This hotel is haunted (room 801) and the hotel male wear glasses front desk got attitude issue. One the first day the front desk wear glasses staff purposely changed our room from room 301 to room 801(haunted room), at first we thought high floor is good. But when we went into 801 we felt the chills, the room is colder than 301. First creepy incidents in 801 is the bible book is right on bedside table with light shining on it which is weird (normally in hotel the bible will be in the drawer). Second creepy incident, is tissue stuffed inside the fish eye on the door. Third, which is the most creepy thing, one night when my bf looked through the door gap from the toilet he mentioned that my face looks greyish. On top of the 3 creepy incidents, on the 2nd day my allergies also triggered badly. So we went to pray and request for room change, and we ended up staying in 301 (which feels so much safer). On our checked out date we mentioned to the staff that their staff and facilities got issues, and the staff gave us a customer service kind of and end with a smile to us and said “life is precious”, which means that they know that the room is haunted and have us changed into the room 801. Staff issue: 1) no privacy, we forgot to sign the attendance book he need to call to our room to ask us to come down to the lobby to sign the attendance book. Room issue: 2) the kettle all rusty 3)the bed no spring

I booked this hotel along with my friend in order to efficiently do our school projects together as it was the final week. The stay started out okay, on the first day of the hotel, a male receptionist named Scor checked us into our respective room. At first, he wrote down our room as 301 on the check-in document and key cards. However, after a few minutes, he took our key cards and check-in documents back and changed our room to 801. We did not suspect anything and went ahead into our rooms. Upon entering our rooms, a chill can be felt and the entire environment feels extremely unsettling. We talked slightly about it and continued with our own work until it was dinner time. We then went out for dinner and upon returning, there was no one at all at the receptionist counter, even the security guard was not present at the time. As it was our first day, we were not informed by Scor that we were required to sign in/out from the book placed on the desk of the reception. We went up to our room and Scor called us twice to question our actions and gave us a firm warning that our behavior cannot be repeated. At night, the room felt even more unsettling. We also noticed that the peep hole on the door had been stuffed with tissue, which we thought was a pretty weird thing to do. We took turns to shower and realise that there was a gap between the toilet door and the wall, which can be looked through to see what is outside. My friend has claimed that despite having all lights turned on that night, my face appeared grey/dark when he looked through the gap, which is honestly just downright creepy. The next day, we both fell physically ill. I am someone who never falls sick, but something somehow triggered severe allergic symptoms which required me to go to the nearest pharmacy to get some OTC medication, all while my friend had a sudden relapse of his old injuries and an onset of moderately severe pain. We decided to request for a change of room and was moved to room 301 and everything was okay from then on. Fast forward to the last day of our stay, we packed out luggage and checked-out of the hotel. We decide to tell the receptions at that time about what happened. To our surprise, he simply smiled said, "Life is precious." and thanked us for our stay. This has left me and my friend very creeped out. I hope this review helps others decide if they should go ahead with the booking of this hotel.

The location is good and it is a walkable distance (15min) to little india and arab street, national museum and cityhall Also, a lot of bus routes are nearby and it is also close to bugis station. It takes less than an hour and a 5min walk to reach the airport and most popular scene. The staff in counter are nice and can speak mandarin, cantonese and English. However only three sockets are available in a room for 3 ppl and only 1 access card is provided. As the access card is required for accessing the relevant floor in the lift and providing electricity in the room,it would be quite inconvenient if roommates would like to go out individually. A 500ml bottle water is provided for every person per day. Slippers are not available in the room and has to ask the counter staff to provide one. Toothbrush and toothpaste are provided but no good.

