Food centre doing local fare but targeting visitors and tourists. Just like any local food centre, the place comes replete with pesky birds and irritating flies…to give it an authentic feel. Price wise, food is overpriced and shouts “tourist trap”. Place is not too comfortable especially on a hot humid afternoon.

Airy food centre located within Gardens by the bay. Wide array of food though at slightly touristy prices. The quality and taste of the food is generally below "local" hawker centres. Food-wise, I would also rate this below other touristy hawker centres such as Newton and Lau Pa Sat. Having said that, Satay by the Bay is a nice enough place for a chill dinner and local food.

Not many variety of shops currently. Plenty of stores have closed down. There are 2 satay stores left one halal and one non-halal. From the space, it seems to fit 6-8 stores, I supposed. Halal one doesn't sell pork and has squid satay. Bought satay on take-away, preparation was about 10 minutes which was fine.

Satay is good. I needed more dipping sauce and they were happy to oblige. Chicken satay and mutton satay. Food centre on the whole seems a bit sad with several closed stalls and few customers.

Prior to our visit to Satay By The Bay, I used to think that the food there will be very pricey since it is a tourist place... Therefore, when I walked around the stalls hunting for food, I was surprised that the food are not that expensive /(^_^)\ Average cost of each of the local dishes there is about $1 - $2 higher than what we can find in other hawker centers such as Changi Village, which I think they are reasonably priced, based on its location, which is within walking distance from Garden by the Bay! We (4 adults & 2 kids) ordered 9 dishes, excl. drinks & fruits, & we finished up everything, happily and satisfied with most dishes we ordered :)

One of my favourite places to have visited near marina bay. If you love seafood and bbq then this place is a must. Great food and it didn’t hurt the wallet either. This was a perfect stop during our recent visits of all the attractions like gardens by the bay and cloud forest.

Located near Gardens by the Bay, this is definitely a relaxing place to check out! We visited the food establishment around afternoon, before the dinner crowd and after the lunch crowd. It wasn’t too crowded so the place was pretty relaxing. We ordered several local delights, and the chicken wing tasted so good! Moreover, the views in the area are pretty scenic too. Definitely worth coming!

Mixed grill of $15.90 from bar grill burger paste stall, look at the pathetic portion for chicken chop, pork chop & sausage. The grilled meat are all super burnt, mostly can taste the burnt taste instead of the meat... yuck. Rip-off and the fries are also warm and very salty. Will not be back at this place.

Very limited food options possibly because off was closing for renovations the day after we visited. Astronomically high prices for the food, with small portions and low quality. A stain on an otherwise beautiful experience at Gardens by the Bay.

Dining at Satay by the Bay was a delightful experience with perfectly grilled satay and seafood complemented by a delicious peanut sauce. The fresh ingredients and expert preparation provided an authentic taste of Singaporean street food in a relaxed, ambient setting. Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike.

Satay by the Bay is known for their Satay. It's a nice chill out place after cycling, hiking, or kite flying at Marina Barrage. There's lots of other food like Thai, Chinese, Western, Spanish, Malay, Indian, etc However, the price is on the higher side due to its location. Be prepared to be going back with the smell of the smokiness of the Satay at the end of your meal.

Come here only if you want to experience outdoor Al fresco hawker dining with poor quality hawker food which isn’t a true representation of Singapore’s hawker food. I would recommend going to Newton Food Hawker instead. DO NOT order the Hokkien mee here, it was the worst Hokkien mee I’ve ever had in my life and I feel scammed by the stall. It was managed by a man who is not even Singaporean.. the prawns were mushy and the ingredients were not fresh. Overall, the noodles tasted weird and everything is overpriced. Satay was also very average, too salty in my opinion. BBQ Stingray was overrated and pricey. Almost half of the stalls were closed and/or vacant, not sure why.

Avoid eating at Marina Live Seafood & Steamboat. The dried shrimp french beans was awful - overly salty and absolutely no fragrance at all. $10 for a couple of strips of beans. The seafood white beehoon was bland but had fresh prawns...a saving grace. The best was the satay from Citisatay. At $0.75 per stick, it was quite yummy. Just go for the satay and skip the zi char.

Tourists please for the love of God do not come here. There are plenty of better food courts to experience Singapore food like Newton hawker Centre this place consists of 95% tourists and no locals, reason being the exorbitantly priced food and drinks eg. Bandung is $2.80 SGD and they only fill 1/4 of it the rest is ice. Furthermore, even though this place is outdoors there should be at least some fans that work properly only 50% of the fans here work and you can barely feel a thing.moreover the food is bland and tasteless and you always had to keep an eye on the food as there were many pesky flies that would land on your food carrying all sorts of germs and bacteria not to mention the veiw. It sucks there is nothing to see except a lake and HDB and very far into the distance MBS if you came here for the food or the view or both, you'll surely be dissatisfied with the decent, dull, inferior, middling, ordinary, and second-rate food and view. In any case you find yourself looking for hawker Centres the experience local Singaporean dishes please stray away from this one.-10/10

Not a bad place for chilling a bit after a long walk around gardens by the bay. However, the price is a bit expensive compared to other hawkers centers, which is sort of expected and the price is nearly doubled. Some shops don’t have the price on the dishes, which looked a bit dodge.

