Went for the Hello Kitty High tea. Presentation was good but felt that there wasn't much 'hello kitty' feels. I couldn't really feel the hello kitty vibes. Food was okay, but might be lacking for the price. Preferred the savoury over the sweet department. Best part was the teas. You could tell they're really high quality. Service was good too, but a little slow. Great that you can takeaway whatever you can't finish. Might get a bit too gelat so best to be shared. 3/5 overpriced for the taste quality.

This Trolls high tea set was so pretty! Portion and varieties were good! Tea selection was great! Ambience is certainly very comfortable and luxurious I would like to give special thanks to the staff, Yuli for his warm welcome to my friends and being so professional in making our dinning in a special experience! Thank you and you guys deserve the 5-stars!

This restaurant is brilliant. You can tell the Rooster puts so much effort into their food, and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend!

The Hello Kitty high tea set was so pretty! Being a Hello Kitty fan, I love the tiny details put into the pastries, such as the apple-shaped choux puff and Hello Kitty/Dear Daniel cocktails. Taste wise was not bad, and kudos to the staff for making the experience so pleasant for all of us, including my three year old.

Lunch set was very worth it as I had a wagyu that was like butter, could have cut it with a spoon. Food was timed really well and staff were very attentive. The cocktails were also beautiful and delicious (try Pimm's cup no.2). To top it off, the plating was just amazing with so many beautiful and edible flowers. Tldr: Definitely Instagrammable and Yummy

Themed high tea set for 2, kinda overpriced for the quality of food. Presentable and cutesy Understaffed on that day/ morning. But when they attend to you they give their 💯 service. Hello kitty and dear Daniel Mocktails aren’t included in the set. We opted for the 2 Amuse-bouche at additional price Overall good experience since it’s a themed set and limited time only

I went for the vegan High Tea. I applaud them for the desserts - they were very great. I think the ratio of desserts to savoury things was too sweet. The savoury things were also pretty sweet. The chocolate was extremely rich. It wasn’t a very balanced profile, but nonetheless, it was vegan and delicious. The tea wasn’t my favourite (not very flavourful). Small detail but the tea sets did not match in colour (some were blue, some were pink, but not in an intentional way). The atmosphere wasn’t particularly inspiring either. Just felt like a hotel lobby. I think it was also a little expensive per person. Furthermore, they charged us for 11 people even though the tea set was the amount for 10 people. I would not go back because I don’t think the cost matches the experience, but it’s interesting to try!

A Vincent van Gogh inspired afternoon tea. We chose Antidote for high tea as they were one of the few hotels that offered lunch hour tea from 12 to 2pm. The presentation of the themed tea was impressive, beautiful details! We also opted for amuse-bouche for an additional price. The warm scones served were baked well. The sweets however were way too sweet, especially those with mousse fillings. The savoury sandwiches were delicious. Each set of tea came with 2 pots of tea or coffee inclusive. Service from the manager was good even though he looked short of staff.

A very pretty high tea to be savoured for a special occasion. Quiet and private ambience great for intimate meet up. Very interesting high tea which is vegan as explained. Felt the ‘impossible meat’ could be the main contributor to this high price point. The flavours of both sweets and savouries are great. Scones are alright missing clotted cream which would make it better. Tried the white teas and enjoyed them both. Tea is 3-5pm but the servers let us linger on past 5.

Wonderful bar to grab fantastic cocktails. I came for a cocktail masterclass with Marlon who is a true master mixologist. The love of his craft truely shows through with his magnificent cocktails. I found it so interesting to learn about the history of the Singapore Sling and the flavours used in this region. I had the crispy chicken tenders and highly recommend these for a light snack. Being located in the front of the Fairmont is very convenient and adds to the luxury atmosphere created here.

The environment and service are excellent. However, the taste of the afternoon high tea set could be improved. The overall taste is not astonishing, the taste design in phrasing/staging could be reviewed and improved. Both savouries and desserts seems like lack of flavour layering.

Actually I plan to vlog this rest, however after visiting there is nothing to filmed... If you search Singapore high tea guide, this could be one in the list. However, the real food is not as good as advertised. Those dinners who rated 4 or 5 stars is probably because they have vanity or don't want others comment they don't know how to appreciate. As a carnivore, I can assure you that this high tea performace-to-price ratio is low. Its only good on appearance. From the images you can see it's famous for its jewelery box presentation. But I don't understand how can a jewelry box grant you appetite. Isn't it a messy place where lipstick or eyeliner marks, loose powder or even hairs get together. Of course ladies came to this place because of the 'atas' environment. In fact the environment is nothing special. It's taxi stand view with modern interior design. And the portion is small. It's 2 pax portion in image 1 with 1 layer filled with bread and 1 layer with sauses... All desserts are not fresh with overwhelming sugar. If not matching with bitter tea, it's not easy to eat. Sushi is sushi express standard. The only good thing is the salted pea and roe... It's OK if you charge high price, but you need to make sure the food is decent. I don't know if this is their normal standard or they downgraded because of less dinners now. Is this the style of rich women high tea? Carnivore don't visit...