Booked their interconnecting rooms for my family of 4 (1 queen bed and 2 single beds). During check in, i provided the receptionist Wendy and another lady staff with IC for myself and my husband and the student identity cards for my 2 older children since they were not issued with IC yet. Both staff were very rude and rejected the checking in of my 2 children citing that they were below 18 years old and their hotel policy does not allow those below 18 to check in. I was flabbergasted as i have booked the hotel stay for staycation with my family and this is the first time i am not allowed to check in a hotel with my children. To make things worse, the hotel staff did not provide me with any solution and rudely asked me "Then how?". I was speechless.. After i regained my composure, i asked them why i am not allowed to check in the rooms with my 2 children. The hotel staff again replied rudely and demanded me to prove that they are my children. Luckily, I myself remembered that my Singpass app will show the details of my birth children and I managed to settle this crisis using my own wits. Hotel staff were unprofessional and definitely lack of basic competency. I should not have gone through this bad experience in the first place. Another issue with the hotel was we need to take our temperature and write our full particulars in a book whenever we re-enter the hotel even if we stepped out for a short while, despite us scanning the Trace Together at the main door. Booked on Agoda so cannot cancel the booking from the start. Hope the hotel will provide training to their staff on basic customer service.

Staff were very unfriendly and arrogant. When we were checking in, there was also an argument between the staff and another guest with voice raised. The corridor on Level 8 was very hot and the AC was not working, it felt like entering a sauna. The room is also visibly old. But the worst is still the staff's treatment towards us - very arrogant with no hospitality at all. We moved to a different, nearby hotel because of this. The only star is given for the admittedly very strategic location.

I didn’t check reviews prior to my stay, hence when I secured a good deal price-wise at a short notice for a staycation with my friends in the connecting rooms, I didn’t have any expectation. Rooms were pretty decently sized, I’ve stayed in places that cost me more but had smaller rooms so this was definitely a plus. It was clean as well, and felt that it was renovated recently. I must say the staff members could be a little nicer, but a little PR would get you on their good side and a lot of good things will come your way. Overall, it was a good stay, don’t mind doing it again if there is a similar offer! :)

Great location, excellent service, very clean rooms, but uncomfortable cheap beds and poor sound reduction. The good: I get bad dust allergies so my standards for a clean room are high, but this place exceeded those expectations. Everything was spotless, not a spec of dust anywhere. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our first night the bed was so uncomfortable (springs jabbing me, rolling into a slump in the middle) that I didn’t sleep at all. When I told the man at the front desk the next morning he immediately changed us to another room, which was even a free upgrade, and even checked that everything was okay the next day. The location was also fantastic for public transport. There were at least 4 train stations within 10mins walk for multiple lines, and lots of bus stations on top of that. The bad: Even though the mattresses in the new room were better, they were still cheap spring mattresses that you could feel the springs through because they didn’t even have a foam layer, just a thin foam topper put on. The sound reduction between rooms is poor. You can very clearly hear people in adjoining rooms talking and especially everything in the hallway.

Stayed 4 nights at Summer View Hotel Singapore in mid May 2023. Overall was a great stay! Pro: - location is nearby everything. From convenient stores, food halls and MRT/Bus Stations. - we booked from 3rd party platform which was cheaper than the official hotel price. - They tried to check-in us 2 hours before the hotel policy rules - First time the staffs were so stressful and even did not smile. HOWEVER it changed after one night we stayed there. They are friendly. - Cleaning room was done everyday. - The room 607 size was okay for two and 2 big luggages and 2 small cabin luggages. No: - No Views from room 607 - The bed is so hard. I had always back-pain every morning. - The AC won’t be so cold for first 2 hours, but it will become colder in the morning. Better to set it up before freezing in the morning.

The room was immaculately clean. Size was also decent. The deal breaker was the beds, they were simply too soft. Left with an aching back and neck.

My sister and I stayed in this hotel for 3days and 2nights. Overall our experience was good. Excellent in cleanliness. Our room doesnt have a cupboard but we managed. If you booked hotel with breakfast, the restaurant is different from the hotel so the you have to get a coupon from the front desk to redeem your breakfast. The location is near to Bencoolen subway station. Maybe it’s like 5-10mins walk from the hotel. There are alot of restaurants and two 7/11 nearby.

