor V. 1 year ago on Google
Poorly maintained room, dirty bedspread, pillowcases were not washed (had hais on them). Restroom was downright dirty. Staff was rude or at best useless. It is not a 4 start hotel by any stretch of the measure - more like a 2.5-3 stars. I don't recommend nor will I ever go back.