Stopped in on a Saturday evening while visiting Hartford. We made a reservation but didn't need one. For a really comfortable Saturday evening, it was surprisingly not crowded; there were only 2 other groups outside. Felt safe they were adhering to COVID guidelines. Staff were masked properly. We also saw them running food out to cars waiting for curbside takeout. As of August 22, they were offering both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside, but there were a couple of groups dining inside too. There were ~12 tables outside. We got the calamari to start, and we split the half rotisserie chicken with pineapple jerk sauce and sides of polenta and buffalo cauliflower. Everything was delicious! Our only complaint is that our server was devoid of personality. He was very mechanical in his service, but not going to ding the rating because he still performed his responsibilities.

Went with some friends for festive afternoon tea. Presentation was beautiful. Food was tasty but there could have been a little more savoury offerings and a little less sweet. Scones were very nice but I had to ask for extra cream. I liked that you could order two drinks from the coffee/tea menu. Service was rather slow and we had to keep calling the waiting staff over rather than them coming to check if we needed anything else. Price is quite high in comparison to other afternoon teas.

Went for celebrating my friend's birthday. Made a reservation a month earlier due to high demand. But during this period they have provided a Sanrio character hello kitty version. Service was fast. The presentation is indeed a girlish vibe yet beautiful, makes you feel like a little girl again & the food is really top-notch. Not too sweet for the dessert, the sandwich category was our favourite. Worth the wait. Is around $169 for 2 pax including GST. tea catergory: Pink Flamingo tea, is personally not my favourite. Vanilla Bourbon tea is really good! But what really turns me off, is the high-tea end at 5 pm, but never give a reminder earlier ahead. We were told immediately and gave us takeaway boxes right away. But still 5 star we did enjoy our high tea!

Nice ambience and food! Seems like they are famous for their high tea but we went there for dinner. Ordered the pomfret, wagyu and corn-fed chicken for the mains. Added on the cauliflower and curry fries on the side as well. Everything tasted wonderful, however the beef is definitely worth a try as it practically melts in your mouth. The service was also great as the staff gave us recommendations from the menu, even telling us that the portion of the beef was small. Overall great service and great food, highly recommended!

We had the high tea set. Bernard was very friendly and cheerful - this elevated the experience for sure. The Xmas set was really beautiful! However, the savory items could have more and more choices of coffee and tea as well. The price is a little steep vs others of its range.

Hotel bar and lounge that I wish we frequented more during our stay! Unfortunately too many establishments to choose from, we only went once. Truffle stuffed mushrooms and fries with truffle mayo and roe… so yum! Great drinks as well.

The location is very convenient and easy to find nearby the mall. Overall it was a pleasant high tea experience at a quiet seating. The afternoon tea set was very pretty and placed nicely in drawers. Staff did take time to explain what each layers were for as usual, and we liked how vibrant the colours were which made the experience more enjoyable. Hope to come back again for the new menu next year!

We had an afternoon tea set for 2 - A Pier Mondrian inspired art theme. The tea set is yummy the warm scones and sea salt Kouign Amann is nicely paired with their cream and jams. Sweets we liked most were the mango passionfruit cheesecake. Sandwhicythe smoked eel was da star! 😋 Both female services staff were helpful and explained all the dishes laid in a jewellery box before we whack it all up! Tea option were great and hot water is refillable and a tip is to choose one pot and after an hour choose another flavour (tea leaves) to share. Overall it was a good time spent there but wished that there were more to block out from seeing guest walking out from the loft lobby or from them seeing us eating or having a lovely time there.

Went for the Christmas special afternoon tea. The variety is good but most (maybe even all) of the items with crust are soggy. Very likely it’s being left outside for long so it doesn’t taste as good compared to freshly made ones.

I've been here more times than I can count (i.e. definifely more than 10) and each experience without fail, has been a good one. Drinks are creative, food is tapas style but very delicious, and the service is exceptional. The ambience is also comfortable and perfect for a romantic date night (or even a night out with friends). Big shoutout in particular to Bernard who served me on many of these occasions and never failed to make everyone feel at ease, welcome, and to assist with what we needed (not to say that rest of the service staff were *not* - but merely that Bernard was very good).