Visited this place first time as a citizen. Personally, I think it's abit over-rated. You can get much better and value for money deals at Pasir Panjang Food Centre, which is not very far from here. Catered more for tourists. Personally I did not like the Hokkien Mee. Felt it tasted rather plain and don't have the 'wok hey' (wok burnt smell). Would not recommend that. The egg omelette, the wings, the sting ray and satay were all so-so. Won't be back anytime soon.

City satay is good just that the rice is kinda losing the pandan leave smell The satay are done nice but not hot enough Sauce is just like a peanut sauce with no spiciness to it .......... Boon Tat BBQ seafood is not recommanded. Fried rice is oily and disgusting. .......... Lorong 29 Gelyand Hokkien Mee is so so. Nothing to shout about. Overall everything here is expensive and not that nice. Avoid if you can.

We came here a lot during our 12 day stay. The Satay‘s here were the best in all of Singapore. Freshly made with its typical sauce. You can also find a stall with freshly squeezed juices and lots more food. You‘ll love it!

Came here during the second day of Chinese New Year in 2024. Almost every stall was open. It is conveniently located near the Gardens by the Bay mrt station (About 5 to 7 minutes walk). Over here, they sell a variety of Singapore hawker fare. There are plenty of seatings and I recommend the seats near the jogging track as they are more windy (The internal seating is nearer to the food stalls but very humid due to the satay stalls). But beware though, over here it's basically hawker food but selling at restaurants price.

Not a bad option for some local food if you’re in the area, but prices are definitely higher for varied quality and standards from stall to stall. It is at a premium location, after all. Everything we ordered was decent enough (I actually quite like the satay and peanut sauce at City Satay), but I would not go out of my way to eat at this food centre. With that said, it’s quite enjoyable being there on cool evenings where the crowds have thinned. Worth a visit if you’re nearby as it beats the chaos at MBS food court!

Food court the Gardens By the Bay, tourist price but could be a quick fix for people who ate there and don’t wish to travel around looking for food. There are a couple of satay stalls, one Chinese stall with pork satay and also Muslim stall for halal satays. There are also other local dishes, Thai cuisine & beers for people to chill out with. However, I must say the quality of the food is only average and price is higher than other food courts.

A lot of food stalls. Price is a hit high compare to neighbourhood hawker center. But is reasonable for this location. In this place, you can get plenty of local authentic dish/food. Things open space, big and spacious. Free to sit where you fell comfortable. It's clean, when I'm there, not 100% food stalls are open. But the selection is already good enough for you to chose from. Perfectly suitable for friends, couples, family gathering. The embience is beautiful to take photo too. Convenient and easily access to this place. This place is not far from Garden by the Bay MRT Station.

Nice to be a tourist at this time. A few years ago, this place would have been packed and super busy. It wasn't that busy at all. Most of the stalls are opened but there are a few that have closed down. Definitely need to try the satay for its namesake. The satay is quite good. As for the other local dishes, probably recommend eating those some place else. But you can't beat the location and proximity to Gardens By the Bay. Good to try out once but I think you can find better food at other hawker centers.

The place is a food haven for cycling enthusiasts or for those who enjoy other outdoor activities nearby. The food is good and the place is rather clean. Although “Satay” is the name of this eating place, there’s a variety of other local/Asian dishes. There’s also a stall selling pasta and beer too.

Nice place to chill and catch up with friends..there is a carpark nearby and the satay is superb! Mee Goreng was nice but fried Kang Kong was rather salty...perhaps due to the blachan. Satay was charcoal grilled adding to its flavour. We ordered their chicken wings, mutton and chicken. If you are coming by Singapore something for you to try!!

A hawker centre with nice view. Went on Saturday evening, no crowd at the western food stall area, but crowded at the satay area. The fried hokkien mee $6+ is yummy!!! Beer $10 for half pint and $15 for full pint.

If you like hawker style dining but dont really like people then this is for you. BEST satay in Singapore. It's located in a place where you need to pay for the tour so not much people here. They have WAAAAAYYY better chili Crabs than lau pa sat. Almost like tung lok.

