Very old school kopitiam. Very nice fishball noodle. Love the noodle, the chilli, the fish dumpling (he-kiow) and the soup! Two interesting aunties operating the coffee shop will command you around but they are really nice ladies. You'll be surprise, there is table service! Place your order and kopi, noodle will be served. ( not sure if this is only during COVID-19 period). Kopi-o is nice. The kaya roti looks good, will try the next time. And do you know, this kopitiam becomes the location of "Bincho" restaurant, an atas makan place that charges premium rate!

The main highlight was the soup for sure. Very light and flavourful. I finished the whole bowl. Fishball was bouncy and the mince meat was really tender. However I found the noodles underwhelming. Too mushy for me and lacking flavour.

Their soup is light you can finish the whole bowl and not feel thirsty or uncomfortable after. Auntie server is auntie la. They are generally nice and friendly, just that the place is small and yet so popular so when there is new customer walk in, they will hurry those who are just sitting around chit chatting or playing phone.

Mee keng good, not the best experience to have spicy thing for breakfast but it wont hurt you. Another ahthentic place to enjoy a slow morning in singapore. Toilet unknown. The dish is not so big and at a cheap price so you will not have a heavy load on you to start off the day. Would recommend go in a group less than 5 as the place is relatively small.

Extremely old school fishball noodles stall. The mee pok is pretty good, as much as we had to dabao due to C19. Aunties running the coffee shop are a little poor thing, without any air conditioning for the full day. Super easy to talk to, super nice ladies. Ended up finishing my mee pok, satisfying!

Deliciously nostalgic. Famous location for 1995 film Mee Pok Man. Noodles were fantastic. This place transforms into a hidden teriyaki joint in the evenings. Coffee also served. Old style marble topped tables. Wooden chairs.

Very traditional coffee shop with traditional coffee and traditional fish balls noodle. The coffee and fish balls noodle are yummy! Portion is just nice for small eater like me though… they don’t sell anything else 😝

Love the nostalgic settings. Ordering was at counter, but after crowd come in auntie say wait, she will come to you take order when ready. The mince pork fishball soup came with bitter gourd and is light tasting. The bread is thick and good. And you get a local crowd. Rare golden find in a neighbourhood prone to refresh and refurbish. Always felt that most heritage places are 物是人非, this place retains originality in people, function, atmosphere and spirit.

Old school simple no nonsense mee pok/ noodles. Light flavoured soup and nice tasting noodles. The aunties cook with passion, although slightly pricier than most hawker setting. It’s unique location and friendly aunties make it an enjoyable experience.

Traditional noodle store that stayed true to its roots and thrived. One of the very few stalls that serves the noodles and ingredients in separate bowls. If you don’t like fish balls, ask for only meat option.

Authentically old school with only a few tables. Turnaround time is fast though. Aunties who helps to serve food and drinks are helpful and friendly. Toast bread is nice too.

Simple old school noodles in a quaint corner of Tiong Bahru. Highlight for me was the chunky minced meat which had a unique umami taste. Still trying to figure out what they put in the meat.

Love the Mee Pok here, although I think the portions are small for S$4.50 for a bowl of Mee Pok dry. The Aunties can be fierce on certain days but generally i love the food here. Kopi is ok

Reopened after the renovation and still looks as oldschool as it always did (what a relief). Great spicky Mee Pok with fishball soup, pretty good Kaya toast and nice Kopi.

A little corner coffee shop serving fishball noodles and coffee. Seat only a few tables; certainly brings back memories of old. Most customers there seem to be regulars. Tried their mee kia tar. Not too bad. What's amazing is that at the rear, behind an old vintage door is a Japanese sushi bar counter. Didn't try as it only starts service at noon. What a find!

Acceptable standard but wouldn't consider the food out of the norm. portion is small and the price is slightly above normal. This place was used for screening a movie in the early 90's and made is somewhat popular.

Came here for breakfast with a gf. This shop is like a scene frozen in the 70’s. With old school marble tables, and chairs to match. The noodles texture are good and we like the taste of the fish ball. Only downside was I didn’t enjoy the black coffee they served.

One of those very old school kopitiams that are becoming extremely rare in Singapore. It serves fishball noodles and the usual fare such as coffee and toast. The food was so-so but I’ll return for the vibe.

Old school. Average and overrated. Noodles are springy but if you prefer a more vinegary and lardy taste, this may not be to your liking. Place doesn't have many seats and you will feel compelled to rush and eat. Menu wasn't clearly displayed and you need to know what you want to order when the staff ask you.