Was surprised by this little hotel nestled in an unknown part of town. It is still easily accessible and very much walking distance to a lot of good locations. Furthermore, the room size is definitely worth it for the price. The toilet is huge with the best part being the separate wet and dry area! Have had a good time the many times I have visited Summerview!

By far one of the worst hotels in Singapore. I did not have the time to read the bad reviews and unfortunately made a booking here. The female receptionist was very rushing. I booked the hotel WITHOUT KNOWING that I am unable to bring in Visitor or Guest into the hotel. Only after I paid for 3D2N, I then received a very prompt message informing me I could not bring in visitor or guest. Dishonest business, lack of respect and appalled by the service standards of this hotel. If only there was an option to give 0 stars. I'd rather book for a stay in Hotel 81 if I'm being honest. I had to go through a very bad experience for me to change my itinerary plans of dress-changing for my Solemnization into other ways. 0/10 , DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL.

The receptionists were alright but lacked enthusiasm and hospitality. Nothing out of the ordinary. Lifts needed card access so the building was very secure with a 24/7 reception. They also provided us umbrellas during an unexpected downpour with the exchange of our hotel cards. The place looked relatively new and the toilets were quite clean. They had ample of shower gels provided in a large bottle and toothbrushes/ toothpastes. Hair dryer was basic with no cool setting. The air conditioning was quiet and was regulating the temperature quite well. Boiler and bottled water were provided. No closet to place your clothes, just a metal bar and some hangers. They didn't provide neither bathrobes nor slippers. One peeve we had was with the bed, it was very thin and was an old, springy mattress, could feel the spring poke through on my knees. It wasn't dense and lack solidity. For this reason I'm not pleased with this hotel. It was quite spacious but the space was slightly abnormal, could have included some furnishings such as a couch. But the room overall is very, very basic. There were no amenities and facilities that we could utilise in the hotel. There was a bus stop (that goes to town) in front of the hotel and a convenience store around the corner. Nanyang school of the Arts is nearby with small eateries too. The hip part of town.

Was told to wait outside when delivering food . Makes no sense. I'm not spreading any airborne diseases. Waiting at a corner will probably take 1 sqft at most. Told me I can't wait inside. If u are a rider like me. Skip this hotel altogether.

My family and I stayed at the Sun Crystal Hotel in Singapore for two days, and overall, we were very satisfied. The hotel's environment was clean, and the rooms were comfortable with prompt daily cleaning services. The hotel's location was convenient, with three MRT stations within a five-minute walk. There were also plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making shopping and dining very convenient. The hotel staff were friendly and eager to answer our questions and provide assistance. The only downside was that one of the two rooms we booked had a noticeably faulty spring bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep in and affecting our rest. I hope the hotel takes this issue seriously and promptly replaces the mattress to avoid impacting the stay experience for other guests. In summary, we were still very satisfied with our stay at the Sun Crystal Hotel in Singapore. We would consider staying here again on our next visit to Singapore and would recommend it to our friends and family.

I would say the location of this hotel is convenient as it is within walking distance from Rochor (downtown mrt line) and Bugis (east west mrt line) and also eateries. However, the receptions were rude during check in. No greetings and impatient during check in process as we were checking in 3 rooms with my parents (older folks) and kid. On the second day of stay, the reception still had the cheek asking my brother rudely on whether he is a hotel guest when he was accompanying my parents back to the hotel room after dinner. The hotel is considered clean. Guess this is usually the norm in the country 😅. However, the shower water pressure was low and water temperature often too hot for comfort. The room service on the 2nd day was simply tidying up the mattress and clearing the rubbish bin. The hotel should have stated clearly in the booking website if no room service will be provided on the following day. We did not bother to check with the receptions because my family just can’t wait to check out from the hotel. It was raining heavily the next morning. My brother had to borrow an umbrella to shelter my parents to the taxi. The hotel staff didn’t even offer to escort my brother with the returned umbrella after he returned it to the reception at the front door. He had no choice but brave the rain to the taxi. I am so embarrassed and disappointed with my hotel arrangement for my family. I read a lot of reply from the hotel to those low rating reviews/feedback, but seems like the hotel management does not take this seriously and has not done much to improve their services.