I love it. Indulging in Anti:dote's high tea at Fairmont Hotel, Singapore, is a culinary adventure that goes beyond traditional expectations. The unique food-in-drawer concept adds a whimsical touch to the experience. Each drawer unfolds a delightful surprise, offering a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The savory selection is a journey through inventive sandwiches and savory bites, showcasing both creativity and attention to detail. From the delicate Boston lobster to the robust flavors of garlic mayonnaise, every bite is a testament to the chef's culinary expertise. The sweet treats, placed on the top level of the drawers, are a symphony of colors and tastes. Miniature desserts like the vanilla choux and macarons are not only visually appealing but also burst with delectable flavors. The variety ensures there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth. The presentation of the high tea in drawers adds an element of surprise and elevates the overall experience. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation makes Anti:dote's high tea a memorable affair. Coupled with the elegant ambiance of Fairmont Hotel, it's a perfect blend of sophistication and culinary innovation. A unique and delightful journey for anyone seeking an extraordinary high tea experience in the heart of Singapore.

The afternoon tea offering was plentiful and delicious. The softcopy menu is available to view from a QR code on the table. We chose between two starters and coffee or tea. The ambiance was quiet. They were able to split the check between four people, which made sharing the cost of a bottle of prosecco very convenient.

First of all the food was Great as expected from Chef Kirk Popup. The Reservation was faultless and they call to confirm. We got a great table next to window. I know its a popup and not a fine dining but why would the management have some vendor sitting at the bar counter working on the Email system of some hotel staff! The whole bar could hear what the vendor was explaining! The vendor wasnt wearing a mask and spoke louder than the 4 tables patron combine. They could have the vendor work somewhere else and at least not during peak lunch hour. It was like sitting inside the restaurant under renovation! I wanted to give just 2 stars but it wont do justice to the great food and the hardworking staff

Stylish from the outside. More stylish on the inside! Walk past this place quite a few times before i am finally tempted by a Foodie App. This place is spacious with plenty of choices of what furniture you want to enjoy your food/drink on. Multiple concepts with different colors and textures. Pan-fried Sea-bass was my choice and the skin was of the right golden brown and crispy right the way you want it. Sauce was tasty, meat was kinda just right. Salad and greens by the side were up to my freshness expectations. Temperature was chill, music was relaxing and sound quality is fine. Even the washroom was bright/clean and sparkly. There was a super cool Dyson hand-dryer!! Staff was attentive and courteous. Just a side-note that for a restaurant to level up in their tier, all staff have to take a little more note of the little dust at the cushion, any display or furniture =)

Went for the high tea session during valentine's day. Love the experience. They serve a wide variety of savoury and sweet pastries, in a balance way. Presentation was great as shown in the photo. Able to choose between 2 options for the appetite and shown in the photo is the foie gra. Definitely will come back again in the future!

Customer service was good and staff clearly explained what is expected from the high tea menu which we were there for and lastly, place was extraordinarily clean. Unisex toilets found in the restaurant which was not accepted by all. The high tea set was overpriced for what was offered. No doubt there was a good variation of sweets and savories but they were not refillable. The beverages offered were not interchangeable and not refillable (only hot water can be topped up in teapots) which was a major disappointment. In this regard, other places serving high tea might be a better option for high tea enthusiasts. Something for someone to try once, that is if they have plenty of cash to spare.

Had afternoon tea with my ladies. All the tea ordered were full of fragrance and suiting to our taste buds. 'Sweet innocence' was the best, if you like a sweet after taste, you should go for this tea. If you like it minty, do order 'gnawa'. Perfect tea for guests who like mint. If you prefer a sour after taste, order the 'pink flamingo'. Literally pink tea with slight citron taste. Fresh crab as appetizer is top notch. Love the texture and flavour. The other tea snacks came in a sweet white drawer. Refreshing look. Worth a try

COVID ain't good, but it's good when there's no one at any restaurant lol. I actually enjoyed coming here, with a minimal amount of patrons and I can sit like a boss. Food is great (albeit pricey), staffs and chef very accommodating because I couldn't consume alcohol or pork; they conveniently changed the menu accordingly to something that I CAN eat. Recommended to come and visit at least once if you're nearby the city hall area. ;)

Excellent service and ambience. Mains were very good. The clan chowder was a little salty but the kitchen was kind enough to portion the serving into 2 bowls for us. Will definitely visit again. 2 Aug 2020 update: service just as good. Went on another 2 occasions and the waitress even interacted with us and make conversation. Enjoyable lunch on one occasion and after dinner drinks on the other.

