Without doubt the bar with the best view in Singapore. Lantern Bar is located on the rooftop of the Fullerton Bay Hotel. Upon exiting the lift, one gets out to the beautiful rooftop pool which looks out at the Marina Bay Sands Triple towers. To the left and right of the bar is the skyline of Singapore. A great place for sundowners. The cocktails are amazing. Their Sydney Sling is a stiff and refreshing cocktail. The bar bites are very nice too. Truffle fries and sliders are very good. The perfect bar for a very nice and breezy ambience.

Lovely big outdoor place with an amazing panoramic best view of Singapore’s skyline. Booking is easy, However, once you arrive.. you might wait a bit till you are attended.. only one or two maybe by front desk.. but you will get busy taking photos with the amazing front view till the host with you. - Atmosphere: really nice, chill - Service : good but some of the stuff needs more training on good hospitality & how to receive your requests with a smile & kindness. - Drinks: nice cocktails variety ( 2nd time order mojito, was not nice, the Sugar is a lot & u can crash it in ur teeth!) - Food: I think overall, it’s nice menu.. good quality but not across all the menu.. some items was really nice, some missed same level of quality & flavor. - Lobster rolls, must try - asparagus risotto, very nice - beef sliders, nice - fried chicken pops, below average - crab cake, very nice - truffle fries, very nice - shrimp & lobster tacos, ( the meat flavor of seafood is nice, salsa not, when you put everything together, u r missing the bomb flavor that you crave for this dish, taco shell are too big for the quantity served, I’d rather mini tacos, less messy, lemon to be added) Overall, nice place to enjoy the scenery with nice light drinks, some appetizers, but needs more focus on more tempting menu..

Very nice rooftop bar, probably the best in Singapore esp since one altitude closed now. Very good place to chill and drinks and enjoy a nice view Their food and drinks are a bit pricey but worth it for the vibes and views It does get a bit crowded especially since now we can drink beyond 1030pm. The service here is also surprisingly good Overall very recommended , we tried almost all of their signature bar foods.

Had a cocktail there for an hour. The place is cool and the view is really enjoyable. The swimming pool around the cocktail area is making the ambiance. I was also lucky to get a rainbow 🌈 view too. Fantastic! You pay for all of it, no worries 😉. So why 3 stars you may wonder now. Well, then it comes the quality of the drink and the fact that cocktails are served in plastic glasses! Yeah! That ruined the quality of the drink and makes you feel uncomfortable. Makes the whole experience cheap! I can understand this for those having a drink at the swimming pool…but it’s not the right choice for other customers. To be reviewed!

Love this place! The food was excellent we had the sausage platter which was superb and then the beef which was great. Portions are not overwhelming and service was good if sometimes a little disorganised. The view across the bay makes up for this 100%. Great to be outdoors in Singapore at this time of year in the evening! Defiantly would come again.

Dinner at Lantern, the Rooftop Bar at the Fullerton Bay Hotel, is an event and not just another meal. One soaks in the atmosphere and enjoys the magnificent view in the midst of mellow company, while sipping one's drink of choice and nibbling on the delicacies on offer from the rather sparse menu. We had the Sausage Platter which included Pork & Herb, Chicken & Cheese and Spicy Chorizo served with Sauerkraut on the side and a Pretzel. We followed this up with the Lobster Roll with Truffle Fries. Great ambiance, great service and a great dining experience - what more can one ask for?

The food and atmosphere are OK. But the services really need a lot of improvement! 1. As the ambient is pretty dark there at night , there is no bell calling. We have been struggling to get the waiter attention . While they are less attentive to the guest. 2. Request for additional tortilla, and it took more than 30 minutes to come ! Despite checking with the waiter a couple of times, the food is already all cold . But still no improvement. 3. The female staff who walk us in forgotten our request. Making us sit like a fool waiting for her to come back to us. Advise to reconsider here if you have an important guest coming . 🙃

in a nutshell: rude staff and left a bad first impression of Singapore. the details: My husband and I arrived after 18 hours of flight and we wanted a place to have a drink and a quick bite. We were staying at the Fullerton Hotel across the street so it made sense to us. On the website (from dec 2023, and it has changed since), it says the last food order is at 11:45pm. we even checked with the staff at the hotel to make sure it was still opened and able to order food before we go. We arrived at the restaurant at around 11:30pm and the hostess was already incredibly rude and gave us attitude of no food will be served. but she can "do us a favor" to let us have ONE drink. when we sat down, she rushed us to order; what's the point of even giving us a menu to look at. after a long flight, I really did not have any energy to deal with any of it.

Very disappointing experience at the Lantern. We were placed at the bar and that gave us a full view on the unprofessionalism of the waiters. Not only they didn’t know to ingredients and composition of the cocktails - but we saw them chatting away, drinking beers, cocktails and playing cheers with the spoons. After a 20min wait and 3 reminders, they finally brought the final drink (a beer : that was in the fridge 1 meter away …). For a 5 stars, this is not what we expected at all. If you are looking for a nice bar to have a drink, do not come here, there are better places in Singapore. Positive point : reception was helpful and very nice even if we came without a reservation.