The receptionist remembers you by name, personalised service received. They are well coordinated and well managed, they stated everything clearly such that you do not have to call them to ask what to expect or do. Our hotel room is spacious and clean. Housekeeping is good. The bathroom is within my expectation too. The only thing I disliked was, the WiFi was having issues and they had to do a maintenance/upgrade during my stay, which greatly inconvenienced me as I could not work.

Unpleasant experience before my stay even began. Called in to customer service on the morning of the day I'm supposed to check in. Was served over the phone by a lady named Grace. My enquiry was if an early check-in was possible. Without taking down my booking reference number, she just gave me a definite answer that my room would not be ready until 3pm. I was puzzled how she could be so sure when there are so many room types, so I asked if she would like my booking reference number to double check. The final straw came when she responded with "Er... No la... I'm not free right now." I'm baffled by the level of customer service (or lack of) for a simple enquiry that I'm sure all hotels hear everyday. I cannot imagine if all guests are brushed off like this and certainly hope that's not the case. However, to be fair to the establishment, I will review and edit this post accordingly at the end of my stay. Stay tuned. (Updated) During the stay, the receptionists and security guards were friendly and helpful, they don't strive to go the extra mile but they don't disturb you unnecessarily either. However, Grace was nowhere to be seen throughout my stay. The rooms were simple and clean, bed was decently comfortable. Wish bedroom slippers could be provided though. Waffles at the cafe downstairs was fantastic, and the hotel's location made it very easy to get around and find food. If prices were competitive, I might consider staying there again.

The lady at the front desk who appears to be Wendy was rude, unprofessional, condescending and sarcastic; basically ruined the atmosphere even before we checked-in. Doesn't seem to know the basics of customer service or communication. I have been to several hotels and this experience is the first. Booked a room for 3 but only 2 managed to check in; I get that there are safety measures in place but even as we proactively called in to check days before the actual date, they confirmed that the 3 pax booking was still on. The reception was in no way apologetic although it was a lapse on their part- request for a partial refund was met with denial and no compensation was offered. Key card to our actual room was not working and had to change our room, new room only had 2 beds despite booking for 3 pax. I've taken the time to send my feedback to the sales team, the manager seems to justify their lack of competence instead of addressing them. Long story short, save yourself the frustration and book another hotel. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Terrible experience.

Stayed here on the 16th of Sept. Front desk receptionist rude and lazy. I can’t even tell if she thinks she’s the customer or she thinks she’s the boss. 🤦🏻‍♂️ To be fair maybe she’s underpaid and she hates her job. If that’s the case then I guess this hotel needs to look into it’s salary scheme. Whatever the reason it definitely makes the hotel look bad.

I stayed at the Summer View hotel from 5-8 Nov. Everything was OK. The room was clean and quite big. It was around 300 meters from the MRT Rochor. It was pricy though, you might have gotten a better deal with another hotel or fine one that is right next to the subway. I gave one star because their service was very bad. They gave one keycard for a two persons stay, so I had to ask them to press the elevator button every time I went out and my mother was still in the room. I did not complain though as I understood that it was their policy. The deal breaker for me was they refused to confirm my booking that I made via Agoda. I was eligible for a cashback with Agoda, but the hotel needed to confirm my stay. I am not sure how the hotel would have to do it, but I do not think it would be a long or difficult process. They flatly refused me and said it is not related to the hotel and they could not provide me 'any document'. I did not ask for documents, just a confirmation on Agoda page...I am attaching the pictures to confirm my stay. If you like it or happen to have business near the hotel, go for it. Or find yourself another deal, there are plenty of hotels in the area.

