As the saying goes, "a picture paints a thousand words"... I saw the scrambled eggs on the poster of what M&S claims they serve... and in excitement I thought, wow... how creamy! And to my horror when I see my supposedly scrambled eggs turned out to be microwaved eggs smashed into a somewhat Roblox looking pixels. Terrible texture! Tasted nothing like eggs! After 2 mouthfuls, I did not know what I was eating. In true honesty, I think the management at M&S should really go for cooking lessons, learn how to cook scrambled eggs and probably have a team bonding session at the same time. Too much of a hassle? Maybe just visit their cafe and order scrambled eggs. One would reconsider life choices after eating a mouthful of it. Oh man... I am not even at a Thousand word count yet... but you get my drift... Not great, wait... terrible...

@ Wheelock place Has a couple of outdoors tables & few indoors ones at the cosy corner of the main store rear exit of Wheelock place ! Got great service from a girl named JJ! Always smiling , cheerful polite & very courteous! And yes they serve water as well …on the house ! Tasted the awesome apple crumble & centre meltz chocolate cakes ! Great being on one for one Valentine’s Day promotion! Will come again to try the breakfast & lunch ! Went back for a lunch experience and was not disappointed. There’s a decent spread with healthy choices and value for money.

My husband and I visited this cafe on a Friday afternoon about 1:30pm. It was not particularly busy for that time of day. The waiting staff, a young chap seemed tired looking. Wearing a mask, he mumbled when we tried to ask for some ‘equal’ sweetener. He did not seem to understand what it was, we showed him a sachet which we carried it around ourselves. He went off, bringing us brown sugar. This was obviously an inexperience staff. Not holding him responsible for that lack of knowledge, we proceeded to order our food. For that money spent in this cafe, this is definitely not value for money. We ordered a cappuccino, a macchiato, fruit pancake and a sourdough avocado. All these came to £45. We definitely would not be visiting this cafe again. The portions were really small. The pancake portion was child size. The staff were not knowledgeable, service was non existence.

Oh M&S. Why oh why. I’ve got to say, I love your “our best ever” mac n cheese. I was hoping that the cafe would be of the same tasty quality. I sat down with excitement, keenly ordering. Sadly the microwaved mac & cheese served in the cafe was horrible, reminded me of nuclear hot petrol station food, only thing missing was the plastic container. Giving one star as the bread was tasty… Skip the cafe. Grab the “our best ever”, go home and eat it with a cold beer in front of the tv.

Noisy and the service staff seem slightly inexperienced. However, I would come back for a quick and nice lunch due to the reasonable prices. It's just straightforward cafe food. The English muffin base of my eggs Benedict was a little soggy but still a rare value for money find in orchard. (My friend had the fish and chips - balanced portion of fish, potato wedges and peas.)

Bought the chocolate muffin for takeaway. Affordable for a cafe price. Able to heat up the muffin and it was somewhat chocolate-ty. the small icing at the top was sweet. Early morning was good for a quiet meal

Nice place for simple afternoon tea. The one cafe I go to for traditional English scones, with jam and clotted cream. At only $10 per scones set, it’s served with tea of your choice. Very good value for money.

Tried their continental breakfast which served with tea. I don’t really enjoy the breakfast set. But the ambience is nice here. People came here for meetings, taking a tea coffee break or doing their work. I will come again to try their other dishes

In need of a place for a quick bite to pacify two cranky (and hungry) toddlers, so we settled down at M&S Cafe in Wheelock Place after our shopping was done. Ordered the Kid’s Cod Fingers & Chips, Crumpets, Cod Fish Cakes and stone-baked Garlic bread. Garlic bread was underwhelming, although the butter was very fragrant. There was hardly any hit of garlic and it tasted more like a naan. The Cod Fingers & Chips were decent, with the chips outshining the cod fingers which were just your pedestrian frozen cod fingers fried to a crispy, dry consistency. The chips were pillowy and warm, and easily the highlight for the children. Cod Fish Cakes were dry, like the cod fingers, and I needed to sip on my water or coffee to have it go down easier. Crumpets were the dish of the day, with the fragrant butter topped off with berry jam compote. It was crispy and crunchy on the outside; soft, chewy and pillowy on the inside. Perfect! Would come back to try their High tea set. Rated 3 stars for good value, but average food quality.

