👍 Peking duck was really good… nice crispy skin, good sauce. Also had this cold crab dish which was very fresh and sweet, and happened to have a lot of roe, so yum! Already cracked open, easy to eat. Don’t be fooled by the restaurant looking a bit dated. It’s a really good, authentic Chinese place. People often mention good, service, restaurant, Cantonese, wine, rice, dishes, quality, time, great,

An excellent place for fine Cantonese dining with good wine service and generally good, prompt and courteous service. The saitou fish noodles with Scallion oil was excellent. Roast duck was slightly dry. Rest of the dishes were good.

Some people might know this as an institution for good old school Chinese banquet type cuisine, but I think it's kinda overrated for my personal taste since I don't hang with the type of crowd who enjoys the vibe of the place. Their famous claypot rice (not pictured) was also not great since they took out all the lapcheong and has it separated from the white rice, and there was a lot of veggies. I prefer the messy, flavourful, steamed tog mess. Frog legs were yummy but really really expensive. Doubt I'll be back!

Excellent Cantonese cuisine. My go-to for dim sum weekend lunches with the family and a-la-carte items are really high quality. The service staff are also top-notch. Many are trained to serve wine properly because many wine connoisseurs dine there. Good idea to call beforehand for reservations and ask for their free corkage promotions.

Very nice dimsum place, we managed to walk in without reservation on a Sunday, though we had until 1pm before the next group arrived. Overall good food, definitely on the higher side for price. Service was generally decent and attentive, except for one server. For the 4 of us, average per pax was $35-40 for dimsum

Dined at Jade Palace on Mother's Day for dinner. Food was a tad bit pricey but i was impressed by the size of the wine cellar upon entering. Food-wise there's some hits anr alil bit of misses. Personally, i enjoyed the fried chicken cartilege (appetizer)& frog legs with fried ginger. Peking duck was pretty good too and their claypot rice is deceivingly flavourful (also, the way its served was different from what we see at other places). Service-wise was average, probably due to the large number of diners due to Mother's day but at times we would need to ask about things more than once before the dish arrives or what is asked for arrives

Excellent experience. The service and food are good. We had a great time. Xiang Wu Sun with Xue Cai is very special to me, hardly seen at other restaurants, and it’s excellent with Tim Sum because it’s crunchy and the taste is unique. Don’t be fooled by this unassuming dish - Garoupa Fish Congee, you will wonder why is it so expensive, but I can tell you it's worth the dollar - the freshness of the fish has dissolved into the Congee. I believe they didn't add any MSG to enhance the taste like many other places. The Roasted Pork is good - especially for those we want leaner cut (this is as close as you can get for such type of food). Another must-try - Honshimeji Vegetable Dumpling, the flavour ooze out of the dumpling. I think the chef that did the ha Kao and Siew Mai has mastery over the steaming technic. I was disappointed with the Beef Shank & Jelly Fish - the beef shank tasted like rubber and the jellyfish wasn't marinated.

Came here for a dim sum brunch. Food’s not bad, service is great. Wasn’t very crowded on a weekend so probably no need to reserve in advance. Would recommend the dim sums and the porridge.

One of the best yum cha's I've had. Service was top notch and very attentive which is reflective of the pricing as it was on the expensive end. Highlights were definitely the har gow, char siu sou and egg tarts.

Patronized this established Cantonese Restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and was overwhelmed with their quality and taste for some of the Dim Sum dishes that we have ordered. My favourite dish was their Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling that was very Crispy on the outside and fillings was generous with Crunchy Prawn & seasonings. Century Egg & Pork Congee is packed with flavours, had the right amount of saltiness and savory. Very old school taste. Their Egg Tart is pantry based and its flaky & crispy, filling of egg is smooth, creamy & moist. We had 2 tray of these. Pan-Fried Carrot, Dough Fritter Rice Noodle Roll and Fried Slice Grouper Fish, were all as good in terms of flavours & texture. However their Steam Glutinous Rice Wrapped with Lotus Leaf was not as good at least only to me, a little more salt should have been better. For Dessert, we had Molten Custard Buns (Liu Sha Bao) and wow, they were really good. Moist and Feathery with hot oozing Salt Egg Custard that were not too sweet. Crispy Red Bean pancake were also good. I will skip their Fried Ice-Cream not time as ice-cream was not frozen/harden enough, thus it was melting at speed when we cut through the cripsy crust. Other than their food and ignoring the not so friendly front desk staffs, their attentive service staffs contributed too to make our overall dining experience, a good one. We will certainly return soon.