We had been at the observation deck for the evening and so we wanted something quick before walking through the gardens. All the stalls were offering similar foods - no variety, and it was very much a fake hawker centre. Nothing like the other places we visited around Singapore. This place is ok for a bite but keep expectations low.

Satay by the Bay is conveniently located within GBTB, about a 10-minute stroll away from Flower Dome / Cloud Forest. While it's situated within a tourist hotspot, it is a relatively affordable dining option to neighbouring restaurants. It also offers a wide array of local food choices, making it a welcoming option for tourists :) The seafood beehoon (~$7) was quite average, I'd recommend eating it elsewhere (the ones I tried in the heartlands tasted so much better) The cheesy rosti paired with the grilled chicken chop (~ $14) was a savory delight 😊 Satay by the Bay also has a well-ventilated ambiance which made the overall dining experience pleasant. TLDR: Convenient, reasonable pricing *amid a tourist hotspot*, and a diverse menu.

Perfect place to stop for dinner when you bring friends from overseas around to visit Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage.😍 Visitors get a try a wide range of local cuisines. Not at local prices though 😅 it was a tad bit pricier than the usual hawker center, but I think it's comparable to Newton. For what it's worth, it's location is well worth the stopover to have a bite. ❤️ I wonder if it's me or has the standard fallen a little 🤔

The last station in the current phase of the Thomson-East Coast Line brings us to Gardens By The Bay. We alighted because travel on the newly opened stations is complimentary on this day. A short walk outside the station brings you to SBTB. Very touristy place for sure. Can't go wrong with the food here and we observed an influx of students from various schools situated along the line, visiting for lunch and sightseeing. It is a well thought, strategic plan as travellers can drop by after visiting Orchard and Maxwell. This visit was on 11 November 2022.

You can enjoy the seafood and satay here as well, and there is a steamboat available too. After a heavy meal we take a walk with nice lake view 😎

This stall is extremely disappointing. The hummus cost a whopping $12 but considering the amount of hummus on the plate, it is seriously a RIP OFF. The falafel wrap came with 1 falafel and the vegetables in there were slammed with mayonnaise. Knowing this is a tourist trap and as advertised “Turkish and Indian” , i lowered my expectation but this is seriously GROSS. Perhaps Singapore tourism board should truly vet the quality of food sold by this vendor. Truly unbelievable!

Strategically situated between Garden by the Bay and Marina Barrage, this places serve local and some regional exotics gourmet that are popular with both local and tourists. We went there after our evening run around Marina area and the weather was excellent. You can get there via public transport, including the train, or you could park at the car park right beside the eatery. Food prices are slightly higher than the usual hawker centre.

Not bad.. sambal kangkung from the thai cuisine tasteless.. maybe he forgot to add salt.. with only $10 you get tomyam soup with, 2 prawn, 4 slice of squid, 1 shell, 4 slice of tomato.

Score is for breakfast (kopi O and kaya toast). Beautifully quiet at 9 am (official opening time for drinks stall), while the rest of the stalls are closed. Lovely corner with waterfall and pond. Kopi was good, toast was nicely crunchy but unfortunately, margarine instead of butter. Service was friendly. The stalls look a little more worn than I would expect for an "atas" food court, but it's still worth it here for the morning quiet and greenery.

  • 4/5 Emily L. 10 months ago on Google
Quite good variety of stalls including local fare. The Hokkien mee stall was flexible in changing prawn to squid (for those who don’t eat prawns), though the portion was not that big for its price of $6 and the taste was passable. The City Satay smelt so good that we couldn’t wait to dig into it - which explains the photo-taking only at the end (oops!). The meat was well-marinated such that I didn’t even need to dip it into the peanut sauce.

  • 5/5 Daeun L. 2 years ago on Google
The BEST PLACE when you're cycling by Marina bay. My bf and I had seafood pancake, Hokkien mee, Satay and cold beers on the side. It was really crowded but that's the whole point of a hawker center so it was enjoyable! The food can be a bit more pricey but they're tasty.

5 min walk from the domes/cloud mountain. Well priced. You are given a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. When done you need to take your tray to the ‘Tray station’ Satays are tiny. I now understand why they can sell in lots of 20…

I feel like it speaks for itself. A satay vendor right in the heart of Gardens by the Bay. While not the cheapest, certainly not the most expensive satay visit in the city. The views around are spectacular though. Situated next to a small collection of food and drink vendors. Its a nice spot to stop at while visiting the gardens

  • 3/5 Francis Del R. 1 year ago on Google
Nothing beats cold draft beers on a warm day, with grilled meats and satay, to be enjoyed at the gardens by the bay at sunset (which cannot be viewed from the food center). For sure there are many better (and cheaper) places out there for beer and grill, but this one is inside the park. Quite a distance from the domes however and a lot closer to Marina Barrage.