Awesome rooftop bar with great views of Marina Bay. The whole thing is covered so you can go during rain as well. It is located behind the pool on the 6th floor roof of the Fullerton Bay Hotel. Enter through the lobby of the hotel. Food was good and drinks were tasty. There is tables as well as some couches/patio seating for dinner or just having drinks. No bar seats. Somewhat picky about having reservations...so book ahead. Drinks are expensive...like $25 sgd for a coctail...but you gotta pay for the view... Would definitely go back again. Go after 8:00 and you can see the light show across the bay.

Awesome place to hangout over a drink, admire the sunset view, enjoy the breeze, and fantastic service (we were greeted by Gemma and hosted by Jager) oh but unless u are a fan of &80s music you will have to tolerate it! We had especially booked two or theee weeks in advance, to celebrate a birthday and were truly surprised by the complimentary slice of delicious choc cake. We were also offered the cornermost sofa seat as there were some last min cancellations. I must say, if you intend to eat, the dining tables would be much better as the sofa seats were a tad sunken, but for lazy lounging it’s ok! We are vegetarians and had some of the limited plant based options (we missed spotting the risotto until too late!!! ). You don’t really come here for the food so just glad there were options for vegetarians. There were also interesting non alcoholic gins and cocktails for the non-alky. Thank you so much for the memorable hangout! We had a great time🙏🏼

View is amazing, we didn't have a reservation so they sat us outside the covered area but moved us when we said we were just staying for drinks before dinner.

Very nice spot for drinks. We felt a bit chased by the staff after 10pm as they kept coming at us mentioning that they were closing soon, that we couldn't drink or eat after 10.30pm, that the ambassadors were about to arrive so we had to leave asap. We know the new "after CB rules", no need to put so much pressure on your customer to make them leave.

Came here on a Saturday night around 9.30pm. Was told that after 9pm, the minimum order per pax is 2 cocktails (for the front row seats with direct MBS view), which can be rather heavy if you only have about an hour left before the 10.30pm covid deadline. Two cocktails and a bowl of truffle fries amounts to about SGD 80, so basically you're buying the view instead of the food. Food and cocktails tastes average, nothing special. 5 stars for the view and ambience (but some seat are blocked pillars or plants - so it's best if you can get there earlier to select the seats). It's a nice place to chill with your friends. As for the cocktail and fries, I'd say probably just 3-4 stars since it's nothing special and very much overpriced. Service from the staffs were great, kudos to them.

Really great views during the day and night. Not giving full 5 stars as we tried the Singapore sling here for the first time. I'd say neither the classic nor the passion fruit slings will be something we ever order again. It's not sweet, not sour, just tastes like alcoholic watery-ness. I'd opt to try their other cocktails as they looked to go down better. Pool of course is guest only but it's gorgeous at night with the lights reflecting off of it. Highly recommend to come and check out the view! Free nuts is a plus but we had to ask for it.🌌

Went here for drinks. The location and view are unbeatable, with a great spot overlooking Marina Bay Sands and the water. The ambience is also excellent, with cool music and lighting. The drinks are objectively expensive, but on a par with similar high class places with such locations and / or status. However, although the cocktails we ordered were perfectly fine, they tasted a bit watered down, especially the aged negroni. This was pretty disappointing given the price - I don’t mind paying for quality, but this was very average. Overall, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, simply because the quality/price ratio isn’t really there.

After our dinner down below at La Brasserie, we went to the rooftop bar called Lantern for a few drinks and the light show. Nice view of MBS The house music was a little loud , but I’d put that off to my personal taste. The drinks were weak. Both my wife’s Mojito and my Hendricks&Tonic were pretty light on the booze. I opted for a second GT and asked for a double to get some flavor. It arrived and was dialed in nicely. We had a total of three drinks, with one of mine being a double. When the bill came for the three drinks it was S$148.00! We were charged for an extra drink. After mentioning this to the waitstaff it took a good 15 minutes to sort out, with them offering explanations as to why they charged what they did. Finally they relented and now I await a refund on my AMEX card. No apologies offered. Decent view, expensive drinks and so-so service. I could have bought a couple of bottles of Hendricks for the price of a few drinks!

This rooftop bar offers one of the best view of the Marina area during sunset. Go during happy hour 5-7pm and enjoy drinks with finger food. Great place to take in the view, de-stress or have drinks before dinner. It’s also a great place to take clients and business colleagues. Sofas and low ottomans line the balcony to give the feel of a club and not to block the view of dinners seated behind. The sunset was spectacular. The buildings comes alive to reflect the changing colours of the setting sun. A double rainbow appeared through the clouds. Really lucky sighting! Truffle fries were very good with glasses of champagne! Good value during happy hour. Truly felt like a getaway.