Food was quite good, I went there many times when I was younger and came back about a year later the quality was good as always. My favourite dish is their yang chow fried rice and their pepper beef. The ppl there are very nice. However the price increase is crazy as I go more and more. The small beef is 60 bucks 😳 which is crazy as it’s such a small portion The bill was 220 for a smaller amount of food.

Great cantonese place for fun meals with friends or family. Sadly they no longer have free corkage, but if they waive corkage if you buy a bottle from them. Their wine list is pretty decent so no worries there. The food menu is diverse though their fried stuff are where things shine. The fried frog is just excellent and surprisingly rare to find elsewhere. Desserts are pretty good too and they always have seasonal fruits. Location is accessible too which is great!

Definitely one of the best Cantonese restaurants in Singapore. Excellent service & great food. Restaurant will be undergoing some renovation works in mid February & will revisit them soon. Even a simple lettuce dish was cooked so deliciously in an umami sauce. Other must try are the French pigeon, claypot rice, specialty noodles.

Ordered a combination of dim sum and Al la cart food - pork and century egg porridge, char siew rice roll, crispy dough rice roll, fried shrimp dumpling, seafood fried rice, crispy prawn ball, kai lan with sausages, salted egg pork jowl. Food is good, tasty - very acceptable standard for a Chinese Resturant. 5 stars for food. But relatively pricey a la carte food. Service very good. Was seated in a rather enclose and small room though. Rather stuffy.

The quality and amazing flavourful of dishes has been maintaining throughout the years. It has a restaurant in HK as the HQ which I often visit. Today, the food instantly teleport me back to the flavour of LUPCHEONG.

Second time to Jade Palace. Compared to the first time, the service becomes better and even impeccable. More than 5 different waiters/waitress serve us during the dining, so the plates are changed and the tea are refilled frequently. All the waiters/waitress are friendly and willing to help. Order seafood, beef, cooked broccoli and dessert. The cold crab together with the special source tastes sweet and fresh, recommend. The Lobster is fresh so the meet is firm and chewy. Black pepper beef is moderately tender and easy to chew. Broccoli is cooked just right, retaining a crisp texture without a raw smell. Sauce is fresh and sweet. Desserts (red bean cooked cake and turtle paste) also matched my expectation. No so sweet, tasted healthier. In summary, food and service are good and much above the average. Two small drawbacks: 1, high price, we four people paid more than 600 without wine. 2, the lobby is a little noisy, and not quite suitable for a quiet business dinner.

Established since 1998, the Michelin Guide listed Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant is a family style eatery located at the basement of Forum The Shopping Mall. Known for its traditional Cantonese cuisine, it has a very strong Hong Kong influence with its seafood and vegetables shipped from Hong Kong twice a week. Its signature dishes are live seafood but it also does dim sum, roast cuts and is also know for its claypot rice. They serve very good sweet & sour pork, for the record. The restaurant boasts a huge wine list, and they charge corkage of $20 if you BYO. Recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Came here once about a year ago and really liked it. Brought my family here for a meal but must agree with many that after the makeover, it's no longer worthwhile. Prices are expensive for the quality of the food. I think there is better value elsewhere. Also love the nostalgic feel of the old decor.