I like that this hotel does not allow ‘visitors’ into the bedrooms. Great policy!! Why would you bring visitors into a quiet space of rest and sleep, a private space where other paying guests do not appreciate noise. I cannot believe people give 1 star review simply because hotel is being considerate to all guests, and the excuses they give for bad customer service when they don’t get their way. Go meet in a cafe, a mall, a garden, in the lobby… whatever, not in a hotel room.. Just booked this hotel because of this policy.

The staffs were very friendly. Oh and the highlight was the LOBBY, the smell was really niceee 🫶🏻 and the room was pretty aesthetic with the city view. You need to give this hotel a try when you come to Singapore! It’s only 5 mins walk to Rochor MRT station and around 10 mins walk to Bugis Street. Also really close to Lasalle College and NAFA!

Good location. Amazing Staff. Beds are a little on the hard side plus aircondition system needs a little upgrading. Oh and no bidet in toilets was also a turn off but overall good stay and experience. It was only 700m from Sim Lim Square and Bugis.

Highly not recommended. I have stay so many hotels locally and abroad. Never have i met such a very bad experience i received from the female front desk. We booked through Agoda and what they offer is totally different from the picture indicated. No window and we wanted a double bed with window. What they offer is a twin bed with window and another two bed (one double and a twin) with no window which is unnecessary for us. The reason she give was fully booked and last minute booking. If fully booked they should blocked out instead of deceiving the patron and refused to refund. I booked with agoda do many times and never had such a disappointment.

Booked through the agoda limited time deal , but u might wanna check the t&c and reviews , this is definitely not for friends, or if u intend to have someone over , skip this place at all cost . Room and hotel is pretty standard for a 3 star , clean and tiny , room is simple and seems like the renovated recently . Location wise is very good , 2 Mrt within 5-10mins distant , food and convenient stall easily accessible . Few things that they don’t deserve much stars , U can literally hear the room next door talking , not arguing or kids screaming , just talking. The no visitor policy and covid penalty is ridiculous, the worst to be honest, even budget hotels allow guest over ? And to see they have a signboard if u bring visitors then it’s trespassing, they will call the police. If you are covid positive during the stay , you need to pay a fine of SGD$150 to sanitize the room, are you telling me u don’t sanitize even when a guest checkouts with no covid symptoms ? You also need to sign an agreement for this, lol. And seems like Emily from Reservation has some attitude issue , was asking to reschedule due to my recent wisdom tooth surgery, and got replied with a condescending attitude. I give the stars accordingly , 1 for Location , 2nd For Cleanliness , 3rd the staffs greet me every-time when they saw me, from the guard to housekeeping, but definitely won’t return due to its weird policy , remember to check before u book from Agoda since they highlighted it , you have been warned.

Perfect for the tighter budget folks who want a clean, peaceful stay in a good location. Just a 5-7 min walk to the Bencoolen blue line station. Went here on business. Sufficient for a quick two-night stay in Singapore. Room is quite small, but nothing all that different from most budget hotels across CBD. Very clean, helpful staff (although limited as it is a self-service hotel).

very poor experience especially during the check in process, read properly while checking in they will really look into ur passport carefully to charge more money for kids age 10+ place are clean but the staff are not friendly. not worth the stay, luckily we only stay here for one day, the rooms are also very small and weirdly the front desk keeps on calling us asking for our contact info which we dont want to give, look at the fridge i dont even know what fits into the fridge that small lol. not gonna lash out to a review. but go ahead and try and experience it urself i bet ull be very happy with the lack of hospitality from the staff and happy with the small space too lol hv fun. the beds are of very cheap quality the springs will plunge deep and do not provide support, luckily the ac is still cold and the room is clean

Agreed with other reviewers that it’s by far one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. Started from the check-in, I and my colleagues requested the staff to make a phone call whether can they reserve a table in the restaurant for us, they said “please do it in your room” … like LOL!!🤌🤌 2nd) Be prepared! Every time you request for anything (for me just 1 towel), you will be asked to go all the way down to the lobby to grab it yourself. Isn’t this a service that the hotel has to provide?? 🤌🤌 3rd) the bed wasn’t comfortable and the Aircon was installed right in front of your face (when you lay in bed) which it will blow at you to sleep well 😂. 4) the manner of this hotel staff is super friendly. Whenever you make a request, you will be surprised!(Sarcasm) consider to improve this so you can get 2-3 stars at least?