Perfect view. Great drinks, and great food (both for the snacks and mains). While most other reviews talk about the food, drinks and view, I will be talking about the service. I was intending to propose, and was looking hard for Singapore bars / restaurants with the BEST views. While bars with breathtaking views are not too difficult to find in Singapore, which would be the perfect one? I sent emails and called several of these bars / restaurants. From my interactions with the managers, the bar that stood out heads over shoulders all others was Lantern. From making the reservation, to planning, to offering suggestions on the best spots / times and ideas, Germa from Lantern was extremely helpful. While I did wish to try the food at some of the other restaurants I considered, Lantern’s and Germa’s outstanding service really swayed my decision to choose Lantern as my proposal spot. The food, drinks and the view were superb. These items, however, can only take you so far. Personally, "service" at F&B outlets have never been high up on my agenda. However, the service from Germa and the team elevated my entire gastronomic experience into a night I will not forget. I will definitely be back.

Food quality is very nice. Recommendation: Include good Draught Wheat beers and stouts on the menu. I recommend this place to celebrate special occassions in the lap of modern ambience, good MBS view, great hospitality and comfortable seating.

Was a consistent 5 and now a 3 and can easily get back to 5 Have been a big fan of Lantern for more than 10 years plus The recent visit post Covid was frankly disappointing. The views remain. spectacular, the music outstanding , signatures cocktails as good . So WHY the 3 ? Found that the serving crew and most of the bar staff relatively new and still trying to figure their way around. Part of our order was fairly simple. A neat single malt and a glass of Rosé. The bar manager took our order and fulfilment was by a different person . The single malt arrived with ice and water and the glass of Rosé wine never turned up. Had to remind the same bar manager abd finally it surfaced Our classic fries order , we were being served someone else’s sweet potatoes fries, which were on the same tray. Had to correct the server and extract our fries. Then for the first time saw a promotion offer on a trolley at Lantern. In my personal view such offers are best avoided in top ended bars as the person comes in and disturbs the flow of a conversation going on . However that was not the problem. The issue was you need to buy two glasses at the same time so then you end up with the second glass which would eventually be warm by the time you end up drinking the same. The bar manager again refused to serve the wines one after the other and insisted that both glasses of wine be placed at the same time These are minor glitches and can easily be corrected by proper staffing and training to get the 3 to a 4. Luckily for me spotted two familiar faces, Mr Haizul and Anna, who thanks to their intervention brought the situation to control. Getting to 4 to 5 is simpler. Just by doing two things . 1. Please DO NOT STOP the music for 30 minutes, if the adjacent corporate event is having speeches going on. Not fair to the other paying guests. Solution is pretty simple just allow a 10 minute speech . 2. Also the Food menu requires a major makeover . Getting from a 5 to 6 would be to get a NEA cigar smoking licence for the open area at the side of the pool. 😀😀 Finally, these are ALL minor irritants. Easily fixable and I look forward to soon going back and hopefully that time it will again be a 5 out of 5 experience

Service was slow but views are good. The wine is really good too- we had moscato and it was about $114 after GST for a bottle. There is a wide selection of cocktails too 🍸 , will be back to try! And I must add, the DJ was really good!! My friends and I love the music and transitions. The music isn’t loud too and it’s pretty cooling so it’s a perfect environment to chill with friends!

The reservation team is good. Efficient. Nice ambience but the bamboo chair is not that comfy. They should replace the cushion too. Too old. Service and food menu need improvement. The male waiter (skinny) does not seem to be in the right job. Not polite during the conversation and there wasn’t any smiles throughout our 3-hour stay. The service is completely not at hotel standard that most customers expect. The food menu is very limited. There wasn’t even chicken wings. The 24-hour braised beef was nice. The lobster bun was nice too but the portion is way too small for the price ($42). Overall experiences is so so only. I give 3 stars because of the ambience and the reservation team. And also thanks for the complimentary slice of cake. Otherwise it would be a 2 star review in my opinion.

Such a nice place, I would highly recommend a visit. The lobster roll was amazing and I don't like seafood but tried it as my husband said it was amazing, and it really was. The view is incredible and they even gave us a little cake to help us celebrate our honeymoon, so nice. The only thing that let the place down was the service, having to order food and drinks off an app at such a fancy place seemed wrong and like poor service but some people might like it.

A bit bummed they close at 12a on a weekday but the view was good, company was great and the breeze was amazing. We were a group of 10 and opted to buy two bottles of vodka as it came out to $30/head and each cocktail was $30 so we got maybe 10-14 drinks from bottle service. We were here in March and it wasn’t uncomfortably hot on our visit.

Beautiful place on top of the hotel building. From entering to the hotel to going top floor it was a great experience. The decoration inside the hotel was very eye catching and attractive. On top floor it is a different world as you can stand on balcony and see the river across. I was there in the evening and the light show of marina bay was happening that time. It was a magnificent view from the balcony. The fresh breeze passing thru while the small cruise ships and small boats were passing. Great to be there.

This rooftop bar atop the Fullerton Bay Hotel offers great views of Marina Bay Sands. They give you complimentary nuts and the atmosphere is so nice and chilled. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 out of 5 is because it is ridiculously pricey. We ordered a still water and a coke and it cost more than £12 which for two non-alcoholic drinks is pretty pricey.
