👍👍 Nice finding. Tried Dark Matter, Oat Milk Latte and cheesecake - all was great. The highlight was the Dark Matter, is is very special coffee (creamy latte with brown sugar and a bit of salt - my guess). Highly recommend. Good aroma. Would be better if it were more robust as this was a single shot. Good texture. Beans from local roaster Glyph. Triple cheese and ham sandwich was good. Liked the rosemary sprinkled on it.

Wow! Have been wanting to visit but somehow missed their opening hours for the several times we were at Esplanade, but yesterday was our lucky day. A quirky coffee spot with unique offerings that don’t disappoint, and good vibes to-go. Love the little details to the shop design and experience, including the colouring mini-bucket, and absolutely obsessed with their Lor Bak Toastie - crusty and fluffy rosemary bread, cheese, pickled carrot and radish/cucumber(?), and fatty lor bak pork belly. An unexpectedly beautiful combination of flavours and textures.

The coffee bar is hidden at a secluded corner, won't be visible if you did not look for it deliberately. Small cozy place. We had their signature dark matter, which was really good. Food choices are limited, would be better to have a proper meal before popping by for a drink.

It’s a bit hard to find this gem at first, but it’s totally worth to come and try their delicious coffee and toasties! Had their signature “Dark Matter” and Shroom toasties (the actual name was a lot longer, but you get the idea) $13.5 was not particularly cheap, but the satisfying size make it proper nutrition packed meal and worth every bucks!

Chanced upon this quirky cafe at Esplanade mall. Loved the houjicha latte! They’ve got cute games you can play at the cafe as well as colouring paper for those who want something to do while waiting for their food/drinks.

Quaint little coffee bar tucked in Esplanade Mall. Perfect environment for a little pick me up in the afternoon. Flat white was interestingly creamy with a hint of sweetness and a perfect balance of acidity. Staff was friendly and patient! Wish they had their cheesecake and other sweet pairings to match with their coffee.

This Coffee Bar hides in a corner of the Esplanade, a good place for quiet chill. Was feeling a little hungry and decided to check out this place 30mins just before my shows starts. Ordered a Dark Matter coffee and cheese cake for a quick filling. What came as a little surprise was the brown sugar coating on the cup which serve as a little tease on the lips as one savours the coffee. The coffee was easy to drink though i found it more milky than aromatic, which makes $8 a cup quite pricey. The cheesecake was pretty normal. What I like about this cafe was that they offered small papers of drawing for their customers to colour while waiting for their orders to arrive, which was quite thoughtful of them. 4 stars for good vibes, may try their toasts next time if I have more time.

Been trying to come here but kept missing their opening hours. Good vibes here and delicious lor bak toastie. Coffee is by Glyph and was so good that my picky dining partner was satisfied.

Must-Try: Dark Matter. It's my favourite coffee drink in the world now! Seriously. The secret ingredient that I'm not sure if I can disclose, ok better not haha, is just BRILLIANT! It's something that is very local but no one thought of adding into coffee before. Also loooove the piakssants.

Really solid cup of coffee that had me returning. They also serve a really unique coffee called Dark Matter which has a special local flavoured ingredient, a must try!

Located at a hidden corner in Esplanade Mall, the menu at Sanity offers a range of classics (like your flat whites or long blacks), as well as the creative (from their orange-infused to soy-laced coffees). If that's not sufficient, they also have warm toast and croissants. (The Nutella 'piakssant' is a crowd-pleaser!)

Hidden gem place that rewards great coffee and food. Be sure to find them as its really hiding at one corner across ladyrinth restaurants. Place is small. Price reasonable. Rose caramel latte($6) Ask and they shall make for you. Not in menu. Floral caffeine. Quite smooth and milky. Dark Matter($8) Sweet savoury at its best. Sugar Crunch and Dark soy pairing in a milky coffee. Shroom not zoom party Toastie($13.50) Portion is big. Shroom and cheese. Comes with chips and salad.