Average Chinese food. Excellent service. Wanted to order their claypot rice which apparently they are known for but wait time was 30-45 mins, so we ordered these instead. 1. Kurobuta Char Siew. Super fatty. I’m not even exaggerating 2.5/5 2. Peking Duck skin. Bit dry. 3/5 3. Soup of the day (some root soup) 4/5 4. Duck ba chor mee. Average, nothing special. 3/5 Total bill: $149.95

$800 for a terrible experience for 5. Food is absolutely revolting. For an expensive place like this, you'll expect the food to be at least fresh. Scallops are frozen and thawed for a long time, you can smell the staleness. The other 8-9 dishes ordered all disappointed. I get better quality food in a coffee shop. The only Saving grace is the service staff.

A secret hideout for good ol’ Cantonese food along Orchard Road! No frills and extremely delicious. Haven’t found a dish on the menu that isn’t delicious! But my all time favorite and a must have, would be the beef hor fun (yes, there is the wok hei taste) and kai lan with lapcheong!

Waah nice! Says the group of us meeting up to try their lobster noodles lunch set. The set comes with 3 types of dim sum, serving of duck and soya chicken m, lobster noodles and choice of dessert. Two thumbs up! Dim sum was refined, good stuff, an explosion of flavors in my mouth! Duck and chicken were good and tasty! The lobster was cooked well and had bite! 👍🏻We enjoyed our lunch! Will bring the family next!

My first time at Jade Palace for their weekend lobster and dim sum set lunch (minimum 2 pax). Favourites: 1. Soya sauce chicken was very fragrant and so tender. I usually don’t eat chicken skin but I couldn’t resist eating them all at Jade Palace. 2. Pork stomach soup was full of collagen and it’s obvious they used a whole trove of ingredients to get the soup to this level. Even better that it was served boiling hot! 3. A very wide range of desserts to choose from and I had the red bean soup with tang yuan. The red bean soup was sublime. Not too sweet, the right amount of red beans and it was a huge portion that could easily be shared between 2 pax. Just how I like it. The lobster noodles were also good. Noodles packed a punch while the bouncy lobsters were fresh. But I expected the serving of lobster to be larger (based on pics of the set lunch that I saw others post online). I also ordered additional dim sum on top of the set lunch - which included squid in prawn paste sauce but the prawn paste didn’t come through as strongly as I would have liked. Also be warned that Chinese tea here is relatively expensive at $4/pax. They seem to have their fair share of regulars dining there, with some customers sporting an authentic HK accent. Be sure to make a reservation. Polite and affable service.

Outstanding experience and service. Asian and Japanese-centric menu with eclectic seafood choices as well as favorites. Expect and do not be afraid, to ask for help with the menu... as they are used to non-orientals and most appreciative of your visit, however do not expect a thin crowd. The restaurant gets packed quickly so make reservations and expect to pay $75-100 USD for a great meal for a couple. This is not a picky place place for children to get hamburgers and chicken tenders, but there are great seafood or pork offerings nonetheless!

This rating is based purely on quality of food (not price) as it was a treat from a friend. We had about 10 dishes. I'll just talk about the few that stood out for me. My favourite was the beef cubes. It looks understated but the flavour was amazing. Next would be the juicy kurobata pork ribs. I'm usually not fond of frog legs but this deep fried version with crispy ginger totally swayed me. The highlight was supposed to be the claypot rice which was good though a bit underwhelming.

One of the best fine dining Cantonese style restaurants in Singapore. It's always a lovely experience to dine here. Got a chance to dine in their private cellar, which is an experience by itself.

Quite traditional Cantonese restaurant. With extensive menu. Best of all though it is byo and you can bring your own wine. The staff are highly efficient and well trained. They really know what they are doing despite they look so busy! They can even decant wine and label your glass. Of course they can also recommend from the menu...which isn't cheap.

Interesting fact about this restaurant. I have booked over the phone a number of times and never had an issue getting a table at any desired time. Alternatively I have turned up without a reservation on a few occasions and been given the look up and down and refused a table - so obviously because we are a Caucasian family, as the restaurant is nearly empty and nobody is in the queue. So disappointing in this day and age.
