Visit this bar if you want to get yelled at 🥲 Throughout our time there, my friends and I experienced so much unnecessary hostility from a female curly haired senior staff. When my phone went flat, I tried asking for help but she almost bit my head off. Food and drinks were mid and unfortunately, the atmosphere of this bar was marred by our experience with her… do not recommend!

The staff (especially this one waitress) was very rude. Extremely unprofessional with ther service and would rather socialise with her friends at other tables than cater to customers. And when we checked on our order, she literally started shouting at us. The manager came in and apologised on her behalf but the experience was terrible. We left the place early just so we don't have to deal with her. The last thing you want on a day out with friends is someone coming to your table and shouting at you just because you checked on an order that was placed 20 minutes ago.

There’s a reason why this has a lower rating than other bars around the area. The drinks took a long time to arrive. More than 20min. They then asked for more drink orders 5 min after our drinks were served. Food was ok but not ok for the price. After we declined to order anymore drinks, they turned off the lights. The only good thing is that it’s beside the Singapore river which has a nice view Would not recommend to come here again if given a choice. To answer the owner: Drink took 20min to arrive after ordering, there's no explanation on my part. if the owner really want to know more, they can spend more time in their restaurant.

This place is horrible. Paid my bill and they came back 3 times to ask me to pay again. At the end an Indian histirac lady came to me shouting leave my bar leave my bar. Avoid unless you want to be ripped off.

Both house red and white are pretty decent. The chicken wings and pork sausages with fries are good for small bites.

The manager and waiter/waitress were super rude. Not sure if this is the special culture where all of them have to be rude to the customers. They get super irritated when you take abit longer to tell them the order. Sometimes orders get mixed up, slow service response. If you want to order something you gotta wave for a good 5-10 minutes. They will ask you to finish your drink at 9:30pm and chase everyone off at 10pm sharp. “You all leave now, it is 10pm”. Disappointed but it’s okay because there are lots of good and cheaper bars nearby. Giving a star is considered a generosity because the service level is so bad, it deserves 0 star.

You won’t be short of options (or offers) trying to find a casual place for some evening drinks in this area but I was left a little disappointed with this bar. With the mass of competition it was a shame for the service to be painfully slow throughout and there seemed to be no proactivity in getting drink refills throughout the evening. It’s also noticeably not the cheapest with a lack of enticing offers the neighbouring options have. Saying that, the service of food was fast and ordering a selection of the ‘bar bites’ was great for sharing amongst a few people - the portion sizes of each was large and it all very tasty! This did redeem my opinion and I wouldn’t rule it out in the future now.

One of the nicest bar i went to. Drinks is affordable and Metta one of the server would recommend me nice drinks. Food the usual drink bites didn't disappoint too. Overall i do like he ambience as its very chill and its a nice place to have catch up with friends. I like that the music at the outside area is not too loud so i can have a conversation with my friends. Server is friendly too. It's my many time going there as its just feel very cozy.

We had what was probably the tastiest bar food I've experienced, my colleague also agreed. The mixed platter of meats, bread and dip was so good we ordered another. The hostesses who served us were very helpful and prompt. BQ Bar will be my go to place for dinner on the quay next time I'm in Singapore.

We had the beef kebab and chicken tikka set. In terms of the meats, it was really goood! The chicken tikka was very tender and the green and red chutney complimented the chicken very well. As for the kebab, LOVED the sauce in the kebab wrap. They use Naan as the wrap for the kebab wrap. Personally not a big fan as I feel the naan is quite dense and made me full pretty fast. This is just a personal choice, it’s just that I prefer kebab wraps with tortilla wrap. Fries accompanying the set were freshly fried - HOT HOT. Seasoned with Indian spices -Yummy. Service was good too!

Background music was a bit on and off, as in it kept stopping and starting - staff explained the situation though, no cables across from building and relying on wi-fi.