Small cosy cafe at a hidden part of Esplanade. It’s a case of seek or you miss it. Flat white was good. Espresso wasn’t too acidic. Choc cake might look small but it was packed full of flavours. It really hit the spot as described in the menu Osmanthus oolong was just ok. The flavours got diluted quite fast for a 48hr brew. Thank you ladies!

Insane! That’s the word to describe. Ordered the Dark Matter in a takeaway cup. Was blown away by how the cup was made to be in this way together with the coffee. It’s great crafted coffee that has a good amount of crema which have a nice aftertaste too. Will come back soon for the awesome vibes there ;) What’s more it’s located in Esplanade!

A small cozy cafe with nice industrial interior finishings and childhood decorations. Had been returning to this cafe whenever in the area to try the different food and drink items on their menu. Am still impressed with the food in terms of the taste, quality and quantity which is definitely enough to make a hungry person happy. In terms of drinks, there are few selections (ie. Cold Brew Osmanthus Oolong tea, Soda Espresso etc) which are special and good. Overall can feel the cafe owners’ effort to create the menu items, taste, creative naming of the food items and the cafe decor really make my time here always enjoyable. Of course, their service are really friendly!!

Dark matter coffee. Must try! One of a kind. Smooth, salty and sweet all at once. My kid had non-caffeinated #hopethroughthenight + sea salt nutella croissant (they call it piakssant here. “piak” is the sound of something being flattened). Walloped it up! He’s selective when it comes to food. So for a mom, that’s a five-star winner! Bonus: Owner of the bar breaks out in perfect pitch. Special request only or when a 90’s song is on.

One of the better coffee that I’ve tried. it’s better that SB, I think. Piakssant is nice, something very different and you have a choice of ordering them sweet or savoury😍

A small and charming independent coffee bar in a hidden corner of the mall. Great coffee and small bites. A good place for celebrity-spotting too. For vegans, they use Oat.ly here as their oat milk option. Good for takeaway and dine-in although it can get busy at times.

$8 for dark matter but very worth it! First shot of caffeine for 2021. Diya was also really humble and welcoming. Love this place and room2f which is just adjacent to Sanity. Great place to do work at, they have sockets too! (Btw, Diya looks like Awkwafina)

This little coffee shop is worth finding. (It's upstairs at Esplanade, roughly above Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.) We tried the Dark Matter, their specialty coffee; and Hope through the Night, the chocolate specialty drink. Both were delicious and have the same secret ingredient; ask the friendly staff to tell you more.

Had a coffee and Fudge Brownie. Coffee was superb, Brownie satisfied my craving. I highly recommend this place tucked away in the Esplanade. Sorry no photo. Again this was so good, the photo was an afterthought.

Great coffee and space! Must try/ haves: Dark Matter and Hawaiian Piakssant! They do seasonal coffee specials, that has a unique twist. My kiddos love their ice chocolate and sea salt Nutella piakssant. Def a cafe that has everyone covered!

Great coffee and awesome service here. Wide variety of filter options as they have beans from many roasters (local and overseas). Their El Salvador beans tasted really good: nutty and chocolatey. It would be good if they could have a self service counter for water because they only serve it over the bar.

I like the Hawaiian Piakssant, it's so full of flavours... that doesn't overwhelm. Dark matter is really yummy and oh, pls make the Christmas maple drink a staple instead of a seasonal thing! It's delicious!

Had coffee and the hawaiian piakssant. I really like the Piakssant and coffee was good! Thank you for the good service it surely was nice to have a friendly welcome! Will be back for more coffee and piakssant and the rosti which was recommended as well.😁

A cool hideout tucked at a cosy corner of the Esplanade Mall. Tried the Margherita Piakssant and Iced Lemon Tea. Especially love the Piakssant due to its fine combination of butter from the pastry, some cheese, spices and freshness of the tomatoes. Their homemade Ice Lemon Tea really packs a zesty punch. My friend tried their Dark Matter with cheesecake and she loved them too.The baristas are really friendly! Would love to visit again soon!