Weekday set lunch. S$29++ for 2 courses with add-ons for certain mains. We started with their Heirloom Tomatoes salad and Salmon Tartare salad each, both bowls were refreshing and crunchy. For mains, the mister chose Wagyu beef burger and I had the Lobster roll in charcoal bun. Combining impeccable service, awesome food and great interiors, I must say Antidote is arguably one of the better option for lunch within the Raffles City CBD area.

Nice atmosphere. Tapas for dinner has quite a good menu. Tried some of them and rather good. Thought will be good that the threadfin fish is served first as it has the lightest taste. The grilled octopus is very tender with the sherry porcini is good. Crisp chicken and foie grad nugget is very delightful. Just a note, don’t order the nachos. It had a block of mozzarella cheese on top that hardens within a few minutes after serving. Really not what we expected of nachos. Am thankful that they didn’t charge us for it after feedback.

I went for their high tea session during the weekdays, not much crowd and was practically quite empty. Was assigned to their velvet seats and realised that it was stained at the side, the teapot served also have smudge of sauce at base of the pot, was not expecting this ? High tea set was served in drawer style but they didn’t separate both vegetarian and normal menu we are having, I feel they should have separate the food so the vegetarian food is not touching or mixed with meat source in the normal menu. Food for the default high tea menu was nice but can be quite dry in taste. My friend didn’t like the vegetarian high tea served as most food was kept untouched after one bite. Love that they have variety of tea selections and that tea selection can be changed after finishing the pot. It happened to me that they have poured into the wrong tea cups with my different tea selection, my previous selection balance still left in one cup and an empty cup next to me for the new teapot. They should have keep the same person to assist us so there will not be mix up ? When we are done and ready to leave, there is no one around which we can inform and we have to walk out to find the counter/cashier to make our payment. For the price I paid, it was definitely not worth a second visit.

Deserves zero stars. Used to be my favourite bar in Singapore in spite of the view (of the taxi stand) but has deteriorated significantly. The food is appaling. I sent 2 plates back: duck and lentil terrine, which was 90% lentils; and the salted cod fish cake, which was actually multiple fish balls, served on stones. With no fish, all potato. Hopeless. And because of the licence you have to order food. So serve decent food ! When I arrived I was told last orders at 9.30pm. So at 10pm I was asked if I wanted a drink. I told the waitress to check her timing with her colleague. She never came back. Tried to fob me off with a free drink. I refused. Made them charge me for the drink. Cheap skates. Horrendous place. Although the Nespresso Afternoon Tea sessions have now been replaced with the Festive Season Afternoon Tea, I must say that the dining ambience is really superb. Diners could relax and bask in the chillaxing vibes. The quality of the food and beverage offerings was pretty awesome as well. The selection of tea was really comprehensive and the free flow option that comes with an afternoon tea set gave rise to the opportunity to sample some really excellent concoctions specially curated and concocted to pair with the palatable and scrumptious bite-sized sweets and savouries. A must-try and a recommended-to-go-to for diners looking for a place to while the afternoon away with family, friends and loved ones.

  • 3/5 Rachel L. 3 years ago on Google
Came here for the afternoon tea, felt it was average for the price paid. More sweets than savouries. There's also a time limit as they close for the afternoon.

Nice ambience for afternoon tea. Excellent food presentation and service. However food quality and better ingredients can be used for the price charged. Will still come back to try when they have new menu.

I came here on a weekday afternoon with a friend to have afternoon tea we were seated near the window facing the hotel's drop off point and on the main road. We did not want to be seated near the window facing the drop off point it was dark and dim and we requested if another seat could be arrange however their staff said that they are fully booked and there were no more other seats available and he said some customers had to seat at the bar. There were 2 choices of tea we could choose twg vanilia and twg green tea the sweets came in a jewelry box shortly after as the theme was Nespresso the first layer were sweet cakes and pastries some with coffee in it. The second layer were savory pastries the thirth layer were 4 pieces of small scones and finally the forth layer were just strawberry jam and white clotted cream and lemon cream plus two biscuits we could bring home. The first layer of sweets were quite sweet and we prefer the second layer of savory the twg tea was good the scones however could be better. The design of the tea cup and saucer could better to match the jewellery box not sure if the tableware is bone china. The bar was quite dim and my friend and i were quite disappointed when we were seated as before we decided to come here the photos we saw on the website of the bar were quite spacious and in fact the bar is quite small, dim and it cost $58 per person after tax is $64.74 per person which is not worth it. The staff were polite service was alright. Although the afternoon tea was presented in a jewelry box which was quite unique that haven't seen else where ambience was not very good considering high price point i do not think i will return again. The only thing i did enjoy was the company of my friend.

had lunch to try the casual british kirk westaway pop up. the wagyu short rib was tender, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were well seasoned. texture was good too. the fish and chips did not hold up as well - portion was pretty minuscule and overly salty. curry salted fries were well seasoned and thick cut but still sufficiently crispy/crunchy for my liking. overall, although service was very attentive, ambience wasn’t great considering the price point (mains at $30 ish each) and I don’t think I would return.

