Cognitive Dissonance would be the 2 words I use to describe my experience at RVLT. While I felt that the service and ambience was reasonable. There was a huge mismatch between the quality of the food and the prices pegged to it. We had ordered the chef’s choice which consisted of 8 dishes and the dessert and we ordered an extra dish, the hand cut pasta with the lobster tail. We also had 2 glasses of wine and 1 330ml can of sour beer. The menu is not the simplest with no headers to inform you on what were the starters or mains and had to rely on the staff to explain them to use (not a big deal in my opinion). However, do not be misled by the instagram-worthy photos and I do respect the chefs who spent their time plating such beautiful dishes. It would have been better if they had spent more time improving the taste of them instead. None of the dishes stood out to be nice, except for the crispy mochi (I wouldnt call it crispy in anyway) with a ham and cheese twist. The dishes were mediocre at best, which made me really annoyed by the fact that they have such a high review rating. The two dishes that really put me off were the lobster pasta, which was nothing more than a glorified mee pok from your favorite local kopitiam. The pasta was slightly overcooked and your kopitiam uncle would have given you a better bite on your noodles. The lobster tail tasted frozen. At a price point of $48, you might as well go to Bar Cicheti for better quality pasta at a more wallet friendly price. To end off the night, we were served the caramelised miso, chocolate pastry cream, mille-feuille, rose wine gel. This definitely ruined the whole experience was not much thought was put into the dish other than the aesthetics. When you cut through the mille-feuille, the pastry breaks and separates the two layers, which means you had to have them separately. This was also when I was overwhelmed with the flavor of the Sentosa waters in my mouth as I consumed the caramelised miso and pastry. It was nothing more than saltiness 🤢. Total damage including service charge and taxes, $313. (Half this amount would have been the most reasonable tbf). As I went home, I got more and more disgruntled by the fact that the meal was so dissatisfying and ripped a hole in my pocket as I have been to so many other places that served way much better food. Even after a week, and writing this review. It invokes that same feelings of dissatisfaction I had with my meal on the 11th of Jan. TLDR: I will never return to this place and the food is way too expensive for the standard they have. I have eaten at many restaurants which serve much better food and with a bottle of sake/alcohol at similar prices or more reasonable prices. You can definitely skip this place and spend your money somewhere more worthy.

Super fun space! Visited on a Friday evening and it was the perfect TGIF wine down type of restaurant, great selection of natural wines, food is delicious, ambience was buzzing and staff was friendly. Guaranteed a good time! Book a table in advance and take note of the timing for the 2 seatings.

The best natural wine selection in town, paired with exceptional food (we tried ALL the dishes on the menu), and friendly, fun service. This is a FUN place where you want to go with your best friends to have a great time, and it won't let you down. It's fun, guaranteed! For all those into natural wines, this is a must visit, and for all those who haven't been exposed to natural wines before, it's an excellent place to start!

Discovered a local wine bar that offers delightful cuisine. The wine menu is showcased on the wall, featuring empty bottles with prices listed on them. The labels encompass a variety from Australia, New Zealand, to France. The wine quality is decent in terms of value, and they specialize in serving numerous organic wines. The standout dish was the beef tartare and smoked egg accompanied by dashi crackers. The flavorful combination of smoked egg yolk and beef pairs well with both bread and crackers. Another highlight was the octopus terrine topped with squid ink mousse and a slightly spicy balacan sauce. The homemade tagliatelle, infused with yuzu-flavored sauce and Argentine prawns, was refreshing and appetizing. The skilled preparation of the dish was evident. The iberico pork with curry puree was enjoyable, though the meat was a rather lean for my taste. The pork was perfectly cooked, and I found myself breaking it into finer pieces to savor. The brussels sprouts complemented the pork nicely, and the well-balanced sauce paired harmoniously with a few glasses of wine. Unfortunately they have no more served the charred cabbage and lobster pasta. But still a great place to enjoy!

Wine RVLT has a great range of natural wines and a strong, well conceptualised menu. Shrimp pasta, octopus terrine, and beef tartare had great umami flavours. Beef tartare esp had a really nice smoky taste. The pork was nice but it did not stand out. Service staff were wonderful - they were so attentive to clearing out plates and topping up our water and wine, and they knew their wines very well and gave us good recommendations. They also timed the food very well, making sure our table was not overcrowded as it was quite tiny.