It's on the main road. You can take the subway. Near Rochor Station, Blue Line, walk another 400 meters Hotel is very clean, there is a space at the end of the bed that is a bit narrow, the bathroom is clean, a mirror with a light like a ring light. The shower is powerful and there is warm water as well. Able to call a housemaid to make a room and ask for new towels every day get 2 bottles of drinking water a day, every day has a kettle to boil noodles Only one key card is given for each room and be used to tap when entering the elevator. The hotel does not allow guests who do not stay in the room Good location, walking distance to Bugis, Raffle. If you are good at walking, you can also walk to Little Indie. I rate this hotel 9/10. I would like to deduct 1 point because the walls are thin. doesn't keep sound When other guests walk through the room, they will hear it.

Pretty good! The room was a bit small but clean and we were out all day so it was ok. Only recorded a video so the cutout is pretty blurry... 😅 Pros are about 400m from Rachor MRT (~800m from Bugis+ Mall MRT), 2 food courts nearby, friendly staffs always greeting, quickly checkin & checkout process, clean room every day, water in restroom is very strong and heats up quickly. Cons are the soundproofing is not very good (we were on the 8th floor and can hear clearly the laundry noise at night), no toilet spray (whyyyyy!!!), slippers is made from paper or thin cloth or something so it cannot be used for get in restroom becuz it's very slippery, and quite far from the airport.

Stayed there for 3 nights with my son. Hotel room and premises were very clean and well kept, security was good as you have to pass through the front desk and security. The only thing was that the rooms were a bit small for 2 people even as a twin room, it is an older hotel, so was probably designed as such. No proper coffee house but many food shooe and a couple of food courts within nearby walking distance, also a 7-11 across the road. Walking distance to 2 MRT stations, and also to Serangoon and Bugis areas. Bus stop right opposite the hotel. Only drawback was the size of the room and the slightly lower pricing of it.

This hotel is strategically located within easy reach of public transport and many eateries. However, the hotel rate is rather high for a basic room in an older building. Service is reasonably good.

Very efficient front desk, quite spacious room for SG room standard, very helpful staff. The bathroom is by far the best I have ever had in SG, water was very strong, water temperature was easy to adjust. There are good food places nearby, and a 7-eleven right opposite of the hotel. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting SG.

Terrible receptionist Wendy, she was very rude and her tone was sarcastic. It was the furthest thing from “customer service. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Visit at your own risk. Emailed the hotel regarding the disappointing experience, but the staff still couldn’t be bothered to resolve the issue or provide any type of compensation. Instead, they accused me of lying. Overall it was a “wonderful” experience.

stayed in a deluxe connecting room for 1 night, room is quite spacious and clean. only guests who are 18 years old and above are able to check in, and those below 18 would need parents to accompany for check in. overall it’s a decent stay, with a fast check-in procedure. the aircon is abit noisy. no tissue paper provided and you can request for room slippers for free. there’s a mini fridge in the room but not cold enough to keep my drinks cool. tv only has local channels and the quality isn’t good, like 480p. receptionists are friendly as well. western breakfast is served in the cafe beside the hotel. portion is small so would suggest going out to other places to have breakfast. the big plus point is it’s a really good location. overall, it’s a good place to stay if you’re looking for a few days stay.

Super worth the price, very spatious floor, and bathroom is great for staycays with friends as the bathroom, toilet and shower area all have individual doors which segregate it

Front desk staff is friendly, especially the night shift. Pleasant to be greeted every night when I return back. Room were a bit pricey for the quality I got, and the shower tap came off easily.

Summerview hotel was a great hotel for our stay. The staff are super helpful, the location is central and close to restaurants, shops and transportation. The room was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and great for a stay with kids. Recommend 100%.