We came here for Kirk westaway's (jaan) popup. This is a great chance to try Kirk's food at a very reasonable pricing. Highly recommended to go for the set menu. Food was delicious and thanks for the birthday cake!

Went during Phase 2 Covid. Looking forward for a relaxing afternoon but instead was disappointed with the experience. Tea set looks old and dull couple with Scone/ savoury tarts inside a slightly yellow chest drawer. Savoury tarts are just normal n plain Scone did not match up to the review that I have on their afternoon tea.

The calamari was delicious especially because they had the full bodies which I love. I had the Chicken Parma which was out of this world and had a great hot pepper relish to kick it up a notch. The Tito's cranberry mule was also delish.

Horrible first impression it was a birthday occasion for me n my wife and we literally were standing waiting at the hostess stand for at least 5 minutes after 3 diffrent employees made eye contact with both of us and never acknowledged that we were there the restaurant was dead and then we were seated finally outside on the patio and was told the server would be there to help us we sat for another 10 minutes before any contact would be made they never got the chance because we got up and left just terrible hospitality

This was an EXPERIENCE! This was fine dinning flavors but on main street in Newington. They have roosters everywhere. Jay from Jay &silent bob would say they love the ..... Anyways we started with the pork belly starter, the bruschetta with peaches, and the chicken noodle soup. Right away you could taste the freshness everything smelled great. This meal was pleasing on the eyes as well as the nose so it awakened our pallets and as we started to taste, we wanted to try more and they delivered. There were flavors and textures that we weren't quite prepared for and the dichotomy of hot and cold crunchy and soft salty and savory. Again I cannot stress to you how flavorful everything was and how great this was. We then split a chef's plate which had griveness and fried dark and rotisserie White. They took the chicken skin and fried to perfection, like bacon except from chicken. My photos do not do justice to the FLAVORS. We are coming back to try different things on the menu because this was an experience!!!!

The wife and I were planning a motorcycle ride and we wanted to find a brunch spot in CT. This was the first option that she found and I'm glad that she did! It was worth the ride! The portion sizes were huge! We shared the chicken and waffles and avocado toast! If I was ever in Newington again, I would definitely go back!

I have been eating here since they opened, everything is great but the truffle mac and cheese is ridiculous, the spinach salad is something I order every single time it's so good. Chicken is amazing, cocktails are delish and strong😉..but I am writing my review about the customer service. John, one of the owners, happened to answer the phone yesterday when I called seeing if they do deliveries. I mentioned I was trying to have yummy meals sent to my BFF who just had a baby a few days ago and since I can't go visit yet due to quarantine, I just wanted to do something nice. He could have just said yea we do or referred me to GrubHub but instead said he was going to personally deliver to them. I just felt that was incredibly kind, he was super nice to chat with, and I've always known I would continue to go there but this just sort of sealed the deal forever! Eat here, it's so good!

Been looking for a place around the Middletown Cromwell area to eat for quite awhile. Landed on roosterco after being in the Newington area. Are we pleased! The food we received was delicious. Obviously during COVID times the food isn’t going to taste the exact same as it would if we had in dining service. Let me summarize. This place needs to come to Middletown main! We would be there all of the time!

Considering that this place is more of a bar, the food here is surprising so much better than Prego which is a (Italian) restaurant! The 3-course set dinner is value for money and the food is simply delicious. We added on couple of sides as well as bar bites and end of day, we came out really stuffed with fantastic food! Special call out for the aburi burrata, heirloom tomato, wagyu short-ribs and corn-fed chicken. Will be back for more!

Average and not crowded as expected! This place was not that’s popular than expected, and there are only 8 tables being served and total guest less than 50pax. I was shock and thought this place should be busy. The food overall is good, not so extreme good that will attack me to come again.

Really good venue to catch up with friends. Spacious, comfy seating, not noisy, classy decor and really thoughtful service. Thank you Munis for taking care of us while we were there :) Appreciate it loads. Food and drinks were a delight, with bite sized items that were beautifully put together and a good variety & quantity to tantalise the taste buds. Loved the scones. I would say the sweet items were too sweet for me but that is based off a personal preference.