Service was subpar. Ordered extra avocado and they forgot the order, when I reordered it, it took a long time to come. I ordered a matcha latte as well and it tasted horrible. I gave feedback to the cafe and they refused to take it off my bill. I didn't even drink it. My suggestion to anybody in the area is to head on over to Starbucks or Privé instead for a real breakfast that's worth your time and money. Clearly, I'm never coming back to M&S Cafe ever again.

Pretty decent spread. Caters to the western taste pallete more but good quality food at a reasonable price. Tried the cheddar melt toast and salmon with cream cheese bagel.

Menu looked promising but the food fell short of expectations. Butter chicken tasted microwaved with chicken in unappetising shreds. Service never seemed to come round to our table and we took a long time just to make payment. For the price, there are many better options in Wheelock.

World’s yawn, worst chicken salad chicken ever, made by a chef who evidently hates salad orders. It looks even less appetising in real life.

Came by for lunch yesterday and tried the Chicken & Mushroom Pappardelle: $18. The meal was very filing and wholesome with garlic bread, pasta and salad. Chicken was tender and mushroom sauce was indeed very delicious. However, the salad could be better with slightly more dressing. The service could also be improved. My lunch partner and I ordered the same food. Hers came and mine was left sitting on the counter while 1 waitress was serving drinks to another table and 1 was just standing there. We had to inform them that there is 1 more set pending.

I want to leave 0 star. The food was not fresh and service was bad. Watermelon was watery and smells sour. Salmon I ordered was smelly and stinky, the color was dark and clearly not fresh at all. I asked to change and the staff and chef said it would be the same if change. They finally changed it for me, but not very responsive and polite. Even my 6 years old kid could taste the difference. The quality was the worst I tried. Staff attitude was really not good. If you don’t want to get sick, please avoid coming here. You can buy from their supermarket and it would be much better. Very bad experience of dining here.

I guess you can't go wrong with a Jacket Potato, but quite a few places manage to. M&A Cafe did a great job, tasty and juicy. Good menu of English favorites. Some things were not available though, which is a bit odd

Always packed but so grateful for a seat of 3 & on a weekday. Food was fabulous. So recommend it.

Food is disappointing at best. Ordered the pancakes which came rubbery and were inedible once cool. The club sandwich is a joke. Adding an extra slice of warm bread in the middle of a chicken sandwich does not make it a “club sandwich”. The coffee tastes like brown water. The service staff all behaved as if they had something better to do. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Afternoon tea set was nice, but didn't come with enough cream, and upon asking for more were met with quite a lot of animosity. The tea also took a long time to come, by the time it did we had almost finished the food. And then there's a mandatory service charge...

Practically non-existent service. We were not given a menu and took one off an adjacent table. Was here with an 86-year-old relative but left after quite a long wait for a simple fruit juice and coffee order. During that time we saw two groups seated after us receive their meal and cake orders....

Honestly the food is shocking. Did not expect a $17 bef GST fish & chips to look like this and taste blend. The cappuccino was good and served in a big cup

A lot of people strangely at this corner And can noisy also. Food is affordable and average or okay, not bad variety in the menu. Afternoon tea set $30++

Had tea, apple crumble ice cream and coffee walnut cake, The cake was laced with palmy oily cream and overly sweet. Apple crumble - didn't see much of any apples beside overly sweet crumble. Ambience was nice but the desserts are really not worth paying for.

Tried the Four Scrambled eggs lunch set and it did not live up to my expectations. The presentation was not like the picture at all with the egg placed alongside the bread instead of on it. The eggs were quite bland and not well seasoned. On the other hand, the hot cross buns were quite good, sweet and well toasted.

Stopped by for tea cos needed a place to sit down and rest. Ordered the cake set with drinks. Cakes are on the sweeter side and dense. Drinks are ok. Prices relatively affordable compared to most other cafes along Orchard. Service ok. Pleasant but not the most aesthetic place to chill.

We came here to chill and people watch and not so much for the drinks or food. With the right expectation in mind, we enjoyed our visit. We ordered a cappuccino and the cake set that comes with Americano plus a slice of the cake of the day. Can’t say we enjoyed the cake but the coffee is okay. Good place to take a small rest before we continue with our shopping.

😐 This is ecstatically the best looking amongst the PS Cafes. They have a good selection of food and beverages that some might consider pricey. But their cakes and deserts are very good. It’s a great place to chill in the afternoons and also good for sundowners after a long day. It’s always a pleas...