A wonderful experience here. We simply love that the vibe is not of a typical wine bar, much more casual. And the foods are interesting yet delicious. We picked an orange wine that’s similar to Chardonnay and was quite impressed. Service is also attentive and quick, no fuss at all. Bonus points for no charge still and sparkling water which we hardly encounter of any other place ever does this. Bring your wine friends here! It’ll be a blast 🥂

Lobster pasta is a MUST get. One of the best pasta I’ve ever had and the chef at Wine RVLT managed to nail it. Hats off. Got the beef tartare as well. It’s slightly different from the usual beef tartare that you see outside (IYKYK). Think it has something to do with the eggs. Had a good selection of reds and whites and the staff are friendly, so do not hesitate to get their opinions. One feedback would be to lower the price of the lobster pasta! (SG$50) would’ve gotten 2 more servings :)

Food was generally great quality and good flavours, portions were as expected of a gastrobar in SG. we ordered an orange wine recommended by the staff, good body that stood well with some of our dishes. Green pea hummus - interesting starter, not recommended if not a veggie person Nori tart - sardine was really fishy even through the herbs and vinegar, but we liked it Beef tartare - was the star for us, beef is diced in larger chunks compared to traditional tartare, which gives more bite and beefiness. smoked egg yolk was yum, dish went well with our wine. Chicken nuggets - there’s chicken cartilage in the nuggets to give a different texture but if you’ve had something similar before then there’s nothing wow about it. wished there was more heat in the sriracha but perhaps dialed down for the tourists. very filling though so order this if hungry. Potato ravioli - generous amount of truffle, though i think more pasta was expected considering it’s a main dish. potato leek sauce was quite bland/mild, probably would not order this again. All dishes were shared by 2 and at the end both of us were stuffed.

Vibey interior but so-so food. Decided to come hear as it seemed like not the typical wine bar. Very dim lights, hipster interior with a very youthful atmosphere. I applaud the beef tartare with cured egg yolk that was super addictive but it might be a little bit too salty for some (good enough for me as I like salty food) although the presentation could be better as the crackers seemed to be just thrown to the side. Lobster pasta looked so promising and photo-worthy but tasted bland in my opinion. Pasta was also under cooked but I guess id you prefer more al-dente, it’s the right fit for you (servers could have asked or informed us beforehand) For close to $50 I’m pretty sure you can get better elsewhere although I must say the portion of lobster was reasonable. Wines were priced on the higher side but that’s typical of wine bars. Got a bottle of Pinot Noir for slightly over $100.

amazing place and hospitality! we started off with some burrata and sourdough. personally, not a big fan of the burrata as it has sardines, but my friend enjoyed every last bit of it! sourdough was too tough for me, i do enjoy this truffle butter at the side! featured is the ravioli and ITS SO GOOD! its a must get, definitely the best one i’ve ever had! we also wanted to get their highly raved lobster pasta, but it turns out they change their menu from time to time. staff took care of us the entire time, we were so thankful!🙏 clive also know his wine very well 👍

Excellent wine selection and service. However the Christmas degustation menu was miserably small in portions while absolutely delightful in taste. We ordered extra sides and still left hungry. The venison was chewy and rather bland but the fish with salsa Verde was acidic and cut through the unctuousness of the fillet. The bulgur wheat with mushrooms made for a lovely earthy carb but was so so small. Come for the wine, you'll leave hungry

Really enjoyed the wine and food! They had an interesting mochi cheese ball. The sourdough bread is one of the best I've had in Singapore. The iberico pork is pretty good too. They only sell wine by the bottle. Get a reservation if you can, walk-ins will be difficult

“Amazing wine bar, with great food too.” Wine bars usually do not put as much emphasis on food as they do their wine lists, but Wine RVLT gets it right. Had their nuggets, beef tartare, bread, and lobster pasta. And they were all really amazing, especially the lobster pasta, with the perfectly cooked lobster that was well seasoned. The beef tartare was interesting with the cured egg yolk. As for wines, there are a lot in selection, and the recommendations really hit, you just need to try your best to look like you know what you are talking about and the server will find you a nice tasting bottle of it. Service wise, they’re great, not only attentive but takes the effort to make small talk, even though drunken me would have been quite annoying to deal with. Price wise, its okay, not too wallet emptying but it hits, so would keep this as a celebration spot. Else I’d be broke before the subsequent rounds of rate hikes hit. But what do I know, I just eat and drink a lot and write reviews, come check it out for yourself.

A to-go spot if you’re looking for a casual hang out for natural wines with your mates. Not pretentious and you can choose an array of bottles of wine from the shelves. Not sure what you feel like drinking? The sommelier will sort that for you. Got the uni toast, truffle Mille-feuille, charred cabbage and lobster pasta. Not a big fan of the cabbage but others were delicious.

Really vibrant place that is super happening on the weekend! The interiors are hip and quirky, quite like a disco vibe. We tried a few of the dishes and everything was pleasant, the only thing was that the wagyu was not served hot but it was still very tender. I would definitely come back in a group of friends to have a few bottles of their interesting natural wines and share their yummy tidbits. The tables for two people are quite tiny so I would recommend to come in a group so you can take the bigger bar tables if you plan to eat their food. Service was awesome 👏🏽 the staff are friendly and willing to recommend a wine.

Our visit to Wine RVLT in Singapore was a revelation, thanks to a local's recommendation for a unique twist on traditional cuisine. At first glance, it seemed like your typical wine bar, and I half-expected the usual assortment of cheeses and hams. However, I couldn't have been more wrong. This place took culinary creativity to a whole new level. The menu was anything but ordinary, featuring delightful twists on almost every item. As we delved into the dishes, we were met with a symphony of flavors that left us in awe. Among the standouts were the Uni Squash, the White Asparagus, the Duck Rillette, the Burnt Japanese Cabbage, and the Beef Tartare. Each plate was a delightful surprise, and I found it difficult to pick a favorite. To accompany our meal, we chose a bottle of Aussie Pinot Noir from BK Wines, which perfectly complemented the diverse flavors on our table. We also indulged in their Merlot "Grape Juice," which was equally delightful. We concluded our memorable meal with the Chocolate Pastry Cream dessert, an absolute delight. Its presentation was as beautiful as the other dishes we'd enjoyed, adding a final flourish to an already exceptional dining experience. Now, I must mention my only complaint during our visit—the presence of a picture of Che Guevara. As a Cuban, I'm acutely aware of the atrocities committed by this historical figure in the name of his "revolutionary ideas." His actions, including firing squads and other brutal methods, resulted in the deaths of countless individuals who dared to oppose his political views. It was a disheartening sight in an otherwise remarkable dining experience. In recognition of Wine RVLT's outstanding Flavors, boundless Creativity, meticulous Presentation, and the overall memorable experience, the Zasón Guide is pleased to award them with three Cedillas. This establishment truly excels in redefining culinary norms and delivering a remarkable dining experience. (ÇÇÇ)

Good service and food. Dishes are saltier and more savoury than average, probably intended to drive drink orders so it boils down to personal preference. Enjoyed the sourdough with seaweed butter, shrimp tagliatelle and mille-feuille but i won’t order the chicken nuggets recommended by staff again. Didn’t think the wine prices were value for money so most of us went for beer instead. For comfort in a typical wine bar, i’d prefer if the seats were low chairs and tables.

The seaweed butter was the besttt spread I’ve tasted. The parmesan churros with mentaiko was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The XO lobster pasta needs no introduction with its flavour packed pasta sauce and perfectly cooked lobster tail!! To add to the amazing meal, we had the perfect wine pairing, recommended by the loveliest and most attentive staffs. This place is easily tops my list of go-to bar! Will be back very soon.

Lobster paster was packed with umami. Beef short rib was good too. Service was pleasant and efficient. Otah bites were crispy and well fried but nothing spectacular. Just a tad pricey. Music slightly too loud Overall enjoyed my dinner here.

Nice funky disco vibes in a restaurant with delicious fusion food and organic wines. I had a good time here with my friends and the place was packed on a Saturday night. It’s also conveniently located near Clarke Quay station. The sommelier was quite informative and gave good recommendations on the wine. Clive was also attentive and topped up our water quite frequently. The wine menu which is literally empty bottles on the shelf was innovative and cool. Perhaps a good place to celebrate special occasions and if you don’t mind shelling out a bit more $$.

I used to be a regular here with my customers after work to check out their new menus until this evening I had such a bad experience for the wine and service, which I will never come back anymore. I had a bad jet lag and decided to just order a glass of wine instead of a bottle. There was only one red house wine available by glass on the menu. This red house wine was extremely sour, which I asked the staff to double check if the wine is still good, since it tastes like vinegar. This arrogant chubby lady came and corrected us that the wine was not sour, it was acidic, because it is made of Granache grapes. She further challenged us how much wine we have drank before to ask if the wine is still good. It was a date night for us. We came here to unwind after a hectic week and her rude attitude really pissed us off. She doesn’t listen to the feedback from the customer or to find out the taste bud for the customer, but only to defend her knowledge on wine. Really spoiled our mood on a Friday evening. Not much appetite left to savor the lobster pasta, even though the wine did taste less acidic after it breathes for an hour. What a shame to have such bad service attitude and the $24/glass of vinegar to turn the customer away.
